Dale Jordan
Interview

He's the older brother of Corey Jordan.

We speak Thursday morning, July 14, 2005, on the Cherry Boxxx set.

Duke: "When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?"

Dale: "I wanted to be a mainstream actor. Always in the limelight."

Duke: "Did you fight a lot with Corey?"

Dale: "Yeah. We had a fight one time [when Dale was 17, Corey 13]. I split his eye open and he broke my nose. My dad came home and chased us with a baseball bat. It was fun."

Duke: "A typical Jewish family."

Dale: "Oh yeah."

Duke: "Would you be able to beat [Corey] up now?"

Dale: "No comment."

Duke: "What crowd did you hang out with in highschool?"

Dale: "Jocks. The in-crowd."

Duke: "Did you do some work in movies?"

Dale: "I did 45 movies. But I got married at age 23 [Dale was 19 when he started dating his future wife, she was 17] and had two kids (one is 19 and one 14, their names are tattooed on Dale's arm) and I realized I needed something more stable. I worked in the trucking business. I fought competitively but there wasn't much money in kick boxing.

"In 1997, Dion [Giarusso] went to work for Patrick Collins. Dion got me in there to train Greg Alves. I used to talk to Patrick all the time. He said, 'What do you want to do with your life?' I said, 'I think I could be a good porn director.' He said, 'To be a good director, you have to be a true pervert.' I said, 'I'm a true pervert.'

"He said, 'Give me some ideas.' So I gave him stuff that turns me on. He said, 'That's pretty perverted. I like that.'

"He did a series called Wet Spots. He let me shoot one scenes. He busted my balls about that one scene. He critiqued it. In three months, I did a whole movie (Wet Spots). I found a niche."

Duke: "Are you still married?"

Dale: "No. Divorced. Not by choice."

Duke: "Did pornography affect your marriage?"

Dale: "Yeah. I got caught up in the moment and did something I lived to regret. This is a hard business. When you're around beautiful young women all the time, you wonder what it is like on the other side. Not that you want to leave what you have, but sometimes you get caught up in the moment."

Duke: "You fell in love with a porn girl?"

Dale: "Not even that. It was a tragic mistake. It wasn't supposed to be a big thing but somebody found out and dropped the dime on me. I don't know who it was. It took the wind out of my sails."

Dale's wife immediately filed for a divorce (2001).

Duke: "Has this happened to other people you know in the industry?"

Dale: "Only to shmucky me."

Dale doesn't date a lot, but when he does, it is with women inside and outside of the business.

He's never found a civilian woman of substance who was willing to put up with him working in porn.

Dale's heart still belongs to the mother of his kids. He sees her frequently. She is head of sales for Corey Jordan's company No Boundaries. She hasn't remarried but she's seeing somebody.

"It's a difficult thing. I have my kids to keep me strong. I keep myself as occupied as I can. Working. Rick [Davis] and I were doing two or three movies a week for Cherry Boxxx."

Dale says that he and Rick trade off directing and producing.

Duke: "What does being Jewish mean to you?"

Dale: "I'm proud to be Jewish. I'm not a practicing Jew. In my heart, I [respect] my religion. I wasn't bar mitzvahed. Corey was. He just wanted the money. My ex is Catholic. We don't push religion on our kids. They choose to go more towards the Catholic side."

Duke: "What's it like dating a porn star?"

Dale: "Drama."

Dale's lost 30 pounds in the last few months.
