After undergoing an adult masectomy, Chance no longer has breasts. He usually appears like a man. Ryder suffers from poor health. He lives platonicly with performer Alyssa Love. "People say I'm a hermaphrodite, which has one testicle and one ovary. I am not a hermaphrodite. I have no testicles. I have two ovaries and am XX chromosome. "I'm every bit a man and a woman. I am the perfect bitch and the perfect man, depending on what you're looking for." Chance's sexual tastes vary. "When I'm in a crowd surrounded by good looking men, I become female. When surrounded by good looking women, I become male. "I am very unhappy. I spend hours crying. I frequently feel suicidal. "I'm trying to get movies. I'm trying to get these [pornographer] dickheads to understand that people want to see something different, something unusual... that will take them away from their own reality. My reality takes everybody away from their own reality. I'm funny, a natural comedian, but these producers out there don't understand. "I make people laugh. You think you're dick's small, look at mine. "I gather my pleasure from other people's pleasure, from entertaining. People tell me, 'You're childhood must've been hell.' Well, the little bastards grew up and they got worse." Chance went into a coma after overdose of drugs prescribed by his/her shrink and died a few days later in early November, 1999.
