Papillon's Dramatic Weekend
2003-08-18 13:01:11

Papillon works regularly under the name Jenna at The Strip Joint in Pomona when she needs money.

Papillon tells me Monday, August 18: "Friday night. It is very difficult to stay up all night and stay sober. Oh well. I don't get out much. I don't like people. They make me nervous.

"I have so much gossip, so little time. Mainly from my club. The cops came in. The club fired a girl who's been there for three years, when I started. I thought they would never fire her because she's charter, meaning that if you open the club, we pay less [to the club] than everybody else pays. We come in when we want to. She got canned because she was causing drama.

"She called the cops after she was fired and said there was prostitution going on in the club. So the cops came in Sunday night. That club is going to be watched."

Luke: "Was there prostitution going on?"

Papillon: "By some girls, yeah. A lap dance can be considered prostitution. We're all going to have to be careful."

Luke: "Have you ever committed acts of prostitution there?"

Papillon: "No, but it depends on what you mean by prostitution. I don't have sex and I don't give blowjobs."

Luke: "If you make the guy cum when you're giving him a lap dance, that's prostitution."

Papillon: "But I don't charge for that, but if they want to give me extra money, that's different.

"The girl who got fired and I are good girls. We only have certain customers we dance with. This girl who started six weeks ago is trouble.

"On Wednesday, when I found out I needed a new harddrive for my computer, I went to a customer and asked if he wanted a dance. He said he was waiting for this new girl. I said, ok, no problem. Then he said, But, if you would take care of me like she takes care of me, I'll give you a $100. I'm laughing at him.

"All Wednesday night, I was running around saying I was going to change my name to something that rhymes with the name of the new girl. Everybody's laughing because everybody knows what I mean.

"The girl that does the extra sh-t started crying when the girl who got fired came up to her and said, you can't do that. Or at least if you are going to do it, charge some more, because it is killing us. We're dying. She's doing it for $100. Entrance to the VIP room is $75. She'd doing it (BJ) for just $25 extra.

"She gives the guy the whole thing and then she doesn't wash up afterwards.

"This girl has a lot of children also. She says, I have to feed my kids. I say, You do ten VIPs a night. What are you trying to feed 'em? Seven course meals every night? If she'd charge some more, it would give some of us chances to give dances also. Other people have to feed their children too."

Luke: "Why would anyone want to get a lapdance when they can get a blowjob for just $25 more dollars?"

Papillon: "With that extra $25, you get laid too. Who knows if she is even using a condom? Anybody that lets anybody eat your crotch, because that is not happening with me. You're going to catch something.

"Guys don't think. They think that they're getting all this extra stuff because the girl really likes him. No."

Luke: "How much do you think she should be charging?"

Papillon: "$300 minimum.

"Both my ex-husbands work at the Tropical Lei strip club. Their VIP room starts at $300. Don't sell yourself cheap. If you're going to be a whore, at least be a paid whore.

"You know how many porn stars do outcall, privates, and all that other stuff. They charge big money. Then you have all these other girls giving it up for $200. What's your problem? You're killing it.

"I do my own thing but I won't specify that. That's nobody's business but my own. If people want to know what I'll do, they'll have to email me. I'm a good girl. I won't have sex and I won't give a blowjob.

"And I don't do X for everybody I meet."

Luke: "That's only for a special man."

Papillon: "It's only for people I've been dancing with for quite a while. My normal lap dances don't suck, but they are so much better when I know you. I'm doing my test. You know how guys will go in and test the girls. With me, I don't know if you're a cop. I'm going to chill and do my own thing.

"I almost got in a fight on my birthday, Saturday night, when I worked. I was doing a lap dance with a customer of three years. I have no problem telling people at the club what I do. This is not with every single person. It's none of their business what I do because I don't ask them what they do.

"Here's this girl standing on top of a couch looking over the cubby at my booth. Yeah, my hand was on his ----. Didn't she already know that? She was making me and my customer uncomfortable.

"I'm very discrete about what I do. It's not for people to look at. It's no one's business what I do.

"Sometimes in the dressing room, some girls will say, ohmigod, I don't do anything. The girls who harp the loudest are the ones doing the most.

"I started dancing on my 19th birthday. I've heard it all. I've seen it all. And it's these bad-ass bitches... I was so mad. The owner had to keep me away from her all night.

"In the dressing room, the girls will say, Jenna's dirty. To an extent. I don't mind giving the once in a blue moon -------- but there's always a ------ on it. I'm not going to sit there and say, oh no, I'm the cleanest dancer ever.

"Half the porn stars are doing privates but most of them keep it to themselves. You don't want it to be public knowledge. You don't want the law to crack down on you.

"Those who advertise - good luck to you. I hope you don't have children because they will be taken away.

"I don't do outcall because that is going to affect my [porn] work. I'm not there [porn] for monetary [but artistic reasons].

"The porn industry girls who are doing extras, you don't want to work with them because you're worried about them...

"If I know a guy in the industry is doing bisexual stuff, I don't want to do him. I would never date a man who was bisexual. I don't care where your tests comes from.

"I worry about my health. I have a conscience on me."

From Zbone's Pomona Reviews of The Strip Joint:

The first thing I noticed was how laid back this club is. No waitress came running over to sell me drinks. Moreover, the DJ would talk and joke with the dancers on stage over the mic, and one of the dancers did head-stands on the counter. What all this adds up to is a very friendly environment, the way Mom & Pop strip clubs used to be in the good 'ole days, before the chains and lap factories.

The owner admitted to me that they were big fans of TJ's and so they decided to copy their $10 lap dance pricing structure (dancer keeps all). Again, for a nude club, this is very unusual these days. The dancer doesn't have to worry about the floater miscounting or crawling down her throat. To enter the VIP room requires a purchase of 5 minimum dances at $75 (dancer keeps $50) and is topless. Of course, for the regular $10 dances, the dancer keeps her bikini on and don't expect crazy mileage that you get for $40 per song at some other clubs. What you do get is a good grind at a good price.
