I've run into the nude models at parties. She's usually in the company of former LFP Video guy David Gorman. By age 12, she wanted to be a model. "I used to read a lot of fashion magazines like Vogue or Elle or Seventeen. "I wasn't tall enough [she's 5'4], so I knew that fashion was out of the question. "I was going to Boise State University. There was a photographer looking to create a portfolio. He paid $25 an hour. We experimented and learned together. "After college [she did not graduate], I kept doing it part-time along with a regular job. I moved to Portland, Oregon, and modeled part-time. Another model in the area suggested that I start a website. I put my own site together with her webmaster in August of 2002 and from there I started getting a lot of inquiries. "I moved to LA in October 2003 and have been working fulltime as a model ever since." What do you want to do when you stop modeling? Nikita: "I've thought about getting into real estate. I have a lot of friends who are older, in their mid-30s, and married with kids, and they're still modeling. I should be able to do it for quite a while." What do you like and dislike about modeling? "I like the easy money. It's quick. It's easy work. A lot of it is fun. "What I don't like about modeling is that there are a lot of shady people I have to deal with and a lot of bulls--- that I have to weed through. Emails that I get, I have to check people out and make sure they're legit. "I get emails, 'Oh, you do bondage, can I tie you up and we can have some fun?' No, that's not exactly what happens in a photo shoot." Nikita says she's never had plastic surgery. Duke: "How has your family reacted to your website?" Nikita: "I'm not broadcasting my website to them. I'm just not going to bring it up. Some people in my family have found it. "I don't do porn. I've worked for Playboy TV. I tell my family that. That I go to the Playboy mansion." The majority of Nikita's friends in LA are models. Duke: "Are there any common personality characteristics of the mdoels you know?" Nikita: "Ambitious. Always looking for work."
