Luke Feels A New Sense Of Power
I've just realized that I've learned something powerful from my new shul - the power of being self contained. When you just sit there and don't say anything, and don't give anything away, it is tremendously powerful... People don't know how to read you, they can't misinterpret you because you've said nothing...
I started davening again at shul last July, in the midst of a turbulent relationship and my emotions were just slopping over... From my successful disciplined self contained peers at shul, I've learned the tremendous power of keeping things to myself... I kvell over this with my therapist. I feel more powerful, I am much less vulnerable... I just hold stuff in generally when I am in situations where I feel vulnerable... The person who loves the least in a relationship controls the relationship.
I learned a great deal about love and relationships from my hero - Anthony Robbins who just ran off with another man's wife.

Criticism Of Reform Judaism

Reform speaks of the autonomy of the individual, which means the individual chooses the ritual which fits them, but meaningful autonomy requires a reasonable degree of knowledge. There is a difference between being a Jew and living as a Jew.
These conclusions have been driven by my family, particularly by my children, but I wanted to thank you for your thoughts. You have chosen a particularly strange and uncomfortable task. I thought you might appreciate hearing that someone is being influenced in a positive way.
New Head Of E! Steers Channel Away From Porn

One order of business, sources say, was getting a cleanup of some of the station's grittier behind-the-scenes shows about porn stars. True Hollywood Story, for instance, has profiled the porn actresses Linda Lovelace and Savannah, and Herman is said to have felt that the network was veering too far into sleaze.
A source within the adult entertainment industry says that E! has indeed become a little more conservative since Herman came aboard. ''They are not using as many hardcore adult porn stars as they were,'' this person says.
Herman doesn't dispute the change, though she disagrees that her tenure had anything to do with it. What she did, she says, is help draw the fine line that allows E! to cover the entertainment industry in a sexy way without being salacious. ''We cover a sexy industry,'' she says. ''To the extent that we are the mirror for the industry, we do have to cover the gamut of what is within the popular culture at the time.''

Bob Berkowitz: "You've heard me reference several times over the past few weeks an article that was the cover story of the New York Times Sunday Magazine. He writes a piece that porn has become mainstream American entertainment."
Dan Ackman: "I disagree with his general thesis that it is generally mainstream and has a reflection in the culture. I don't think any porn movies or websites or anything else bleeds into the wider culture. He said porn was a ten to fourteen billion dollar a year industry and in our estimate that is not even close to being true. It is more like a three to four billion dollar a year industry.
"We asked Adult Video News how they came up with their four billion dollar a year figure and they had no idea."
Bill Margold laughs heartily.
Bob: "Broadway is only a $600 million dollar a year industry."
Dan: "Broadway bleeds into the outside culture. Yeah, but everyone in America knows that The Producers won all those Tony awards... It was in every newspaper and on every TV news show. Broadway is mainstream because people come from Broadway and the songs become hits..."
Bill: "Ron Jeremy is as noteworthy as that idiot we have for president."
Dan: "If you went out on a street in New York or Los Angeles and ask people who Ron Jeremy was, maybe two or three people would know."
Bob: "HBO can get away with what it does in large part because Americans have become inured to adult entertainment. I watched Sex and the City last night and it was very out there."
Dan: "Those are certainly mainstream but there's a big difference between nudity and porn."
Bill: "The word 'porn' bothers me because it suggests something illegal."
Dan: "No it doesn't."
Bill: "Until 1988, we were going to jail in California for making pornography. Suddenly we became adjudicated as adult entertainers."
Dan: "Legitimacy is one thing and legality is another."
Bill: "AVN is the Bible of a godless business."
Dan: "AVN is the Bible but like the Bible itself, there's probably a lot of stuff that isn't exactly true in it. Do you think God created the earth in six days?
"If you're saying that because we have a lot of porn out there and it has changed the standard of the amount of nudity and explicit language we can have in mainstream media, I don't disagree. But adult products are not known by their titles by anyone. The porn stars become famous occasionally when they have an affair with a politician..."
Bill: "I have an organization called FOXE - Fans of X-rated Entertainment which is ten years old and I have 1800 members. I think hundreds of millions of people watch adult material and don't confess to it."
Dan incredulous: "There aren't hundreds of millions of people in the U.S.. You don't need to have anyone to admit to it, all you have to do is track the finances of it."
Bill: "In an industry predicated on screwing, you're going to get f---ed. You honestly expect us to tell the truth about what we're making?"
Dan: "I don't."
Bill: "Why should we? Whose business is it? Frank Rich stuck his nose into our business, what do you expect these people to say? We're starving?"
Dan: "I expect people to lie to Frank Rich but I expect Frank Rich to exercise a little scrutiny and skepticism."
Bill: "Why would he want to do that? He wanted to make a point about the mainstreaming of adult material."
Dan: "I totally agree. He was trying to make a point about important his article was and to do that he gooses the figures."
Bill: "If you read between the lines, that article was tedious."
Dan: "I agree. He tried to say, here is an important story. I wouldn't be writing about it if it wasn't important. And to boost its importance, he put in these statistics that are unsupportable and unsupported. And he did that to boost himself. Just like the people giving them to him were trying to boost themselves."
Bill: "It's called matching justifications. He needed to validate his reason for the front cover of that magazine.
"Dan, have you watched adult movies?"
Dan: "Yeah."
Bill: "Do you enjoy them for their purpose?"
Dan: "I suppose I do."
Bill: "I believe that adult entertainment controls one quarter of the world's entertainment industry."
Dan: "I don't believe there's anyway that's true.
"There's no brand [that matters in porn]. It's not like you need to see this one versus that one... For the most part, it's a commodity. In a commodity business, the margins will be squeezed, the prices will be reduced and therefore you get less profit.
"Tom Cruise makes more money in a year than all porn actors put together. If there was more money in porn, the actors would be paid more. Tom Cruise gets paid more money because he has more fans. If these guys had more fans, they'd get paid more.
"If you took porn off the internet, I don't think the internet would be much changed.
"We've had people say that if Tom Cruise did a porn movie, it would be successful. But Eyes Wide Shut was probably his least successful film."

the first week of may I went to a club called TENS in tucson arizona. i had so bad of a time there that i will not even fill you in on the details. then , i was scheduled to do a video and boxcover shoot for legend , but ended up canceling because ....well.....just because.... the 10th-12th , i worked at deja vu in st. louis. i had a BLAST !!!! i hung out with alexa/wicked (former wicked girl), and we performed together...we took a bunch of pics from our duo show , which should be up soon. let me just tell you for those of you who werent there-it was HOT!!!!and because it went over so well , we may be doing a lot more duo shows. ill keep you posted!
NEXT , i went to a place in phoenix....where i had sooo much fun and got a new tattoo...its in a v shape on my stomach to hips. its cute. i thought my agent was gonna kill me , and he nearly did. but i like it so its all good. i was seeing someone, that i started seeing in april, but i dont know i guess the novelty has worn off ....i havent really talked to him much in the past couple of weeks. and plus, he called my friend , trying to hook up with her , .... he told me about it , and was honest , but i still think thats kind of shady....the part that sucks is that i enjoyed his company a lot and now im on the road, lonely and we dont even talk anymore...oh well. guess it wasnt meant to be!!!
next, i worked at spearmint rhino in oxnard.. that was ok. i like dancing locally because then all my friends show up and its always a good time. that same week....i decided to record a song with my friend who shall remain nameless by choice. we did a cover of a milli vanilli tune, which i am pretty proud of and will be putting on the site shortly for you all to hear. we call ourselves dick and jane. this is a rock project seperate from the cd im doing...i cant wait to hear your feedback. so far , everyone who has heard it seems to dig it!!!i was considering playing it in the stern show but i am too insecure and i dont want him clownin my music so i am not going to. speaking of stern , i will be on AGAIN on june 11th...monday ...so be sure to listen!!!its gonna be FUN.probably the best show yet..... and im on chaunce haydens show tomorrow am (june 6th) at 9 am at chaunce hayden

i was onstage during a new song of thiers called CELEBRITY. i took pictures from the stage that look unbelieveable. the whole damn show was just f---ing brilliant and to look out and see all those fans out there. man NSYNC really inspires me. they are so cool and the best part is that they dont act it. i cant wait for the new cd to come out!!!its gonna be bad-ass!!!!! by the way , thank you steven for a great time. i owe you ......... also, i chilled with o-town , recorded, and even took a drive by some NEW KIDS houses lol.i know that sounds silly but the devil made me do it, really. i also met Rich from LFO, who I thought was very sweet and looked very cute in person. man can i just say that Ashley Parker Angel from O-TOWN is the most beautiful man i think i have ever laid eyes on.??!! HE JUST HAS THIS AURA ABOUT HIM, its hard to explain. but he almost glows. he is just amazingly beautiful, and his personality is equal to his looks!!
i think that every single guy in otown has different qualities about them that make them special and beautiful , but i think my biggest crush is on ashley. he was so stuck in my mind that i am writing and recording a song about him. anyway , im sure youve heard enough of that. so ill let it go now........ i encourage everyone i know to go buy the Craig David cd .i just did. its really good .i cant stop playing it.

i would say that i have learned from her experience that a parent has dreams for thier children but it is not up to us what our kids do .. now when she goes on trips we go down to be with her.... she supports her sisters , buys them school clothes and had ensured a good education for them so they will NEVER have to do the things she has had to.

Manhattan Federal Court Judge Richard Casey gave the advice to model Sandra Bentley after spurning her "outrageous" request for $6,300 a month in living expenses. Bentley is seeking the stipend from a bank account that's tied up in a messy legal case involving another ex-boyfriend, accused stock swindler Mark Yagalla.
Investors had sued Yagalla after his high-flying $40 million hedge fund collapsed last year amid accusations of fraud. As far as him leaving Diabolic, Vince and Dion Giarusso, General Manager of Elegant Angel, both agree that there are no hard feelings. "they only wish the best for us and for Vince." says Giarusso.
After spending 7 years as one of the top actors in the adult industry, Vince is ready to spend more time behind the camera rather than in front of it. He wants to move forward and focus on his talents as a director. Currently, Vouyer is slated to direct two movies a month for Elegant Angel. "By doing two movies a month for Elegant Angel, he will be a full-time director FOCUSING more on productions. "We believe this change will allow Vince to go further with his creativity and that helps Elegant Angel." commented Giarusso.
According to Vouyer, it's very difficult trying to be a director of a movie, and at the same time, performing in it. "It's frustrating having someone shoot camera for you while you are in the movie. It's not easy. I know that I'm a good woodsman, but I know if I'm holding the camera, I will get exactly what I want."
Giarrusso agrees. "From now on, if you see Vince in a movie, the girl that he performs with must be very special. Vouyer will have a total of 4 series with Elegant Angel. They will rotate on a bi-monthly basis. His first series, which is as yet un-named, focuses on internal Cum shots. "I am really happy with the first series. I've already started shooting it, and it's something that I've wanted to do for a while."
His second series, which will be anal-based, will bring together some of the best butts in the world. "The girls are going to have particularly nice asses in this series.
