New York Jew Marlene Willoughby was "a rail thin brunette with typical Judaic Features," writes DrLove on RAME. "A brilliant actress who performed in many classics of the late 70's  early 80's, including foxtrot, and swedish erotica releases."

Marlene performed so many sex scenes with Carter Stevens (who frequently used the moniker Peter Ustinov) that they felt like man and wife, not a good formula for igniting red hot sex.

Willoughby starred in Outlaw Ladies, Foxtrot, Sunny, Pandora's Mirror, Intimate Desires, temptations, hot Dreams, Glitter, Puss 'n Boots, Wanda Whips Wall Street, Cosmo Girls, In Love, Naked Scents.

Willoughby, who appeared in the mainstream film Married to the Mob, dated actor Sonny Landham.

"I came from a solid theater background before doing porn movies," Willoughby told photographer Vivienne Maricevic. "I was always very comfortable being nude in front of an audience,  so it never bothered me. When I first started out in porn, I was a nymphomaniac. I was having  sex with everybody and totally enjoying it. Any movies that I've ever done were for the  character, not because I thought I was a "body  beautiful." That's something that I like about adult  movies that differs from Hollywood movies. In Hollywood, women have images, like goddess images. In porn, any woman can be cast, as long as she feels good about herself. She can be any shape or size and it doesn't matter what she looks like (that much). In straight films, roles for women are limited. If there's a woman cast, she's usually playing a hooker, a go-go dancer, a police woman, someone who wears a bikini, is nude or is flashing. So I felt that if I was going to be exploited either way, I might as well get the money for it. Porn films pay you better for being nude than straight movies pay for just playing a hooker.

"A lot of people have closed doors to me because of my association with porn. The men who have done porn have been able to cross the line to do legit work. With women, there's still a stigma. It's crazy because I started out straight. But it's a man's world. It would be fabulous to be able to do porn and straight and not be hated. Especially in the '80s,  with everything being so sexual, it's hard to understand. I'm bored with being nude; it's so easy for me to do, there's no challenge. I'd like the whole scene to change. It would be great to turn on the TV and never see a nude scene."
