After a dozen years stripping and flipping tricks, Kalina Lynx aka Kelly Giraffe got sober for 30 days. "I started in March of 1995. I was doing 4-7 scenes a day. I was 30 days sober, had been a dancer and a hooker for over 12 years so having sex was no big deal- but I wasn't able to go back to old haunting grounds so I moved to LA to stay clean- sounds crazy but it worked I just celebrated three years. Anyway. I got a lot of scenes because of my lust for anal. I weighed 80 pounds- no tits- had a chip on my shoulder. Got it on in sex. Worked for lots of people- John T. Bone; Mike Hott; did a couple for Zane, Vid tech (Bondage) Prestige (Fetish); Rodney- in a couple Creme de la Face. I was usually the girl you'd remember the scene and not my name. Do mostly Euro stuff- I enjoy it and also I have never faked an orgasm in my life. Recently I learned to unleash myself and heightened my sexuality with female ejaculation. I did a seminar with Kerri Downs and Nick Long at Lifestyles in 96 and we were on HBO Real Sex 16.I never became a star. I mean, my prices are reasonable for what they get from me in a scene, but I think it's because I just don't know how to play the dumb-blond thing. I am honest, I do show up on time for a call time, I don't do drugs, but will f--- the producer to get a part. I have a home page where you can see what I look like- feel free to post it. Also within a couple of months I should have my web page up for some of my vids and such but most of them I can't sell because of the Euro stuff in it. I do a lot of fisting stuff. "

Kelly has lived with Nick Long and his girlfriend Kerri Downs since 1995. Porn critic Pat Riley describes Giraffe as "blonde, emaciated, marginal face, tall, tiny tits, shaven pussy, labia rings, unkept hair, white not-too-good skin."

Kelly's pumped up her breasts to 36D.

She worked at Nevada's Moonlight Ranch brothel for six months during 1997.

Yes, I have a question and I hope I don't offend anybody. But a few months ago I got a couple of rats and now they have turned into tribbles!! We have 34 babies that are 3-6weeks old. I am interested in donating them to research for cancer. Does anyone know of a research lab in southern California that takes rats. They are over-sized for their age and very healthy.

I go in for my surgery tomorrow, so I wont be posting for a few days. Hope all goes well with others and I thank all those who have helped me. Kelly

This may sound like a stupid question but what is the difference between chemotherapy and radiation? And what is the difference between cryology(?) and immunostaining. Sorry for my ignorance. Kelly

Subject: Cervical Cancer- Need Answers!!!

From: Kalina LynX <wildariel@earthlink.net>

Date: 1998/03/23

My name is Kelly. I am a 29 yr. old female and I need some answers on cervical cancer. Here is some of my background info. I've been told to be honest about things so here goes. I apologize now if I upset anybody with my post.

1. Recovering heroin/PCP addict was addicted for over over 10 yrs, clean now for 3 yrs.

2. Bulimarexic- lowest weight 51 lbs (am 5'6") had 2 heart attacks, 1 stroke.

3. First bout with ovarian cancer in 85. 2nd bout in 93. In 85, left ovary was removed. Refused reccomendation of hysterectomy. I was 16 and still had the illusion of wanting a family some day. In 93- not too sure what kind or anything but cervix wall was scraped and I had to take quite a bit of meds. To be perfectly honest- I was at the heighth of my drug abuse usage to really know much of reality. To get to the subject at hand.

Last year my pap came back inconclusive with something about suquamous?

I got a call on March 16 from the medical clinic I get my pap and mammo done at. I went in and the Physician assistant(that's the only doctor there) told me I had cervical cancer and I would need it to be freezed if possible or other options would be dicussed at my colposcopy appt. He wouldn't tell me anything else. My paper work reads this High grade SIL CIN 2 with possible grandular involvement. What does this mean?

The cytopathology report says High grade squamous intraepitheliallesin(SIL) CIN

2. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. What does this mean?

I am going to the oncologist on April 7th, what questions do I ask?

Also on Hx- Everyone in my family over the age over 30 has a type of cancer. My mother is in her final stage.

Please e-mail me with any information, help, etc. I feel like I am hitting another brick wall. I have worked so hard in the last 3 years to better my life. I weigh 118 now, my teeth are fixed, I really started to like myself and I am angry this had to happen. Is that normal. I don't know, the last times I was too numb to notice, now that I can feel I don't know how to handle this. The PA told me to go home - I am okay- don't worry about it.

Who tells Dr.s to give this info out to patients. I mean I know my odds are lessened by the fact of the multiple time of cancer and the genetic factor- why do some Doctors sugar-coat the truth? I have always wondered this?

THank you ahead of time, again Please Help! Kelly

Subject: GREAT News on my results!!!From: Kalina LynX <wildariel@earthlink.net>

I had my appointment Thursday I have been floating sorry I didn't postearlier. Got my biopsy results-didn't understand them completely but understood the end results I think.

Microscopic diagnosis - A.

endocervix, curettage: cin 2,High grade SIL. B. cevix-punch biopsy: cin 1 with HPV. (what's HPV?) My doctor recommended a hysterectomy because where it is in the cervix they may not get it all with a coning. I just wanted to know if this is accurate.

At first, I wasnt happy with the results I was numb, I was fighting with the memeory of my cancer 13 years ago I went thru the same thing "Yes its cancer-no its not." so I got scared again. Thinking oh God not again. But as a person I have developed an email friendship pointed out. Medeicine has come a long  way in that many years and how dare I be upset with that kinda good news. I want to thank that person anonamously(?)

Now I found out my problem may be not being able to get the treatment I need because I cant afford it. I have no insurance. Does anybody have any info that might help? I have til the 24th of April to decide. THanks Everybody for the notes and prayers. Keep on they seem to be working. THank you Kelly

Yesterday I had my appt. I was terrified but the doctor was very gentle.

THe cancer is in one area that he could tell. It looks like it is not invasive but he will know definitely next wednesday when I go back. He said it was serious but not life threatening. He basically echoed the advice I got from Dr. Stanbro and Dr. Roda. Thank you both for all theinfo and support.

He said it was too serious for cryosurgery but that "coning" might be a strong possibilty. He also mentioned if the biopsy wasn't good that radiation and hysterectomy would be the next alternative. What is coning? He explained it to me but I was still in a state of shock. Also after the culposcopy and biopsy, I am feeling quite a bit of pain now, and am also naseated, is this normal?

I also want to thank the few people that took the time to e-mail me when my thought s were kinda crazy. Okay - one more question- He used vinegar on swabs to swab the cervix he said this brought up the cancer.

Is this common practice? Again thanks an d I hope people will still e-mail, they really brighten my day. Kelly

This is inappropriate for this cancer supprt group. If you need a place to put your number try alt.sex.movies newsgroup. This place here is forthose of us that rely on the support of cancer news from people that have it or doctors or people that just show concern for Cancers and other terminal illnesses.

I am in the adult industry and unless what I was writing about had direct reflection as to my cancer would be offensive IMHO. Kelly

I got this response from my post earlier but this hasn't been posted yet. So here's this persons point of view and my response.

LCPofUSA (lcpofusa@aol.com) wrote on 26may98 : "Get a clue, loser. There's nothing erotic or sexy about watching a woman get victimized. When a woman spreads her legs willingly, because she wants  to seduce a  man, that's sexy..........I wonder if watching a woman get beaten up  turns you on too?" LCPofUSA

To which I, Kalina LynX/Kelly Giraffe replied:

I am not a loser- in fact, I am a rape survivor. I was raped in '94 and got pregnant by the rape. For me, doing the rape films has helped me not to hate men. Instead of becoming afraid of men, I took the bull by the horns and faced the pain and shame I felt. Not all people are the same and different therapies work for different people. 2 months after the rape, I did a very heavy scene reliving the rape with a friend of mine.

He picked 2 people that he trusted and then showed up during it. To this day, I have had no flashbacks or trauma of the rape nor am I afraid of men like so many wome n become after a rape. I only do rape movies with people that know my triggers, know how far they can take me before they  hit a danger zone. People I trust with my life is a very serious thing.

If that makes me a loser in your eyes, then I am sorry. To most, I have  become a winner and I will stick with those. Through it all I will  survive! Kelly

Also if this person had done their homework they would have known, I do bondage a nd rough sex movies, so of course I'd love to see a girl beatenas long as my turn  is next *grin*. If he doesn't like these kind of movies- don't watch them. There are enough movies for everyone to enjoy something. Just my opinion. Kelly

Nick Long writes on RAME: Yes, Kelly and Kalina are one in the same. She stopped using 'Kalina' as there are quite a few movies out there as Kalina when she was seriously underweight and yes, her teeth did need work. Since then she has had her teeth fixed, gained weight to a mere 115-120 (up from about 80-85) and has appeared in a few select videos as Kelly Giraffe (originally G'Raffe). One recent one is 'King of Cocks' with Mr. 18".

As to the cancer, she had successful surgery a little over a year ago and it has not returned, but that is a five year wait for a 'clear' report. Oh yes, and she has had the dreaded bolt-ons installed, but in her case it was not industry pressure. Along with the low weight, she also had extremely small tits, about a 32AAA. It has assisted her self-esteem tremendously. They were not done by an industry butcher, but by a respected surgeon in the mastectomy re-construction field, (unfortunately now retired). And to save the next question, yes, Kerri, Kelly and I are still together and working in industry related fields together. Kerri has been offered several 'come-back' - 'return of' vids and declined. She still 'squirts' in our personal life (as does Kelly), despite claims that the girls on film only do staged squirts for the camera. Kerri is webmaster for 7 websites and both girls now have their own small 'mainstream' companies (non-industry). I'm still just a suitcase pimp ;-)
