Hot D'Or Corruption

Ramsey writes on RAME: "Let’s face it, the 8th Annual Hot D’Or 1999 was nothing but corruption and a big joke. I mean the winners they chose we’re all related to Marc Dorcel and his company. Marc Dorcel beating Pierre Woodman for Best European Movie, no way, Pierre is the best European director around and his movies are so much better than the ones from Marc Dorcel. Jill Kelly and Mark Davis won the Best American Actress and Actor awards, both from a Wicked-movie, well Wicked is distributed by Video Marc Dorcel in France! Flashpoint won the Best American Movie award, comes as no surprise because it’s a Wicked-movie. Than Jenna Jameson got some kind of Lifetime achievement Award, again a Wicked-girl. And how about Jewel D’Nyle beating Alisha Klass for the Best New American starlet awards, talk about a big joke, everybody knows only Alisha deserved the award more than anybody. Marc Dorcel and his Wicked connection we’re the big winners, not because they are so good but because they aren’t but because of a corrupted organisation called Hot Video. What’s the point of holding these awards when everybody is corrupted and can’t give the awards to the ones who really desereves them? I thought only the AVN-Awards we’re corrupted, but I was wrong."

A History of X Hits Shelves

Luke's forthcoming book A HISTORY OF X: 100 Years of Sex in Film has returned from the printer. It will be available in stores June 15th. About 300 review copies are now making their way to various media. Those eligible for a review copy can call Prometheus Books at 716-691-0133 ext. 219.

Forbes Buys Porn Propaganda

Mainstream media have been yowling about porno going mainstream since 1972, when Deep Throat led porn into pop culture. Latest example is the 6/14 Forbes which runs the headline "Porn goes public… High technology and high finance are making the smut business look legitimate. How did this happen?"

Some of the reason belongs to the slack sloppy reporting of the mainstream press who do not stay around long enough on any porn story to dig deep. Instead they generally accept at face value what the porners tell them. Richard C. Morais's article is no exception. Let's begin with Private.

Most knowledgeable porners are well aware of the appalling practices of this Barcelona, Spain based company which works actively with organized crime around the world and is rumored to have links with international drug smuggling. But you won't find a word of this in the Forbes article. Instead the magazine lets Private's Berth Milton (50% owner and chair of Private Media Group, listed on stock markets in the US and Europe) get away with claiming, "The era of paying cash under the table is over." What utter nonsense! How do you think Pierre Woodman gets to shoot so many new hot babes in exotic locations? By paying off the local mafia. And not with checks.

Email: "Do you have one single shred of evidence to support this outrageous accusation apart from the NECESSARY practices needed by anyone who shoots a lot in Eastern Europe? Berth Milton involved with international drug smuggling?.......Have you gone insane? Do not confuse necessary and common business practices with organized crime! Any company that wants to shoot in eastern Europe or have access to the latest and best new Euro talent must accomodate the business practices of the countries thay want to do business in.Unfortunately in eastern Europe what we might consider to be organized crime is in fact the mainstream business establisment... Easten European's in fact consider all of this normal business relations and think that western business is in fact crazy for its overegulation."

Luke: "Private's appalling practices and ties with organized crime are common knowledge among porn insiders."

Next Forbes gushes about Metro Global Media who also trades on Nasdaq. The company plead guilty in early 1997 to working with the Gambino crime family, though you won't find a mention of this in the Forbes article. Just that a company is listed on Nasdaq in no way makes a company legitimate. Plenty of businessmen, inside and outside of porn, are scum bags. Metro went public, like many porno companies, by buying a corporate shell account and taking it over from the inside.

Next Forbes discusses the supposed "category-killer" Castle Superstores Corporation which is no category killer in one traditional porno category - nonpayment of bills. The Taylor Coleman run corporation owes numerous porners tens of thousands of dollars and gets a zero on Luke's ethics rankings. "Investment banks are clawing down my door," Coleman tells the gullible Forbes. The magazine writes about Castle Superstores Corp: "No backroom cabins for perverts but bright lights, pleasant music, all aimed at luring women and couples into the store, not just the usual single men." Well, good luck, because porn remains and will always remain the fixation of single men, no matter what lights, music and whatnot you pipe in.

A sources writes Luke: "Forbes talks about Porn companies having trouble going public. Let you readers know that these companies CAN go public via a mechanism known as a reverse merger. Essentially, a public company (which is just a shell -- it has no existing business, holding company, etc...) can do a reverse merger with a porn company. The porn company merges into the shell and effectively takes over control of the shell.

"Inside sources say that Seth Warshavsky is NO WAY doing $100M in revenues and $35M in profit. Word is his books are cooked big time, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will never let him go public and they are having major fraud issues."

Interracial Porn

Luke says on the issues regarding interracial porn: "I am just sick of pussyfooting around on this issue to not say anything that could be construed as insensitive…"

Ultradamno responds on RAME: Poooooor baby, I feel so sorry for you actually having to concern yourself with not insulting and offending others as though you were just like every one else in the world. Don't you try to play the PC card here, I ain't havin' it. FYI, I am white, and I don't share your problem because I'm not a racist, and knowing that racism is wrong I find it rather easy to avoid getting myself into trouble through making ridiculous racial slurs, why does this present such a headache for you, Luke?

Why are simple, commonly agreed upon codes of common decency such an imposition to you? You, who appears on TV and pontificates on the effects of pornography on the performer's sense of "human dignity," but what of the effect on one's sense of "human dignity" caused by dehumanizing racial slurs? You're big on ethics and morality what's moral about degrading the status on the food chain of a vast group of people, what's ethical about claiming to not champion this kind of bigotry while it's flag is simultaneously waving in your hand. But, for the record I'm also sick of your pussyfooting around, pretending to be a journalist in order to disguise what increasingly appears to be a reactionary agenda.

Luke, are you suggesting that because black male performers discussed racism in the adult film industry (racism I believe you've indicated exists on your own site, I mean, unless you now deny the existence of such bias among producers, distributors, etc) that you, as a neurotically anti-PC right-wing crank are obligated to endorse pernicious, unsubstantiated racial slurs as a reasonable response? Luke F-rd are you out of your damn mind?

If you're going to say racist things or indicate empathy with the people whom you quote that do (while clearly indicating that you think they're right, not to mention telling the truth) then just come out with it, man, don't weazel around trying to tell me what you've said isn't what you've said and if it was, it wasn't what you meant. Just come out and declare yourself, at least then I could hold some small measure of respect for you sticking up for your unpopular ideas. As it stands I suspect you're just playing with offensive ideas and language to provoke the negative attention that you evidently feel validates you and/or your work. I think it's contemptible. Furthermore, I would like to mention that I take accusations of racism very seriously and do not throw such talk around lightly (this is yet another way I differ from you, Luke). If I found out that I was wrong about you on this score in my previous post I assure you I would feel terrible and would waste no time in posting an apology and retraction. Thank you for reaffirming my initial evaluation of your intent with your follow up.

Sillyperson writes on RAME: Black on black porn is generally lighthearted and relaxed, I watch both black and white porn and you rarely see girls gritting their teeth and trying to endure it the way you see in white porn when guys like T.T Boy go at it- See his performance in Starbangers with Tiffany Million if you need a refresher.

It is true that much of the black themed porn contains alot of stereotyping. But the "ultimate in degradation"?! A few guys saying Yo bitch, yes, but no more demeaning to women than Max Hardcore. Please stop pussyfooting around on this issue, since I would love to hear your true feelings about this. The lowest of the low comment seems to be particularly revealing, particularly since these are your own words not those of the actress.

As far as holding back, what negative repercussions are you afraid of? That your canadian masters will scold you? The only thing you have going for you is your honest, forthright reporting of the information that you receive. You have never held back from posting potentially controversial statements made by other people, so why not treat your own feelings the same way.

As far as Patrick Riley's comments about the direction of black-white porn is moving to, I admit that when I fantasize about a black woman it is generally in the context of me picking up a hooker and having a good time for only $50 bucks. I also enjoy movies that play on that fantasy, maybe it is because I can't see myself in a long term romantic relationship with a black woman or something. I don't know why and I can't afford expensive psychotherapy to analyze my feelings like certain internet reporters can.

I love to see big black guys with little white women, and although I have not seen "big Black monster dicks" I find the title highly appealing to the raincoater in me. I don't think that a desire to "punish" the girl is a factor for me, but instead I enjoy the fact that the girl is breaking alot of taboos and is enjoying it. I am a southerner living in Atlanta and the black-white thing to me shows that the girl is completely uninhibited and "thinking with her pussy" the same way I think with my dick."

After a year in therapy, Luke feels like quitting it and saving his money. Give Luke the Scoop on whether or not he should quit.

It has certainly helped Scoop get in touch with his feelings, which have been most turbulent during the www.l-keford.com site redesign (carried out by Luke's sponsor www.fantasticonline.com).

Luke received this fan mail: "why did you go and f--- up your site? > it was so good and functional before and now you got so much s--- and > your own existentially-posed photo and s---. > you f---. > you f---ed up a good thing. > damn you."

So far, the vote is four to two for Luke to quit therapy.

Harry advises: "You'll have to quit it at some point anyway. I bet no therapist is shooing a paying customer out, should you decide to return. Dunno about your case, though :)"

Sean says: "There's no "email to luke" link on your new site. Yes, it is a real pain in the ass that it takes so long to load. And your updates are noticibly slower to be posted than in the past. I think it does look beautiful now, and it's infinitely more professional looking. I kinda miss the down and dirty functionality of the old site, however. I thought you'd beeen shut down by lawsuits...

"I'm leaving for therapy in ten minutes, actually. I've been in and out of therapy for the last 8 years or so (I'm 29 now) I usually go for about a year or so then take 6 months or a year off then go back when I'm ready. I always know when its right to go back, and when I've quit, its been a relief cuz I didn't have anything else to talk about at that point. I suggest stopping until you feel that going back would be beneficial."

Eeee writes: "If you don't think it's doing something for you at present, then stop. Therapy seems (at least to me) to be useless unless you have specific goals you want to reach, and you're really ready to go after them. People often think that they're going to go through some great cathartic session that will fix them all up, like in the movies. In reality, it's work - hard, nasty work. When you're ready, and you need it, then you'll go to therapy.

"Those of us who have read the website content can speculate upon some of the issues that you might want to focus on , so that's a start. I'd initially recommend trying to determine which of those behaviors that you've discussed - both online and in private - are sufficiently weird (in your opinion) to warrant further reflection. Then decide on course of action for each of them. I don't mean you treat it like a shopping list; you have to be honest about everything and determined to deal with it. For specific ailments like an anxiety disorder or depression, there are treatments, drugs, etc. In general, however, your solution is most likely going to be revolve around finding the means to maintain a reasonably-healthy day-to-day lifestyle, while working to put (all of) the circumstances of your (entire) life into the proper (healthy) perspective. It's slow but it seems to work."

A porner has lectured Luke that he needs to stop buffing vulnerable porn chicks.

Contrary to rumor, Kendra Jade is not working nor has ever worked for the escort service www.nicisgirls.com.

Jade says: "I shot the Sopornos [VCA] today with Jimmy Digiorgio and Rob Spallone. It was awesome. So much fun those two are! We will be shooting the best stuff tomorrow."

Luis Cypher, hubby to Extreme Associates star Jessica Darlin, writes to Luke: "i really did enjoy the way you posted what i had said.you made it look very attractive.one thing though....everything i ever wrote to torris was in a direct response to insults he was making about me or my wife.i never claimed to be speaking for extreme associates and want to express loudly that I'm in no way a representative of extreme.i consider myself to be friends with rob and few others at extreme but they have a business to run.this has nothing to do with extreme! they're gone on business and have no idea of anything I've said.no matter the lies you've heard about extreme they wouldn't endorse the things I've said and done in my life.i guess I'm even extreme when it comes to extreme.again, this was all personal.the way you have it set up on your site looks like i kept writing him over and over in response to a review he made. it also looks like i was attacking others besides him. It was him and his kind only! First of all it was in direct response to an outlandish rude comment that Jessica had read.It wasn't a bad review it was just slander! I'll give him one little tiny bit of credit when it comes to exposing how upset i am.the thing is that what was said between me and him was personal and i won't post the f---ed up things he said about my wife for that reason.if anyone thinks i was out of line because i was defending a girl who did porn lets put it in a different light.i hope to god that none of you under any circumstance would let anyone say damaging things about someone you care about let alone a woman.these girls fully choose the job their doing under whatever circumstance and unless you know them personally the proper thing to do would be speak of them as a lady.no matter what they do for a living they deserve it!"

Luke got this fax: "Your article mentions Tito Ortiz of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Well, Tito is going to fight Frank Shamrock in September, 1999, and Frank will kick his ass. So Jessica's hubby should keep his mouth shut."

Teena Touch Says

I am writing in response to your online article entitled: "AVN Rips Off Talking Blue Site Design?" from June 1, 1999. I am indeed the former Internet and Technology Editor of Adult Video News, but the scandal that you insinuate in your "gossip column" is assuming. Let's get a few things straight:

When I started with AVN in March of 1998, I was asked to look at the TalkingBlue.com website by Gene Ross for a possible feature article. I was never informed of any promised favors or any special treatment. At any rate, my opinion was that both the Website and the video sent to me were mediocre, and contained nothing that we needed to cover. Nonetheless, I believe that AVN ran a short piece on TalkingBlue.com in a spring or summer issue, but if I remember correctly, that was shortly after AVNOnline.com was born.

It is stated in your online article that, "Everyday we had fresh photos and news, much like you do. At the time AVN still had a VERY boring monthly site, and only monthly articles that has a head story, a couple of reviews and that's it." This is simply not true. The TalkingBlue.com website had the same photos, news and features posted for the entire three months that I spent at AVN. I know for a fact that AVNOnline had made plans to renovate the site to include daily stories, etc. BEFORE TalkingBlue.com was placed on my editorial plate.

I was fired from AVN in June of 1998 because "my writing style did not match that of the AVN standard." I know nothing of a connection between TalkingBlue.com and AVNOnline. I highly doubt there is a connection at all. I simply did not mesh with the editorial style of AVN; it really had nothing to do with "hiding" or concealing of any duplication of materials of TalkingBlue.com on the AVN website. Let's put it this way: I would be very surprised to find that I was fired from AVN because Paul Fishbein wanted to steal TalkingBlue.com's format.

AVN has not hired me back under any capacity as of today, June 3, 1999. Before you print something, check your facts next time, Mr. Ford. [In its typically gutless style, AVN ran Teena's letter but edited out all mention of me or of my site. Gene Ross simply refers to "another internet site." I've heard that Gene has been told by Paul Fishbein to not mention my name on his site.]

James Bonn Interview

Luke talked on the phone Tuesday night 6/1/99 with male performer James Bonn. The last time I talked with him, at Reb Sawitz's office in the summer of 1998, he told me what a jerk Sin City director Kris Kramski was. Now James has changed his tune, upon completing his second Kramski feature, Chloe: A Day at the Beach.

"If this isn't as highly ranked as Models, something went wrong," said Bonn. "He called me just a couple of days ago to say how great it looked, and how well I did. He didn't need to call me. He just got all this exuberance from editing it. He told me tonight that on every take, I had the continuity down. In this industry, most people say, 'you suck, you suck, you suck.' Most everyone has an attitude problem. Kris is just the nicest person, and he knows he can produce the best stuff this industry has ever seen.

"I turned down several movie offers from Kris because I wasn't secure about working with him. He wanted me to go to Barbados… When you work for him, you feel like you are doing something important. People on set look at me and say, 'this guy can act. He takes care of himself. He shows up on time.' And they have respect for you.

"While many [porn] directors will look at you and think, 'I can't get my dick hard and I hate your f---ing guts.' And you leave their set feeling like you just f---ed their sister. Most people in this industry are talentless boobs who are threatened by you. And they make crappy product.

"Many people ask me, 'why are you doing this [porno]?' It's not by choice [mainstream isn't knocking on Jim's door]. Why can't we make good porno movies now with people like me? Good films that just happen to have sex in them? We've got the horses now. And socially we're more open to it than ever. Nobody cares that President Clinton was getting blowjobs."

Luke: "What are you doing in this industry?"

James: "Just farting around. I had the opportunity to fulfill every guy's fantasy… In reality, it really sucks the big whazoo half the time… I met a number of people in the industry at the beginning who pissed me off so bad that I decided 'I'm not going to fail, and let you people think you're right.' And I just crammed it down their throat. I think winning two awards for two movies the first year out is good cramming down the throat.

"I was just talking with Fred Lincoln who is one of the sweetest people. And I want to work for him constantly but I never can because the evil empire at VCA don't like me and won't hire me. Lincoln has been in the industry for 25 years and he still has to go up to these young punks and prove himself. You can win awards in this industry and they still don't know who you are and they treat you disrespectfully. There are just so many people flying through this industry that nobody knows who anybody is.

"I don't want to work with assholes. I want to leave a set, and say, 'that was the greatest set. I had so much fun.' I can always give a great performance, I only need one thing - TIME. I happen to be, at this time, the best actor in the industry.

"When you get into the industry, they let you know that [as a male performer] you have to be hard all the time, you have to be a machine, you have to be incredible… Once you're in the industry, they realize the human side of being a male porn star and they realize that sometimes it's hot and sometimes it's cold. And if it is a tough scene, they give you extra time. But they play such a mindf--- on the new guys. If you can't get wood in two minutes, you're f---ed. Yet, once you're in and established, like I am now, you get almost nothing but respect. They know that this guy has won awards, and that if he f---s up on a set, it is a reflection on us, not on him. If we create a harsh or hostile or annoying environment, things are not going to go well.

"I remember this dickhead at New Sensations who pulled that s---. I like Jim Lane [at Notorious], but he treats people like s--- sometimes. The last one I did for him, I was doing a scene with the most beautiful girl you've ever seen, Erica Bella, and he has me jerking off into a water bottle, and the cum is to drip onto her face. I turned to Jim and said, 'I can't come like this. I'm looking at a f---ing plastic thing and there's a beautiful girl here.'

"Who the hell would want to watch this? She is gorgeous. It's downright disrespectful to the girl and to the medium itself. I'd like to find people who have a fetish to come into a container and have it drip into the girl's mouth. I know there are people who are into boobs or feet or asses, but who is into coming into plastic containers?

"I've never had a good experience with Wicked Pictures, which is sad because I think that we would be a wonderful team. I don't want to make any enemies in this industry but I've heard many times from other people that they are first class s---heads. Jim Enright is one of the biggest assholes I've ever met, and that is not just my opinion.

"I did my first movie for Jim and Wicked. I was coming into the industry with this new girl, Juliette Carlton, and they all wanted to sweep me aside so they could f--- her. It made me sick to my stomach. Here was Peter North angling in… They can't wait till I fail so that they can jump on the girl, Peter, you've only f---ed 10,000 girls? Gluttony is an ugly trait. I just did this brilliant film for Vivid, Seven Deadly Sins. And I found that very greedy that a number of these porn guys were stomping around, they couldn't wait… And we had a problem because Juliette had said, 'f--- you, I do him and I do him only.' That bent them out of shape and they made it extremely difficult for me.

"They didn't do it overtly. They did it kindly and nicely, but I'm not stupid. It was at Bobby Gallagher's studios. The entire set was surrounded by people, for my first scene. Is that the proper way to handle new talent? I had raging great wood and they give me this bulls---, 'we're not ready, our camera is broken…' What they didn't know was that somebody behind the scenes was a friend of mine. And he told me afterwards, 'Jim, you were set up a week in advance.' I can't understand that mentality.

"They all do it to new male talent. I don't know how I ever got to the point where I am semi-established. And this industry is so filled with snappy stupid gossip that it is just terrifying."

Luke: "How do you get most of your work?"

James: "I have no clue. You do great work for people. They say that they love you. You win awards for them… I was supposed to be in Paul Thomas's film today. I call up Catherine [PT's set manager] a few weeks ago, 'I understand that Rene LaRue is going to be in this new film… Put us together…' I called today and they are already in production. I called, 'what's going on? This is not kosher. I won you guys an award.' And PT only maintains that he loves me… And they forgot about me. I felt portrayed. PT says that he forgot… And Catherine bitched at me, 'don't bitch at us. We're the employer.' I didn't think I left a mean spirited message. And this is the second time Vivid has done this to me.

"Some of these people act like you can't talk with the director, you have to talk to the flunkie below him… I don't play that s--- for a second. If I can't communicate with the director, I won't even work for you.

"I don't associate with anyone in the industry and not that many people without… Who does that leave me?

"I was on set with Nina Hartley and Tony Tedeschi in this Bob Chinn movie. Tony says that girls come up to him and say, 'oh, you're so hot. I want to have sex with you.' I was stunned. A mere mortal came up to you and wanted to f--- you… I've found that being in this industry is like leprosy.

"In my first year in the business, I asked out almost every costar. Guys get into the industry because they want sex. Girls get into it because they want money.

And I've met no female who wants to hang out with me. Most porn girls seem to hang out with loser boyfriends, the guy still struggling to get into a rock band, and sucks all the money out of her. Nobody seems to want a nice stable guy who has his own place and can cook and clean…

"Los Angeles is filled with hookers who are just looking to get ahead. I don't mean that in a mean way. But if you're young and beautiful and in town like this, 'hey, I've got it coming to me. I'm f---ing hot. I know that my tits and my legs are worth money, hard cold cash.' They're not going to hang out with a guy who doesn't have the pocketbook, the power and the prestige… I've got no problem with that, it's biological, it's evolution, but I can't fit that bill.

"I was on the set with Naomi, who I think is adorable. And she's staring at me. I said, 'what are you staring at?' She said, 'your chest.' I said, 'what's wrong with it?' 'Nothing, it's gorgeous.'

"I've never had women compliment me. Or pay any attention to me. I freaked out. She said, 'what is the matter?' I said, 'this is very unusual for me because I am not very attractive to women.' She's like, 'what are you, insane?' And I said, 'I don't have a very big wallet. I'm just not very attractive to women.'

"Don't get me wrong. If any girl reads this and is the opposite, that is the type that I'd like to meet. I love that too when you say this and girls say, 'I am not a whore.' Well, I'm not talking about you then, am I? Why are you getting defensive?

"I remember talking at a gym with a lawyer friend of mine. And he said, 'LA is not the place for romance. This is a work town.' And he's right, especially if you're an actress or a model. You will want the guy who can get you the next step, a producer. Then you can leave him and springboard to the next one."

Luke: "What about civilian girls? How do they feel when they find out that you are a porn star?"

James: "They don't. I don't go that far with them. I meet you at a bar. Your name is Lucinda. 'Hi Lucinda, my name is Jim. Oh, by the way, I have herpes.' You don't reveal sexual secrets to someone immediately. I would tell the truth, 'I do films, I do acting and I work as a trainer.' What am I going to do? Take her out to dinner ten times, spin my wheels and then let her find out I do porn films. It won't work. The girl is going to say no and I've wasted all that time and effort.

"Why should I leave this industry? I did a commercial last year and I book anything outside the industry that I can. But I can't quit the [porn] industry to concentrate on mainstream acting. That is foolish. The porn industry calls me two or three times a week to work and mainstream doesn't. If the phone rings, I am not going to turn a job down.

"But principally, I am in this industry because I believe in the genre. It's obviously a necessity that has been around for decades. I've always enjoyed high quality adult films with gorgeous women and beautiful shots. I started in Playboy videos [1994]. And they really have it all over this industry. They know how to set up a shot and back light it and use a reflective light and they have beautifully warm sets that make people look great. I'd love to have our industry do that.

"I could retire tomorrow. I've made a classic, Models. That's all I've wanted to do. "I love Janey Hamilton but she can't hire me because VCA only hires guys who use condoms and shoot up their dick. Every guy I've worked with in a VCA film, he's an injector. It's the only way they can work [with condoms]. They ostracize men who aren't condom only but if guys inject their dicks and put holes in the side of their penis, that's ok.

"Janey and I talked about the [1998] AVN Award show. The outside people are not going to respect our industry until we respect ourselves. And we're not going to garner respect by getting up on stage [like Alyssa Klass] and say 's---, piss, f---, f--- me up the ass, bunghole me, and I want to come on your face,' on a stage. I talked to so many people in the industry and they all agreed that there is nothing sexier than a well dressed female who acts like a lady. She doesn't sit there and open her legs and finger her twat and go "whaaaa, I want you to come on my face, yeahhhh.'

"As Janey said, it's the little wink of the eye, letting you know that I do everything. But you're not going to know it today because I happen to be a lady. You will have to see my movies.

"Discrete is a wonderful word. It is what creates a more polite and humane civilization. Everyone in the industry was appalled by the AVN show. There were way too many swear words. It wasn't the place to sell buttf---ing videos.

"But what do I know? I'm just a newcomer. And with the way things are going, it doesn't appear that they want to know anything about me either.

"If you knew a girl had AIDS, would you f--- her with a condom?"

Luke: "I wouldn't f--- her."

James: "Then what are you using a condom for. And if she doesn't have AIDS, why would you want to use a condom? I'd like to start a program called "Safer Sex." Safe Sex has been a failure. Condoms are a 2000 year old invention. I want to go off today's technology. I get tested almost every month for everything. That is safer sex. I don't have anything. And I can prove it. And that sends a better message to America…"

Male performer James Bonn says: "I just did a non-condom scene with Chloe for Kris Kramski. She didn't want to do it [a non-condom scene] but she did it because she realized it would be a great film. I got tested for everything so that she knew she would be comfy… And she said, 'Jim, do you know how many times I've had Chlamydia in the last year? I always insist on a condom, so it's all coming from the girls.'

"I know that males sitting at home jerking off don't want to see a goddamn baggie on a guy's dick. It doesn't film well and it sends the wrong message. Safer sex is knowing your partner…"

Luke: "How many women have you slept with in the last two years?"

James: "I guess a new partner every week. Some guys do a thousand new girls a year. I guess I'm relegated to movies where they feel they need an actor. Otherwise nobody hires me."

Luke: "What about outside the industry?"

James: "None. I have no interest… Go home with some girl and she says that she won't f--- me unless I wear a condom. You tell me to wear a condom in my own f---ing home, I'm insulted. What are they really saying? They're saying I have something [a disease].

"I'd rather jerk off and look at a Playboy than f--- a girl with a condom.

"VCA insists on using condom-only performers. They depend on the injectors. Michael Ninn doesn't know how to film anything but a rock hard penis for four hours. He needs that window of opportunity.

"Janey said, 'Ginger Lynn is making a comeback, do you work with condoms?' I said I wasn't condom only, so she said, 'how would you like to just do dialogue?' I said no. I was insulted. Ginger Lynn! Ginger Lynn who f---ed John Holmes who did die of AIDS and they're questioning me? Some old porn chick who's been around for 20 years and they are questioning me? For her? I know I take good care of myself… You would've had your dander up too. f--- you! And I love Jane Hamilton. I just wish that I could have a liason like that to hire me.

"I've never done a scene with a black girl. I just don't find them attractive. A few I do, like Naomi. I was asked to do African-American videos and I said, 'you will have to pick the girls I find attractive.' I would never do orientals ever, until I met Juliette Carlton. It all depends on what you bump into…but I just don't find black girls attractive. Though I'm often hard pressed to find anyone I find attractive. I end up just doing them for the money."

A friend of Jim's told Luke late Thursday: "Someone tried to hire Jim today, then backed off because "they'd never heard of him". With 2 awards! I was mean and faxed them over this glowing article about him holding his trophy from AVN, with the note, "well someone's heard of him . :-) "

Pat Riley writes on rec.arts.movies.erotica newsgroup:

I watch lots of black porn and as a general statement the scenes comes far closer to the ideal (my ideal anyway) of a loving caring coupling than most of white porn. Just where are the black Max Hardcore's and black Rocco Siffredi's? Where's the black Al Borda calling the girl a dumb slut? Where's the black Jack Hammer shoving the black Christgen Wolf's head down the toilet while he buttf---s her? Where's the black guys spitting in the girl's face? In
fact where are the copious facials in black porn?

In contrast most of the scenes in Black Cheerleader Search, to take the example quoted on your website, appear to be fun experiences with the couples laughing and joking--the girl giggling when Bookbag unleashes his torrent of cum, or Mr Marcus taking a tour of Nate's backyard hand in hand with a nude Caramel. Even garbage series like Black Knockers might be collections of perfunctory scenes but the guys never seem to be "taking it out" on the girls.

I've asked several times on this NG about why this apparent disparity with white porn and based on the replies and further contemplation, I believe that:

- black women are stronger on average than their white sisters both in regular society and in the porn subset. They won't put up "with that s---" (the degrading aspects).

- black males are more respectful of black females than of white females and more respectful of black females than white males are of white females. All of this is "on average"; I'm sure you can find instances where this is not the case.

- black males and females have a more earthy or pragmatic view of sex. As David Christopher said, "It's the pussy, man". There's no desire to punish the female because both parties accept that the male needs sex and it's the female's role to provide it. I suspect, although have no way of proving it, that black males get more sex in real life than an equivalent subset of white males.

However, all that I've been talking about above is black on black porn. When the subject changes to black on white porn there seems to be a different dynamic at work. Although there aren't any equivalents to Max Hardcore molesting the little white girl we're moving in that direction, mirroring the obsessions of some of the (presumably) black posters here [rec.arts.movies.erotica newsgroup] who are constantly worried about whether a particular white porn girl has done a black guy. Despite denials and ignoring Mike Paul's affirmative action crusade, much of this seems to stem from a desire to punish rather than any inability to fantasize about screwing the girl when the dick isn't black.

A case in point is the recent "Little White Chicks...Big Black Monster Dicks" from the oft-quoted in Luke's article Jake Steed. To save me typing in a whole lot of commentary, I'll just post the review:

Little White Chicks...Big Black Monster Dicks
1999--Jake Steed Product.
Producer/Director: A. Trublackman
Featuring: Chantay, Kayla, Blair Segall, Molina, Melody Love, Jake Steed, Byron Long, Lexington Steele, Mark Anthony

This is obviously catering to the black audience who feel slighted that they have to make do with black women. There's even a disclaimer up front to tell you that everything is fiction and the author (Jake Steed) doesn't mean to attack any racial group.

Bulls---! There's a scene here where three big--oh, yes, truth in advertising there--black guys gather round little white Kayla and play the race card, saying that the reason she won't do black guys is discrimination. Later when she's doing a four way with them she actually says that she can't take Lexington because he's too big. She does though, with lots of straining. I suppose if you're black and you get off on the idea of "ripping the white bitches open" the movie will provide some satisfaction but I found the whole idea offensive.

Ignoring those overtones which is pretty hard because there's a background rap that starts up from time to time talking about how these girls should be frightened of "big black monster dicks", there are five scenes with a couple of cute girls.

Chantay is bouncing a basketball along the street when it goes over the fence into Jake's place. He's lounging in the hot tub and invites her to join him which she does. They screw including an anal (he only gets the tip in) ending in a copious facial. Chantay has a gorgeous face but her best asset is her smile and she doesn't smile too much here. She also looks like she's putting on weight.

Byron and Jake are out cruising in a car and pick up Kayla (see {18 And Nasty #8}) under the pretext of taking her home. They stop off at Lexington's first and do a four way ending in facials.

Byron checks out a sleeping Blair and awakens her with his dick in close proximity to her mouth. She doesn't scream, just sucks, and then they screw ending in a facial. Blair looks unkempt and has her hair dyed a nasty shade of red and formed into two pigtails--very unbecoming.

Molina (see {Perverted Stories #19}) with black hair here calls on an unknown older black male who pretends to be a casting agent. She says she'll do anything for the part so he, Byron, and Jake share her including an anal by Jake ending in facials. She sounds in pain.

Melody is dressed in a cheerleading outfit and dances in the back yard while Jake and Mark Anthony (I think) observe from behind a stone wall. They join her for a three way ending in facials.

No condoms were seen. Date of production: 4/9/99.

The movie is not erotic despite the cute girls, and garnered one of my few BAD's which are usually reserved for compilations being passed off as feature films although "Kid Vegas: Whoremaster" got a BAD the other day. Maybe movies are just getting worse (is that possible?).

You'll also notice that the credited director is not Jake Steed but "A. Trublackman". Does that mean true black men get off on punishing little white girls?

Oh, yes, it's only fantasy and all the girls consented I'm sure but unless the porno industry has started making unsaleable vanity productions, there's an audience for this tape. It's the audience that worries me.

Meet Your New Bosses

Two recent defectors from the Free Speech Coalition's operating team, VCA owner Russ Hampshire and ex-Insurance commissioner Greg Zeboray have gone into business together. Russ has bought half of Zeboray's business PC Cast & Crew which offers porn shooters insurance policies (health, production, workers companesation, etc).

PC Cast & Crew has assumed the Maxicare and Delta health insurance plans formerly offered through the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), and - thanks to a partnership with Russ Hampshire - PC Crew has purchased a production insurance package identical to the one formerly offered through the FSC. "There will be no change in any of the insurance programs, from coverage to price, with the exception of FSC membership, which is no longer required to participate.
However, I remain a supporter of the FSC," says Zeboray.

Greg's battle with Sharon Mitchell's AIM clinic and the FSC board is covered in the May issue of AVN.

"Russ invested a large chunk of change into PC Cast & Crew, and I am really honored that our relationship (and his faith in me) is so good that he would willingly and eagerly hand me that kind of money," says Zeboray.

"The response to PC Cast & Crew has been great. I expect that before long, we will "employ" many of the talent. So it makes sense to tie the insurance into the same group they will be "employed" by."
