(AP) HACKENSACK, NJ — Police charge a former porn star has found a new way to make money – stealing it.

Joy Marquart was known as Farrah when she starred in dozens of porno films during the 1990's, with titles like "Farrah's Deceptive Desires."

According to authorities in northern New Jersey, Marquart used her good looks and fake IDs to empty bank accounts.

Investigators say she took more than $40,000 from several North Jersey banks before being busted this week. Detectives say they're now looking for her accomplices. She's being held on more than $100,000 bail.

From the New York Post:

The bodacious blonde had successfully fooled tellers at other banks, in Emerson, Fair Lawn, Hackensack, Oradell, Ridgewood and Westwood in recent months, said Emerson Police Detective Sgt. George Buono. Each haul netted $6,000 to $7,500, he said.

But investigators believe the top-heavy tart was merely a gorgeous face fronting for a Big Apple-based identity-theft ring that recruited attractive, white, suburban-looking women to rip off bank accounts.

Marquart began her rise in the porn world about a decade ago, when she moved from her hometown of Fort Wayne, Ind., to Florida, where she became a stripper. About a year later, she arrived in America's porn Mecca — California's San Fernando Valley — and began appearing in adult films like "To Uranus and Back" and "Vincent Van Blow." Her passionate and vocal performances quickly garnered a rabid following. She ultimately made about 50 films before dropping out of the scene in 2003.

A few months ago, she moved to The Bronx to see friends and look for work, said her mother, Martha Rose Shaw. Shaw said her daughter's sultry good looks had gotten her in trouble in the past.

"She always kind of depended on her looks to get her where she wanted be," Shaw told The Record newspaper. "There were plenty of people who preyed on that."

Farrah: "What is the purpose of your phone call?"

Luke: "I'd like to get something I can use on my website."

Farrah: "You want something for you. I want something for me first. What can you do for me? I just had to post bail for a lot of money and pay my lawyer. I need another way to make money. Do you need a secretary? Give me something. I need something legal to do with myself.

"I'm just joking with you but if you can do something for me, that's cool. What do you want to know?"

Luke: "Anything you can give me."

Farrah: "Like what? You're usually the one with the questions. What did you hear about?"

Luke: "I read in the newspaper what everyone else did."

Farrah: "What was that?"

Luke: "That you were part of a scheme going around to banks and that the police charged you with stealing thousands of dollars from banks?"

Farrah: "Did they show pictures?"

Luke: "Not of you in the banks."

Farrah: "The news here had pictures of me in the banks. Not that I'm admitting anything but obviously something. So until you get the pictures or the news, I have no comment."

Luke: "What about the rest of your life?"

Farrah: "That doesn't matter because nobody else gives a f--- about me. All of a sudden, because the news said that I was doing something, all of a sudden people want to call me. Otherwise, nobody else gave a s--- about me."

Luke: "I called you six months ago."

Farrah: "Nobody gives a s--- about me. Kevin Beechum. Vivid. Nobody gives a s--- about anybody until they can get something out of it. They're still making money off of me by their compilations. All of a sudden, just because I got a little publicity, they want to start adding comments. They should've said no comment. They had no business on commenting on anything. Nobody thought to call me on Christmas or on my birthday and say 'Hey, happy birthday. Merry Christmas. Happy new year. Do you need anything? How are you feeling? I'm still compilating your ass.' Everybody needs a little help here and there.

"Everybody knows what I do. Everybody knows that I'm crazy.

"I've been dealing with so many reporters. It's crazy. Howard Stern has already called. I already figured that you would be the first that I would say anything to. You've been very nice.

"I'm in the park right now [in New Jersey]. Just relaxing."

Luke: "I've read all the stories that have been written."

Farrah: "They made me sound like a good bandit."

Luke: "They made you sound like a classy bandit. That you looked good."

Farrah: "That I was a classy all-American good-for-the-job bandit. Porno star gone whatever."

Luke: "Bodacious blonde."

Farrah: "They were nice about it."

Luke: "Someone might make a movie about this."

Farrah: "I've been asked to do a movie. I have a meeting tomorrow. They're going to meet me in Manhattan. They're investors. I already made an attempt to call Kevin Beechum. Of course he knows because he tried to get his own publicity by opening his mouth. He had no business telling anybody nothing. Me and him, we have no business together. Do you think he gives confessions to anybody else? He ain't confessing to anything else, but he sure wants to confess to my bulls---. Good or bad. I don't care what he said about me.

"You need to be calling me on my birthday, on Christmas, on New Year's, on something, saying, hey, how's my ex-contract girl? He doesn't give a f--- about anybody, period. All of a sudden, he wants to quote something when he gets something out of it. He could've gotten something out of calling me up on my birthday and saying, happy birthday. I got locked up on my birthday. He doesn't care. He doesn't care. He doesn't care until he hears something he wants to hear.

"The only person from the [porn] industry who has stayed in touch with me is Olivia, and everybody thinks that she's f---ed up too.

"This whole industry is cliques. It's little men behind a big desk that's running them. You can not find a porn star no longer. They don't make stars no longer. I was privileged. I will not say it was because of Chuck [Martino]. I will not say it was because of Kevin [Beechum]. I was in that generation of porn-star-time.

"Otherwise, and I don't want to use 'Jew' as a bad name, but everyone's Jew. Jew know? Everybody's out to make some f---ing ridiculous money.

"Porn stars should be a union. Porn stars should get residuals. I don't get nothing for anything I did let alone a birthday call or a Christmas call. I get nothing out of this industry. Just like Brooke Ashley, the girl that got HIV-positive. Or anybody else who was HIV-positive. They don't get nothing. They're nobody anymore. They're not making money. But everybody else is making money off of Brooke Ashley's gangbang where she got HIV-positive. This girl needs some money, just like I do. I was in jail for seven days. It doesn't matter what I did. But nobody worried about me. Nobody cared about me.

"Everybody in this industry is doing something illegal. No matter what I did, nobody was worried about me.

"It's been three years since I've given them [Kevin Beechum, Vivid etc] any fame. Just like they haven't given me a phone call.

"Even now, I was thinking about making a movie out of this. I've had somebody want to do a book on me. I've talked to Kevin about making a movie, and he said, 'That was in New York. It wasn't here.'

"When I found out Kevin gave a comment to the New York Post and the [New Jersey] Record, I called him up. 'Kevin, you're the only person I really trust in the movie business.' Because he is. Kevin did something for me.

"Kevin acted like my idea of making a movie was stupid.

"It's ridiculous. I just want to make some money. I think I can off of this.

"You saw Worldpornsearchcontestant.com. They're still going forward with that. Everything I do is there. I'm guilty of doing what I did. I did do it. I'm on all kinds of videos now. I'm a multi-video queen.

"I called Kevin and asked him if I could get some of my DVDs. He said, 'We are not printing them no longer. You have to buy the master. You have to do this and that.' I said, 'You've got to be kidding me. Every hit off of all these websites that he owns to purchase a movie, he's not providing any of it?

"Everybody in the police office got a mug shot signature from me. I know they've got my movies. I want to know where them movies are being purchased from. Obviously Kevin Beech. He has to have a master.

"I asked Kevin first, do I owe you any money? He goes, I threw them books away a long time ago. I said, ok, I need some of my DVDs.

"I need to get some money. That is what I'm saying.

"I'm fine. I feel great. I'm out. I'm free. But I need to make some money. And the first person I called was Kevin Beechum. Because I trusted him.

"I'm sitting in the park enjoying myself. I've got a tan. I got a little burnt."

Luke: "Anyone in the industry offer to help you?"

Farrah: "No. The only person who ever had any concern about me was Olivia. The both of us have had our faults. Everybody has written about it. She was the only person who called me. And somebody from Sin City just emailed me and said, listen, keep your head up.

"My bail was $105,000. And I'm walking right now and I'm happy but I need some help.

"I have a lot of things going good for me. I have a lot of girls who want to be talent. I've been trying to get a hold of Mr. Marcus. I have black girls, white girls, Hispanic girls and I have black guys."

Six months ago, Farrah put me on the phone with Joe Salpietro (from New Jersey), the man behind this site. This is his first porn venture. Worldpornsearchcontestant.com is down.

Farrah tells me today: "I've raised a lot of money for [Worldpornsearchcontestant.com.] He's in South Miami now. They're doing well. There's no reason for that site to be down.

"Granted, I am guilty. I am not blaming the industry for any of this. Everybody in the industry knew that I was crazy. Just like everybody knew I was crazy before I got into the industry. Everybody figured that I'd get into something like that. Everybody in the industry who knows me would figure that I'd do something like what I did. But right now I need to make the best out of it.

"I have changed. I don't do any drugs or any of that s---. I'm really good right now. I have to be. I've made a lot of money for a lot of people in LA. There's no reason why nobody is cooperating with me."

Luke: "Do you think you might make a movie again?"

Farrah: "I'll make a movie. I just have to figure out someone to do it with. Kevin Beech is obviously not on my list. I'll be talking with Leisure Time soon. I need to do something. I can't rob no more banks."

Luke: "But you're in good health."

Farrah: "I'm in great health. I'm in perfect health. I look good. I still look the same. I'm still crazy. I'm still the cheerful face that I've always been. Maybe a little more criminal. But like I said, this industry is criminal. This porno industry is nothing but criminals. Crooks. People doing stupid s---. So this is no surprise for me doing this. Everybody's doing it in a fraud way or some stupid way. Prostitution is illegal.

"The only thing I've got to say is that it would be nice if it were mi casa, su casa in this industry. I've got a story to tell. I've got a movie to make. I'm going to be on Howard Stern. I need somebody to help me out. I've got girls. I've got guys. I've got a lot of things to go forward. I just need to pay my lawyer."

I called Farrah's ex-boyfriend Joseph Elkind. He said: "That poor girl. This industry just ruins people. It really does. The drugs. The alcohol. I stay so far away from that."

Luke: "I think that she felt that the industry had ripped her off, therefore she could do it to others."

Joe: "Right. She made some bad decisions and got involved with some bad guys. That was just stupid."

Luke: "When did you last hear from her?"

Joe: "About five months ago. She called me. She said she was doing all right."

Former porn star pleads guilty to theft charges

Chuck Martino discovered tall blonde stripper Farrah (Joy Marquart) at the club Mons Venus in Tampa, Florida in 1996. She recognized him from his movies.

He brought her into porno and had a tempestuous relationship with her. After leaving Chuck, Farrah had an affair with pornographer Kevin Beechum, who was married at the time.

After that, Farrah went on to a relationship with male performer Christian Steele and a six month fling with Joseph Elkind of Cyber Entertainment Network. She's appeared in numerous strip clubs around American and in about 100 porn films.

Kevin Beechum tells Luke 7/23/98:

"I only have two contract girls (Farrah and Angelica Sinn) right now. We took back Farrah, who has drug problems. She was my girlfriend two years ago but I haven't f---ed her in two years… We're trying to get her straightened out…

"Chuck Martino is a good friend of mine. He's off the drugs and has gone straight. He's got a cute little girlfriend Shay Sweet. He looks great."

Kevin Beechum tells Luke 6/28/01

Luke: "I hear that Farrah owes you six movies?"

Kevin: "Here bro, I'll give you an answer that you can print. She calls me, dude, and I never return her calls. If she catches me when I answer the phone, that's how she talks to me. To fulfill her contract, she owes us seven pictures which equals $14,000. I'd rather have her pay me the $14,000 or have somebody buy me out of her because she's not going to shoot another movie for anybody until she fulfills this f---ing contract. She's never fulfilled one since we helped her ass out when Chuck used to beat the s--- out of her when we first got her.

"Also, this girl's a whacko case. And if she thinks she's going to make a comeback, good luck."

Luke: "Are you interested in having her make those seven movies for you?"

Kevin: "I'd rather have the money bro. But if I can't get the money, I'll stick the bitch in the f---ing movies to get my money back. I made her a deal before but she never sticks to one of her deals. I made her a deal that she could shoot one movie for me and one movie for someone else on a monthly basis. That only lasted one month. And she disappeared. She's never fulfilled one deal she's ever done. All I've done is help that chick and she's never done anything for this company.

"We made a deal with her back when she did the Vivid contract. And f---ing didn't even know what she read or did. And she f---ing thought she was a big shot because I wouldn't resign her. Then she went and did it with Vivid. And a month later she comes in here bawling. She doesn't want to work for anybody but us. So I read the contract and called Stevie up and he said, 'Just pay me back the couple gran advancement and you can have her.'

"Fine. I took her back and made her a deal with all the money she owed me. And made a new 12 picture contract with her for $24,000. She owed for previous loans, borrowing, cars, bulls---, dadadadadadada. She's never fulfilled one of those deals. She did five movies. She owes us seven."

Luke: "How well do her movies sell?"

Kevin: "They suck. Yeah dude, the only reason that people liked her is that she used to be cute. And that's when we got her, when she was young and cute and she didn't have an attitude. She's been kicked out of every dance club in America, dude. She f---ed every club there was."

Luke suspects this is a gross overstatement.

Kevin: "We had her getting high money [for stripping]. She screws up everything she does."

Luke: "I thought she was your girlfriend?"

Kevin: "Well, I used to f--- her two years ago, when she first came out here, when Chuck brought her here for six months."

Luke says: I talked to Farrah by phone early Tuesday afternoon.

Farrah: "I called Kevin [Beechum] and left him a message about his comments. Kevin has done a lot for me. He's always helped me out when I needed it. And I've helped him. I agreed to give him six free movies to pay him back. But it got to a point where I got tired of the business. I got tired of everybody's bulls---. The rumors, and ex's [boyfriends]. I've got plenty of ex's. Kevin is one of them. I just didn't need it no more. So I moved.

"I don't think it is fair of Kevin to call me a bitch and write stuff like that, saying my movies didn't sell. He's compilating my movies like Sunshine Video did. So he can't tell me that he's not making no money and that nothing was good. I go to video stores and people know me.

"I thought it was immature of him to call me a bitch. And to say that I haven't completed my contracts. I've completed at least three contracts [with him]. He gave me wonderful boxcovers but he wouldn't have had wonderful boxcovers if it wasn't for me on the front of it. He put forth money and I put forth effort. I don't see where the problem was for him to literally call me a bitch. And that's what he did.

"I never call him an asshole. I'm sure I have, when me and him were arguing. Once me and him stopped f---ing, all my s--- went downhill. Literally."

Luke: "Why did you leave the industry?"

Farrah: "Because of all the gossip. I've got too many ex's. I've done a 100 movies. How much further do I need to go? I've established for myself a name which KBeech Video has helped me do and Chuck Martino helped me do. They can't take the total credit for it. I did it. I got raked through the business. I went through the s---. I took the s---. And I established a name and I see no further reason to keep f---ing [on video]."

Luke: "I thought you were going to come back to doing videos."

Farrah: "I was going to do that until this [Kevin's remarks] came up. I would've loved to have made movies with VCA, Metro and people like that. I already did Vivid. There's a lot of other stuff in the industry that I could be doing with other companies. I know I owe Kevin six movies. I just didn't think his comments were appropriate. So why should I kiss his ass?"

Luke: "When did you start in the industry?"

Farrah: "It was 1996. I was dancing at Mons Venus in Tampa. He came up to me and said, 'What are you doing rubbing dick? You could be a star.' I was like, 'Ok.' I recognized him. Everybody knows what happened between us. Just look at his patterns of ex-girlfriends. Then I met Kevin and Kevin helped me out and he's been helping me out since. I just can't see why he can't give me no credit."

Luke: "This is a brutal industry."

Farrah: "Besides I'm not f---ing him anymore. It is a brutal industry. I think I did it well. I had people who helped me do it well. I also think I got f---ed in between. I can contradict between liking somebody and not liking somebody. Saying that somebody helped me and yet... That's why I just chose to walk away from it. I have not done a movie in at least a year. Not because Kevin pissed me off.

"I appreciate Kevin letting me walk away from it. He was the one who got me out of the business for the eight months we were dating. He knew I didn't like it. And he didn't like his girlfriend or his mistress doing it. Except girl-girl. And it even took a while for me to do that. But I do not appreciate him talking s--- like that. There's no reason."

Luke: "Did you have a drug problem at one time? Are you willing to talk about that?"

Farrah: "I think everybody's had some kinda problem whether it's being with assholes, or a drug problem, or a low self esteem problem. I won't say I had a drug problem. I'm sure Kevin has made his statements on that. When I was with Chuck Martino, I never did one drug. I did not do drugs. Once me and Chuck split up, Kevin was the one I partied with. So if he wants to get down to nitty gritty stuff, I started partying hard with him. It wasn't Chuck, it was with him.

"Going to Vegas, going here, going there. And I had a great time. But once we weren't f---ing anymore, next thing you know, I'm a druggie. I'm this and that. I'm not saying that I don't do drugs. I drink. I smoke pot. At one time, when I was depressed, I, I don't know, I went on a, uhh, I won't say a binge or nothing. I was just depressed. You know, I had just had the s--- beat out of me. Then I had a married man, which I was dumb enough to be with, turn around and say, 'Hey, we've got to stop everything right now.' And still remain business partners. After we've been telling each other we love each other.

"I went through a depression and an abortion. It's no reason to go get totally f---ed up but you know, you learn. I was happy being f---ed up at the time. Sometimes being f---ed up, I don't know, it helps. You end up hitting rock bottom and realize it. At least I did. I'm glad I did."

Luke: "It is difficult to sustain relationships in this industry."

Farrah: "It's very difficult especially with a married man and a wife beater. And then there was Christian Steele, a suitcase pimp. I got tired of all of it. I got tired of going on sets and knowing I was getting paid for the six movies I had already done. And getting a s---ty boxcover at the same time. My boxcovers turned out to be gonzo boxes.

"He'll tell you, 'Oh, her stuff wasn't selling.' You can ask anybody in that office, my stuff did sell. I asked the people in the shipping room. He [Kevin] would give me a complex. 'Oh, it doesn't sell. You need to f--- more guys. You need to do this or that.' And I would ask people in the shipping room and the good people who work for him, and sell my movies. And they tell me that they sell. So I don't know what kind of mindf--- he was trying to pull.

"He's a great guy but he's an ex."

Luke: "Why do you think you've chosen the men you've chosen?"

Farrah: "I like bad guys. The man I'm with now, which is a great great man. I love him to death. We've been together six months. We met in Miami. I've been staying here in New York eversince I met him. It's just that bad boy thing. It's the look. It's the attitude. With confidence and with financially and everything behind it. And it's become a pattern. And hopefully one of these patterns is going to give me somebody good. I hope this one is.

"It's great. He's got a wonderful family. Everyone accepts me and my big tits. No questioning of what I've done and nothing."

Luke: "Do you regret getting into this industry?"

Farrah: "I do not regret anything I do. I learn from what I do but I don't regret dating a married man... It's just all learning experiences. It's got to get better."

Luke: "Where do you think you are going from here in the adult industry?"

Farrah: "As long as Kevin's got his thing... It's not that I want an apology. I just don't need. I mean, calling me a bitch, how immature is that? I could just see him behind his desk, 'Bro this' and 'Bro that.' 'She's this. She's that.' With people walking in and out of his office for him to impress. He's helped me so many times but every time he's helped me, I've always paid him back. I've always given him his money back. I don't owe him nothing but six free movies.

"When my last contract was up, I told him, 'I want to go shoot movies with other people and let our contract finish.' I even spoke to a lawyer and he said, 'You can get out of this. Nobody can make you f--- in the first place.'

"I'm sure one day I will do another one. When I went to Los Angeles recently, people wanted me to do a movie. I told them my price and that I wanted the boxcover. And they were more than happy to give it to me. I'm not fresh but I'm fresh in other people's movies. So I was thinking about that until I heard this bulls--- [from Kevin Beechum]. Why should I give something to someone who doesn't appreciate what I've already done?

"Chuck [Martino] thinks that Olivia and I broke into his house. Because he had all my stuff. We went over there and knocked on the door. Can you picture me and Olivia breaking into someone's home? If you hear from him, I didn't do it.

"I went back to school. I studied communications and public relations. At a community college."

How many classes did you take?

"Does it matter?" she laughs. "I took six months. I learned. Then I bartended. I babysitted five children [aged 3-11]. Babysat, excuse me. They weren't mine. No little Chuckies [Martino] running around."

Did your classmates recognize you from porn?

"Yeah. The worst thing about it was when I babysat. The fights over it. Everything went well but it was more of a jealousy thing with the wife."

How old were the boys?

"Listen to you. You're getting perverted."

I just wondered if they were interested in you in that way.

"I know they did. I'm not going to say anything. I look at my own breasts. Quit being perverted. Stop being Max Hardcore.

"Why did you leave the industry?"

I didn't want anything more to do with it.

"You walked away. So did I, hon. That's exactly what I did. It disgusted me. People disgusted me. I didn't find anything nice about it. Aside from what you had to say. Then there was contradiction. Chuck and Kevin talking s--- about me. They say in the industry that any PR is good PR, but f--- you. I'm glad for the good PR right now. That's why I sold myself out.

You haven't stayed in touch with Gina Ryder?

"No. I don't like anybody within the industry. Olivia is my best friend. I haven't associated with her. You can call her for her own story. She's going through s---. She left the industry when I did. She's my best friend."

"The last person who got me my boob job [in 2000] was Mark Carriere. I needed big boobs. My first one was in 1989 [at age 19 in Tampa, Florida].

"I still advertise myself. I don't go through BodyMiracle or any agency. I don't need a pimp. I have a real job bartending.

"I'm going to have my own kid. I do want to settle down but it doesn't look like it is going to happen that way. But it's ok. I won't blame anybody else. I've been spending my whole industry time blaming everybody else and pointing the finger at everybody else because I had a reason to. How many abortions have I been through? How many times did I get my ass whipped?"

Farrah repeats throughout our interview that she will be f---ing the rest of her life and that she loves sex. "I'll do the first girl-girl scene with the girl that gets nominated. There will be a star doing a star.

"That's probably why I didn't do gangbangs. Because I want a family some day. I don't want my kids coming up to me and saying, you did 500 and what? I've been known to do girl-girl and the boy-girl was with Christian, Marc Davis and Chuck Martino. I've done it in a way that I know I'm going to have a family one day.

"There are a lot of people that I really love in the industry -- Jasmine [St Clair], Houston, Billy Glide. I love you."

"I'm 32. I'm ready. I will still look good afterwards."

Are you good at screening [potential clients]?

"I do everything myself. I went through all the agencies and I won't go through them again because they don't know how to deal with me, because I'm a bitch. You know that, Luke. Everybody says that. But I'm actually a nice person."

I know that.

"Good answer. It takes one to know one. Just like you walked away. So did I.

"I established Farrah. No matter how f---ed up I was or not."

I'm afraid you would eat me alive.

"I'm not that bad. I just drink."

You describe the industry as brutal, yet you are bringing all these girls in.

"I say, put yourself into it for as long as I did. Then you have a reason to bitch about it. I would love to get back in the industry, but on my own terms."
