Cindi Loftus Profile

Xcitement Magazine's Cindi Loftus writes: To answer your question ( and I really don't mind if you want to print it somewhere someday, as long as you don't send it to my Mother, or my ex-boss) I have been a writer all my life, usually part time or freelance. I have been writing for Xcitement for 9 years, since their first issue. I went to college for Legal research. I continued on specializing in Federal IncomeTaxes. I then went to work for H&R BLock as a branch manager during tax season and as an Educator in the off season. I worked there for three years, and I loved it. I was teaching a class on tax preparation when one of my adult students lured me away to run his new phone sex business. After three years of managing his staff of 80 crazy women, i was burned out, and that is when I took a vacation. When I came back from vacation, i decided not to go back to the phone office. When I told Xcitement I had left my job, they offered me this one. So last May, I came on board full time with Xcitement. I do most of the interviews and write a 2 page column every month. I am also in charge of media relations and copyediting the magazine. I really like working here. It is a low stress environment, even though it is a stressful job meeting deadlines. I also get to do a lot of my work from home, which is GREAT. And by the way, my mother wishes I was still at H&R Block!

Science Shows That Men Prefer To Have Sex With Pretty Young Women

From the WeeklyStandard.com: It turns out that what we consider beautiful in the opposite sex is merely a measure of reproductive fitness. In his well-written textbook Evolution and Human Behavior, published last year, John Cartwright summarizes the latest findings.

Men prefer women with childlike features, Cartwright notes, because a small chin and nose "indicate a low level of testosterone" and thus increased fecundity. Both sexes prefer symmetry in facial features because "symmetry is an indicator of physiological precision, protein heterozygosity and hence resistance to or freedom from pathogens." The evolutionary psychologist Devendra Singh, meanwhile, discovered that waist to hip ratio (now known as "WHR" in the acronym-happy literature) is an important indicator of child-bearing ability among women. The optimum WHR is 0.7. And that, says Singh, is the waist-to-hip ratio that men around the world, from all cultures, in all regions, prefer in their women. Coincidence? Absolutely not, say the sociobiologists. Nothing will budge them from their scientific discovery that men (on average) would rather have sex with young and pretty women than old and ugly ones.

But sociobiology delivers news even more startling than this. Darwinian theorizing about sex has led Robert Wright and many other sociobiologists to conclude, for example, that "women will never break through the glass ceiling because, biologically, they have less of men's innate ambition and willingness to take the risks necessary for success."

Recalling Better Times With Devon - Entertainment Tonight, February 8, 1999

Today I paused to remember better times between myself and porn star Devon. We appeared on an Entertainment Tonight cover story on porn February 8th, 1999. Listen to the ET report.

Cue tape:

Host: They are women who wanted to make it big in Hollywood. And they did. They are among the most popular new stars in porn. Now they talk about their fame and fortunes and their very different hopes for the future in our Entertainment Tonight cover story.

Narrator: Devon found her way here from Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Devon: "I was a little nervous. I didn't know what to expect."

N: Shyla [Foxxx] came from Chicago.

Shyla Foxxx: "I never thought I would be here but I have to say that I wouldn't trade it for the world."

N: Coral [Sands] was a country girl from Alabama.

Coral: "What if my friends find out? What if my family finds out?"

N: Today these three women are among the hottest stars in adult video.

C: "I completely acknowledge the fact that what I do is not so normal."

Luke F-rd: "Why do women perform sex on film? Money."

N: Luke F-rd is the author of "A History of X", a new book on the industry. He says top actresses can make over $100,000 a year and lots more from strip clubs.

Luke: "There are probably two or three who are making over $500,000 a year. There are probably a dozen or more porn stars clearing $200,000 a year."

Shyla: "I can't believe that I can have such a great income and have so much fun."

N: But all that fun and money comes with a price. Despite precautions, there is the threat of AIDS.

Coral: "It only takes one time. It's a scary issue."

N: Family and friends might not be so enthusiastic about your new job."

Devon: "Some of them are cool and some of them didn't want to hang out with me and be my friend anymore. I guess I could expect that."

Coral: "So many people can't possibly imagine that this is ok."

Luke: "It's a very tough business. It really grinds people down."

N: Shyla, who's in college studying criminal justice, plans to quit in a year or two."

Shyla: "My goal is to be the best criminal attorney out there. But besides that, I'd like to be a judge some day."

N: Coral wants to be a singer and settle in the mountains in Tennessee.

Coral: "Every other thing I'm doing is working for one thing and one thing only - buy my way out of LA."

N: They may go but new ones are certain to replace them. And bring with them, big dreams.

Devon: "I want to be the biggest porn actress. I want to be the biggest star."

N: Luke F-rd's book "A History of X: 100 Years Of Sex In Film" will be in stores in March.

On March 8, 2001, on their weekend edition, Entertainment Tonight profiled porn stars who've done mainstream TV. You'll remember me asking for help on ET's behalf a few weeks ago.

Host: There were a few adult film stars up to the challenge and they set their sights on primetime.

Traci Lords: "I went and did it all. The drugs, the sex, everything. It was a horrible combination. I want younger people who might think X-rated films... well look at Traci Lords, she made it because she did that. I want them to understand what really happened to me. There's so many things that led me to do that and there was very little help when I wanted to get away from it."

Narrator: Traci Lords was an X-rated star who got caught up in the business as a minor.

Traci: "I never thought I was going to live to be 20. I thought 20 was old."

N: When she decided to turn her back on the adult film industry and make it in mainstream films and television, she found nothing but problems.

Traci: "It isn't easy. It's been so difficult. Are you kidding me? I just don't think it is right when someone tells you that you can't have something just because of something that you did when you were younger or you just made a mistake..."

N: But Traci persevered and that iron will paid off. We caught up with her doing a guest spot on McGyver. And then with a recurring role on Melrose Place. She remembers when she got that first call for a mainstream role.

Traci: "I just said, 'Can you hold on for a second?' And I put the phone down and screamed 'I got it.'"

N: Traci's also currently on the sci-fi channel series First Flag. But her success story is unusual. Many other X-rated stars have had trouble making that jump to primetime.

Jenna Jameson: "I think it is only a matter of time until I crossover and become the biggest star anybody's ever seen."

N: Jenna Jameson has high hopes and she did win two guest spots on Nash Bridges. But so far the mainstream has eluded her.

Marilyn Chambers of Behind The Greed Door fame made some R-rated cable movies but hasn't been able to move beyond that.

Marilyn: "My phone has not been ringing off the hook with a remake of Gone With The Wind or anything. I'm settling for middle of the road stuff and hoping that it will lead to other things. Of course. But I am not going to hold my breath."

N: Ginger Lynn Allen managed to make some feature films and did guest starring roles on Silk Stockings and NYPD Blue. But found it hard to achieve mainstream stardom.

Ginger: "I do feel that there are people who aren't willing to take a chance with me or to give me opportunities. I feel very confident with my abilities today. I've studied hard. I've worked hard. I take my craft seriously. So hopefully else aside from me will take me seriously."

N: The latest X-rated star to go for primetime is Alisha Klass. After 20 adult films, she got a non-speaking role on Melrose Place and a featured part on Showtime's 1999 series Hooplash. But she still faced the X-rated stigma when she won a role in the film Cruel Intentions that ultimately ended up on the cutting room floor.

Alisha: "He goes, 'Fine, you can come down here to read today. But don't come down here looking like a porn star.'"

N: Unlike other adult stars, Alisha intends to keep making X-rated films while pursuing her mainstream dreams.

Alisha: "What you put your mind to and what you put your heart to, will come true."

Is Sindee Coxx Available?

MM2000 writes on BigDoggie.net: I drove buy Market St Cinema in SF last week I think she was headlining there. Don't know her details, but with all of the extras that go on there, I would be suprised if she does some booth action. Big name girls can make a lot of money there since the rates are higher for a star and the action is shorttime. Probably, one of the most unique clubs in US. The booth clubs in Montreal are the best thought, and Larissa from Gran Prix is the Queen.

Camp Erotica Star Francis Lurid In News

Brother Terry writes from MondoFamilyFilms.com: My Dear Luke, It seems that one of the stars of Mondo Family Films' "Camp Erotica" , former child actor Francis Lurid, is back in the news again. I have cut and pasted the following news story for you to post on your site. I only hope that your young and impressionable readers can learn something from Francis' bad example. P.T.L., Brother Terry

NUTCASE EX-TV STAR ON WARPATH: BELIEVES HE'S INDIAN CHILD BRIDE FROM OLDEN DAYS

Story by Bill Stienbacher-Kent

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA--In what Hollywood observers are calling the most grievously bizarre chapter in the oft-troubled life of Francis Lurid, reports from the Betty Ford Center indicate that the long-forgotten minor celebrity now believes he's an Algonquin child bride living in the mid-eighteenth century.

According to a spokesperson for the internationally recognized drug rehabilitation clinic, the baffling time-shifting psychosis was triggered by the ingestion of 32 milliliters of AVL, an animal tranquilizer dubbed "rover whack" by the animal control community. "The patient received sufficient 'whack' to induce an instantaneous cardiac arrest in a full-grown African elephant," noted the spokesperson. "His ability to survive runs contrary to our basic understanding of organic chemistry, cellular biology, human physiology, and quantum cosmology."

Pop culture devotees will recall that Lurid was the most popular cast member of The Old Rooster and the Little Roadsters, a short-lived Brian Keith television series of the 1970s. The late Keith played a mean-spirited, thrice-divorced father who, with his eleven children in tow, motored down the highways and byways of rural America in a ramshackle RV. Lurid played the youngest son Donnie, a mentally handicapped ragamuffin who would scream "Hot Mama!" and wet his pants every time he encountered a pregnant woman.

Lurid stumbled into the Betty Ford Center late last week, notching his sixth visit in less than two years. In a laborious interview with a crack team of behavioral modification psychologists, Lurid repeatedly referred to himself as "Wikimak," a fourteen-year old Native American concubine to French General Louis Joseph le Marquis de Montcalm-Gozon de Saint-Ve'ran.

During the Seven Years' War, Montcalm led French forces in an epic struggle against the British for control of the vast North American interior. On September 14, 1759, Montcalm was mortally wounded attempting to rally troops in defense of Quebec. The historical record, though, is silent regarding the doomed general and likely conjugal relations with Native Americans.

Lurid a.k.a. Wikimak has recoiled from the rehabilitation center's repeated calls for further psychiatric treatment and physical therapy, instead preferring to fashion elaborate beadwork from polished riverbed stones and shell fragments. "You call it corn, we call it maize," represents the lone intelligible sentence spoken by the drug-addled, washed-out celebrity.

Lurid's eerie psychological collapse parallels other troubling events in his disintegrating life and career. For instance, Tamara Wilkie, his longtime business partner and consort, is suspected of orchestrating an illegal overseas operation involving the manufacture and sale of substandard training bras. According to U.S. Department of Treasury officials, the training bras were produced in Bangladesh sweatshops and shipped to Kiev's black market, where street peddlers would pawn off the inferior wares to unsuspecting Ukrainian orphanages.

Although indictments are pending, Wilkie remains free. For her part, the tart-mouthed mother of eight emphatically denies any wrongdoing. Withholding public comment, the onetime Hooper, Nebraska Ragweed Festival Teen Queen remains ensconced in her doublewide trailer in Omaha's Dragline Scraper Mobile Home Park.

Wilkie and Lurid were companions during the early 1980s, but a planned engagement faltered after the failed television and film actor became increasingly entangled in copious legal and financial problems. Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services officials suspect Lurid sired three children from the Wilkie brood.

The investigation into the training bra swindle embraces a bevy of law enforcement agencies, including U.S. Customs, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bangladesh National Narcotics Control Board, Malaysia Anti-Corruption Agency, Interpol, and, inexplicably, the Tuscaloosa, Alabama County Sheriff's Office. Wilkie, president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer of the notoriously mismanaged Francis Lurid International Fan Club, is also suspected of pilfering dues money for sundry illegal activities.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Wilkie funneled a large percentage of the embezzled funds to Lurid's postal box in Ladera Heights, California. West Coast law enforcement authorities suspect Lurid used that money to bolster his financial stake in a flagging venture to dispatch coerced Azerbaijani mail order brides to a Norwegian methane hydrate research facility north of the Arctic Circle.

Omaha police officials also are investigating claims that Wilkie used another portion of the filched fan club money to finance the manufacture of "floobies," the street name for nefarious concoction of Sarafem, Fentanyl, Ketamine, and Vicodin. A makeshift narcotics laboratory in south Omaha-under the suspected direction of Wilkie-churned out an estimated 1,500 vials of floobies a week. To boost profits, the laboratory cut the powdered inhalant with widely divergent synthetics, including the oral contraceptive Ortho-Novum, Revlon New Complexion blush cheek powder, crystallized Hawaiian Punch ruby red fruit juice, the anti-fungal medication Lamisil, the weight loss medication X-Trozine, and pediculicide, the active ingredient in shampoo products marketed to treat pubic lice.

Lurid's myriad financial tribulations include investing more than $1 million in Hush Now, a never-completed eight-hour silent documentary on lesbian-feminist sand poetry. The perpetually distressed actor also lost untold thousands of dollars in the now-shuttered Khmer Rouge Peace Museum, a tourist debacle located in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.

Roosevelt Ogbeifun, agent and lawyer for Lurid a.k.a. Wikimak, confirmed that his client and Wilkie were in daily contact during the past several years. Yet he scoffed at suggestions the two were in trouble--legally, financially, or morally. "I find it not only improbable but wholly unimaginable that Francis or Tamara would be embroiled in activity considered even remotely improper or unlawful," declared a disconcerted Ogbeifun from his fortress-like Cayman Islands compound.

Ogbeifun represents, among other living and dead celebrities, Charles Nelson Reilly, Billy Barty, Gene Rayburn, Persis Khambatta, Charles Napier, and the still lovely Adrienne Barbeau. He is also a registered lobbyist for the Greater El Paso-Ciudad Juarez Association of Assault Rifle Enthusiasts, the Loyal Order of Moose, and Chuck E. Cheese.

Logan Does LA

I talked to porn star ingenue Logan Monday evening. She sounded tired from running around all day getting ready for a full week of work. She got her test today at Sharon Mitchell's clinic.

Rob Spallone should arrive back in Los Angeles Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Pornography And Child Pornography

Here's an excerpt from the Newsweek story: "Many law-enforcement officers worry that the spread of child pornography, as well as the easy access to like-minded people via the Internet, has a "legitimizing effect" -- making the pedophile believe that his own impulses are OK, because they are shared by so many others. That feeds appetites for this material, meaning more kids will be victimized. "They're all looking for fresh stuff," says FBI agent Peter Gulotta. "They're all looking for photos they haven't seen before." But how many consumers of pornography actually cross the line to soliciting and abusing children? Overall, the evidence on child molestation in the United States is mixed..."

Luke says: The "legitimizing effect" of child pornography legitimizing pedophilia is probably similar to the "legitimizing effect" of regular adult pornography. I believe that regular adult porn helps legitimize in the eyes of its users sexual expression outside of marriage and other societal norms. I suspect that increasingly vicious hardcore legitimates increasingly vicious personal behavior.

Sin City director Michael Raven writes: Luke, a logical comparison doesn't exist here. Pedophilia is a reprehensible behavior that involves children who are unable to make a mature, conscious decision being preyed upon by sick adults. Legal Adult material on the other hand, involves the participation of consenting adults. The two are in NO way comparable.

Luke answers: While child pornography and adult pornography are different, they are both forms of pornography, which virtually every moral system I know of condemns. And even though child and adult pornography are morally different, if child pornography legitimizes deviant sexual behavior, it makes sense that adult porn does the same.

Ron Jeremy Interview

Cindi Loftus from Xcitement Magazine: asks Ron Jeremy: Okay so after you have used your charm to pick up the girl how do you get her into bed?

Ron: That's easy sometimes because if we are appearing in a movie, she is being paid! No, really the trick is, what happens with me a lot is that if I meet a girl, she always wants to "see it". That's a joke they always start with me is can I "see it?" I say I'll trade you flash for flash, you show me yours I'll show you mine! The girl will say well I'm not in the business. I say well, hey honey, I am, but I am already clocked out! I'm not working right now. So usually she'll end up flashing me and I'll flash her. And then we just take it from there. That's what starts a pick up for me.

In real life though, I think you should start by kissing the back of her neck, maybe a little massage. With girls you can be old-fashioned. It's okay to be a little corny. Girls like flowers, a bottle of wine, a nice meal. Read what the girls say in Playboy in the interview section. Every single time the girl says; a nice meal, beautiful scenery, plush carpeting with a nice fireplace, a nice glass of wine or champagne and then we make love. The girls are saying it. They are telling you what they like. That is really the best way of doing it. Take a girl someplace romantic with nice scenery, the ocean, the desert, the woods, that helps the mood, bring a little bottle of alcohol. Then you start kissing, hugging, a little foreplay, kissing the back of her neck, massaging her shoulders. When you do get into the nookie, give head first. It keeps the mystery going. Give the girl head before she even sees your penis. And then to quote my buddy Sam Kinison, the late great comedian, "lick the alphabet". Lick every letter of the alphabet. And as he says make sure you dot the I's and cross the T's. And do all this before they see your penis. Nice foreplay, and the girl may even let go once, and maybe even let go again later, while hiding the bacon. Of course this being the 21st century, sometime in between you want to compare your (HIV) test results! (laughs) Boy that would put a damper on things. Yea, right there baby, like that, oh your wet, HOLD IT, let's compare our tests. Mine is clean. Okay yours is too. Okay back to where we were.

Cleopatra Interview

Cindi Loftus from Xcitement Magazine interviews porn star Cleopatra:

Cleo: When I first started out at age 18, I was Nikki Star. That's when I had the little girl body, and I bleached my hair blonde. That name suited that image. Now I am older (she's 25), and I have a women's body and my hair which is naturally dark, couldn't handle being dyed anymore. So I made over my whole image, let my natural hair color come back. Cleopatra, I think is a pretty seductive name, and it just fits me now.

Luke Gets Mail

Chris writes: Wanting gossip: I stumbled across this photo and wondered who the happy trio was? I know one is that hottie, Stephanie Swift. Is this Cheyenne and her new Hubbie? Word was she was with Andrae Madness aka Dr. Fellatio. Was he married to Swift at one time? Whats the dillio?

Donedone writes: luke watched some porn with a chick the other night, and we were astonished at some of the guys doing porn. some guy named jay sinn...haha, he sucks. cant eat pussy, dick ugly, bad shave job, horrible tatoos, white trash hair do etc etc ad naseum. it makes me think i am in the wrong profession, as i know i would work the situation better than this guy. but it facinates me, because we all know that porn guys are nasty, so this is nothing new, but we never hear a porn babe get candid about this. can we get some dialogue on who girls like to work with, horror stories of working with some of these wanna be pimps, and just plain lame guys. lets get some scoop luke, enough of the BS.

tepdamico@yahoo.com writes Luke: First let me start off with telling you that I am a big fan of your articles and of your website. I enjoy reading about and viewing candid images of the fascinating adult world. I am a student at the University of Hartford in Connecticut and every year my organization throws a large party event towards the end of the year. Last years theme was "deeds for beeds" and needless to say we were in great awe of what the many females were willing to do for some worthless plastic beeds. You honestly would not believe your eyes! This year we are planning much much more and I was wondering if you were by chance willing to cover the event. I know this is a longshot, but I guarentee it would be worth your trip. If you are not interested, I was wondering if you can tell me what other adult entertainment contacts I should contact who may be interested. The event is held on the first weekend of may, so I would appreciate your response as soon as possible. Thank you for your help and good luck with everything.

Chaim Amalek writes: Stop writing about that Devon/Ashley/Logan/Babbette person and focus on what REALLY counts - the drop in value of my Cisco stock. Are you saying prayers EVERY day on behalf of my "portfolio" or aren't you? Which porn related stocks should your readers be buying now? Any money left in internet porn? How much money do those guys REALLY make on the level and how much on the Q.T.?

C'mon Luke, share some of that inside dope you have been collecting. Since my paltry "wealth" is rapidly vanishing before my eyes, I am giving serious thought to going into your line of work. I mean, a jew has got to eat and pay the rent, has he not? And with passover coming up, how the hell am I to pay for my shmura matzhas when they charge $13 for a box of them, even though they are baked in Brooklyn? How many sheckels can one make by torturing porners and their porn-puppets on the web? Is it a good living, one worth the social penalties? Do you get laid much through your work? I suggest that tomorrow's show be devoted to porn and profit - how to weather the storm on Wall Street by investing in masturbatorial goods.

EMail reply: Gooood Morrrrrning Luke F-rd from Robert Lombard of Creative Image Management and Casting...tell Mr. Amalek to look at New Frontier Media (noof) good price and will be around for a long time. Projections are realistic and solid. Surely to get a laugh... I would even consider buying into an IPO if issued on "Michael Raven Enterprises". By far one of the best and most innovative directors in the industry today. HE will be instrumental in the further growth of high end adult entertainment.

Devon Replies To Gossip - Says It's Slander

I heard from ex-Vivid girl Devon late this afternoon about gossip I found about her on other sites.

Devon writes Luke: "Luke, I thought we discussed this before. You do not have permission to post anything off my website and further more you are posting stories that are not true. I realize you did not write them however you are posting them and since they are not true, this is grounds for a defamation suit. If this is the route you choose to go then so be it! Otherwise take all that down immediately. Vivid needs and wants my stuff to sell to make them money thus all the drama. I am secure in what i am doing and do not care about Vivid sales. Ball is in your court, legal action or no legal action either way I don't care."

Luke replies: "You will need to be specific about what is not true. Anything that is untrue that I have posted, even though most of it is culled from other sites and labeled as such, I will immediately take down, and, if you wish, apologize for."

Devon replies: "Just about everything that was said in the letter for the erotic video people (the 4aday.com people). You must realize that this is a marketing ploy for them and action is being taken as we speak regarding their behavior. I do not endorse bulls--- if it is true than so be it, but do not try to hide a few true quotes in a letter full of lies."

Luke says: "Let me check with my sources."

10PM, Devon writes: "Well I guess you made your desicion! Since you left everything up on your page I printed everything out and had my attorney look at your page and the printed material, plus the emails of me asking you to take it down. He has all the info so you should expect to hear from him soon! Defamation of character in the entertainment industry is a serious thing, sorry you chose to post lies!"

Amused writes: If Devon ALLEGEDLY did not have $500 for an abortion I sincerely doubt she has $5,000 to put a defamation lawyer on retainer. Why doesn't she just talk to you and explain the mistruths?

Bob Jones writes Luke: You were threatened twice today, which is I think a new record for you. As feared, your audience caught on that they could buy a quick retraction with a lawsuit threat. I'm glad you're not taking them seriously and are standing up to them. Maybe you should put up a special page explaining how to contact you for legal action, your position on retractions, etc.

Kim@CCBill.com writes: Luke, Once again, I'm going to be nice here (since it did indeed work well the first time), and ask you to remember that you might be very well liable for untruths published on your site, especially those that could lead to a slander or libel lawsuit.

While I don't have anything against you personally, seeing as how I don't know you personally, I would still hate to see you hit by yet again a lawsuit, or series of lawsuits, that you cannot win. I also realize that judgements against you monetarily don't neccesarily mean anything to you unless you perhaps want to buy or sell real property, however I would hate to see these things come to pass.

What this boils down to is that fact that while I am personally not a litigator, nor in law school like Aaron, who seems to be your main source of legal advice these days, I am however a strong proponent of making sure that everyone involved in a situation understands the full scope of the situation, and it seems to me that perhaps your advisors are taking advantage of your lack of knowledge in some areas where it might pay to be wise.

Just a few thoughts from me, your mileage may vary, of course you understand that :) Have a good evening and I would assume that I will be talking to you later about all this.

Devon Gossip

Porn observer Jack says: Devon has a deal with Vivid Video through August where she is not even allowed to negotiate another contract until her current contract expires.

The rumor was that Devon signed with Jill Kelly Productions (JKP). JKP swore that they had never signed JKP. Jill Kelly called sales manager Howard Levine at Vivid to say that she respects the sanctity of contracts, including Devon's contract with Vivid.

Now Devon has done an interview with Danni Ashe of Danni.com, saying she's already in negotiations over a new contract. Danni.com speculates that it is Digital Playground and Jill Kelly Productions. Danni.com has the scoop here.

On her site Devonxxx.com, Devon said she left Vivid because they would not give her the chance to do any serious movie roles. But if you see Devon's latest movie "The Pin Up," you'll be able to know why. Devon's beautiful but she's no actress. There's never been a worse movie. The director should be shot.

Devon has a legitimate acting role in this movie. There's hardly any sex. But the movie is terrible. People who bought the movie are disappointed.

Luke says: I called Vivid sales manager Howard Levine and he said, "No comment." I asked him about Danni.com's Devon story and Howard said he didn't have time to read the gossip sites. Howard did say that it was nice to see me at the pool a few months ago, and he looks forward to seeing me again.

I hate it when I have to deal with professionals.

Peter says: Jenna Jameson posted to you about her deal with Vivid two days before it was official. Vivid freaked.

This guy who runs Jill Kelly Productions, Robert Friedland, is a mean nasty old man. He's a freak. Remember how Howard Levine supposedly beat some guy (Robert Friedland) up from Jill Kelly's booth. It was over Taylor Hayes. Robert had taken Taylor to dinner the night before.

Frank Feltrop writes: "Howard Levine need not worry about Robert Friedland and Taylor Hayes. He paid her for her "services" that night. Can someone please tell JKP to get some porn stars that actually enjoy or at least pretend to enjoy sex (other than Tabitha Stevens of course, she's the best thing JKP has going). I'd rather watch grass grow than watch Haven in a sex scene. Who made the call to give that girl a contract? They out to have their head examined."

If you go to JillKellyProductions.com, you had five names, including Devon. At the AVN Expo in January, Devon was JKP's fifth girl. She signed for JKP. But when Vivid's lawyers called Jill Kelly, the name Devon was removed but the page is still there. They won't smart enough to remove it:

From http://www.jillkellyproductions.com/devon.html

"I was born in Daytona Beach, FL on March 28th 1979. I started in adult films almost 2 years ago. I've been under an exclusive contract with Vivid Video ever since. I got my start though, as a stripper in a small town in Pennsylvania where I grew up. I worked at a club in Reading, PA called Al's Diamond Cabaret. While working there I met many of the big name adult stars who where coming through the club as feature entertainers. Eventually I started doing magazine layouts for Penthouse, Club and Club International to name a few...but I wanted more, so I decided to get into the adult business. I went straight to Vivid Video the best adult company in the business. The rest is history!"

Peter says: This backs up Danni Ashe's story that it is Jill Kelly Productions that Devon is in negotiations with.

Vivid Video will tell you that 4aday.com sells 90% of all of Devon's movies.

Technically, Devon can't act on camera anywhere until her contract expires in August. So even her web site is in violation because she goes on her own livecam. But Vivid does not plan to be that hard-assed about things. Vivid wants the Devon scandal to go away but Vivid's marketing department wants it to stay in the news because it sells her movies. Because right now, sales for her movies have plummeted. Her sales suck.

Until recently, it was back and forth who sold better - Devon or Jenna.

Devon looks very young. And that's what sells about her. Her innocence. But when it comes to acting, she doesn't portray anything other than innocence. In Pin Up, she tries to play confused and upset and can't pull it off.

Devon's a pleasurable sweet person. She's just one of those little girls that you want to protect.

Devon and Vivid need to get back together. Because Vivid markets her in the way she needs to be marketed. But as long as her boyfriend's around, that won't happen.

She was dating someone in the industry until a year ago...

Devon's boyfriend writes her Diary page on Devonxxx.com. He doesn't have a job except to work for her.

You understood Devon's medical surgery was an abortion?

Devon told GeneRossExtreme.com: "There's a few other things between myself and Steven [Hirsch]--comments that should not have been made from him. I was in the hospital over the summer and and I had a serious medical procedure. A few weeks later my hospital bills started coming in and I had to ask Steven for an advance which isn't something uncommon for girls to ask him. When I asked and he knew that I had been in the hospital and recovering, he pressured me to do anal. I had never done anal for anyone. I don't do it in my personal life. That's just me. I don't have a problem with anyone who does it, it's that I choose not to. When I had asked Steven for the advance after this serious surgery. He said okay I'll give you your advance if you give me anal, now. I thought, morally, for someone to say something like that to one of their employees, that was very disrespectful and pretty disgusting, to be honest."

Peter says: Devon told Hirsch that her abortion cost her $1500. Steve replied, 'Honey, I've been in this business for 20 years. I know how much an abortion costs. It's $500.' And she got pissed because she was busted on a lie.

"And about Steve insisting that she do anal. Steve was just kidding. Steve's a nice guy. He feels comfortable with the girls and they feel comfortable with him. She asked for money without saying why and he said, 'Yeah baby, do anal in the next movie and it is all yours.' It was joking. She said 'No, that's not in my contract.' Steve says, 'Whoa, calm down. I'm just kidding. What's going on?'

"So Devon breaks down and says she needs $1500 for a major surgery. Now Steve's married (?) to the sales woman at Video Team and he's about to become a father. Steve genuinely cares about the girls. So Steve, after the Leslie Glass thing, thinks Devon has cancer. And she says, 'Well, I'm pregnant. And I need to get an abortion. And it's $1500.' And if she had told the truth, that it's $500... He would've given her the money free and clear. But she asked for an advance.

"Devon's on the weekly payout plan. But since she lied about it and tried to scam him by fake crying, it pissed him off and he said 'No. You're under contract. You ask for weekly pay checks. That's what you'll get.'

"Two weeks before that, there was a major fight between Devon and Raylene over a Vivid on the set photographer who hit on Devon. Devon's boyfriend is possessive and took great exception to this photographer hitting on his girl. Devon tried to get the photographer fired. The photographer went to Howard Levine and said, 'She hit on me. She tried to give me a blowjob. And I turned her down.' I believe Devon.

"So Devon says, 'Fire him or I quit.' And they don't fire him because the other girls stuck up for him. Vivid knows Devon can't quit because she's under contract. Devon didn't realize this.

"Vivid thinks everything has died down. Devon's dancing at a club in Van Nuys. Raylene shows up with her brother and this photographer. Devon says to Raylene, 'Listen, we're friends. But you've got to get that photographer guy out of here. I've had problems with him. He's a dick.'

"Raylene didn't take Devon seriously. Raylene was majorly f---ed up on cocaine. Devon told the club manager, 'I refuse to go on stage until that man is out of here.' Of course the club manager escorted the guy out. Raylene freaked out and attacked the bouncer. They kicked Raylene out.

"Devon gets off stage. She's worried because she sees Raylene's brother there. Devon went to her car to check on it and Raylene was getting ready to key her car. [Drag a key over the paint job to ruin it.] So the bouncer, who's right behind Devon, carried Raylene off. And Raylene put her nail in the guy's neck and injured him.

"Devon says, 'Raylene, this is not worth it. This is not the way I am going to live.' Devon's pregnant and very emotional. So Devon published the story on her web site. Well, the thing we don't do in this business is publish about anybody. Especially no Vivid contract girl publishes anything negative about another Vivid contract girl. You don't call another Vivid girl a big coke head.

"Vivid spent more money marketing Devon than any other girl. More money on Devon than all the other girls combined. Well, considering that many of their other girls are skanks.

"Vivid fired its promotion person for Devon, Brian Gross. Devon didn't feel he was promoting her properly. Then Devon turned around and gave Brian a job with Jill Kelly."

Brian Gross tells Luke that he secured his own job with Jill Kelly Productions.

"Vivid's stuck in a position where they can't ask Devon back. Devon's blabbed about things that weren't always true in an effort to make herself look bad. So, someone's got to take the blame. Perhaps Luke, you might be the man to bring healing between Vivid and Devon and reunite this winning combination. Why not give the photographer the blame so Vivid and Devon can make up?

"Vivid's been really nice and lenient with Devon. If they wanted to, they could've nailed her. This is the saddest story. She could've been so big but she's blown it. There's no other company that can market her as Vivid did. Devon is so young and naive, you want to slap her. She'll be 25 years old next week."

From the largest Devon fan site on the net (owned by EroticVideos.com), www.4aday.com/gossip.html:

November 2000

Devon was caught reporting her date of birth as March 28, 1979 when most published reports have her official date of birth as March 28, 1977, making her two years older then even her "official" site would have you to believe. However our sources at Vivid tell us the truth is, taken directly from her driver's license which they have on file (seeing she's a Vivid Girl and all) is that her real date of birth is March 28, 1977.

Devon vs Raylene

On December 01 Vivid Girl Devon was performing a live show to a packed house in Van Nuys, CA when her friend and fellow Vivid Girl, Raylene stopped by to say hello. Raylene was accompanied by her brother and an unnamed, male photographer that Devon has reported having problems with in the past. Devon asked Raylene to have the photographer leave "out of respect for her" and Raylene reportedly said "I'm so sorry, I'm so f---ed up [on cocaine] right now. I didn't even know you were dancing tonight". Devon herself reports that Raylene was "f---ed up on her drug of choice, seed". Devon invited Raylene and her brother to stay but the photographer had to go. Before Devon went back on stage, she found the photographer was in fact still in the club so to avoid a scene she had security escort/drag him out. At which time Raylene is reported to have started an argument with the club manager before going backstage to start an argument with Devon.

Raylene left the club but only to go into the parking lot to attack Devon's car. When the security guard tried to stop her, she got into a fight with him and left him with a huge "gash" in his neck.

Devon vs Jenna Jameson

Dec. 30th: Her [Devon's] appointment [as the new queen of porn] was sealed with the announcement that she would be the Penthouse Pet for January 2001. Sure Jenna still has legions of fans and still makes an occasional movie, but judging by the dismal sales of her Jenna2K calendar and the major drop in her video sales, it looks like Jenna may never catch back up with Devon.

Jan 4

Devon was fast on her way to porn stardom and it seemed nothing could stop her ... that is until now. Our sources tell us that Devon has been fired from Vivid Video, the company that put her on the map.

Most of these irate fans all seem to have one thought in common, that Devon is being led around by some bad news boyfriend and because of him (this unnamed loser boyfriend) Devon is making all of her bad decisions.

As for Devon herself, she claims to have another contract already lined up. Rumor has it, that it's with Jill Kelly's movie company called Jill Kelly Entertainment. Although they may currently be offering her more money, JKE is very small in comparison to the massive marketing machine known as Vivid Video. So it will probably only serve to hurt her sales in the long run. Which means Devon's future in porn doesn't look good. She'll either have to make up with Vivid and go back to work for them or get stuck doing gang bangs and anal sex orgies for some loser company. That is, if any other movie company will take her.

Jan 19

Not only does Devon now have serious contract problems, but it seems that even her appearances are being cancelled. On January 12th she was scheduled to appear @ Eros Station in Van Nuys, CA but instead they brought in porn newbie, Dayton. (Yes, that's the trailer trash looking chick) When I called to see what the deal was, it seems they have "no comment" on the matter. So with no video contract in the works and companies cancelling her personal appearances left and right, it seems things for Miss Devon aren't looking so great. :(

So what all of this comes down to is Devon's wish NOT to work with a certain unnamed Vivid photographer. None of this would have probably ever taken place if it wasn't for this photographer. We should all find out who this jackass is and linch him. Because if it wasn't for him, Devon would still be with Vivid and we would all (her fans that is) have many years of new Devon stuff to look foward to.

Shanefan writes: Luke- I'm reading the assault on Devon on your page and thought I'd chime in. I like Devon and think she's a great adult star. I applaud the fact that she is no longer with Vivid.

There are some things you're way off on...or your sources are way off on: Devon, on her site, never said she left Vivid because they wouldn't give her serious roles. She said she left because Steve was being a jerk, and wanted to barter cash advances for anal work. I don't know if THAT is true, but she never stated she left for more serious roles.

Also, it was never stated that Raylene was on coke. It was stated on Devon's site that Raylene was on "Seed" or pot. There's a pretty big difference there.

That being said, who IS this "Peter" guy? He sounds like Steve Hirsch's little bitch! As much as I don't like Vivid's movies, I think Steve is a genius business man and treats his girls well.

I don't see why he'd tell the "Devon Story" to this guy who would turn around and (no offense) tell you. Also, I detect some serious holes in Peters story.

1. He says Devon wanted an abortion and came to Steve looking for $1500. Steve thought it was CANCER? Yeah man, $1500 will really clear up cancer. Also, I don't know Devon really well, but I'll bet she does know that Steve KNOWS an abortion isn't $1500....yet, she may not have....

Second. Peter bags on Devon's acting and says she can't act. He says she can only portray innocence. THEN he says "Devon's on the weekly payout plan. But since she lied about it and tried to scam him by fake crying, it pissed him off and he said 'No. You're under contract." If she's such a s---ty actress, why did he believe her and her "serious surgery" dilemma? Are you saying Steve is fooled by a poor actresses poor acting skills? I doubt he is.....

Yet ANOTHER odd thing you say is that Vivid and Devon need to get back together because Vivid knows how to market her. Prior to that bizarre statement, you concur with everyone who says "The Pin Up" sucks because Devon can't act. Vivid made "The Pin Up" and cast Devon plus gave her the script! If they know how to market her so well, (as the innocent) why the hell did they put her in that movie in THAT role?

Over all Peter, I think the thing that annoys me the most is the fact you're airing out Devon's dirty laundry. I don't WANT to know she had an abortion. It's none of my or anybody else's business! Granted, I'm a nosy f---er cuz I read this site, but I like reading about the bizarre antics of people in the business. And, of course, I like reading Luke argue with himself while thinly disguised as Chaim. I don't want to know about tragic, emotional NON STORIES that are only brought to light by lap dogs like you. Quit kissing Vivid's ass...they can fight their own battles. And more importantly, if you're going to attack or slam somebody, don't constantly contradict yourself. And furthermore...leave Devon alone...she'll be a bigger and better star with Jill anyways...

Gossip On Ex-Vivid Girl Devon

Danni.com has the scoop on Devon. Here are some excerpts:

Devon says: "It's funny they have me on so many of their box covers because I don't feel like I'm the star of that movie or any others," she explains somberly. "I was basically the pretty girl who has a few sex scenes and ends up dying in every Vivid Video I've ever done. They were not interested in giving me a chance to act or take on a real character whatsoever."

Though she will not be able to perform in films until her contract with Vivid is up in August, she's already making plans for that bright and sunshiny day. "I'm in negotiations with a couple companies right now, but I can't really specify. I plan on doing another contract for at least a year or two, preferably with a company that has a really strong family vibe." My spies tell me those two companies are Digital Playground and Jill Kelly Productions -- quite fitting considering Devon's strong desire for a feeling of unity. The "family vibes" are stronger at DP and JKP than any I've seen in the last five years.

Vivid Devon Movie 'The Pin Up' Blasted

From 4aday.com:

If there is ever a movie I would say don't buy - well, this is it. I mean, if you are a Devon fan it is your choice but the only thought that comes to my mind after watching this movie is "oh how fast Devon's star has fallen". She claims in an interview that she left Vivid because they wouldn't give her a chance to act. Well truth is - and don't get me wrong I love Devon - but now I know why Vivid won't let her. She can't act. The plot of the movie WOULD have been great given a better director and cast. But it did serve one good purpose. It reminds us why we all came to love Devon .... because she is beautiful. If she would remember that, she would do good. But I do pray that she doesn't attempt to act again in the future. Her role in "If Looks Could Kill" was great but it was limited. When they actually gave Devon a ton of dialog, she just couldn't pull it off. I love Devon. I think she is beautiful. But I also think she should stick with what she does best - LOOK BEAUTIFUL and leave the rest behind.

As for the director [Guillermo Brown?] of this movie - well, I give him credit for one thing... making me realized how much being a good director (like Paul Thomas) is an actual art form. No this isn't about plot. This is purely a sexual thing. When I watch a porno I want to see beautiful naked girls having SEX. This movie was not that. I can't even think of a way to describe what this movie was.

And to our friends at Vivid Video, whom I'm sure will eventually find out about this review: I'm sorry but as a major fan of your work, I have never been more disappointed in the Vivid name. I have come to expect only the best when I see the words "Vivid Video" on the label of a box cover. The sex in this movie was almost non-exsistant, the girls were worse than scanky, the makeup artist for Devon (in the first of the movie) should IMMEDIATELY be terminated for ever letting Devon put on pink frost lip stick with a maroon lip liner and as for the director, well perhaps you were just being nice giving a newbie a chance but perhaps you should keep those newbie directors with Vivid Raw products, where they belong.
