AVN Awards
Den from www.cavr.com writes: AVN is the the bible of this industry and very highly thought of by all. But, I sure wish they would pay more attention to what they are doing! Let me give you 3 examples:
1. Reviews. The magazine has become so big with ads and other features that they have cut back drastically on the number of reviews they do. And, they have cut back even the one line reviews to just the title of the movie. They say that you can read the review on their web site, but I sure can't find them? AVN please go back to the good old days and review movies. AVN should try actually visiting video stores and talking to the owners and the renters.
2. Nominations - Movies. AVN favors movies with alot of storyline and not much sex in them. They also like movies that contains black & white footage, poor lighting and the more costumes the better. They favor couples oriented movies. CAVR is the exact opposite. We want SEX in our Sex Movies!
3. Nominations - Best New Starlet (Nov 15th is cut off date)

Kid Vegas Ruckus
Contrary to Legend's claim that Kid Vegas sells 3200 pieces out the door, I hear that Kid Vegas rather sells about 500 pieces out the door, at $10 each. His first one sold 900 pieces, and 366 were returned.
Legend manager Jeff Steward is telling porners that he's tired of Kid Vegas badmouthing his competitors and Jeff may cut him loose.
Hyam writes: "Luke, this Kid Vegas girl, Honey, said she did a 3 way with Kid Vegas and another guy and this other guy went down on Kid Vegas during the 3 way."
Luke: I think that's beautiful. People get so judgemental. So long as sex is expressed with love, whether it is male - female, male - male or female - dog, Luke and Reform Judaism have no problem with it.
Pro writes: Can I get some of those drugs Legend's PR guy is taking? I'm quite fond of hallucinogens. Kid Vegas a runaway hit? Not in anyone's lifetime on this planet. 70mm? It would end up the biggest financial fiasco those guys every got themselves into. Why? No way to get the 70mm (in actuality, it's 65 mm...the 70mm is the size of theatrical release prints in mainstream) telecined to video. No telecine house that has a 65mm gate will touch adult: They're mostly owned by Disney, except for Sony's lab.
Gigi Appleton of Avalon (distributors) writes: Hey Luke, When I was at Sin City, Buck Adams' did indeed shoot footatge on 65 in Nightclub. It was really pretty well done. The guy who wrote in was right. We had a helluva time getting anyone to help us but eventually Buck charmed one of the companies with a 65 gate to do it!!!! HEHE
Tiffany Mynx, Van Damage Vs Extreme
Attorney for Tiffany Mynx and Van Damage, Michael Friedman, writes:
I had the opportunity to review the December 1999 edition of Hustler Erotic Video Guide (for work, of course) and noticed an article about Rob Black and Extreme Associates. Among other things, its says the following:
Black claims to have proof that he owns the Asswoman title, contrary to what is alleged in the $2 and 1/2 million legal action brought against him by former associates Tiffany Mynx and Van Damage. Says Rob, "I hope they've got a lot of money, because we've got a bunch of countersuits going in federal court." He claims the case will set a precedent about the claims of "what is called disgruntled employees." Meanwhile, he's using footage of them in two compilations: The Damage is Done and Tiffany Mynx: Rest in Peace. Damages's only comment on the matter is, "I made seven movies for Rob and he never paid me a dime."
Well, I have a few comments of my own about this.
First, Rob's counter-suit in Federal Court was dismissed because the parties had tentatively reached an out-of-court settlement. That settlement has not worked out so far, as Tiffany and Rob continue to haggle over small change which, if this were purely a business deal, should not have stood in the way of a settlement. I am informed that more is at stake than mere money, and that past matters of a sexual nature between Rob and Tiffany may be standing in the way of this settlement. Perhaps this explains why Rob has made such vicious statements about Tiffany in the past, and Tiffany has not responded in kind, but instead continues to have a happy relationship with Van. Perhaps Rob is not happy when he does not get what he wants. All I know is that, if this case is going to settle, I need to be a psychologist as much as a business attorney.
Second, if Rob has proof that he owns the Asswoman title, and it is not the copyright registration he filed five months after Tiffany registered her copyright for the Asswoman in Wonderland video, then Rob has violated federal law by failing to produce that evidence when his attorney and I met in September to exchange evidence. If his proof is just that copyright registration, it is a violation of federal law to attempt to copyright an already copyrighted work. Needless to say, Rob's comments to the press will have to be fully explored as discovery gets underway in Van and Tiffany's lawsuit.
Third, while Rob continues to assert that Van and Tiffany were employees of Extreme Associates, disgruntled or otherwise, his attorney has produced documents showing that Rob claims that Van and Tiffany owe Extreme Associates approximately $40,000 for ads Rob placed in AVN, allegedly for Van and Tiffany's videos. What is that about? How can Van and Tiffany be employees of Extreme Associates on one hand, and have to pay for AVN ads for their videos on the other hand? I am looking forward to discussing this issue with Rob at his deposition and will report his response to you. My humble opinion, however, is that Rob is lying when he says that Van and Tiffany were employees of Extreme Associates. I have proof too. When Extreme Associates' books were set up in May 1998, Rob's cousin, Bruce Zicari, an accountant in New Jersey, oversaw the process. The accounting records show that separate accounts were opened for VG Productions, Extreme Video, Tom Byron Productions, Mark Kulkis and Dominic Zicari (Rob's father) As videos were sold, or costs were incurred, these credits and debits were allocated to each account. (Tiffany did not have her own account in May 1998 because Asswoman in Wonderland, her only video distributed by Extreme, was not made until August 1998.) Bruce Zicari had to approve the accounting before Rob's father, Dominic, would pay the accountant. The accountant was paid in full, which says to me that Bruce Zicari approved the accounting set up. This is not an employment relationship. Additionally, when I met with Rob's attorney in September to exchange evidence, she produced no evidence of employment records, no evidence of employee withholdings, no evidence of worker's compensation insurance. Her comment to me was that Van and Tiffany were independent contractors. Apparently, even she cannot support Rob's position that Van and Tiffany were employees of Extreme Associates.
Fourth, I was advised by Rob's attorney that Van and Tiffany should be concerned that Extreme Associates may declare bankruptcy. This, more than anything, prompted serious settlement negotiations between me and Rob's lawyer. If Van and Tiffany need to be concerned about Extreme's solvency, perhaps every other entity doing business with Extreme may have to worry about it too. That is speculation on my part, but I believed Rob's attorney when she told me this -- she has always been very honest with me and I am very happy to be working with her despite some rather graphic comments you made in your last piece about this case (which gave us all a good chuckle.)
Lastly, if things are so great at Extreme, and Rob doesn't need Van or Tiffany to get by, why is he still trying to make money off of them and their names by making compilations of their work. Tiffany has received so much positive feedback on Rob's compilation, "Tiffany Mynx - Rest in Peace" on her website www.tiffanymynx.com that she would like to be able to sell them on her website. Funny, I dont' see Rob making compilations of Lizzy Borden scenes or Jasmin St. Clair scenes. Is it possible that Rob just likes Tiffany better? Or maybe Rob is doing this to spite Van and Tiffany. I don't really know. It doesn't make sense to me. All I know is that he is giving Tiffany and Van that much more market exposure. What do you think?

He's recently given up inhaling the herb. If only Rob and Tommy Byron would follow his example.

Sobriety was forced on me but i have been really grateful for it. I'm not a schicker, never have been, just pot, but it was too much. Not for a family man and lawyer, so I attend lots of 12-step meetings and discuss the issue with lots of my clients and have referred some for treatment and leave messages on bulletin boards and stuff like that. I'm not ashamed. Honesty is really important."
Andrea True Update
Shaggy writes: Hey Luke, VH1 is running a program entitled "Where Are They Now? Disco." Amid the various 70's disco acts featured was Andrea True. The reference to Ms. True was in regard to her 1976 hit "More, More, More." Surprisingly, the show mentioned her career as a porn star in the early 70's. Even going as far as to show a brief clip from "The Seduction of Lynn Carter." As for where she is now: Andrea True now resides in Florida, making a living as a mail order astrologer. While looking twenty years older and twenty pounds heavier, Ms. True has held up rather well over the years. Not a raving beauty, but better off than many ex porners. In closing, she commented that she would like to be remembered as, "Someone who brought people pleasure."
AIM Update

December 1, 1999 The last of the Century - Wow! So much has happened in these last few months, it's hard to say what's the most important thing to start with. I am pleased to announce that AIM is buzzing along in its 2nd year and we are being of service more than ever!
After our round trip to Florida with Nightmoves magazine's "Caravan of Stars and Awards Show", we raised over $3,000 for our Non-Profit Organization. I was particularly proud of over 20 talent members that busted their butts in the blazing sun at a charity car wash held in Florida including our own licensed phlebotomist - Chloe, Jill Kelly, Julian and of course Anna Malle.
In October we unfortunately had the experience of finding an HIV positive result in an actor in the industry. AIM HealthCare is the most efficient monitoring and partner notification system in the world. Within seven days and two countries we were able to locate, contact, retest and clear 28 people by 1st and 2nd generation contact. The client safely made his way with confirmatory tests into Aids Healthcare Foundation for immediate medical treatment. We are proud of the hard work that our staff does here at AIM and we appreciate your contributions and letters of thanks, input and feedback.
We have been moving forward in areas of Hepatitis "C" testing. There is a pre-funded free testing program for Hep C that will begin at AIM in December so come on in for a free Hep C test. We are getting ready for the New Year and the new Millennium. "AIM for the Future!" We have had the privilege of working with the talent of Michael Ryan (formerly "Kid Sparkle") and his new company "Pornographixxx " to design our poster calendar. This will involve over 60 photos of our favorite clients and staff. He has been shooting in exotic and unusual locations like the Vivid girls at the beach and Rosey Rockets on the roof and Isabella on the railroad tracks. This is gonna be the best poster ever and we will be giving them away at the CES show. CES donated a booth for our non-profit cause. We will also be giving away condoms and InnerLube, so please come buy and say Hi.
To all the companies that donate regularly to us, please submit your logo's (8x10s) by the end of December for CES and we will hang them on our display booth among the talent that also submits their pictures. In October, I taught my mid-semester course in HIV-101, at Mission Community College, and in this course I brought along actors Tony Montana and Monique DeMoan to explain how they feel about working in a hi-risk business. It made the course very dramatic and effective.
In November, I went to Budapest, Hungary, summoned by request of my dear friend Anita Rinaldi. I prepared to teach courses in HIV, hepatitis and STD's. I had the curriculum translated into Hungarian. I taught at the Hotel Ibis for two days. I also brought 5,000 condoms to be distributed and a large amount of "InnerLube" which we use as an additional barrier to STD's and pregnancy. I was able to seek out a laboratory that does PCR/DNA testing. They do the same as AIM does in 24-hour turnaround for about $70.00 (US). On the lab premises, they also have a gynecologist and she and I worked out effective STD, Pap smear and bacteria serology screenings; also very cost-effective. So now we have similar programs in both continents where the porn family co-exists.
I have taken it as my personal calling to educate, inform and inspire my fellow talent members. The trip to Budapest working with Anita Rinaldi and our European friends proves that solutions lie in the similarities, not in the differences.

Chaim Amalek writes: Luke, the following anonymous letter to the editor of the New York Press, a free weekly, is of interest. The current Forward takes note of the letter as well. Personally, I think that the letter makes some valid points, albeit in a hateful manner evocative of something darker still. Liberal Hollywood jews need to pay heed to what the writer is saying, and appreciate that he speaks for many other intelligent goyim as well. Perhaps you should discuss it at your shul. (I know that I would discuss it at my schul, except that I do not have one and even if I did, I would be ejected for violating the political orthodoxy.) Don't bother discussing it with the greedy jewish porners - they will remain in denial right up to their bitter ends.
(Start of letter) I was surprised to read George Szamuely’s eloquent defense of Pat Buchanan against charges of "anti-Semitism," considering the pusillanimous kosher conservative who runs NYPress. George, I am so grateful to you for your brave stand that I promise I will write letters in your defense to all the New York papers the next time you decide to pilfer some books or commit some other crime.
Anyway, I think it’s obvious to every rational person that Buchanan is no anti-Semite. Although the voice of dissent speaks timidly, the previously unassailable Jewish mastery of public opinion is beginning to crack. Even Buchanan’s worst enemies, excluding the unscrupulous, hysterical media Jews, have spoken out to say that however politically misguided he may be, he is not an anti-Semite, although that was obvious to most observers from the start. Most Americans don’t accept the Jewish definition of an anti-Semite, which is someone who doesn’t do the Jews’ bidding, and they’re beginning to resent the vicious smear campaign against Buchanan, which has been perfected in countless previous attacks on innocent objects of Jewish hatred. Most Americans don’t regard the publication of obvious historical facts (e.g., Hitler didn’t have the ability to attack the U.S.) as cause for the personal political destruction of the author, just because those facts don’t jibe with the Jewish version of history. With their venomous, hate-filled media blitzkrieg against Buchanan, the Jews, as usual, are overdoing it, but this time it is in full view of the American public, which is revolted by the sheer ugliness of Jewish goals and Jewish methods.
At this point in time we are privileged to witness the most recurrent event in history: the point where a host population gets fed up with Jewish exploitation and subversion and either expels or attacks the Jews. Someone should set up an office pool to bet on when it will start. Wait, it’s already begun. A few synagogues were burned down this summer in California. Jews were also shot there and in the Midwest. How many countless acts of minor vandalism and harassment have been carried out in the New York area alone?
The revolution is beginning and the patriots are getting bolder. Rabbi Mermelstein, who is a member of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, recently wrote an article warning his people against their continued subversion of the majority’s values, particularly the right to bear arms. The only logical outcome of that, he predicted, would be a backlash, possibly genocide. But the Jews can’t help themselves. Our Bill of Rights continues to be assaulted by their radical shyster lawyers. Our culture continues to be polluted by their pornography and their filthy television shows and movies like American Pie, or the annual Miramax anti-Christian agitprop. Do you think Americans don’t notice that the credits for these productions read like a page from a Tel Aviv phone book? Do the Jews think that Americans are not incredibly resentful that this powerful, obnoxious tribe works feverishly to take away our guns, restrict our First Amendment rights, manipulate our government and foreign policy, drown us in nonwhite immigration, destroy our traditions and indoctrinate our children in the dubious "Holyhoax" religion?
Recent events at the Brooklyn Museum illustrate the obviousness of the Jews to the feelings of their host nation. The Jewish museum director Lehman put on an exhibit of sickening and blasphemous art, including the famous Virgin Mary owned by the Jew Saatchi. How long do the Jews think they can get away with this? We increasingly read how Palestinians, Arabs and now Aryans are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to kill one or two Jews. Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, said that anti-Semitism "...is an understandable reaction to Jewish defects." International Jewry should realize this before it is too late, but I fear that the old cycle is beginning to come full circle again.
NAME WITHHELD, Staten Island

1. No rational person would think Buchanan is anti-semetic? Clearly ridiculous. Many rational people, non-Jews included, have been forced to draw this conclusion. Noted conservative Catholic writer William F. Buckley has drawn this conclusion. Apparently, Mr. Name Withheld" thinks William F. Buckley is irrational. That is plainly nonsense.
2. It is a historical fact that Germany was in no position to attack the United States? Then why did Germany declare war on the United States? Mr. Name Withheld apparently knows nothing of history.
3. Mirimax is not anti-Christian. I've seen lots of Mirimax films. I've yet to see one that is "anti-Christian."
4. The so-called blasphemous art work (the painting of the Virgin Mary with elephant dung) was produced by a Christian.
Luke, Mr. Name Withheld is clearly an antisemetic hate-filled jerk. What are you doing publishing this s---? Is it your goal to try to be part of some wierd efforts to generate pogroms? Name Withheld adds nothing to any sensible or reasonable discussion.
Rape Videos
Szigmund Freud writes on RAME: Having encountered them on Holland's CRUSEX, EUROSEX and DUTCH PLEASURES sites, I procured a handful of rape-themed videos. I just wanted to warn potential viewers that these videos are terrible in every way. Released in Holland through a company called Scorpio Productions, they are poorly shot, appallingly acted, bad video-quality pieces of s---. Unreasonably, I was expecting some real heat from these tapes -- perhaps a return to U.S. classics of the past such as DEFIANCE, WATERPOWER, HOT SUMMER IN THE CITY (actually, that's not a classic), WEEKEND FANTASY, FORCED ENTRY and WINTER HEAT. The titles I procured included THE SECRETARY GETS RAPED,BRUTALLY RAPED and RAPE OF A TOURIST. These films are not erotic, not brutal, not in focus and not worth $1.99. What's interesting about all these videos is that they are all American and shot quite recently, I would say. Have any of these been released in the States? More curiously, who is making them? No crew members or actors are credited. A Max Hardcore title features more rough play than these.

Ever since Ricky Martin-mania has hit the world, we here at The Konformist have been racking our brains over one question: "How can we cynically jump on his bandwagon for our own personal benefit?"
We believe we have come up with the answer. For all the millions of women in the world who are panting for Ricky, a question seems to haunt all their fantasies of him: is he gay? Make no mistake about it: this is a question on a lot of people's minds.
Recently, it was the top question posted to "Ask Jeeves" on the internet. Oddly, though it is a question quite a few people are asking, the major media has treated it with a silence normally reserved for J. Edgar Hoover and Janet Reno. Besides a few snide articles in GettingIt and Salon Magazine, and some smart ass comments from Howard Stern (who, after mercilessly attacking others for faults in personal lives, is proving himself to be a whiny hypocrite after the recent revelations of his failed job as a husband) and other shock jocks, the story has gotten almost no publicity.
And so, the question must be asked: is Ricky Martin (who, incidentally, is a well-groomed, sharply dressed, narcissistic man who really enjoys dancing, and who previously starred in a soap opera, a Broadway musical the pop band Menudo) a homosexual? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
We at The Konformist can't say for sure what the answer is: of course, we also can't say for sure if Pro Wrestling is faked. We are sure of one thing: he is DEFINITELY in touch with his feminine side, which is pretty suspicious to begin with. Personally, we wouldn't blame Ricky for hiding his fairyhood: after all, he's got records to sell, and to get women to spend hard cash, an illusion needs to be sold. And for the record, he is a talented performer, and we understand why women so desperately want to buy the illusion: he's a charismatic singer, with a thin yet impressively muscular frame, a handsome face with luscious lips, and a nice, firm butt. Uh, what we meant to say is, um... say, this football season sure is interesting to watch, isn't it?
Anyway, we at The Konformist don't blame Ricky at all for faking that he is a man, even if he's doing an unconvincing job of it. Still, we want to encourage him to come out of the closet and admit that he is the sissy everyone suspects he is. Don't worry Ricky, we'll be behind you 100% - uh, that is, we'll be behind you, but we won't be staring at your nice, firm ass, because we're not gay.
