Sunset Thomas, Nikki Lynn at the Bunny Ranch

Erotica LA Organizer Ron Miller Writes

With regard to the security you can thank, and blame, the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department. They, not I made the "rule" that no cameras would be allowed at this years EROTICA LA and with held the rental agreement on the L.A. Convention Center unless complied with. In addition they stated that if my security didn't prevent people from taking pictures the show would be closed.

At anyone moment in time, throughout the 3 days of EROTICA LA '99, there were as many as 40 undercover L.A.P.D. officer in the room and on Saturday there were 15 uniformed officers lined up across from the exit, your tax dollars at work!

EROTICA LA paid the L.A. Convention Center a great deal of dollars in rent, based on a minimum against a percentage of the ticket sales, the percentage of the ticket sales equaled double the minimum rent. So the City was making nothing but money on EROTICA LA, a great deal more than I did, and was wasting even more of our tax dollars. If you really think that the policy of no pictures was wrong and you really enjoy EROTICA LA then help me change things for next year by contacting the Mayor and your City Counsel person and let them know that you want your Constitutional Rights protected and your tax dollars used wisely.

By the way, in the 3 years that EROTICA LA has been presented only one incident result in any arrest and prosecution. That was the arrest of 3 female entertainers last in 1998 from the Seymore Butts booth, that case is still in the Court. There has never been an arrest of any person attending EROTICA LA and, since we are innocent until proven guilty, there has never been any type of crime committed at EROTICA LA or in connection with EROTICA LA. Think about it, in 3 years more than 30,000 people have attended EROTICA LA without one single arrest and over 300 exhibitors and vendors have participated with only one incident that result in the arrest and prosecution of 3 girls. These are the facts. It is my desire to continue to present EROTICA LA right here in LA where it belongs, and the talent and industry share my desire. All media was presented with the "Show Rules", referred to above, and a cover letter outlining my feelings on the conduct of the media, (a similar letter and copy of the same "Rules" were presented to and signed by all vendors and talent).

I saw Max Hardcore walk in and immediately proceed to the AIM booth where he confronted Rayne who was appearing and signing. With cameras rolling I heard Max refer to Rayne in an extremely derogatory manner and proceed to fondle her buttock with his hand and, in my opinion, reach for her crotch, all in direct disregard of the "Show Rules" he had signed minutes earlier. I stepped in and ask that he and his entire crew follow me to the registration area. This was done in a quite and polite manner. Upon reaching the registration area I inquired as to whether or not Max and crew had read the documents they signed and he, (Max), responded in the affirmative stating that he thought it was "okay" to "touch", despite the plain and direct statement contained in the "Show Rules".

I explained to Max that his conduct placed Rayne and the entire show along with all the vendors and myself in harms way and ejected him from the show. As was the case with all media Max and crew paid nothing to get in, unlike virtually all the other media he sought to, in my opinion, profiteer with no regard for anyone else.

EROTICA LA 2000 has been booked at the Los Angeles Convention Center for June 1 - 3, 2000 and the camera issue is currently being discussed. My preliminary read is that camera will be allowed so long as everyone respects the other "Show Rules" which will be clearly posted throughout the venue.

Luke ran into his porn journalist hero David Aaron Clark on Sunday at Erotica LA. David has a diminished view of my journalism and he was disappointed to learn that I am planning articles on his long running feud with former Screw journalist Mark Kramer.

In early May, detailed information about Brandy Alexandre, including her real name, Social Security number, bankruptcy history, home address and work place appeared on the newsgroups.

On May 10, 1999, various inflammatory posts were made in Brandy's name (though definitely not by Brandy) which included her work phone number. Voyager7 writes on RAME: Since I am a perennial rubbernecker on veep Gore's Info Hiway, I went to Brandy's site, read her account of what happened and then since I have use of ISDN at work, I downloaded the NBC and Fox TV news segments found on her site.

First off, until we are all blessed with "100 mbps (or better yet gigabit) switched" cable modem access to our computers, one can pretty much kiss off getting any kind of decent video via Al's info highway. Of course with our lame clueless Telco's and Cable TV industry, this may eventually be a reality, though not by 2050.... but I digress.....

As for downloading Brandy's "puppies"...... :-) NBC segment. 28.6 mb, took 34 minutes to download a 2 plus minute recorded TV segment. ISDN router was cranking at 14.6 KB/sec, at 75% throughput. Don't know why it wasn't cruising at 100%. Fox segment. 25.4 mb, took 30 minutes to download the mpeg file.

Ok, Brandy who is your publicist? It sounds like you got lead story at the head of a both broadcasts. Impressive. Both segments were close to being the same. Showed some boxcover art of Brandy and some pics, as they briefly discussed her porn career which they indicated she left, 7 years ago. I liked the "TV Bite", with her wearing the cowgirl hat and boots.... :-) Both TV news stories reiterated what Brandy noted in her website. The parts saying her former occupation was a discredit and embarrassment to Forest Lawn. Damn, I learn something new about those dearly planted every day. Not only do..... Dead Men Not Wear Plaid......... but apparently they are deeply embarrassed by having a 7 year former pornstar minding their p's & q's! :-)

In both of Brandy's interviews, she was wearing a light colored business dress accented by her short stylish dark blond hair. Very executive secretary like. She told her side of the story with vigor, a bit of humor, was wide eyed, attentive, and spoke very intelligently, a very good TV presence of a victim, done wrong. If Brandy decides to tussle with them in the media, she would be a formidable foe.

Pics of the corporate tudor style headquarters and the grounds at the planting station were shown, nice place to work it appears, visually. Questions for Brandy, In the Fox segment, who was the guy you were walking with and speaking to who had a cane? [Boyfriend]

At the end of the Fox segment, the reporter indicated that Forest Lawn could not be held legally liable for waiving you, because you had not indicated on your employment application, that you were once a pornstar. Was he making a big stretch here, or is that true, legally? Finally, in my opinion, this was a thoroughly disgusting and nasty thing someone(s) foisted upon Brandy. I mean screwing around with one's cybermind is one thing, but screwing with one's livelihood is another. I know, I would not want to be on the receiving end.... when... The Empire Strikes Back.....

Steve Austin Interview

A porn actor since 1988, and former World Modeling talent coordinator, Steve Austin, who does not like to give interviews, did not want to comment on Annie the Anonymous porn star and her accusations against him and World Modeling. He spoke Tuesday with great reluctance.

Steve: "I've worked at World Modeling for about seven years. And in walks a girl, and her pimp, I mean boyfriend… She had the courage to use her porn star name… And not behind "Annie…" She had an eye problem. One eye faced north and another southeast…

""Annie" [Steve mentions her name but Luke agreed to give "Annie" anonymity, so he's removed her stage name from this conversation] comes into the office with Biff to register. I speak to her. Jim South speaks to her. There is an advantage to her that she will do video. That makes it easier to place her for work. World Modeling gives her people to see and sends her out on some interviews. They took pictures. The most common response we got, was, 'Steve, Jim, what are you sending me?' Nothing stems from those appointments. World Modeling can only do so much. They push for work as much as they can. We can't change the girl's looks.

"She starts developing an attitude after a couple of weeks of this on why is World Modeling not getting me work. Like I said, World Modeling can only do so much. We can't make people hire you. There is no advantage to World Modeling in not getting someone work who is registered with them. What would the point be? One of the problems at World Modeling is trying to keep everyone happy but at the time, myself, Jim South and Jim Jr. sure as hell tried. Whenever someone works for a straight week, we're their best friend. Whenever someone has two days off in a row the next week, somehow we become the enemy. It's not fair.

"Annie, this poor excuse of a model, made allegations about World Modeling and especially Steve Austin. These allegations about Steve Austin forcing himself on her is not only a vicious lie but nothing is further from the truth. She brought up the feature musical by Cash Markman, Schwinging in the Rain. She came to me because she was not getting any work, saying that I will even do extra work. I figured, 'look, why not have her come down and be an extra. And that way, at the same time, she could meet with Cash Markman and possibly get some future work.'

"She came down to the set. Was there an hour and the job was over. She leaned over to me, and said, 'Steve, is there anything else I can do to get extra work.' I knew exactly what she was talking about. I didn't want to partake in it that way. Believe it or not, that is not the way I do things. Going back to Bill, or the pimp, I looked over at him and he did something that surprised me. He gave me the high sign, meaning go for it. So obviously this is something that turned him on as well.

"The reason I make a rule not to do this is because of its potential repercussions. This industry has all different kinds. The conservative, the liberal and the very very open minded. This Bill was very very open minded. Did World Modeling eventually get Annie work? Yes. Not because of any promises, but because eventually there's work for everyone. Sometimes things take time. But for this woman to blame everyone for her lack of work as well as lack of appearance is ludicrous."

Luke: "Annie says that World Modeling did not get her work because she would not sleep with Jim South?"

Steve: "I've known Jim South over twelve years. He and I have not always seen eye to eye. But then again in business that's common. In my opinion, Jim South makes mistakes. And I am sure, in his opinion, Steve Austin makes some mistakes. But I will go to the grave on this - Jim South does not sleep with his talent.

"When girls don't work, things are said that are vicious and are not true. But when we address these issues on a constant basis, and rebutt these accusations, it's not productive. When someone is mad at a situation, in this case not getting as much work as wanted, instead of reacting in a businesslike manner to make things more productive, I guess it is easier to blame others and to spread rumors.

"As we speak, Jim South and I are not doing business and are not seeing eye to eye. But to finalize this issue, Jim South does not sleep with the talent. And I used to see him more than his family did. I was like a son to him."

Luke: "Your accusers say that you are predatory, that you have used your position and influence to extract sex from gullible girls who hope to work."

Steve: "Working as an actor, producer and talent coordinator, all at the same time, can be dangerous. It opens you very easily to these types of accusations. Let me give you an example. When I worked at World Modeling, and was also a full time actor, Jim South and I had a rule. Unless it was an established girl in the industry, Jim South would always approach the young lady about working with Steve Austin to see if she was comfortable. To make sure that there would be no problems working with Steve… I thought this was valid and fair.

"When word got out to all the new people, who did not know that Steve Austin had been an actor in the industry for twelve years, problems could come up… It's easy for a girl not getting work to blame Steve Austin for that. Example, maybe you need to work with Steve Austin in a movie and he will get you work. Maybe you need to f--- Steve Austin, and then he'll get you work. "I can't control what people say. Most will blame others, because it is easier to do that than to take responsibility for their own life. There is no defending against that."

She has the power to use our name but she's still hiding behind the name Annie. If she's going to talk smack, she needs to identify herself. Anybody can print whatever they want to print about me, the bottom line is, when I worked over at World, I wasn't allowed to react or dispute what was written or what was said. Now I've got the opportunity to do that."

Greg Steel Update

Director Greg Steel and his ex-porn star wife Julie Rage now live in a suburb outside of Atlanta. Julie is five months pregnant with a boy. He writes to Luke: "Yes, Julie is pregnant with our first son to be Danny Ridley Steel due Jan 1st 2000. Dogs and Cats

Kendra Jade and Shelle Pearson, taking a break Tuesday evening from eating Fruity Pebbles, say the following emails that Luke received are totally false.

Email: "Hey, Lukey, From the rumour mill comes the story that your new girlfriend, Miss Jade, and her roommate, Shelle, moved from the apartment where they had not paid the rent. This after receiving a three day notice for non payment. But the bad thing was that they trashed the place, which is understandable if you ever saw how they lived. The really bad thing is they left behind three dogs and two cats, locked in the apartment without food or water. That is not right. Then they were bragging about it on the net. I think charges have been filed, but cannot confirm that.

"There was one cat hiding in a cupboard and one dog sitting outside the apartment, starving. I hear that they were taken away by Animal Control. The apartment is in shambles, with dog and cat s--- all over the place. The dogs almost ate through the door trying to get out. Should not happen to animals. Shelle says the dogs were Kendra's, but I know the cats belonged to Shelle.

"If you want to see if there was any animal abuse involved with Kendra and Shelly, why not call Animal Control for Panorama City area and ask if there was a call to go to 8341 Cedros, Apartment 6 ot 8, to pick up and take care of animals. According to neighbors, the stench was so bad that they could smell it throughout the units. Also according to neighbors, when the first girl moved in, (Shelly, I think) she had two cats, one of which kept running away and she would have to chase it, yelling at it. Then the other girl, (Kendra) moved in and they had dogs too. The one dog sat outside the door after someone broke into the apartment to let them out, when the girls would NOT go back to feed them. So, check with animal control and see who is telling lies about who."

Kendra: "It is Shelle's apartment in Shelle's name...I have nothing to do with that. I am not on the lease. So if it was trashed then that would be between Shelle and her landlord [Martin].

"According to Shelle's lawyer, Martin had no right to even enter the apartment. He did that today illegally."

Shelle: "This is nobody's business... It's between John, Martin and I. John guarantees my lease. So if Martin takes me to court over this, he's got to take John to court with me. And you don't charge your business partner with this. If he wants to take me to court, my family has lawyers on retainer and it is no big deal. I spoke to a lawyer on Saturday. And he told me that all he can do is give me a three day notice, then file an illegal detainer...And then he can file for eviction. And he can't enter my house without giving notice to John and I. They have to let me know that they are entering my house.

"As soon as I get my stuff out, I will clean my apartment. If the apartment has been trashed, it will be cleaned up... I am responsible. There are no cats there. There is one dog. We stop by there all the time to make sure she [dog] is ok. At least twice a day. Martin sent animal control over to get the dog.

"They can basically blow me. Both of them can blow me. It is all ridiculous."

Shelle says that John Bowen owes her about $2500 though Bowen, according to Shelle, would place the figure at closer to $1600.

"Who cares about how me and Kendra live," asks Shelle. "Me and Kendra could live out of a cart and it is nobody's business."

Kendra in the background: "And I didn't even live there half the time."

Shelle: "Kendra came and she would stay for a while and she would leave her stuff there while she lived with her uncle and her boyfriends, and her mother... And it is none of John's business what we do. I showed up for work almost every day and that is all he needs to know.

"I've worked for John since January 11. He was supposed to take care of me and he never did. It's the same deal as with Kendra. Come out here, I'll take care of you. Dutch porn journalist Clifford Cremer writes about the new porn star from Holland.

She's only in the jizz-bizz for about one and a half year, but already Kate More, from Rotterdam, has won three major European awards: the Felix Award in Brussels for Best European Actress and Best European Newcomber and the prestigious Hot D'Or award in Cannes for Best European Newcomber. And this summer she will be Penthouse Pet of the Month in the US edition of Penthouse.

Kate More was born in 1977 in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, where she still lives with her boyfriend. She started out as a model fairly young and became a 'house-dancer' (which in Europe means being a feature dancer at a techno-party) for the Dutch hardcore 'gabba' band Rotterdam Terror Corps ('Gabba' being the Anglosaxon translation of 'Gabber', a very loud techno music style with 180 Beats Per Minute or more). In this way she could be seen often in techno-magazines throughout Holland, Belgium and Germany.

Kate, tell us about your background please

When I was 16 is started to do modelling jobs, mainly posing nude for amateur photographers. Through that work, I made a lot of contacts with professional model agencies. I did some covers for CD-Roms and music CD's. I started stripping when I was 18. I love to dance and love to go out. One day I was competing in a miss wet t-shirt contest in a club here in Rotterdam. The owner of the club at the time was looking for strippers. When he saw my performance in the contest, he asked me if I would do a striptease at a bachelors party. I didn't have any experience at all, still decided to do it. I went to that party and just watched the stripper before me doing her show and copied it. I was a bit nervous beforehand, but when I started dancing all that fell off me. I stayed in Barcelona for ten days and did so many scenes I lost count. I had to work every single day, from 8 in the morning till sometimes one o'clock in the night.

How was the experience to work with Private?

Well, I was a bit surprised that everything seemed so unorganized. I had to share a hotelroom with two Hungarian girls who didn't speak a single word English or German, so there was no communication at all. Afterward I never heard anything from them again, they didn't even send me the video's.

Did you ever had sex with girls before?

Oh yes, I don't have any objections to that. When I go out and become a bit tipsy, I always look at other girls. One time I started dancing with a unknown girl on the dancefloor. Yes, I was chosen as Best European Newcomber of the year. I was in Cannes with Marc Dorcel, one of France's biggest producers and distributors. I knew I was nominated, but never expected to win. I thought the award would go to Katja Kean. The Best Actress award went to Dolly Golden, from France.

How many films did you do so far?

About 25 I think. There will be some new productions out soon. I did some video's with Vivid and Sin City, in the US. In july my newest film with Helen Duval will be out.

What's the best film you made so far?

I haven't seen any of my US films so far, so for now that would have to be 'La Marionette', a French production. In it I play a marionette who comes to life. It's a beautiful film, with lots of costumes and nice surroundings.

With whom did you work in the States?

Vivid of course, and Sin City. Also New Sensations, Evil Angel and Elegant Angel. I worked with Peter North, Mark Davis and Jill Kelly. I just came back from the States, where I did a photoshoot for Penthouse.
