Of course it's not going to be CES or VSDA, because there's not the commercial interest of doing business with distributors to drive it. But that actually added to a pleasingly laid-back atmosphere where the attitude was more on having fun, meeting and greeting, than posturing and posing. I do think it's a drag that some companies sell their back inventory for $5 for a pop, though ... While a deep show discount is a great idea, I know for a fact that such behavior by a few vendors last year led to several companies not bothering to come and sell videos this year, since they didn't care to be forced to compete with such tactics, and thereby end up losing money just to do the show. The whole thing reminded me of a comic book convention, which is both a compliment and a dis. But I do think the industry could do itself a favor by supporting such events, and thereby getting a much better read on who the fans are and what they're really looking for..."

AVN Fires L-patin, Walker For Bad Review

Matt writes on RAME: Well the "Golden" pics promised on the intro to Max's website are most likely referring to "Dolly Golden" who stars in Max World #20 and not golden shower picks. JcJoe opines on RAME: After viewing MORE than my share of adult videos from BOTH sides of the Pond, I am prepared to make the following observations with which RAMERS (always upper case) MAY or MAY NOT concur.

(1) Since the Euro Pond has not been infested with Paul FISHbin and his minnows at avn (always written lower case) the rubber ducky does not appear on the dickies with NEAR as much regularity and DISTRACTION, except for Private's line.

(5) European film makers seem to put more stock on camera artistry and beauty in the filming of their productions, especially Pierre Woodman, Toshe Gold and Marc Dorcel. The RARE exceptions on this side of the POND are Michael Ninn, Jim Holliday and Andrew Blake>>who all KNOW which end of the camera to point!

(6) European film makers appear to spend more time with story line and dialogue than most of the quick money f--- flicks and gonzo garbage mass produced here. Once again, there are exceptions to this>> Paul Thomas, Michael Ninn, Brad Armstrong, Michael Raven and Jonathan Morgan regularly turn out PORN PLUS entertainment!
