"Still need lymphs removed, as it has spread there (one tumor, right side), but am uninsurable, and can't do surgery til the old house sells, and we have the cash. "I refused chemo or radiation, and have outlived my original prognosis at this time. Cervical and lymphatic cancers are common in my family on one side, and I was told I am genetically predisposed. "Sux........but ya know what? I beat it so far..........and I intend to keep beating it. I am doing it with surgery, diet, excercise, attitude, and determination. I am too f---ing stubborn to die... "Kinda explains my stubborn insistence to bringing the f---ing industry outa the back alleys. I am dead set certain that we will blow the industry out of the water very soon, and they will not like it. We know that, but we are not here to make friends, we are here to make money, and a name for ourselves. We will do it as intelligent professionals though, not in a locked office with girls giving blow jobs for work. "We intend to release the first 3 features this fall, we are behind schedule right now so our August release turned to October. Sigh......... Eden Rae on the condom mandate: (6/1/98) I respect the choice of the individual performer who asks to do condom only. I have no respect for an industry wide mandate, announced by an organization that claims to, but does not, represent the performers. I sure the hell do not respect the attempts to cram it down my throat as a producer. I respect even less the attempts of a few washed up ex-performers telling me that I as talent, should be willing to lose work in support of a measure I do not agree with. It is easy for someone with no vested interest in working or losing money as talent to say. Any wonder why so many girls are whoreing themselves? Because idiots like Margold and Mitchell are telling them to take a cut in their already meager earnings, in the sake of a crusade they were not involved in the adoption of. As a performer, I can NOT just go ahead and support their tactics like a sheep. If I were to do so, I would NEVER work again. Why? Because I am allergic to condoms, and it would be a death knell for my career. Why should I stop performing because Sharon Mitchell and Margold insist on condoms? In all reality, FSC only supports the freedom of their own speech, and refuses to accept disention within the talent ranks. Anyone who thinks that the whole condom only thing is due to philanthropic care for the talent is being brainwashed. It's all due to one thing, VIVID, VCA, etc. do not want to be sued if someone contracts HIV on their set. Since they will lose market share to the non-condom companys by going all condom, it is in thier monetary interest to try to force the rest of the industry to go condom only with them. They contribute to FSC and PAW. To think that their monetary contributions have no weight when PAW and FSC choose their platforms, is ridiculous. The companys and PAW/FSC care no more now, than they ever did before, when the only thing they required testing for was HIV, despite the prevalence of other diseases. Our company requires all talent to be tested for Hepatitis, and innoculated against it, before working for us, or being listed with us for placementas talent. We requirethis of EVERYONE, even the exotic dancers who do not do XXX and the girls who only do magazines. We screen out girls who have done escort or massage work previously, and will do criminal backround checks for any drug or prostitution related charges. If FSC and PAW were so concerned about everyones safety, they would pound their fists on the table, and demand every other agent and producer do the same. 6/2/98: I, for once, agree with Brandy, although some do escort, many of us DON'T. Ask Trey what I said to him about the subject in an IM conversation on aol. Something to the effect of "God, I could never whore myself." Even though I do tour as a dancer, I do not do anything on the side, and never have. I do not even do lap dances or table dances any longer. I occasionally bring a bachelor party guy or birthday guy on stage, and pick on him, but there is not direct sexual contact, even thru clothes.
