From HollywoodMafia.com:
He has been locked away for 13 years for [murder]. He claims
that the FBI set him up and they knew where he was when Jimmy
Sinatra was killed.
Marty was New Jersey Luchese Family Capo Tumac's brother in law
so he had power. Tumac was really a boss because the whole New
Jersey faction of the Luchese Family was run on its own. They
kicked in only ten thousand a year until Gaspipe Casso decided
he needed more. I have read that Vic and Gaspipe met with Tumac
in Florida and it did not go well. They put out contracts on the
whole New Jersey crew. Well Tumac went to the FBI side and that
is history.
Marty had a porn business in the Valley and a vending company
with Ronnie
Rome. The LA Family wanted some of his business but when LA
Capo Louie Gelfuso inquired if he was doing anything. Marty gave
this answer: 'I am not doing anything.' That is not Louis's fault
because Shakes Milano should have sent word back to Tumac for
Marty to get out. Then Marty stood up to the LA Family guys when
they wanted to hurt Ronnie Rome. Ronnie had borrowed some money
and stolen some. They told him to get out of town. Ronnie was
asked to meet the Animal [Anthony Fiato] at a place up in hills
and he declined. Marty came back to Louie and said the other guy
(Tumac) wants you guys to lay off Ronnie he owes the Family money.
This Ronnie Rome has more than nine lives. Marty was also a hero
to LA Family Associate Jitters DiMattia. Joey Abananti was also
very close to him. Maybe when they indict Joey for murder conspiracy
some others will roll and we will see some more porn murders solved.
Until then maybe Marty will win his appeal....
From
my Mafia files:
In 1989, Teddy Snyder's VCR company owed thousands of dollars
to Martin Taccetta, named in court documents and by federal prosecutors
as an organized crime figure. Martin's older brother Michael ranks
high amongst members of the Lucchese crime family, an Assistant
District Attorney in Newark told the 8/20/89 LA Times. "Martin
was his right hand man who engaged in certain activities outside
of New Jersey."
Former VCR salesman Joseph Abinanti handled the payroll for one
of Taccetta's companies in Los Angeles. While under surveillance,
Taccetta met several times with Abinanti, whose "godfather," according
to law enforcement ranks near the top of the Luccheses.
On
October 8, 2004, I had lunch with Marty Turkel, Ed Kail and
Rob Spallone.
"How's Marty Taccetta?" I ask.
Turkel flips. He's been friends with Taccetta for 35 years. Marty
Turkel used to shoot loops in New York in the early '70s. There's
a good chance that Tacetta either funded that or had his hand in
the business somehow. Tacetta is now in prison for murder.
Kevin Beechum told me 6/28/01: "We used to do business with Marty
Taccetta. He's a good guy. He's in prison and I don't think he's
ever getting out. Like I said, they're all locked up. They're ain't
no more [Mafia]. Everybody's either dead or locked up."

Anthony
"Tumac" Accetturo (link)
was the man in the New Jersey faction of the Lucchese crime Family.
He was also Marty Taccetta's boss and now Marty is locked up and
Tumac is where? Tumac was worshipped by Jitters DiMattia when
he was on the streets. So Tumac had his hands in porn with Marty
and then he had a casino in one of the poorest countries in the
world. Haiti! Tumac teamed up with Baby Doc to further exploit
the population for his own gain. Tumac and his crew had a little
problem with a faction of another family that I cannot speak about
now.. He lost two guys in a ditch in New Jersey. Tumac visited
California and sat down with Mike Rizzitello and the Animal [Anthony
Fiato] in Studio City.
Reputed
Mobster Martin Taccetta Goes Home
Reputed mobster Martin Taccetta's first act as a free man yesterday
was to hug his wife, hug his mother and then accept a cigar and
some clementines from his brother-in-law -- just a few of the
things he didn't have while in state prison since 1993.
It was 4 p.m. when the 54-year-old Taccetta, sporting a broad
smile, walked out the front door of the Ocean County Justice Complex
in Toms River -- a day after a Superior Court judge ordered a
new trial on his 1993 conviction on racketeering charges and life
sentence.
...Taccetta, brother of imprisoned Lucchese boss Michael Taccetta,
said he was looking forward to eating the clementines Abdy gave
him as he walked out of prison.
The case involved allegations that Taccetta and fellow Lucchese
crime family figures initiated the golf-club beating death of
an Ocean County businessman to intimidate the victim's nephews
into sharing profits from a Jersey Shore boardwalk arcade operation
with them.
Taccetta always denied any involvement in the murder, and was
acquitted of the killing at a trial in Toms River more than a
dozen years ago. But the same jury convicted him of being part
of an overall racketeering scheme.
...Taccetta
was one of five Lucchese family members tried on charges of
racketeering, extortion and murder in the 1984 killing of Vincent
"Jimmy Sinatra" Craparotta, an Ocean County businessman and reputed
underworld associate who was beaten to death by several golf-club
wielding men in his Dover Township auto dealership.
