Screenwriter and actor George Kaplan is affectionately known in the biz as "Fozzi."

He entered porn through Veronica Hart who hired him to be a production assistant for a live Adam and Eve show called Pajama Party Live.

"I walked up the stairs at Trac Tech and there were three dozen naked ladies standing around. It was like high school theater with so little room. Then five minutes later, you realize you have a show to do, and you quit noticing [the nudity].

"At the end of the night, I went up timidly to Nina Hartley. I was like Beaver Cleaver, and I said: "Excuse me, Miss Hartley, I have a friend in New Orleans who's a fan of yours and I was wondering if I could get an autograph for him?

"I don't have any pictures," said Nina. "But there's a Polaroid camera over there."

"I get the camera. Nina gets up on this bar stool next to Sahara Sands who takes hold of her tits. And I snap the picture and they autograph it. And that was my first gig.

"One of the makeup girls was Marianne Walter (Kelly Nichols), who, along with her boyfriend (director) Wesley Emerson, were impressed with the way I handled everybody. So they hired me to be a Production Assistant (PA) for them.

"Then Jim Enright stopped by and he started hiring me to PA.

"In between all of this, I started writing scripts. I first worked on the script Attitude for Jon Dough's directing debut. Then I collaborated with Justin Sterling on Lust Runner and he put me in it.

"In March, 1995, Jim Enright called me for a script. I brought in a takeoff of Play It Again Sam. I had these wonderful scenes between the writer and his girlfriend. The girl they sent over was half-a-brain cell away from brain dead. Her retention skills were almost nil. She arrived late. This blonde couldn't understand the word "effervescent" or pronounce it. The director had to spoon feed her line by line."

Despite his achievements, George, a nice Jewish boy, hasn't slept with any of the female talent. "The only people who have f---ed me over are a couple of producers."

George lives in constant pain because of a slipped disc in his back. The one benefit of his condition is frequent massages from concerned porn girls.

He's written about 40 flicks, including Dream Team, Entangled, Graven Image, Night Tails, The F Zone, VR69, XXX Files: Lust in Space, NYDP Blue and Portrait of Dorie Grey. George has also acted in about 40 flicks, including Borderline, Shock and Fresh Meat 2.
