On 2/8/99, I talked at length with performer "Heaven Leigh" and her hubby "Brock."

She remembered the time she had dinner in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with a friend from high school who suggested, "why don't we stop off at the club and see what XXX is doing. It turned out to be my audition night. I got hired. I danced for a few weeks then went to college at Northwestern in Chicago. I danced sometimes during college when I need money. Then I had to drop out of school to take care of my mom in Ohio who was dying. She had a tumor and a bone marrow transplant but she didn't make it. She died 10/98. We went back for the funeral but haven't been back East since. The rest of my family is in Phoenix and Arizona.

"Yes, my [green] eyes are real. I do not wear contact lenses. That is usually the first question people ask me.

"We were thinking about quitting when we realized we couldn't get his kid back. But we talked about it and decided that we can't allow that. They want us to move back to Ohio and get a regular job. Porn talent in general seems to be fascinated with credentials. From Asia Carerra's MENSA trumpetings, to claims that Tricia Deveroux was a medical student, to "Heaven Leigh's" Northwestern degree. My hypothesis is these these people need intellectual validation since their chosen career does not value intellect whatsoever. Having multiple degrees has no bearing on the ability to look good while being petetrated by multiple guys. Also, many people feel (right or wrongly) that many porners alternative to porn is a dead-end job in a non-glamorous industry.

That said, credentials mean very little to me. I make assessments based on the content and logical structure of a person's communication. You (royal sense of the word) can claim any sort of academic decoration you like, but I'm swayed by the end result, not the appeal to academia.

1. On who's decision it was for the "Leigh's" to enter porn.

Let's look at the evidence, shall we? Mr. "Brock" claims that "Heaven chose to be here [in porn]. That was her decision and I stuck behind her. I gave up my career at Kroeger's [grocery store chain]..."

Wow. Is that what they teach at Northwestern? Blame others/peer pressure for your own CHOICES in life? The above "Heaven" quote is the most ridiculous thing I've read in quite some time. I've lived in Los Angeles for longer than the "Leigh's". I have no tattoos or piercings. It's not like they're mandatory when you cross over from Nevada. Blaming a frigging city and its
inhabitants for choices you freely made? OK, sure, "Leigh's". Whatever.

4. L.A. disparaged again.

"Heaven" says, This is the last place [Los Angeles] where I'd like to raise kids."

Well, I'd wager that most kids (all other things equal) would prefer to be raised in L.A. by a non-porn mom than by a mom who f---ed on film in Tennessee. But, hey, blame the city for what ails ya. It's easier than doing something pro-active like, say, MOVING the hell away if you don't like it so much. Drive in from San Diego or Las Vegas to do porn if L.A. is so damn distasteful to you.

5. On Academic credentails.

"Heaven" says, "People think that we don't have brains and can't do anything else but porn. But when you have a college education, there's obviously more that you can do."

Hmmm...in Ms. "Leigh's" world, apparently, "could haves" are as important as reality.

In my world, we don't judge people on what they "could" do or "might" do or "will do when the planets are aligned correctly." In my world, the fact that Lenny Bias could have been an NBA star is not as notable as the fact that he died after overdosing on coke. In my world, what you ACTUALLY DO takes precedence over hypotheticals. I obviously could be the CEO of Universal Pictures. Who cares? I'm not.

What Ms. "Leigh" has proven is that for wherever her diploma could take her [she did not graduate Northwestern], so far it has gotten her a plum job sucking dicks and f---ing on camera. In my world, it is safe to assume that whatever other options her degree has conferred upon her, this is the one she feels is best. You don't have to have a degree from Northwestern or any other college to hazard as guess as to the viability of her "other" alternatives.

One last thing Luke, regarding "Brock's" 1000 acre plot in Tennessee. Could you get the "scoop" on whether:

A) Land is really, really cheap in Tennessee

or

B) Assistant Managers at Kroeger's in Tennessee get paid exceedingly well?

First of all it was my decision and my husband did not make me do porn I

for his divorce. Then we moved in together and lived for awhile and
finally his divorce was final and we got married if that's a crime than
shoot me!!!! A divorce doesn't happen in a week or a month where we live
don't know about where your from!! The corruption part was a joke your
reading an interview you were not present at and I was laughing when I
said that no one corrupted me it was a joke!

The part about living here in LA was a joke also we were laughing about
the tattoos and stuff! No we would probably not have gotten them had we
not moved here but that was the whole point of it IT was just the fact
that we had gotten them and thought it was interesting how we wouldn't
had if we didn't live here! Also people are weird here and also very
stupid! Thank God I'm from back East!!! And no I don't want to raise my
kids here however, that's none of your business either I'm not going to
tell you where to raise your kids and when and if I'm ready to have kids
I will move back to Tennessee! I never said LA was distasteful to me
ever did I say that I just don't want to have kids here and when I do
move and have kids I will not do porn and by the time my kids are older
