A few days ago I reported that Vivid Video wanted to bring Chasey Lain out of retirement and give her her own series.
Vivid shot Chasey in a movie a month ago.
I hear that Chasey Lain is addicted to crystal methamphetamine. She weighs about 70 pounds, her bones are poking out through her skin, her eyes are bugging out of her head, her face is sunken in and her skin is hanging off of her. She looks like she has been in a concentration camp. Her boyfriend husband Anthony makes crystal and sells it. They have a toddler at home. Chasey burned down her bedroom a few weeks ago, probably when her crack pipe caught fire.
I hear Chasey is turning tricks. A friend met her and said it is like looking at a dying person. Two industry friends saw her recently and said she will be dead within the month. She is cracked out of her mind. She was offered help but she is beyond that, she claims that she does not have a problem.
Chasey has begged certain video company owners to help her out financially. She has lost everything, her cars were even impounded. An acquaintance offered to put her into rehab and that is the last he heard from her.
Vivid is using Chasey in a new series, they filmed her about four weeks ago so they are completely aware of her problem. They need to spend the money getting her into rehab rather than giving it to her to buy more drugs. Members of the crew on her set said it was so sad watching her, that is was like f---ing a dying person.

This is ALL that is required at this point. It truly is in GOD's hands. SHE must experience what we call a "Spiritual Awakening"..it does happen to the lucky ones. Some just die.... Jails, death or the insanity those are her three choices until the "Spiritual Awakening". Give her NO money or NO work..just LOVE.
Brandy Alexandre writes: You can't help someone who doesn't want it. Forced help would have to come from a family member or someone with power of attorney. Your heart is in the right place, but this is something beyond anyone's control. On the other hand, I'm with you when it comes to providing means for someone to feed their addiction. I agree with the firing of Robert Downey, Jr. from Ally McBeal, and I think Chasey should not be given employment until she seeks help. Vivid could contract effective immediately after treatment and 30 days of sobriety or somesuch as an incentive, perhaps even pay for it. That's the only way anyone can prove they care about the talent as much as the publicize they do.

Alex DeRenzy Dies
GeneRossExtreme.com reports: "Legendary XRCO Hall of Fame Director Alex deRenzy died at West Oaks Hospital 4 am this morning after suffering a stroke and diabetic attack a few days ago. deRenzy, who resided in San Francisco, suffered the stroke after coming to Los Angeles to work on a Devil's Films shoot. deRenzy got very sick during the shooting and one day did not show up on the set. He was found passed out in a hotel room. deRenzy had been on life support the last few days. deRenzy had also directed under the name Rex Borsky when he owned the company Rosebud which was subsequently sold to Pleasure Productions. deRenzy is perhaps best known for his films Pretty Peaches and Baby Face."
Gene Ross also reports that porn stars flipping tricks should stay out of the Ipanema Bar at Las Vegas' Rio Hotel. "Over the years several girls in the adult industry have been nailed on prostitution charges and porn star Cassandra Lear, 20 is the latest. Only the call on this one was solicitation. The loophole is more the fault of the FDA, but Dr. Fisher is highly unethical to push the limits on it. He abuses it.
Again, I ask - what research did you do? Please don't tell me it's because of someone else, you saw him on TV or looked at the certificates on his wall. Being on TV doesn't prove one's qualifications. It just proves the deals they make with other unethical folks.
Luke, if I might add something here. This is the third time a "patient" of Dr. Fisher has lashed back when confronted with something they don't want to hear. These guys must hypnotize or brainwash them. Sorry ladies, but these are the facts. I've mentioned before, yes...he is charming. So was Ted Bundy. Go to the Blue Angel Cabaret at the Eugene Frankel Theater on Bond Street in SOHO, near the campus of NYU (not far from where you ate). (There likely is an ad for it in the current Village Voice, a free weekly publication, that has the details.) They have shows Friday and Sat nights at, I think, 8 and 10 pm for about $20 a ticket, plus min $10 for drinks. Call ahead to RSVP. It is NOT a topless bar setup, but real old-style pre-Giulliani "performance art," with almost all those in attendance couples, rockers, denizens of new york's underground - not a raincoat crowd. This will give you lots to write about. I cannot guarantee what you will see on a given weekend, but when I was last there entertaining out of town guests, we were, um, not disappointed.
WARNING - sitting next to the stage can be problematic, if entertaining. Also, this is a pretty damned intense performance in spots, and parts of it can be offensive to certain religions. Still, I would wager you cannot see this stuff in Houston. (And it is NOT what you would see in Thailand - this is something different. If you are lucky, you will get to see an act called "pig sex.") So GO SEE THIS.
SECOND SEMI-WARNING This Sunday is the infamous annual Puerto Rican Day Parade up 5th avenue. Worth your time, just don't wander into Central Park with your honey during or afterwards (i.e., ANY time on Sunday) unless you want to end up in the Monday papers. And I am not being flip about this . while central park is actually pretty safe, if you fill it up with hundreds of thousands of young PR males on booze and no women to call their own, you know what comes next. Yes, the NYPD will be out in force this year in a major way that they were not last year, but who knows?

Uncovered TV Gets Luke's First Porn Tour
Promptly at noon there's a knock on my door and it is Randy Kagan, correspondent for Uncovered TV, formerly National Enquirer Television.
A comic, he's slim and pale and wearing sunglasses with average American Jewish looks and a low key demeanor. He seems self assured. He was probably loved by his parents and he doesn't display any inner demons. He doesn't show a need to prove himself. He doesn't burn with rage. He's just prompt and professional and American and secular Jewish and from Arizona.
He's successful and he lives with his fiance and he treats people well.
He saw his first porn movie at age 15 at his Jewish youth group (affiliated with a very Reform temple). His parents pushed him to attend this youth group. So one day he went and they showed the movie Deep Throat.

Then off we go to the Tomkat, formerly the Pussycat, an X-rated theater on Santa Monica Blvd, just east of Fairfax Blvd. The Pussycat played Deep Throat several times a day for over ten years. Now it plays exclusively homosexual porn.
We videotaped the handprints in the cement outside the theater of John Holmes, Linda Lovelace, Eric Edwards, Marilyn Chambers and others. I'm interviewed.
Then we visit Robert Lombard, Gregory Bowman's friend, at his agency on Robertson Blvd. He's hosting a casting call for a new company casting for ten softcore shows.
As we walk up to his door, we run into porn star TJ Hart. The camera crew is thrilled because she's tall, blonde and buxom. She's great footage.
They pull her aside for a ten minute interview with Randy. He starts by talking to her as a porn star rather than as the sensitive intelligent woman she is who happens to do porn. She settles him down. She sets him straight.
Randy's amazed that a porn girl like Hart seeks the same amount of romance and wooing that an ordinary woman wants.
He asks about her favorite pornos and she says she doesn't watch any.
TJ won't take off her sunglasses because she doesn't want anyone on mainstream TV to see her deeply as a porn star. Nor will she reveal the stage name she uses for mainstream work. TJ explains that mainstreamers will often walk off a set if they discover they're working with someone who's done porn.
We walk in Robert's gates and run into Nancy Vee, who has new front teeth and her mother in tow.
How does mom feel about Nancy's sex work?
Mom: "What she does is her business. I don't interfere as long as she's safe. I don't condone what she does. Let her do her thing. Life is too damn short for that. And I think that more parents should go with their children [to porn shoots], go with their daughters, their sons... I'm not embarrassed about what she does. I'm not. As long as she's safe.
"I know that her dad would be proud of her and I am very proud of my daughter. And I love her dearly."
The TV crew suggests that they hug. They do. They kiss. They tell each other 'I love you.'

Luke: "How did you find out about her movies?"
Mom: "She told me. I said ok."
Nancy: "We did a thing for Playboy a few weeks ago. A movie called Voyeur."
Mom: "I sat there and watched it. It looked all right."
Nancy: "I'm also in an Emmanuelle series by Klixxx Productions. I'm not Emmanuelle but my girlfriend got the part. The movie is 20 years old but we redid it. It's called Emmanuelle 2000 and it will be in video stores."
Randy: "Mom, have you ever thought about being in any of these films?"
Mom: "Hell no, honey. One is enough in the family."
Randy: "Why not? If she can do it, you can do it."
Mom: "I'm too old."
Nancy: "My dream is that one day I will have my own comedy show and I'll be in my 40s at that time and she'll be Momma Vee."
Mom: "I'm very proud of my daughter."
Nancy: "I'm taking her to Vegas."
Mom: "We're going to gamble, honey. I just won $5000. I started with $15 on Mother's Day. I built it all the way up to $172,000..."
We walk upstairs past about 30 young good looking people waiting for their audition.
I talk to Monique DeMoan who says she's broken up again with Jon Dough. They've been together as long as I've been in porn - six years.
Though we've only spoken a few times, I've connected as deeply with Jon as with anyone in this business. He's powerfully etched in the Ian Gittler book Pornstar.
Luke talks to Monique: "Are you still with Jon?"
Monique: "We just broke up."
Luke: "Again."
Monique: "I know. Everyone knows our history."
Luke: "What's he doing these days?"
Monique: "He's shooting for Anabolic and Diabolic. He's got a line out, 'Bring 'Em Young' with 18 and 19-year old girls. He still gets in front of the camera."
Luke: "And what are you doing these days?"
Monique: "The same thing. I just got back into this. I was doing the stills for Jon."
I remember meeting Jon in early 1996 on a Vivid set. And he told me he had been having some unbelievably crazy times with his girlfriend Monique DeMoan and that she was dangerous for him.
