Prodigy X Sounds Off

I've been acquainted with Prodigy X (MySpace) for a year or two or three. He's a tall black guy with a long goatee.

I spoke to him for almost an hour over the phone Sunday night, Jan 22, 2006.

As I publish his words, I welcome responses from anyone who knows Prodigy or is named by Prodigy in our interview.

Prodigy: "I just don't know where to start."

Luke: "How did you get into the porn industry?"

Prodigy: "When I was 19, I lived in a homeless shelter. I saw an ad in the LA Weekly: 'Guys, want to work with beautiful porn stars?' I thought it was like a gangbang. I thought, hey, I've been wanting to get into this for a while. Why don't I go down here? I went down and it turned out to be a bukkake [Jim Lane's American Bukkake] -- with about 60 other guys standing around.

"The director said you had to stand around, beat your meat, and come on a girl's face and get paid.

"I did two of those. Back then it paid $50 each. The HIV-test was $85. There was no chlamydia and gonorrhea check at the time.

"I've been going to every one since American Bukkake 15. The only one I missed was 20.

"What motivated me [to get into porn] was watching [a lot] of porn. These guys get to be with a bunch of beautiful women without even knowing them. Hopefully this is something that will get me into a better situation as well.

"On my first bukkake, I met Jasper Wade (a 6'3" buffed black guy). Jim told Jasper to watch out for me. I started working with Jasper. I had a little VHC camera that was good for nothing. We started shooting scenes. He was the talent. I was the cameraman.

"It turned out that Jasper was into a lot of other things -- heavy drugs. He was never on time. He didn't pay the talent when he was supposed to pay them. He was supposed to pay me about $300 per scene for camerawork.

"A few weeks go by. He tells me my camera is not good enough. I go out and find two other camera guys who've just graduated from filmschool.

"We organize a shoot in Century City. Jasper doesn't show. We wait about five hours.

"He calls me back the next day and says he was in trouble, blah blah. Could we do it again?

"We used a Puerto Rican girl named Alexis. He was supposed to pay her $300. We did the shoot. He only paid her $50. She said her husband was going to be pissed off, so he went out and at least got her some drugs or something. They smoked. He was supposed to pay her back later.

"He never paid me. He disappeared. I heard he was in jail. I heard he went back to Japan.

"He's come back a few times. He's worked for T.T. Boy and Jim Powers. I heard the guy started smoking something more potent than weed. He was going to sets and flapping his arms about as though he could fly and making an ass out of himself.

"Jasper took all the footage from me and never paid me a penny. I haven't seen the guy since.

"I started asking people how to get into the industry. People told me, 'What you need to do is bring some girls that want to work with you and then the companies will shoot you.'

"I think, OK, that shouldn't be too hard to do.

"At the same time, I'm still going through hard times. I'm living off the streets. No place to stay.

"I start going to malls and walking up to every girl I can. Maybe talk to a hundred girls and I'd be lucky to get three that wanted to do it.

"I started taking the girls around and asking if I could work with the girls."

Luke: "Did many of the girls get angry at you?"

Prodigy X: "Yeah. Luckily, I've never been slapped. A lot of them looked at me and said, 'You look like you're broke, like you don't have any money. What are you supposed to do for me?'

"A lot of them get offended. 'I would never do that.' They look like they're getting ready to slap you but they don't.

"I didn't feel too good about it but I knew I had to make a move.

"As I started taking the girls around to companies such as West Coast Productions, Multimedia, Darkside, etc, the same people that told me before, 'If you bring some girls down, we'll shoot you,' all of a sudden say, 'We have our own guys, but we'd like to use your girls. We'll give you an agency fee [around $80].'

"I didn't really like it, but I said, 'Oh well, I might as well do it.'

"My mistake at the time was that I wasn't managing girls. I was just getting girls and taking them to companies."

[For instance, Joel Lawrence of Gold Star Modeling pays a $500 referral fee for each girl who signs up with his agency.]

"I ran into some hard times again. I must've disappeared off the scene for a year or two and the only thing I was doing was bukkakes whenever they came up and a few blobangs here and there.

"Three years ago, after moving to a stable place and getting off the street, I thought to myself, 'I need to go into [managing girls] fullforce.'

"I started putting ads in the LA Xpress to get girls. I learned that managing girls is very difficult. They don't show up for shoots and then call you two weeks later. Just trying to get all the paperwork together...and get them to show up on time.

"I've had girls not show up and the next thing I know is that the director is never speaking to me again.

"Managing didn't work too well, so I tried to do the performing thing again.

"After three years of begging Jim Powers to get me in a scene, he finally agreed. [Production manager] Johnny Thrust called me. He told me it was going to be a big boob video. I should've asked if it was going to be fat girls.

"At the time, there was a bus strike. I don't have a car. I'm paying taxis and walking two miles to get to the place. I got there two hours late. When I go in there, there are all these fat chicks standing around. I have nothing against fat girls, but you know... Out of all the fat chicks there, they gave me the fattest.

"I know now that 19 out of 20 guys in the industry take something for performance enhancement [viagra, levitra etc]."

Prodigy X talks about his first sex scene. It was with a fat chick. "I was rock solid doing the blowjob with this chick. She bites me, the left side of my head. It starts to bleed. I stopped for a bit. Then we started again.

"We started off with me on top. I tried to get in. She's an extremely big chick. As I get in, I'm in pain. I'm not doing much. She's dry down there. Her hair was growing back and cutting in to me. It was so painful, I had to stop.

"I pulled Jim [Powers] aside and told him that she'd bitten me and I was in pain. Her pussy was like a razor.

"We go back in. She's supposed to be riding me on top. I get hard. She jumps on top. As I go to grab, I lose my right arm. It collapsed. It's not a pretty sight. I also lose my wood. I couldn't do it.

"Afterwards, I asked Jim if he normally used guys for the first time with unattractive and fat chicks, just to prove themselves. He said yeah, that's what we do. 'If you can work with a girl like this, you can work with anybody.'

"I met the black guy Bishop, a performer, and asked him for a ride [to a shoot]. He said he couldn't give me a ride.

"I called [production manager] Johnny Thrust. He said Bishop had called him asking to take my place in the scene.

"Now Bishop's working for them all the time."

After our talk, Prodigy summarized in an email his thoughts about fellow pornographer Brian Moore:

I met Brian at an H.I.V. and other S.T.D. prevention meeting at A.I.M. He seemed like the nicest guy in the world at first encounter but I sensed that something was wrong. He gave me a ride to the nearest bus stop and we exchanged phone #’s that night. He called me promptly and we agreed to become partners. He knew absolutely nothing about the industry so I had to teach him all the basic from scratch.

Brian wanted to produce amateur video in his apartment and nothing else but after trying to convince him that management would be the way to go for a couple of weeks he agreed. At first I started off doing all the bookings and things of that nature while he observed. He still wanted to shoot but neither of us had much money so he called a friend in Arizona about a half year after he initially said that he was going to find an investor.

The conditions of the money were that no matter what neither of us could spend a dime without the both of us agreeing. Well a couple of month’s later I finally had some people in mind that would shoot for cheap being that it was only $1,500. When I approached Brian about the loan so that we could shoot he informed me that most of it was gone and there was only like a $100 left. I was furious and asked what happened to the money. He told me that he had been spending the money on the ads and that even though he told me that he bought his digital camera with his own money he in fact then turned around and used the loan to pay off the bill.

Originally (before the money) he was placing ads in the L.A. Express using his own money and somehow I was suppose to be psychic and automatically know that he was going to spend the loan money on that purpose after he received it. Even though we agreed at the beginning that the money was for shoots only unless we came together and decided to use it on another purpose.

Well this guy still expected me to pay off half of the money and still until this day hasn’t let that go even lying to people partners that he invested the money into one of my projects and that I f---ed up. But of course this is coming from a guy who never lies (Yeah f---ing right!). Well even after problems arrived he was still begging me to move in with him and telling me that things would be better once we were living together. Like an idiot I finally moved to save a little money and in retrospect it was one of my biggest mistakes ever.

Even Living on and off of the streets for five years (ages 16-21) was better than living with him. First I get there and nothing is the way he said it was going to be. He immediately tries to take booking matters into his own hands which was disastrous. He would have girls showing up to sets not knowing how much they were going to get paid or even what they were going to do. There were times when girls would show up and not know that they had an anal scene or had to perform with five guys.

From what I hear that even still goes on to this day which is a damn shame after a year and a half of doing the same thing you would think that a person would learn. Hell I never even f---ed up one booking on my part, not even from the beginning so either you have it or you don’t. Also what I said about him being the nicest guy in the world, when people meet him for the first time he can be, but try seeing him all the time and you’ll notice constant and gradual changes in his behavior over a course of a month.

He goes from the nicest to the most underhanded, lying, cheating, backstabbing, and annoying person you could ever know. Take this from a guy who once stayed in a mental illness program with schizophrenics for shelter, he’s far more sick in the mind than any of them are. Take for instance the time he was getting ready to go out of town. I went to his computer and opened a gallery (porn) to look at for a few minutes and was done.

He went to his computer and a window popped open (porn), it was two days until he had to go on vacation. He sat at that computer for nearly two days looking at hundreds of galleries and thousands of pictures because every time a new window popped open he had to go to every single girl on the site and look at or download her pictures into his Jack Off Folder for easy access.

He blamed me of course because if I never had opened that first window none of this would have ever happened. So it was now my responsibility to make his talent scouts a flyer because he didn’t have the time. No matter what this guy is doing , whether brushing his teeth, making a meal or looking at constant porn on the internet he’s always taking care of business because as he puts it “My Penis Is My Briefcase” that’s the quote of the year.

His internet porn habit which I kicked off supposedly got so bad that he said he had no choice but to jack off in front of me because I wouldn’t get out of bed and leave him alone for 30 minutes to an hour at 1:30 A.M. in the morning and he continued this almost every day for a week straight until I said enough! and agreed to leave at his every whim. The bed was uncomfortably close to the computer which was only one almost close to two feet away. Also for some strange reason he had to set aside a specific masturbation time for 11:00 P.M. because it’s right after the 10:00 O’ Clock news, go figure. You might be wondering why we were in the same room. Brian would invite new people to come and stay as roommates all the time because he wanted to save money.

He invited a friend who he told me was a thief and a crack head and gave me no choice so I had to take his bed for a while because that guy snored tremendously loud. Of course no matter how many people came he wanted the rent to stay the same in the tiny one bedroom. Once, this porn chick Nicole Brazzle came over after having a mental breakdown. Well to make an extremely long story a little shorter he would keep falling for porn girls who showed the least bit of interest or no interest at all trying to establish a relationship but it won’t happen. I told him in the beginning this is just business don’t fall for your talent because in most cases it won’t work.

The straw that started breaking the camels back for me was the fact that his O.C.D. behavior which he doesn’t think he has became too much to cope with. Everything has to be in a certain order and if it’s not he can’t rest. I was looking for a business card once for an important cause. He stacked my paper on top of his and when I began to go too far I moved a piece of fortune cookie paper a few inches out of place temporarily. He lost his damn marbles and bitched at me for more than a half hour about putting that piece of paper in the exact order in which it was found.

If anything is ever a centimeter off on his desk all hell will break lose. No matter what time of day it is the guy has to eat breakfast food first or the day won’t seem right even if it’s 5 P.M. in the evening and yes as a roommate things like that affected me quite a bit because it usually involved me somehow. Of course I had to end our partnership because this little game had gone too far. It took a while because he kept telling me he could change and make it work as if we were a damn couple or something.

But alas I broke it off and it was indeed liberating. Then other problems arose such as potential talent leaving him because when they walked into the apartment they saw a black guy there who he introduced as a former partner and according to him that’s all it took for them to break off contact with him for the simple fact that they didn’t like black guys.

I hear that his newest lie now is that he owes the mob some money and that he’s hiding in Canada. Don’t worry I didn’t just alert the real mob to his whereabouts because he’s actually at home just trying to scam a few hundred dollars out of another hard working individual which he has deceived. I still tried to give the guy some advice on several occasions even though he’s f---ed me severely many times without lube (figure of speech for those of you who have as much common since as Brian).

Some pointers that he still hasn’t quite learned but could benefit from.

1. He let’s his talent run all over him. He doesn’t know how to put his foot down and stand firm.

2. He compromises too often over things that have been set in stone.

3. He does not cover all details when booking talent for gigs if any details at all.

4. He becomes too possessive and acts like a jealous boyfriend which scares talent off.

5. He can’t make up his mind and constantly changes things which confuse many people.

6. He finds way to blame others for any problem he’s ever having therefore never taking responsibility for any of his actions.

7. He has a very narrow and limited mind & imagination in fact it’s almost non-existent so he copy cats a lot and changes a word or too and swears that it’s original.

8. He lacks the ability to follow through with even the most simple of plans.

9. He’s too much of a fan to be a good manager or director.

10. If you look closely into the toilet you may find the shattered s--- clumped remains of his self-esteem and personality.

The list goes on and honestly speaking this guy has put me through so much s--- that I could go on for five more pages Nah make that ten but I’ll leave you with this.

If you’re considering working with a Brian Moore please do so at your own risk this guy’s like a walking, talking cancer who cares for no one but himself.

Prodigy X's Introduction To Performing

He emails me:

When Jim Powers finally gave me a shot after a few years to do a scene I was Ecstatic. He gave me Johnny Thrust’s Pager # so I called and was booked for a Boy/Girl scene in a big titty video. I was suspicious that the girl would be fat because of all the big titty videos in the store and thought to myself please not on my first Boy/Girl.

Well, the second recent M.T.A. strike was on and I had very little cash so getting there was hard. First I called Bishop for a ride but he was busy and could not come all the way to my area to pick me up. Several other attempts to find a ride were a no-go as well.

I called Johnny and told him that I had to find a special strike bus and maybe catch a cab the rest of the way he told me to come on as fast as I could because Bishop was there trying to take my space. He then proceeded to bash Bishop’s name into the dirt over the phone by calling him a jerk, slime ball, sleaze bag, and a crook among other things. I told him that Bishop was cool with me and that I had no problems with him.

I arrived about two hours after they told me to show up but with what I know about multimedia now I was just on time because they like to book hours early to make sure every one is there. I saw Bishop who was waiting to do my scene as well as L.T., and Byron Long.

Upon further analysis Bishop was in fact driving female talent to that particular shoot and not trying to purposely take my spot as Johnny had indicated. Byron started his scene with Xplosive and knocked it out and then my scene came up. It was my first Boy/girl scene so I was nervous to say the least and they also gave me the biggest most unattractive girl there.

When the camera started rolling the nervousness went away and I got hard for the blowjob with no problem. Then she started using her teeth and I kept telling her not too until she finally bit me. The left side of my head on my penis started to swell but I got through the B.J. and started the first position which was missionary. The pain was irritating and the girl had stubble growing back and was dry down there so the friction was terrible.

For a person who’s had very little sex and always exercised the utmost cautiousness when doing so off camera that experience took me to a whole new level. Also remember that the head of my penis was cut. Well what a hell of an introduction into an industry that I’ve long wanted to be a part of. I went home that night with my head hanging down but swore to myself that it was never going to happen again and it hasn’t sure I’ve had a problem here or there like most performers do and trust me I been to quite a few sets but I’ve knocked out some Boy/Girls and Gang Bangs successfully since and I’m not looking back.

Well, needless to say, Johnny never booked me again although he called me once looking for my partner Brian’s phone #. I hadn’t spoken to Johnny in about half a year at the time so I called him the next day seeing if he had anything coming up that I could participate in and of course the answer was no I’m busy right now by (click).

That same day Brian’s telling me that he spoke to Johnny and that according to him I call him all the time almost every day in fact asking him about work even though before he called me I hadn’t spoken to the guy for at least five months. I don’t know if this is true or if Brian’s lying.

Another thing I hear is that I have a reputation around the industry for not keeping wood. How? I had only done two Boy/Girls at the time and there were no problems on the second so how could an unknown performer have a reputation when guys who’ve done as many as fifty scenes don’t have one yet. I don’t know who’s lying in this case whether it’s Johnny or Brian but they’re both known for talking behind people’s backs and smiling in their faces. I really don’t care about someone’s power in the industry. Several people I’ve known have told me to keep my mouth shut because these big time people will crush your reputation. Well I say f--- them because I know that I stand for the truth and not some watered down bulls--- because I’m realness in its absolute most pure form.

I have witnessed a certain individual set up shoots with a total disregard for life and kept my mouth closed about the situation. Although I told him that it wasn’t right and that he like everyone else should consider having the performers tested before hand by A.I.M. he did not listen. Yes even though I knew of this I kept my lips ceiled tight, but I too recently became a foolish victim of the notorious Brian Moore.

On December 20th 2005 I went to the one and only shoot he booked me for and arrived with my I.D’s and A.I.M. test armed and ready. The female talent whom I shall not name told me that she did not have her test on her at that time. Brian told me that her test was only a few days old and that she took a new one. The actress also told me that she had recently taken another test so I proceeded to call A.I.M.

At that moment she interjected abruptly saying that her current test wasn’t taken at A.I.M. but by her personal doctor. This caused a little suspicion but I thought that if the test she had before was all negative and only expired by a few days then maybe I’d give it a shot.

Well I knocked out two scenes with her, a boy/boy/girl and a boy/girl back to back with no problems on my part so in this aspect I was happy. A couple of days later I was still worried so I called A.I.M. and asked for her previous test results. Well they existed but the date she took her test was October 13th 2005 and we shot on December 20th 2005 so you do the math.

Maybe I’m not the smartest guy on the God’s Green Earth, but it seems to me that the test was expired more than just a few days. Out of all the people he’s done this sort of thing to I didn’t think he would be stupid enough to do it to me or that I’d be stupid enough to fall for it. This pretty much seals it for me because no one plays Russian Roulette with my life.

Please guys don’t make my foolish mistake, if any of you hear about or consider working for a Brian Moore or Vision X Video don’t take his word for anything make sure you see the I.D.’s and test with your own eyes or you could be in a world of trouble.

Why is it that many girls of all races, even black say that they don’t do black guys because they’ve been raped by them? This has to be the lamest excuse of all, why? Because I’ve also known quite a few girls of different races who have been raped by white guys and I don’t think I really need to tell you how many of them refuse to work with white guys. 0, so I’d like a response from girls in the industry who have been raped by guys of different backgrounds and compare the results.

I think that most of the girls who use this excuse with black guys never really liked them in the first place so by saying this it all makes sense to not work with them. Also another lame excuse is that everyone has a personal choice and they should work with the race of performers they like. I dare any white female performer who doesn’t do interracial in hopes of furthering their career to ask any successful and I repeat successful black actress if they could and should do the same thing when it comes to white guys.

The truth has not been told from the black perspective because yes while any white actress or actor will tell you that it’s your preference they don’t realize that black talent in this industry are not given a chance to have a preference. You either work with white people or you have no career. It’s just that simple. Sure there have been black actresses in the past who didn’t work with white guys but how many scenes did they do before they either had no choice or had to leave the industry.

Lame excuse #3 is the, it’s not all black guys I’d fuck Kobe Bryant in a second. Baby a life long Nigger Hating Porch Monkey Blasting K.K.K. Member would fuck Kobe Bryant in a second. I’ll give you three hint’s Fame, Money and More Money. It’s funny how a black guy has to be famous and have millions for the average trashy hooker the think that he’s on the same level as her.

Lame excuse #4, if a black guy treated me right I’d have no problem doing a scene with them. The obvious question that comes to mind is if every white guy treats them right and how do you know if a black guy would treat you right or not if you’ve never done a scene with one. So basically these girls show up to a set and if this white guy is mistreating her she cancels the shoot immediately right, not! I also find it quite difficult to believe that there are no black guys in this industry who are respectful to women on set.

Some girls say that black guys are disrespectful during the scene. First of all let me say that the majority of white guys in the industry are far more aggressive with the excessive spitting, slapping, choking, name calling, etc. most black guys don’t do those things. As far as name calling is concerned the girls should think more clearly about who’s at fault. Look at the difference of when you do interracial for a black owned company such as West Coast Productions or a black director which are few and far between and then look at the same guy with a white company or director. If you do this you’ll notice that there’s less to almost no racial slurs with the black directors. Why? Because directors let their talent know what they want before the scene starts and it’s a known fact that white directors love to have that rough black guy image fucking the little helpless white girl accompanied by racial slurs (Not all white directors of course).

Lame excuse #5, my stock will go down. Reality check most gonzo companies shoot white girls who work with black guys even if they don’t shoot that type of material themselves. Your stock will only go down with the person who told you that and certain companies that contract girls do to their core audience. Now realistically speaking, unless you look like a runway model turned porn girl you’re not going to get a contract with anybody. Sorry to say but I see girls who are not that attractive holding out for that reason and it’s laughable when I see them doing interracial a year later with no contract. Also think about this, Lauren Phoenix won female performer of the year at the 2005 A.V.N.’s and Audrey Hollander won it this year and they both did tons of interracial left and right, anal and all so obviously the majority of fans don’t care if a girl works with a black guy.

When a girl who has been holding out starts doing interracial all the black male talent should refuse to work with her. If that’s happens long enough girls will hear about that also when they enter the business. Bottom line black male talent is tired of getting all the leftovers after everyone else have had their fun. The main difference between black male talent and white male talent is that if a white guy watches a video and sees a girl he likes he can request her no matter what race without thinking, whereas a black guy first has to find out if the girl does interracial which in porn means black guy because believe me when I say that white girls who don’t do interracial will do a Hispanic guy on camera in a second.

All girls who do interracial from the beginning should get with all the black male talent and agree that no one will do interracial for at least a few months. Yes this will temporarily hurt people’s pocket but look at the long term benefits. Either that or let black talent have the same options that white talent have had from the beginning, it’s fuckin’ 2006 people, Wake Up! A Terrible Mistake

Today I received a list from a guy I know in the business who received it from a guy he knows (names omitted). The list probably has at least 2000 E-Mails or more but I still went through it with a fine tooth comb to take the hundred or so E-Mails that I already have. It was supposed to be a list of adult companies so I started copying and pasting the E-mails a chunk at a time with my pics and stats. Of course most of them weren't usable anymore so I got plenty of failed messages and hour E-Mail limits. Some people contacted back to ask for my rate and availability and some replied back with take me off your f---ing list you scumbag. I also got advice (as if I didn't know) to use to B.C.C. feature so everyone couldn't see who I was sending E-Mail to but I'm sure they have to be on your list to do that as I was just copying and pasting.

But what shocked the living hell out of me and damn near took my breath away is when I received a call from a very angry fellow who claimed that I sent his nine year old daughter that same E-Mail with my two naked pics. The first thought in my mind was why the f--- would a nine year old's E-Mail address be on an adult mailing list? The second thought was jail, so after reading this I'm sure everyone knows that this wasn't intentional as though I were stalking someones prepubescent daughter. I'm not a f---ing sick ass pedophile and I tried apologizing to the guy several times for the mix-up but he was heated as most people should be, I know I would. The first thing though is trying to get to the bottom of a situation and not just overreacting. He was telling me how much trouble I could get in etc. but I'm not so sure do to the circumstances. After I got off the phone with this gentlemen I called the guy who sent the list to me and told him what happened. He was shocked too and had not utilized the list himself as he was planning on going through it next week.

I know that there are several others who have the list as well but I don't know which E-Mail belongs to this guy's daughter and I would not want them to go through the same headache that I'm going through. I tried to call the gentleman back and his voice message picked up. The name on that message sounded familiar so I went through a list of contacts and found a director by that name who works for one of the biggest adult companies in the United States Period (name also withheld at present time). It's starting to make sense now if this is indeed the guy. I think that he tries to keep his personal life separated from his work as everyone should but sometimes they cross paths unexpectedly. I don't know how but it's just too much of a coincidence for him to be a director of adult material and his daughter's E-mail address just happens to land on someone's adult industry list. Although it may very well be his fault I still feel bad about the situation and have abandoned the list as there may be more mix-ups on it. I still can't help but to think that if he were to press charges that the courts may see the situation differently.
