I chat with black girl Kenya at (distributor) VIP's booth. In porn for eight months, she appears in about 30 scenes.

Kenya: "I'm signed up with Jim South. He's got so many girls. So if somebody looks for me or for black girls, he usually gives me a call. I can't complain."

Luke: "How have you found the reality of the industry compared to what you thought it would be like?"

Kenya: "It's nothing like what I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be a whole bunch of drugged out people making smut movies but it is a business. It's work and if you get a bad name, you'll be out of a work. I've learned how to market through this business. I've always worked 9-5. So, to actually be marketing and you're the product, is a different angle.

"I want to do this as long as I can, as long as the looks hold up. And then I want to get into the fashion industry. I graduated from Florida State with a degree in Fashion & Design. But don't print that. Shhh. We're all supposed to be smiley and bubbly. You'll let my secret out."

She laughs.

Luke: "What do you think of all the black productions that are hoe this, hoe that?"

Kenya: "I don't care for it and I try to stay out of those. But if it happens... Because when you do a shoot and you ask the name, and it could be this or it could be that, or they don't really know or they don't want to tell you... So I have ended up in a couple of those... But I try to stay away from the crack hos from South Central... We're all beautiful. We're all different colors and we should all be admired for who we are... But if someone fantasizes about getting a crack ho in an alley... If that's want they want, and they pay me enough, I'll do it."

She laughs hard.
