Jenteal writes about the hacking of her site www.jenteal.net: "Someone did hack it. Twice. They replaced the home page with a page of Bible quotes promising sinners would burn in hell. At the bottom they provided a link back to my site in case "you still wish to enter and sin" or something like that. They did it on Monday and we caught it right away. We changed all our passwords and put tracers on my server along with other security stuff. I wrote in my journal on my pay site about it. I mentioned the hacker looked around my site a lot, so they probably tossed a few off themselves before they posted the bible page. Then yesterday they accessed my server again (with my new passwords) and posted it again. Now we can follow the hack since we added the traces and we know the exact time they entered my server. I think it is funny as hell. It is like the guys that come into clubs that I dance in, watch my show (some even tip me), then they hand me a book or pamphlet that says "Save Yourself Now, God Loves Sinners Too." Get real! A sin is a sin, and if it is a sin for me to take my clothes off, then it is a sin for you to watch me do it!"

Luke: "Yeah baby."

AVN Twists and Turns in the Hurricane of Truth

AVN's Gene Ross spends about 20 paragraphs defending himself on www.geneross.com. But the text reads more like a resignation speech. Meanwhile, AVN publisher Paul Fishbein is racking his brains trying to figure out how he can fire Gene without Gene then giving up the truth about the AVN Awards and other shennanigans around AVN that directly or indirectly implicate Fishbein. The whole rotting edifice of Adult Video News may come tumbling down, and with it the den of vipers they've been protecting.

Shaye writes: "It has come to my attention that some people didn't really understand our somewhat jumbled instant message conversation, and I wondered if you would mind if I kinda wrote out exactly what I know. Gene [Ross] was there for, and participated in the direction of Too Hot For Porn 2 and in writing the script. Also, [Gene] came up with the idea of the Wrestling movie [for John Bone's Cream Entertainment], but I was not there
for the work on that or the script or anything, so I guess I can't really
vouch for that one. Besides that, what I told you before, [Gene Ross] just giving John "tips" so to speak, on box covers and storylines."

Altakaka (yiddish for old man) writes: "Oy, Lukey! You need to schmooze the bubey, Mitchell Spinelli about Gene's scripts under the name W. Bozley DeLongpre. The first movies put out with that name were Gene's scripts, but later Mitchell appropriated the name (which, as I recall straight from Gene's lips, irritated the s--- out of him!) I have a copy of one of these scripts... I'll dig through my garage... That gentile lawyer lady of AVN's is a real piece of work, I tell you! A lawyer kvetching about corruption...lawyers should know from corruption...they invented it! Shalom."

Lynne L-patin writes:

Parliament and Gourmet rarely advertised in AVN....they were locked into their distribution system and didn't see what AVN could do for them, especially when they got free ads in all their own s---ty magazines.

It used to be that you could trade tapes for ad space. That was very cool, and made a significant difference in a breakeven for a low budget tape. We were still doing this as late as 1994.

The single biggest thing to remember about AVN reviews is that, almost without exception, the magazine receives the tapes at the same time the distributors and stores do. It then takes months for the magazine to be printed. Therefore, it stands to reason, the reviews do not affect how many copies of the tapes are sold.

In September 1994, after Bruce had been laid off from Gourmet, we took on the assignment of writing video reviews for AVN. We wrote ALL (Bruce's emphasis) the reviews as a team using the name "Bruce Walker," because we got paid twice as much as anyone.

By this time the reviewing method was as follows: Tapes, stripped of their boxes came in groups of ten. They would have preferred Bruce come into the office to pick them up, but they were willing to send them to Arkansas where we'd relocated. Basically, the tapes are assigned at random and information pertaining to the tape is limited to what's on the label and on the videotape.

Obviously, for big titles, this isn't the way it works. But all the other stuff is thrown into the hopper, with some attempt made to steer things toward people who will appreciate the material rather than not.

The first month we wrote ten reviews and were very happy. The second month we wrote ten reviews, some of them in a hotel room on the road to Arkansas with my full size 386. But the third month never happened. Gene refused to take Bruce's calls and never sent any more tapes. (This really hurt, because we were counting on this income to help supplement whatever we could earn locally.)

It wasn't until we got the issue following the issue in which our last batch of reviews had appeared that we figured out what had happened.

For some whacky reason, the AVN powers that be sent Bruce an Ed Powers "Dirty Debutante Tape" and we watched it.

We didn't like it. That, in itself, wasn't unusual. We didn't like most of the videos we were sent, but this one particularly stuck out like protruding ears at military school. It had a bad opinion of women, for starters. What really pissed Lynne off was that, reading the women's lips, she realized that the producers were using music on the soundtrack to conceal the woman wanting to stop and complaining it hurt.

We wrote the reviews and assigned the stars. The reviews, seemingly unread, were pasted into the magazine.

After not being able to get hold of Gene for a month (I honestly can't remember speaking to Paul about it), we got the next issue of the magazine. The Dirty Debutante volume had been re-reviewed, favorably, of course.

We wouldn't have minded if they'd just told us not to do that, but they were very underhanded about it at a time when we were really strapped for cash.

We then go on to Marina Pacific Distributors, which puts out two lines of middling quality, B-line Italian stuff, gonzo and feature. If there could have been any way for us to affect those reviews, we would have done it. The reviews were, on the whole, pretty fair. The tapes sold 1,200 or so pieces regardless of how many stars they received, as the reviews came out two months AFTER we sold the tape.

Basically the gay is the same, except that the gays are treated as second class citizens even within the magazine. In our case, when we worked for Marina Pacific, it was our job to publicize any little thing we could create. But on our own....well, Mickey Skee is in love with Paul Barresi, which meant at the time that he couldn't say nice things about Bruce and Lynne because Paul would get angry. Paul has perfected a psychopathic routine that really scares timid faggots in general and Mickey in particular.

(Fortunately, when it comes to the gay video industry, AVN is completely irrelevant. Our gay movie, "Handsome Ransom," mentions the role "Adult Video Scoop" plays in the industry and since we can't expect you to watch the movie, the plot hinges on how "you can't believe what you read in "Adult Video Scoop.")

Now we get to Heatwave. If ever a man wanted to buy an award, it's Gabor. He doesn't have any problem with the idea of buying an award -- just give him an amount! If hiring hookers to blow Gene Ross is even rumored to work, you can be sure he's done it. He's famous for calling up AVN and ranting about the ratings the movies receive when he hasn't seen the movies. It never occurs to him to improve the movies, and he is offended when it is suggested.

In my role of photocopier girl, I photocopied scripts. Some of them were ostensibly written (or should I say over-written) by Gene Ross. Directors complain they are hard to shoot, and reviews for the videos end up spread out in random fashion in AVN. And they get three-and-a-half stars like anything else. I suppose it's now inflated to four-and-a-half stars...

From www.geneross.com:

Lynne L-patin, a former Heatwave employee, in an interview on another website, also implicates Gene Ross and Gabor from Heatwave in a sexual bribery/kickback scheme.

Gabor: "This is bulls---, of course. I had to let her [L-patin] go. [January or February 1998]. I had to let her husband Bruce go for the same thing, June of last year. They have a bone to pick with me. They always said they could do much better movies than Jim Powers. I let them direct something and it was a disaster. The editor was calling me and telling me this was missing and that was missing. This went on for two months. They didn't finish the movie. It was a gay movie called Handsome Ransome. It turned out pretty good. [According to Gabor, someone had to tidy up.]"

Lynne writes Luke: "We had two movies ruined by editors who communicated with the company rather than us, sometimes for the most petty of reasons. I did a movie for VCA based on the the job we did with our gay movie "Handsome Ransom," though unfortunately the editor chose not to include sound clean-up in his original job, so the sound sucks. Unless Gabor went in and re-edited the movie (which he has the legal right to do) it's all ours, or I should say mine: the editor tried to intimidate Bruce and foist an inferior product on him, and I went in and made him do it right.

"I hear there's a new review of the movie out in a certain magazine [AVN?] which I haven't seen. Being that it's that certain magazine, I wouldn't be surprised if they said Gabor directed "Handsome Ransom" with the help of a
homosexual monkey."

Jim Holliday Confirms He Bought Scripts From Ross

A furious Jim Holliday screamed into my phone at 4PM, Tuesday. "What the hell am I doing all over your website?"

Luke: "I heard some stories about Gene Ross selling scripts. And I heard that some were bought by you. I used your name Monday..."

Holliday: "Read it to me!"

Luke reads Jim the Scoop on Gene Ross and stories of AVN corruption and asks Jim for comment.

Jim: "It was one script, not three, you yoyo. And the dollar figure is wrong."

Luke: "I heard it was $300."

Jim: "No comment, but that's wrong. What's this s--- about me making outrageous comments about Gene and chicks?"

Luke: "I just read it to you. You're never quoted anywhere. It has nothing to do with you and Plush. It's about Gene and his exploits at Cream Entertainment.

"Now, is it true that Plush bought at least one script from Ross in 1994?"

Jim: "How the f--- did you find that out?"

Luke: "I told you at the XRCO [3/99] that I have sources."

Jim: "Well, it has to be one of only seven people and I intend to find out who."

Luke: "Good luck. What if one of those seven talked to other people, you know how the industry works."

Jim: "Better than anyone Luke, please keep me the hell out of this goddamn internet. I'm a quiet person and I value my privacy. And I'm as square as anyone. There ain't no controversy with me. I don't want to be involved in weird s---."

Luke: "Jim, let me set you straight buddy. I've known much of this for a long time..."

Jim: "Ten years ago I would've been dumb enough to threaten you but now I don't say s--- like that anymore."

Luke: "Is AVN corrupt?"

Jim: "All I have to say is, I've been writing for them for 15 years. And I don't know what you're talking about. But I do like Paul [Fishbein]. So leave me out of this stuff."

A calmer Holliday hangs up. But amidst his bluster, he confirmed that he did indeed buy a script from Gene Ross in 1994. This is years after Fishbein told Ross in Philadelphia (1987?) that if he continued to write scripts while working for AVN, he'd be fired.

On his 4/28 update, www.geneross.com caught a big Luke F-rd screw-up on my Update 4/23/99. I quote from Gene's site: "Jeff Wozniak [PR guy] of Sin City writes: "Gene, as I'm sure you're aware, Luke F-rd ran a piece from photographer Johnny Castano in his Friday, April 23, posting about meeting Shay Sweet and shooting her with her "scarred" boobs. Castano must be confusing Shay with another girl. His article is rife with inaccuracies. I asked Shay about each allegation in the article and she categorically denies all of them.""

Satire

Kid Vegas Spills All

From www.geneross.com: "Kid Vegas who tends to talk about himself in the third person is raging mad at a certain website writer for another story written about him. Kid Vegas: "I'm going to knock his f---ing teeth out. He didn't question me or quote me because I didn't meet him last night [Tuesday]. He's making up a bunch of allegations to try and get me to call his site and get me to talk. He's banned from Kid Vegas. Kid Vegas isn't allowed to talk to him anymore because of this type of nonsense saying he's quoting me making comments about certain people."

Luke made up the following. He never talked to Kid Vegas and was not even at the AIM fundraiser. But I did not mention that when I first ran with the piece. Bad ethics, bad journalism, huh?

Under the influence of a protein shake, I stumbled into the Dragonfly nightclub Tuesday evening for the AIM fundraiser. I saw Kid Vegas giving out free copies of his new movie The Whoremaster.

Kid Vegas: "I heard that you hacked Jenteal's website and replaced the contents with Bible verses?"

Luke: "Shhh, don't tell anyone."

Kid Vegas: "Christ, what a day. I sent a hooker over to Gene Ross at AVN with a copy of my new movie, hoping to get a Breakthrough Award, and she returned all black and blue. He'd smacked her around."

Luke: "Yeah, I believe it."

Kid Vegas: "I was so aggravated, and under the influence of codeine for my bad shoulder, I took some drugs and guns and went down to AVN. I blew past security right into Paul Fishbein's office and I caught him having sex with Jill Kelly, Chloe and Alisha Klass. Paul was fisting Alisha's ass and screaming, 'this will get you ready for mainstream.' And Jill was crying, 'I want that Female Performer of the Year Award.' And Chloe whimpered, 'I need some sleep.'

"I ran out and smacked straight into AVN VP Darren Roberts, who told me that he'd just f---ed Paul Fishbein up the ass, that he was a stooge for Vivid and VCA, and that he would be taking over at AVN. Then Mark Stone from Moonlight ran over me, muttering about how AVN needed to change the venue for the next awards show so that he could get a record contract.

"I fled to Vivid and burst in on Stevie Hirsch auditioning a new Vivid girl. I thought, Russ Hampshire is a man of integrity. So I went to VCA and got right in to see Russ. He offered me a suitcase of money to book a flight to Brazil with Patrick Collins to whack Walter Gernert.

"I thought, I need a lawyer. So I went to Jeffrey Douglas's office and I caught him in a compromising position with Free Speech Coalition lobbyist Kat Sunlove and director Candida Royalle.

"Back on Van Nuys Blvd, I saw David Sturman maneuvering a dolly loaded with gold bars. 'Where do you think you are, Zurich?' I yelled. 'Do you think you're back in 1974?' He good naturedly told me that he was only hiding his money at Jim South's World Modeling to avoid paying U.S. taxes. I told him, 'Next you'll marry one of your dad's old girlfriends, move to San Francisco and develop a drug problem.'

"Needing a strong man, I drove my tank to Rob Spallone's office but I couldn't get in to see him because he was meeting with Joe the Thumb and Larry Flynt about developing offshore accounts for money laundering. Thinking I was having a nervous collapse, I made an appointment with psychologist Dianne Kelly, who said she protected adult welfare. But I discovered her blowing Bill Margold which I did not think was professional.

"Then I find out that you just make stuff up and put it on your website. No fact checking, no sources, no responsible journalism. You just let your imagination run away with you, make up stories, put quotes in people's mouths (as well as a few other things), and run with it. You're just seeking attention to make up for those feelings of abandonment you experienced as a child."

Then, in a poof, Kid Vegas disappeared into Nakita Ka$h's pussy. So I went home to abuse myself all over my site.

Louis Peraino Sr Dies

From www.geneross.com: "Industry legend Lou Peraino Sr., passed away in New York Monday evening at 9:30pm after a lengthy bout with cancer. Peraino was 59 years old. Born in Brooklyn, January 16, 1940, Peraino went on to found Arrow Productions and produced Deep Throat, one of the most profitable independent films made of all time, accounting for nearly $200 million in box office revenues. Peraino spent a lifetime battling on behalf of civil rights and Free Speech and was in and out of courts as a result. During most of his life Peraino was under indictment, on parole or in prison as a result of a spate of obscenity trials that followed in the wake of Deep Throat."

Luke wants to know more about Peraino battling for civil rights (beyond the right to sell porn). Gene forgets to mention Peraino's association with the Mafia. For the real scoop on the Perainos, click here.

In flagrant violation of his contract with the feds, Louis spent the last few years of his life developing L.P. Duplicating, which mainly duplicates porno tapes. It's now run by his son Lou Jr, who does not like to use his Peraino surname because of its bad connotations. Lou Jr told www.geneross.com upon his father's passing, "I'm dealing with a lot of different stuff right now. One of the things I don't want to be dealing with is a well-intended but poorly directed article. I know your needs but just hope you'll wait until I can get back into town before we even start dealing with this. I know
there's some statement that needs to be made. I'm sure your intentions are pure."

Rob Black Lawsuit

Attorney Michael N. Friedman represents ex-members of Extreme Associates Tiffany Mynx and Van Damage, as well as Mike Daniels, a partner in Tom Byron Productions, who's suing Rob Black and his distribution company Extreme Associates.

Friedman sent me the first page of a letter he received from Adam Stull, Black's lawyer.

Dated 4/23/99, the letter reads in part:

It has come to the attention of Extreme Associates that your clients, Van Brunt [Van Damage] and Shannon Price [Tiffany Mynx], have taken several video masters and model releases belonging to Extreme Associates. These masters and model releases were surreptitiously taken from the Company offices of Extreme Associates, and were taken without the consent or permission of Extreme Associates and its principles (Rob Black and Tom Byron). These titles include:

* Lewd Behavior

* Lewd Behavior - 2nd Offense

* Lewd Behavior - 3rd Offense

* The Damage Report

* Filthy Lil' Pornabees

* Filthy Lil' Pornabees 2

* Flesh Pot

* One untitled film in the can

* Asswoman in Wonderland

Your clients are hereby notified to cease and desist any and all use of the above-listed titles. Neither Van Brunt nor Shannon Prince may use, sell, license or encumber any of the titles listed above. At best, your clients may have had an oral agreement for compensation arising out of Extreme's use and licensing of its copyrighted works which Van Brunt and Shannon Prince produced for Extreme Associates.

Friedman adds: "The remainder of the letter contains threats against Van and Tiffany and I am not interested in having those threats posted on the internet. What is interesting to me about this letter is that it confirms that Tom Byron is, indeed, a principal of Extreme Associates. Moreover, it claims that the listed titles belong to Extreme Associates, a video distributor. I do not have all of the box covers for all of these titles at this time. However, I do have the box covers for Lewd Behavior and Lewd Behavior - 2nd Offense. These box covers clearly evidence that the copyright for these titles belongs to VG Productions, which as you know, is Van's production company. I also have a box cover for a video produced by Rob Black entitled "The Cellar." Please note that this box cover indicates that Rob Black holds the copyright for "The Cellar." All of this artwork was commissioned by Extreme Associates and Extreme Associates provided the information regarding the copyright holder. Please take a look for yourself."

Here's the box for Van Damage's video Lewd Behavior. Here's a close-up of the box which shows that Van claims the copyright. Here's Lewd Behavior 2 and a closeup. Compare them to the Rob Black movie The Cellar. Closeup.

Friedman: "I leave it for you and your industry to decide who is telling the truth in this instance -- Rob Black, through his attorney, or Van Damage, who has the box covers, the masters and the model releases for these videos? If anyone intends to distribute or disseminate any of the videos referenced in Adam Stull's letter, they should make their deal with VG Productions and/or Tiffany Mynx Productions (for Asswoman in Wonderland.) Extreme Associates does not own these videos -- Extreme owes Van and Tiffany over $100,000 by our preliminary estimates, and Extreme Associates is now attempting to steal Van's and Tiffany's videos away from them. Rob and Tom will never be permitted to get away with this."

John Bone Vs Shaye

A former employee of Cream Entertainment, Shaye, says that she hear (through an intermediary) from her old boss, John Bone, the following: "He says that when you came here, everyone treated you nice, and so on.... And that when the Springer thing happened, Candy Apples sold us out for money...and he is fine with that. But that you never even put a price on that and you "sold him out" without even a price attached. He says "you are the biggest piece of garbage he has ever come across in his entire life."

Shaye: "Hi Luke.....Here's just a little example of how mad John is at me. Not that even one little inch of me gives a f---, but do you think he's mad because, A. I told you lies about him for NO reason, or B. because I told you the truth about John's pathetic attempts to cover up his s--- that was thrown in my face everyday that I worked with him,and his total disregard of respect to his contract girls, his "friend" Gene [Ross] and the people who have to work for him and hope they get paid at the end of the week.

"And as far as being the "biggest piece of garbage," I think John has already
taken the role for himself a long, long time ago. I don't react well to being
insulted by a fat f---ing loser who has to f--- 20 year old girls because he
has such a huge complex about being OLD!! Maybe instead of showing off how f---ing sneaky and slick you seem to think you are, you should instead put that energy into saving your ass."

Businessman Greg Zeboray: "Just read the comments attributed to John Bone regarding a former employee, and I was appalled: this from man who thinks it is okay to f--- his employees - that is garbage! Whether or not KJ want's to f--- him isn't even relevant. The fact is, she is his employee, not his
personal prostitute. If he needs more than his wife, he should go hire a
call girl, not turn to his employees."

Open Question For Vivid Video

DSL1999 writes on RAME: "Why are you ruining your original movies and videos by re-releasing them for sale in an edited form? Why is it that many of your videos are so poorly transferred so as to be unwatchable?

"I have been looking for replacement copies for three of my favorite videos of all time: GENTLEMEN PREFER GINGER, THE SWAP 2, and ANONYMOUS.

"When I originally purchased copies of these movies, the video copy was clear, sharp and complete. Now several years later, I cannot seem to purchase these movies on tape without poor video transfer quality (THE SWAP 2 is blurry and without detail; ANONYMOUS has vertical noise bars running throughout the tape) or missing scenes (the Ginger-Amber scene in GENTLEMEN PREFER GINGER has been hacked to pieces).

Why are you, as a company known for gorgeous actresses and top quality
production doing this to your movies? Will we ever get to see the original
recordings again? Do you know that the consumer feels ripped-off (even at your discount prices)?

Gay porn star Ryan Idol says he's bankrupt and filed for Chapter 11. Tim Evanson says he cites "personal loans" (from David Forrest, I hear, to get his bitch-tit surgery done) and "medical debts." (RAME)

Desi: "Saw Tiffany Mynx at the Gentlemens Club, ass is getting droopy but she looked in good spirit!"

Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom

AsifIdtellu writes on RAME: I have seen many adult films, both old and new. Being that I am young (24) and considered part of generation X (the most lame title ever) I feel the need to shed light on what is going to be the future of pornography as we know it.

    I will be as succinct as possible. The future of X films is in the hands of companies like Extreme Associates, Zane (Matt Zane),. It is in the hands of actresses like MILA and Alisha Klass.

    This is what my generation wants to see. We will phase out over glossed films who have beautiful actresses (i.e. Chasey Lane, Jenna Jameson, Serenity, Ashton Moore ext..) but are weighed down with inane stories and bad acting. You are fooling no one, everybody can see that these girls can not act, stop trying! Why anyone would by Vivid products is beyond me. Time will tell and figures will show that these type of films will be phased out.

    Generation X wants actresses who will do it all! No bulls--- (i.e.. only doing girls, no anal, only work with boyfriends, ext..) We want to see girls that love to f--- and are not afraid to show it. Lets face it pornography is made by men for men. Stop pretending otherwise.

    Generation X (like no other generation before it) will mainstream pornography. It is already happening, the evening news at Hustler Hollywood, to name just one example out of many.

    We will not be satisfied with patrician, boring scenes with disinterested actresses. Get rid of the girls who lie there and take it (I do not care what they look like). Who wants to supplicate there fantasies onto some cunt who is there for the paycheck only.

    Scenes should take it further than ever before. Gen X ers push the
envelope in every other facet ( i.e. music, books, film) its time to see companies like Wicked, VCA, and Vivid doing extreme scenes. Why
shouldn't fisting be common place? or DPs? DA's?

        WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE CONDOMS!!!!!!!!!!!

    That for our girlfriends and wives. Aids in the industry is not the consumers problem.

    Get rid of insipid actresses like Felecia and Janine who have the
audacity to only do women and take some superior stance in doing so.

    There should be a proliferation of work for Mila and girls like her. I
do not necessarily want to see paint squirted out of her ass but I am
glad that if I did that I could.

    Luke F-rd has every right to do what he does. Why not see a shift in
the balance of power? Why should the AVN control everything? He has the balls to to take to take on porn stalwarts such as Fishbein, and Ross etc...

    Ford, Talking Blue, Ross, and others should be able to co-exist alongside each other. The industry is the wiser for it. There should be a variety of opinions and stances.

Abused Porn Stars

Learned Hand opines on RAME about Gina Fox: If you believe Dr. Drew from Lovelines (and I do), this is probably evidence that she was sexually molested as a young girl. His theory, which I have seen demonstrated with several callers, is that women who have the little girl voice were molested
as young girls and they have frozen their voices, and to a degree their emotional development, at the age they were molested. People who were molested act out sexually also, so there is probably a good reason she went straight into sex work.

I try to avoid the women who have the little girl voice for exactly this reason. I am not one of the people who think that everyone in porn is there because they were molested, but I am sure that a significant number were, and I try to steer away from those that I have suspicions fall into that category. It seems too much like exploitation to me. I want the girls to do dirty things because they want to, not because they were abused and acting out the problems of their youth.
