Devon signs her slick to "The Animal" Anthony Fiato.

Blonde porn star Devon, born in 1976 and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, became porn's best selling actress in the year 2000 (along with Jenna Jameson).

In the year 2000, Vivid Video spent more money promoting Devon than all their other girls put together. But the two went their separate ways in January, 2001.

Entertainment Tonight, February 8, 1999

Cue tape:

Host: They are women who wanted to make it big in Hollywood. And they did. They are among the most popular new stars in porn. Now they talk about their fame and fortunes and their very different hopes for the future in our Entertainment Tonight cover story.

Narrator: Devon found her way here from Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Devon: "I was a little nervous. I didn't know what to expect."

N: Shyla [Foxxx] came from Chicago.

Shyla Foxxx: "I never thought I would be here but I have to say that I wouldn't trade it for the world."

N: Coral [Sands] was a country girl from Alabama.

Coral: "What if my friends find out? What if my family finds out?"

N: Today these three women are among the hottest stars in adult video.

C: "I completely acknowledge the fact that what I do is not so normal."

Luke F-rd: "Why do women perform sex on film? Money."

N: Luke F-rd is the author of "A History of X", a new book on the industry. He says top actresses can make over $100,000 a year and lots more from strip clubs.

Luke: "There are probably two or three who are making over $500,000 a year. There are probably a dozen or more porn stars clearing $200,000 a year."

Shyla: "I can't believe that I can have such a great income and have so much fun."

N: But all that fun and money comes with a price. Despite precautions, there is the threat of AIDS.

Coral: "It only takes one time. It's a scary issue."

N: Family and friends might not be so enthusiastic about your new job."

Devon: "Some of them are cool and some of them didn't want to hang out with me and be my friend anymore. I guess I could expect that."

Coral: "So many people can't possibly imagine that this is ok."

Luke: "It's a very tough business. It really grinds people down."

N: Shyla, who's in college studying criminal justice, plans to quit in a year or two."

Shyla: "My goal is to be the best criminal attorney out there. But besides that, I'd like to be a judge some day."

N: Coral wants to be a singer and settle in the mountains in Tennessee.

Coral: "Every other thing I'm doing is working for one thing and one thing only - buy my way out of LA."

N: They may go but new ones are certain to replace them. And bring with them, big dreams.

Devon: "I want to be the biggest porn actress. I want to be the biggest star."

N: Luke F-rd's book "A History of X: 100 Years Of Sex In Film" will be in stores in March.

Vivid Girl Devon Kicked From Helmetcam Show

Vivid girl Devon and Raylene showed up high for Playboy TV's Helmetcam Show (with Gary Gray) last week. Raylene stayed in control and cruised through the show. Devon was out of control. She whispered audibly into Helmetcam's ear about drugs. Playboy reacted quickly by taking her off the live show.

Afterward the show, I heard there was an ugly tearful scene in the parking lot as Devon complained about her treatment by Playboy.

Playboy's repeating the show with the graphic "Porn Stars At Their Best."

Both girls were hammered out of their minds, according to sources though Raylene kept her cool.

I hear that Taylor Hayes has retired from porn.

I talked to Raylene around noon.

Luke: "I heard that you guys were drunk and that Devon got kicked off the Helmetcam Show because of drugs?"

Raylene: "No. Devon just had to get up to get a glass of water. And she didn't come back. We were not drunk. We were stoned. We smoked a lot of pot. She just can't handle her pot sometimes.

"The show went good. I was bummed that it was the last three episodes of it.

"I just re-signed with Vivid. You need to update my profile. I have a new boyfriend. I'm not dating that guy from Colorado. I now have a boyfriend. His name is Frank and he plays bass guitar in a band called "Slaves On Dope." He's leaving in two days for Oz Fest [a rock music festival organized by Ozzy Osbourne]. I'm doing the guitar player's hair right now as we speak. They'll be on the road for two months.

"Frank and I have been together for four months. I've been staying away from the business, getting my website done. www.raylenexxx.com. Nakita Kash's husband Kevin is doing it.

"Vivid has a whole bunch of new girls. One of them is my ex-roommate Cassidy, 19."

Raylene: "I'm on a sober kick right now. All I've been doing is smoking pot and I'm slowing that down. I'm in the process of buying a house. I want to retire from this business next year. I'm 23. I'm dancing on the road (through the Lee Network) three weeks of the month, working hard, saving my money.

"I'm staying out of the action and get off my drinking kick and get more sober and get my head on straight. It's working. I have two new dogs. I don't talk to Alec [Metro] anymore. And I don't need to. He's a f---ing loser. You can put that in big fat bold print.

"I'm sitting here doing braids with Chandler. Except that she's not Chandler anymore. She's getting married to the former Kid Sparkle. She's got a big fat $22,000 rock on her finger.

"Kid Sparkle is producing his own stuff, through his own company, Nymph Pictures. He's doing boxcovers for people."

Luke, In the July 2000 issue of WOW wrestling magazine they do an interview with Jasmin. She talks about wanting to become a legit wrestler instead of eye candy. No mention of her porn career. I guess she is above this work now.

BTW, can I get a copy of the Playboy TV episode where Devon and Raylene are stoned. The story sounds really funny, I would love to see it. Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks.

Luke: It plays on the Playboy TV.

I talked to Gary Gray aka Helmetcam Man.

Gary: "That's about it for the Helmetcam Show on Playboy TV. Just two more episodes. They unceremoniously cancelled my show. I found out by looking at the September schedule and found out I wasn't on it."

Luke: "Gary, how does it feel?"

Gary: "Strange but good. It's probably time to do something else."

Luke: "Tell me about your last show with Raylene and Devon."

Gary: "An interesting show. In my book, it was one of the best shows in years. It was fun and crazy and everything I could want on a show. Raylene was a pro and whatever was up with Devon is news to me. At one point she said, 'f--- with me and I will kick your ass.' A great quote that was on the show. Then we went to a clip and she was not seen again."

Luke: "And what had you done to provoke this outburst?"

Gary: "I was just my usual sarcastic self making fun of her about something she said... I don't know. I will have to watch back the tape to see exactly what I said to get that little soundbite. But she turns and grabs me and looks me very close in the face and says, 'You know what? f--- with me and I will kick your ass.' I said, Oh God. Seventy eight shows and it is the first time I've been afraid on the air. And she's like, 'You better be afraid.'"

Luke: "Have you taken out private security protection?"

Gary: "I think I am going to be ok. I'm winging it. I'm laying low."

Luke: "How are you sleeping at night?"

Gary: "Alone. I don't sleep."

Luke: "Did these girls seem under the influence of certain substances?"

Gary: "Raylene seemed fine and Devon, I don't know... She was certainly animated. I don't know her well enough to know if she was on something... The evidence of the show suggests either exceptionally high energy or something else.

"It was a very strange show. Devon got in a fight with my production manager beforehand over... I don't know if she had him confused for someone else because he's the nicest, most docile guy. She started ripping into him. 'You're an asshole. You're a cocksucker. You suck dick.' And this poor guy is going, what are you talking about? I don't even know you."

Luke: "Does he suck dick?"

Gary: "Not that I know of. I've seen him with a lot of girlfriends..."

Luke: "I heard there were tears and anger in the parking lot afterward?"

Gary: "I was not present because I was too busy fighting with assorted Playboy people... We'll see if Playboy has anything for me to do in the future. Someone said that mainstream TV exists out there. But I'm less familiar with that but apparently they have big networks..."

Luke: "What's your regular day job?"

Gary: "Ended. I was in charge of launch operations for Playboy TV's foreign networks, dealing with language dubbing and today was my first day out of the office in four-and-a-half years.

"The day job was a consulting job that was supposed to be a two-week job that ran for 200 weeks because everyone liked having me around and I was good at what I did. And then they made it a staff job with a salary a fraction of what I would want to stay there.

"As far as the show getting cancelled, there's been a change in regime there. They felt that my show was not part of the big picture anymore. It's more of a lifestyle channel, E! Hot."

Luke: Playboy CEO Christie Hefner has told the channel to soften up. The guy in charge of the network now used to run its movie division, Dick Rosetti. Jim English, who made the network profitable, has been removed. Sex Court, Naughty Amateur Home Videos, Strip Search etc are probably no longer part of the big picture. Night Calls remains in tact. The Helmetcam Show was viewed as all about porn stars, which supposedly is a small niche market that Playboy does not need to cater to.

Porn girls earn about $500 to appear on shows like Sex Court. Staff producers make less than $1000 a week.

Brent writes: Raylene claims she's on a sober kick. That she's trying to get her head on straight. Then she goes on to say that she's smoking pot, but she's slowing that down...ummm...huh? Smoking pot but not drinking doesn't make one sober.

I have to wonder about the psyches of some of these women. ...ones like Wildcat (nee Cheyenne Silver), Azlea Antistia, Aspen Brock (she's been covered though). These are women who could have very successful legit modeling careers (is there any truth to the Azlea being a former Guess? girl rumors?), but instead choose to f--- on camera, pretty much eliminating their chances of legit work, at least for quite some time. What is going on behind this? Childhood physical, emotional or sexual abuse? A voracious hunger for the approval of males? When I heard and later saw Nico Treasures on Howard Stern's show, she stated that a gang rape when she was a teenager screwed her up. Could a traumatic sexual event be responsible for this behavior in some of these women?

Devon - 'Vivid Raped Me!'

Ex-Vivid girl Devon tells Gene Ross: "I feel that I was disrespected a lot by Steven Hirsch personally. I feel that the company looks at girls as numbers and not individually. I wasn't happy there any more. I don't get along with their boxcover photographer. He was very rude and disrespectful to myself and from what I've been hearing, a lot of the other girls as well. I brought this to Steven and he chose to do absolutely nothing about it. That was upsetting to me....

"I found out that they took power of attorney over my legal name, not the name Devon. Which means they can sign checks and completely rip me off behind my back. At this point I wouldn't put something like that past them. There's a few other things between myself and Steven--comments that should not have been made from him. I was in the hospital over the summer and and I had a serious medical procedure. A few weeks later my hospital bills started coming in and I had to ask Steven for an advance which isn't something uncommon for girls to ask him. When I asked and he knew that I had been in the hospital and recovering, he pressured me to do anal. I had never done anal for anyone. I don't do it in my personal life. That's just me. I don't have a problem with anyone who does it, it's that I choose not to. When I had asked Steven for the advance after this serious surgery. He said okay I'll give you your advance if you give me anal, now. I thought, morally, for someone to say something like that to one of their employees, that was very disrespectful and pretty disgusting, to be honest.

"I also found out that I was pretty much raped in my contract. I came out here when I was 21. I had done two gonzo tapes but I never had been to California. I thought Vivid was the best company and that their girls had made the most money. But when I signed my contract I was not advised to see an attorney. And now I come to find out that they really raped me in my contract. I've been told all the girls get the same contract. It just has a different number of years on it because now they're doing two and three year contracts. Which really sucks because some of the newer girls that I've become friends with, I don't want to see the same thing happen to them."

Read the full interview on Gene Ross. Devon's personal site is Devonxxx.com.

The Hessian writes: Tell Dimwit Devon to shut the hell up! Steve Hirsch and Vivid made her the minor star that she is today. Who put an $$$ marketing machine behind an absolute unknown bimbo? Vivid! Who paid for her surgical super-sized silicone sacks? Vivid! Who paid her 50 times what the average 21 year old makes? Vivid! Who stood behind her when she HUMILIATED herself by showing up STONED to the Playboy TV's Helmet Cam show last June? Vivid!

How on earth did she wind up in the hospital without insurance? How stupid is that? I know a man who lives in a garage apartment in Beverly Hills who at least has health insurance. Stupid! So she wants an advance? Fine. Hirsch wants to negotiate an anal scene which would set her apart from the boring Vivid Girl harem and make her a bigger star. But Devon is insulted. She already had a price tag on her mouth and her pussy. Who knew her that ass was verboten?

Listen up Dev dear. You will never have it as good as you DID at Vivid. What's ahead for you now is not only anal, but double anal, baby! And bukkakes! And gang bangs! And golden showers! And finally ... Ron "The Hedge HogJeremy. You blew it big time!

Note to Steve Hirsch - Learn from Extreme, buddy. There are no primadonnas there. Don't sign or resign any more contract whores until they taste a hot jet of piss on camera and can publicly gape their asses to the size of a goose egg!

Concerned writes: Hindsight shows that a rift was probably brewing between Devon and Vivid a few months back when she sent you that rather terse email on how www.vividvip.com (proud sponsor of l-keford.com) was not her official site. That had to piss off Steve Hirsch.

I went to the [AVN] award show and let me just say zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz boring! I did get to do some press but the show put me to sleep in fact I wish that the show was ran by the fans I think it would be alot better then. Girls would be winning who deserve it instead of the girls who won based on politics or who bought the most ad space in AVN.

Devon Gossip

3/12/01

Porn observer Jack says: Devon has a deal with Vivid Video through August where she is not even allowed to negotiate another contract until her current contract expires.

The rumor was that Devon signed with Jill Kelly Productions (JKP). JKP swore that they had never signed JKP. Jill Kelly called sales manager Howard Levine at Vivid to say that she respects the sanctity of contracts, including Devon's contract with Vivid.

Now Devon has done an interview with Danni Ashe of Danni.com, saying she's already in negotiations over a new contract. Danni.com speculates that it is Digital Playground and Jill Kelly Productions. Danni.com has the scoop here.

On her site Devonxxx.com, Devon said she left Vivid because they would not give her the chance to do any serious movie roles. But if you see Devon's latest movie "The Pin Up," you'll be able to know why. Devon's beautiful but she's no actress. There's never been a worse movie. The director should be shot.

Devon has a legitimate acting role in this movie. There's hardly any sex. But the movie is terrible. People who bought the movie are disappointed.

Luke says: I called Vivid sales manager Howard Levine and he said, "No comment." I asked him about Danni.com's Devon story and Howard said he didn't have time to read the gossip sites. Howard did say that it was nice to see me at the pool a few months ago, and he looks forward to seeing me again.

I hate it when I have to deal with professionals.

Peter says: Jenna Jameson posted to you about her deal with Vivid two days before it was official. Vivid freaked.

This guy who runs Jill Kelly Productions, Robert Friedland, is a mean nasty old man. He's a freak. Remember how Howard Levine supposedly beat some guy (Robert Friedland) up from Jill Kelly's booth. It was over Taylor Hayes. Robert had taken Taylor to dinner the night before.

Frank Feltrop writes: "Howard Levine need not worry about Robert Friedland and Taylor Hayes. He paid her for her "services" that night. Can someone please tell JKP to get some porn stars that actually enjoy or at least pretend to enjoy sex (other than Tabitha Stevens of course, she's the best thing JKP has going). I'd rather watch grass grow than watch Haven in a sex scene. Who made the call to give that girl a contract? They out to have their head examined."

If you go to JillKellyProductions.com, you had five names, including Devon. At the AVN Expo in January, Devon was JKP's fifth girl. She signed for JKP. But when Vivid's lawyers called Jill Kelly, the name Devon was removed but the page is still there. They won't smart enough to remove it:

From http://www.jillkellyproductions.com/devon.html

"I was born in Daytona Beach, FL on March 28th 1979. I started in adult films almost 2 years ago. I've been under an exclusive contract with Vivid Video ever since. I got my start though, as a stripper in a small town in Pennsylvania where I grew up. I worked at a club in Reading, PA called Al's Diamond Cabaret. While working there I met many of the big name adult stars who where coming through the club as feature entertainers. Eventually I started doing magazine layouts for Penthouse, Club and Club International to name a few...but I wanted more, so I decided to get into the adult business. I went straight to Vivid Video the best adult company in the business. The rest is history!"

Peter says: This backs up Danni Ashe's story that it is Jill Kelly Productions that Devon is in negotiations with.

Vivid Video will tell you that 4aday.com sells 90% of all of Devon's movies.

Technically, Devon can't act on camera anywhere until her contract expires in August. So even her web site is in violation because she goes on her own livecam. But Vivid does not plan to be that hard-assed about things. Vivid wants the Devon scandal to go away but Vivid's marketing department wants it to stay in the news because it sells her movies. Because right now, sales for her movies have plummeted. Her sales suck.

Until recently, it was back and forth who sold better - Devon or Jenna.

Devon looks very young. And that's what sells about her. Her innocence. But when it comes to acting, she doesn't portray anything other than innocence. In Pin Up, she tries to play confused and upset and can't pull it off.

Devon's a pleasurable sweet person. She's just one of those little girls that you want to protect.

Devon and Vivid need to get back together. Because Vivid markets her in the way she needs to be marketed. But as long as her boyfriend's around, that won't happen.

She was dating someone in the industry until a year ago...

Devon's boyfriend writes her Diary page on Devonxxx.com. He doesn't have a job except to work for her.

You understood Devon's medical surgery was an abortion?

Devon told GeneRossExtreme.com: "There's a few other things between myself and Steven [Hirsch]--comments that should not have been made from him. I thought, morally, for someone to say something like that to one of their employees, that was very disrespectful and pretty disgusting, to be honest."

Peter says: Devon told Hirsch that her abortion cost her $1500. Steve replied, 'Honey, I've been in this business for 20 years. I know how much an abortion costs. It's $500.' And she got pissed because she was busted on a lie.

"And about Steve insisting that she do anal. Steve was just kidding. Steve's a nice guy. He feels comfortable with the girls and they feel comfortable with him. She asked for money without saying why and he said, 'Yeah baby, do anal in the next movie and it is all yours.' It was joking. She said 'No, that's not in my contract.' Steve says, 'Whoa, calm down. I'm just kidding. What's going on?'

"So Devon breaks down and says she needs $1500 for a major surgery. Now Steve's married (?) to the sales woman at Video Team and he's about to become a father. Steve genuinely cares about the girls. So Steve, after the Leslie Glass thing, thinks Devon has cancer. And she says, 'Well, I'm pregnant. And I need to get an abortion. And it's $1500.' And if she had told the truth, that it's $500... He would've given her the money free and clear. But she asked for an advance.

"Devon's on the weekly payout plan. But since she lied about it and tried to scam him by fake crying, it pissed him off and he said 'No. You're under contract. You ask for weekly pay checks. That's what you'll get.'

"Two weeks before that, there was a major fight between Devon and Raylene over a Vivid on the set photographer who hit on Devon. Devon's boyfriend is possessive and took great exception to this photographer hitting on his girl. Devon tried to get the photographer fired. The photographer went to Howard Levine and said, 'She hit on me. She tried to give me a blowjob. And I turned her down.' I believe Devon.

"So Devon says, 'Fire him or I quit.' And they don't fire him because the other girls stuck up for him. Vivid knows Devon can't quit because she's under contract. Devon didn't realize this.

"Vivid thinks everything has died down. Devon's dancing at a club in Van Nuys. Raylene shows up with her brother and this photographer. Devon says to Raylene, 'Listen, we're friends. But you've got to get that photographer guy out of here. I've had problems with him. He's a dick.'

"Raylene didn't take Devon seriously. Raylene was majorly f---ed up on cocaine. Devon told the club manager, 'I refuse to go on stage until that man is out of here.' Of course the club manager escorted the guy out. Raylene freaked out and attacked the bouncer. They kicked Raylene out.

"Devon gets off stage. She's worried because she sees Raylene's brother there. Devon went to her car to check on it and Raylene was getting ready to key her car. [Drag a key over the paint job to ruin it.] So the bouncer, who's right behind Devon, carried Raylene off. And Raylene put her nail in the guy's neck and injured him.

"Devon says, 'Raylene, this is not worth it. This is not the way I am going to live.' Devon's pregnant and very emotional. So Devon published the story on her web site. Well, the thing we don't do in this business is publish about anybody. Especially no Vivid contract girl publishes anything negative about another Vivid contract girl. You don't call another Vivid girl a big coke head.

"Vivid spent more money marketing Devon than any other girl. More money on Devon than all the other girls combined. Well, considering that many of their other girls are skanks.

"Vivid fired its promotion person for Devon, Brian Gross. Devon didn't feel he was promoting her properly. Then Devon turned around and gave Brian a job with Jill Kelly."

Brian Gross tells Luke that he secured his own job with Jill Kelly Productions.

"Vivid's stuck in a position where they can't ask Devon back. Devon's blabbed about things that weren't always true in an effort to make herself look bad. So, someone's got to take the blame. Perhaps Luke, you might be the man to bring healing between Vivid and Devon and reunite this winning combination. Why not give the photographer the blame so Vivid and Devon can make up?

"Vivid's been really nice and lenient with Devon. If they wanted to, they could've nailed her. This is the saddest story. She could've been so big but she's blown it. There's no other company that can market her as Vivid did. Devon is so young and naive, you want to slap her. She'll be 25 years old next week."

From the largest Devon fan site on the net (owned by EroticVideos.com), www.4aday.com/gossip.html:

November 2000

Devon was caught reporting her date of birth as March 28, 1979 when most published reports have her official date of birth as March 28, 1977, making her two years older then even her "official" site would have you to believe. However our sources at Vivid tell us the truth is, taken directly from her driver's license which they have on file (seeing she's a Vivid Girl and all) is that her real date of birth is March 28, 1977.

Devon vs Raylene

On December 01 Vivid Girl Devon was performing a live show to a packed house in Van Nuys, CA when her friend and fellow Vivid Girl, Raylene stopped by to say hello. Raylene was accompanied by her brother and an unnamed, male photographer that Devon has reported having problems with in the past. Devon asked Raylene to have the photographer leave "out of respect for her" and Raylene reportedly said "I'm so sorry, I'm so f---ed up [on cocaine] right now. I didn't even know you were dancing tonight". Devon herself reports that Raylene was "f---ed up on her drug of choice, seed". Devon invited Raylene and her brother to stay but the photographer had to go. Before Devon went back on stage, she found the photographer was in fact still in the club so to avoid a scene she had security escort/drag him out. At which time Raylene is reported to have started an argument with the club manager before going backstage to start an argument with Devon.

Raylene left the club but only to go into the parking lot to attack Devon's car. When the security guard tried to stop her, she got into a fight with him and left him with a huge "gash" in his neck.

Devon vs Jenna Jameson

Dec. 30th: Her [Devon's] appointment [as the new queen of porn] was sealed with the announcement that she would be the Penthouse Pet for January 2001. Sure Jenna still has legions of fans and still makes an occasional movie, but judging by the dismal sales of her Jenna2K calendar and the major drop in her video sales, it looks like Jenna may never catch back up with Devon.

Jan 4

Devon was fast on her way to porn stardom and it seemed nothing could stop her ... that is until now. Our sources tell us that Devon has been fired from Vivid Video, the company that put her on the map.

Most of these irate fans all seem to have one thought in common, that Devon is being led around by some bad news boyfriend and because of him (this unnamed loser boyfriend) Devon is making all of her bad decisions.

As for Devon herself, she claims to have another contract already lined up. Rumor has it, that it's with Jill Kelly's movie company called Jill Kelly Entertainment. Although they may currently be offering her more money, JKE is very small in comparison to the massive marketing machine known as Vivid Video. So it will probably only serve to hurt her sales in the long run. Which means Devon's future in porn doesn't look good. She'll either have to make up with Vivid and go back to work for them or get stuck doing gang bangs and anal sex orgies for some loser company. That is, if any other movie company will take her.

Jan 19

Not only does Devon now have serious contract problems, but it seems that even her appearances are being cancelled. On January 12th she was scheduled to appear @ Eros Station in Van Nuys, CA but instead they brought in porn newbie, Dayton. (Yes, that's the trailer trash looking chick) When I called to see what the deal was, it seems they have "no comment" on the matter. So with no video contract in the works and companies cancelling her personal appearances left and right, it seems things for Miss Devon aren't looking so great. :(

So what all of this comes down to is Devon's wish NOT to work with a certain unnamed Vivid photographer. None of this would have probably ever taken place if it wasn't for this photographer. We should all find out who this jackass is and linch him. Because if it wasn't for him, Devon would still be with Vivid and we would all (her fans that is) have many years of new Devon stuff to look foward to.

Shanefan writes: Luke- I'm reading the assault on Devon on your page and thought I'd chime in. I like Devon and think she's a great adult star. I applaud the fact that she is no longer with Vivid.

There are some things you're way off on...or your sources are way off on: Devon, on her site, never said she left Vivid because they wouldn't give her serious roles. She said she left because Steve was being a jerk, and wanted to barter cash advances for anal work. I don't know if THAT is true, but she never stated she left for more serious roles.

Also, it was never stated that Raylene was on coke. It was stated on Devon's site that Raylene was on "Seed" or pot. There's a pretty big difference there.

That being said, who IS this "Peter" guy? He sounds like Steve Hirsch's little bitch! As much as I don't like Vivid's movies, I think Steve is a genius business man and treats his girls well.

I don't see why he'd tell the "Devon Story" to this guy who would turn around and (no offense) tell you. Also, I detect some serious holes in Peters story.

1. He says Devon wanted an abortion and came to Steve looking for $1500. Steve thought it was CANCER? Yeah man, $1500 will really clear up cancer. Also, I don't know Devon really well, but I'll bet she does know that Steve KNOWS an abortion isn't $1500....yet, she may not have....

Second. Peter bags on Devon's acting and says she can't act. He says she can only portray innocence. THEN he says "Devon's on the weekly payout plan. But since she lied about it and tried to scam him by fake crying, it pissed him off and he said 'No. You're under contract." If she's such a s---ty actress, why did he believe her and her "serious surgery" dilemma? Are you saying Steve is fooled by a poor actresses poor acting skills? I doubt he is.....

Yet ANOTHER odd thing you say is that Vivid and Devon need to get back together because Vivid knows how to market her. Prior to that bizarre statement, you concur with everyone who says "The Pin Up" sucks because Devon can't act. Vivid made "The Pin Up" and cast Devon plus gave her the script! If they know how to market her so well, (as the innocent) why the hell did they put her in that movie in THAT role?

Over all Peter, I think the thing that annoys me the most is the fact you're airing out Devon's dirty laundry. I don't WANT to know she had an abortion. It's none of my or anybody else's business! Granted, I'm a nosy f---er cuz I read this site, but I like reading about the bizarre antics of people in the business. And, of course, I like reading Luke argue with himself while thinly disguised as Chaim. I don't want to know about tragic, emotional NON STORIES that are only brought to light by lap dogs like you. Quit kissing Vivid's ass...they can fight their own battles. And more importantly, if you're going to attack or slam somebody, don't constantly contradict yourself. And furthermore...leave Devon alone...she'll be a bigger and better star with Jill anyways...

Gossip On Ex-Vivid Girl Devon

Danni.com has the scoop on Devon. Here are some excerpts:

Devon says: "It's funny they have me on so many of their box covers because I don't feel like I'm the star of that movie or any others," she explains somberly. "I was basically the pretty girl who has a few sex scenes and ends up dying in every Vivid Video I've ever done. They were not interested in giving me a chance to act or take on a real character whatsoever."

Though she will not be able to perform in films until her contract with Vivid is up in August, she's already making plans for that bright and sunshiny day. "I'm in negotiations with a couple companies right now, but I can't really specify. I plan on doing another contract for at least a year or two, preferably with a company that has a really strong family vibe." My spies tell me those two companies are Digital Playground and Jill Kelly Productions -- quite fitting considering Devon's strong desire for a feeling of unity. The "family vibes" are stronger at DP and JKP than any I've seen in the last five years.

Vivid Devon Movie 'The Pin Up' Blasted

From 4aday.com:

If there is ever a movie I would say don't buy - well, this is it. I mean, if you are a Devon fan it is your choice but the only thought that comes to my mind after watching this movie is "oh how fast Devon's star has fallen". She claims in an interview that she left Vivid because they wouldn't give her a chance to act. Well truth is - and don't get me wrong I love Devon - but now I know why Vivid won't let her. She can't act. The plot of the movie WOULD have been great given a better director and cast. But it did serve one good purpose. It reminds us why we all came to love Devon .... because she is beautiful. If she would remember that, she would do good. But I do pray that she doesn't attempt to act again in the future. Her role in "If Looks Could Kill" was great but it was limited. When they actually gave Devon a ton of dialog, she just couldn't pull it off. I love Devon. I think she is beautiful. But I also think she should stick with what she does best - LOOK BEAUTIFUL and leave the rest behind.

As for the director [Guillermo Brown?] of this movie - well, I give him credit for one thing... making me realized how much being a good director (like Paul Thomas) is an actual art form. No this isn't about plot. This is purely a sexual thing. When I watch a porno I want to see beautiful naked girls having SEX. This movie was not that. I can't even think of a way to describe what this movie was.

And to our friends at Vivid Video, whom I'm sure will eventually find out about this review: I'm sorry but as a major fan of your work, I have never been more disappointed in the Vivid name. I have come to expect only the best when I see the words "Vivid Video" on the label of a box cover. The sex in this movie was almost non-exsistant, the girls were worse than scanky, the makeup artist for Devon (in the first of the movie) should IMMEDIATELY be terminated for ever letting Devon put on pink frost lip stick with a maroon lip liner and as for the director, well perhaps you were just being nice giving a newbie a chance but perhaps you should keep those newbie directors with Vivid Raw products, where they belong.

Devon Replies To Gossip - Says It's Slander

3/12/01

I heard from ex-Vivid girl Devon late this afternoon about gossip I found about her on other sites.

Devon writes Luke: "Luke, I thought we discussed this before. You do not have permission to post anything off my website and further more you are posting stories that are not true. I realize you did not write them however you are posting them and since they are not true, this is grounds for a defamation suit. If this is the route you choose to go then so be it! Otherwise take all that down immediately. Vivid needs and wants my stuff to sell to make them money thus all the drama. I am secure in what i am doing and do not care about Vivid sales. Ball is in your court, legal action or no legal action either way I don't care."

Luke replies: "You will need to be specific about what is not true. Anything that is untrue that I have posted, even though most of it is culled from other sites and labeled as such, I will immediately take down, and, if you wish, apologize for."

Devon replies: "Just about everything that was said in the letter for the erotic video people (the 4aday.com people). You must realize that this is a marketing ploy for them and action is being taken as we speak regarding their behavior. I do not endorse bulls--- if it is true than so be it, but do not try to hide a few true quotes in a letter full of lies."

Luke says: "Let me check with my sources."

10PM, Devon writes Luke: "Well I guess you made your desicion! Since you left everything up on your page I printed everything out and had my attorney look at your page and the printed material, plus the emails of me asking you to take it down. He has all the info so you should expect to hear from him soon! Defamation of character in the entertainment industry is a serious thing, sorry you chose to post lies!"

Devon Gossip

As reported at 4aday.com (in the Devon Gossip section)

Battle of the Bimbos

Last week Devon was on the road dancing at a little club called "The Dollhouse" in Raleigh, NC. It seems the week before, fellow Vivid girl Raylene appeared there as well. When Devon came back home and reported to her fans (via her website on 4/25/01) how much enjoyed the visit to the club she also mentioned that Raylene was there turning tricks (aka whoring her body for money) and then continued by saying that her body odor was so bad that they club management had to ask her to shower. Needless to say I was shocked when I read this. Even if it was true - did she really need to report it to the world? I think that just brought Devon down to her level. SHAME ON YOU DEVON. What you did only makes you look petty and immature.

Devon writes on her official web site DevonXXX.com: "The Dollhouse there is such a beautiful club... They told me stories that Raylene was their [sic] last and that she was partying non-stop. They said they had to go to her hotel room to get the customers out of her room. I guess she was tricking. They also said they had to ask her to shower because she had smelt [sic] so bad that people at the club were complaining. Gross!"

ImThatGood writes: Luke, 4aday.com is not Devon's offical site, she doesnt have any control over that site so i know she didnt say that about raylene, so please dont write this about devon it is not true!

AMber@EroticVideos.com writes: Poor ImThatGood ... I hate to be the one to break it to you but I seen what Devon said on her OFFICIAL site which is located at devonxxx.com. Not only did she say it - but it was actually much worse than what was posted at 4aday.com. So before you go jumping down Luke's throat for posting something perhaps you should yourself check the facts. It's posted in the "Diary" section of her site. Devon may be beautiful, but perfect she's not. Even a goddess like her is capable of saying a few naughty things from time to time.

Does Ex-Vivid Girl Devon Escort?

XXX writes: Ex-Vivid girl Devon is a whore! I find it pretty ironic that Devon would accuse Raylene of "whoring her body out" while dancing in Raleigh, NC. Someone should ask Devon to account for her whereabouts on August 23, 1999. I can tell you exactly where she was! In St. Louis whoring her own body out! I know for a fact because I went to St. Louis to meet Devon's client three days after she left and he told me all about her, plus a few of the bellmen at the Ritz Carlton recognized her. Her client gave me $10,000 for my time and he told me he paid the same for her. The funny thing is he said she can't even f---! I told him he would have known that if he ever watched one of her videos.

Obviously Devon is nothing but a childish, hypocritical bitch. Raylene on the otherhand is a sweetheart to be around. She is fun, easy to get along with, loves to have fun and doesn't spend 59 seconds out of every minute talking about herself and obsessing over her face. Maybe if Devon spent more time being positive and less time in the plastic surgeons chair trying to look like Michael Jackson she could find it in herself to get over her jealousy of Raylene and Vivid and move on.

Luke says: Devon has told me that she does not escort.

Raylene writes Luke: I've just been working on finishing, writing, and recording the record with my guitar player Daisy Chain who is also in the adult industry. Other than that I've been doing the same old stuff, doing movies, dancing, and chillin with my friends. I haven't read what Devon wrote about me or even had a chance to look, but I wish her well!

Digital Playground Star Devon Battles Drug Abuse
2003-10-06 19:54:20

Jason Sechrest writes on www.jasoncurious.com: All of my sources point toward rumors being truth when it comes to Devon’s substance abuse being at an all time high. Friends close to the star say she’s hit a rock bottom and has, over the course of the past two weeks, been everything from physically ill to at times even suicidal. One such friend told me the situation is so dire she fears for Devon’s life and prays not to see a repeat of the fate of one earlier pornstress, Savannah.

Though she has sought out the help of other actresses in the industry who have suffered similar substance abuse patterns, she has yet to actually check herself into any sort of rehabilitation center. Digital Playground, the company for which Devon is under exclusive contract, is reportedly at a loss for what to do as Devon must volunteer to check herself into rehab of her own free will. Devon has full medical coverage through the company.

“I want to help her, but she has to first decide to help herself,” said one of Devon’s closest co-workers, who asked to remain anonymous. “I don’t know many girls in this business that don’t deal with substance abuse at one time or another. Devon is more of a target for ridicule though because she’s such a name.”

Digital Playground did not give an official statement in time for press.

....................................

On 9/20/03, I got this email from somebody who knows her well: Devon is so strung out that fans and others booed her on stage at the Tampa Show. She is all Strung out in St. Louis now. She is so bad on pills and blow.
Digital Playground hides it and helps her get away with it.
She called the Police on Kevin Beech. I have her on Voice mail. She wants to turn Tricks to. The only problem is no one trusts her or likes her. Ask her about the guy in St. Louis that paid her for sex.

9/27/03:

I bet you well never get to speak to Devon. She is so drugged out that DP will never let it happen. She gets so many pills...
Devon has be talking to the police and I am sure they know what a wacko she is.
You can ask Samantha about the tricks Deven turned twice with "Don" in St. Louis and another one for Tricia. She is desperate for cash because of her drug habit, now no one wants to work with her.

.................................

Devon leaves this message: "You just left the house. I don't understand why you are attacking me about these things. I love you. You're my friend. XXX's threatens to destroy my career and now you tell me you're going to tell [owner of the company] that I f---ed up, that I did some drugs a few nights ago. I don't understand why you'd want to hurt me like that. It just doesn't make sense to me. I don't want to argue with you. I just don't understand why you want to tell everyone else about me."

Second message: "I know that you're on the other line but now I'm nervous that I told you about [another company owner]. Please, whatever you do, don't tell anybody. He could send his friends after me and my life could be in danger. I'm not going to press charges or anything like that but he's going to have to pay for whatever he did to me. He's got plenty of money. Please, don't do anything to him. Don't piss him off. Please, please. He could have me beat up or raped."

Third message. "I just got home. I got your message. You want me to help you pack? I think I have helped you enough. I kicked out the only man that I have ever loved to give you a place to live because you needed a place to live. And this is how I get treated? I don't think so. It is time for me to help myself. By the way, when have you ever helped me? You can't answer that, can you? Because you haven't. Either pay up or get the f--- out. I don't want any drama. I want all the bad people out of my life. I am tired of it. I've finally got my strength back. I am not dealing with this bullsh-t. I give you 48 hours to get your sh-t out or pay the rent. That's life."

Source: "Sounds like somebody who has done too many drugs to me."

Source writes: The first thing she does every day is Xanax. That's why she lost so much weight. And Vicodan. I've seen her take ten Vicodan at a time. She's so strung out on drugs that she doesn't know what she does. She doesn't realize she's causing all these fights with everybody.

People deliver her hundreds of Xanax. She also gets it from a doctor and a pharmacist or chiropractor who hangs around the business.

She does crystal meth and smoke tons of weed. That's why she's so chemically imbalanced.

She went to do a photo shoot and none of the bathing suits could fit her, she's lost so much weight. She had to use old bathing suits she kept in a car.

She's so skinny. She's like a head and nothing else. She sits in her house day after day doing drugs. While on drugs, she'll go on these tangents where she will call and call and she'll later forget about it. Three months ago, right before she went out with [company owner], she was threatening suicide. She swallowed all her Xanax and all her everything. Police had to go there and take her to the hospital and have her stomach pumped.

She has another doctor who gives her prescription medication. Her Vicodan tab is way up there. She gets a bottle of 100 new tabs a week.

She wakes and bakes. Do you know what that is? She wakes up and smokes a bong right away. Then a while later, she'll take a cap of Valium and Xanax and Ibuprofen. She doesn't do anything but sit inside her house. When she goes on the road, she has so many problems because she can't have her drugs. When she was with [company owner], she couldn't even go four days because she'd run out of drugs.

Why doesn't her company make her go into rehab? They have a no-drug clause in their contract. They could say, Hey, you're strung out. Clean up. [Owner] offered to put her in rehab. He was going to pay for it - $39,000. And she didn't want to.

She blames all her troubles on others. Her big story is that she was raped by her dad. It turns out that is not true. Everything else is about how so and so ruined her life...

Joseph writes: I just read your article "Digital Playground Star Devon Battles Drug Abuse". Though I've only met her once at a club, I've been a big fan of Devon for many years. Needless to say I find myself very concerned for her well being. Is there anything us fans can do to help this lady out? If there is an e-mail or snail mail address where fans could write to offer encouragement and support I'd be happy to send a note. It just seems that all the official websites and such would probably respond to her fanmail, and it's likely she'll never get the message. Too many people in this industry have hurt themselves or ended their own life prematurely, and I can't help but feel we have an opportunity to prevent something horrible from happening. I read a lot of stories and gossip that is usually very negative. I'd like to see some people rally behind something positive for a change. Ultimately how Devon chooses to live her life is up to her. It just seems like she might need some help. Please let us know what we can do.

Porn Chicks On Drugs
2003-10-08 08:29:16
Michael Louis Albo writes on AdultStarsNews.com:

What is going on here, kids? It's always amazed me how, in a business where a chick's ability to shove multiple objects up her rectum is considered a prized commodity, the very mention of the possibility that she might use or have used drugs at some point in her life is cause for tearing her down. Did I miss something here? She's a PORN chick!

For months there's been hand-wringing over whether or not a certain company's contract star "has a problem" with certain substances. Another porn chick, lately the object of derision for "flaking" allegedly due to substance abuse has been crucified as a cracked-out "whore" on another website. She's a PORN chick! She's supposed to be free of demons? Porn chicks, whether on dope or not, are notoriously flakey. Ask any veteran. Michael Carpenter, who's been around since the days when porn was carved on cave walls always told me, "Well, what do you expect? They're 'models.'"

There also seems to be a free pass for certain types of drugs. A girls uses Ecstasy? Okay. She smokes freebase cocaine or uses junk? She's a useless whore. I don't know, maybe I'm just Old School, but I KNOW what to expect from a stone junkie. All I can tell you about an X-head is that she won't shut up, listens to crappy music and dances like an asshole. So, you all need to check yourselves. These are porn squidges, not prom queens. And don't even get me started on the guys in this business.

Oh, and for those of you well intentioned folks who've written in and recommended all sorts of cures for my insomnia, thanks, I appreciate the advice, but I've traveled that road, and look where it's taken me.

..........................................

Ron Sullivan writes on yesportal.com:

I started doing cocaine around the age of forty, and was still doing it at fifty believing that I didn't have a problem with it. I finally got the message one night while in bed with a woman who passed out and pissed all over my bed after we did a sh-tload of coke and vodka together. I still remember the helplessness I felt while standing out in the street in my underwear, watching the paramedics strap her down on a gurney and haul her ass off in an ambulance. That happened on Valentine's Day, 1989.

I've known too many performers who are now dead, and all from either drug overdose or suicides because of drugs. I directed some, but others died before I had the chance. Shanna Grant shot herself about five hours after she called me the night before she was scheduled to be in San Francisco. I was looking forward to shooting her; she was getting to be a big name.

"I guess I'll be letting you all down if I don't show up, huh?" Shanna asked.

"Well, yeah, we're all counting on you, honey. Are you okay?" I asked, already sensing that she wasn't going to show up the next morning.

"Okay…I guess I'll see you later, then," she told me and hung up.

Five hours later, Laurie Smith was crying when she called my hotel room to tell me that Shanna Grant would not be making the flight. I didn't even know Laurie, who we booked to make sure Shanna would show up. Laurie only had a small non-sex role in the film; her first job was to be Shanna's escort. By then everyone knew that Shanna Grant was becoming very unreliable because she was so f-cked up.

That was in March of 1984; I needed another five years and somebody very close to me passing out from cocaine before I got the message.

Devon Available Through Exotica-2000.com

Digital Playground contract girl Devon is listed on the escorting site www.exotica-2000.com. They include a biography:

Devon was born in New Jersey under an Aries sun. She's a family girl at heart, taking pride in her older sister and two younger brothers. Devon has always been very active and participated in gymnastics and jazz dance instruction until she was 15. She graduated high school early and craving independence, took a waitress position to support herself.

While Devon was serving pizza to area residents, a co-worker told her about amateur night at Al's Diamond Cabaret in Redding, Pennsylvania. The idea of being on stage, dancing nude to the music of her choice in exchange for much better wages was eminently appealing and Devon showed up to audition at the very next contest. With stars in her cards, Devon wooed the audience and walked away that night a first place winner, with the jackpot in her pocket and a new career successfully launched. From that night on, Devon knew she was born to perform. Finally, she was achieving the freedom she had craved.

She danced at Al's for the next three years and rubbed shoulders with some of the adult industries biggest stars. With an enormous appetite and desire for worldwide recognition, Devon filmed her first gonzo production and submitted it to a major distributor in the adult industry. They fell in love with the ambitious and adorable blonde girl and signed her to immediate contract.

Today, Devon is still very active. She works out everyday, either at the gym, on the stage or on the slopes. She is an avid skier and loves traveling. Devon is out going and adventurous and her striking looks complement her warm nature. She loves animals and people and aspires to bring a smile to everyone she meets. Devon's innocent enthusiasm lends eminent depth to her characters, making her one of the most demanded performers in the business. Her performances are nothing short of amazing and her productions stay on the best sellers list for months on end.

Joone signed Devon to exclusive contract with Digital Playground. President Samantha Lewis raves about the decision, Devon is a wonderful addition to our family. She is beautiful, kind and she possesses the exact qualities we were hoping to find.

Plazaman writes on TER: "I called for her rate. They said $2000/hr cash or $2200/hr credit card."
