They picked a bad weekend. There was a SEVERE shortage of hotelrooms (I couldn't book one 3 months ahead, way beryond most people's abilities to plan), the quarter was too full...etc. Someone's happy attempt to kill me and a friend don't affect my view. AVN should have thought twice before doing the show at that time in that city. It turned out to be a very expensive convention for alot of companies. When hotel rooms are in the $250-$350 a night range for each of your staff, plus shipping your booth, plus plus plus, well, things get out of hand pretty damn quick. Las Vegas is easy - there are tons of hotels, it was possible to book things up to about 2 weeks ago, and it is pretty close for a big part of our industry. Not a bad thing, really.

As you confess -- that is, agree with God about your sin -- you also need to repent. To repent is to turn from, to go the other direction. When dealing with pornography, it is a decision that often must be made continuously. Don't stop repenting -- even if it is the 8,472nd time.

A thorough separation from the pornography is necessary. This calls for a complete house cleaning. Get rid of any kind of magazine, video, or other pornographic stimuli within your home, car, boat, or other possession. Get rid of the VCR and television if you must. Watch out for covert pornography in Newsweek, Time, and National Geographic. They are not as innocent as they may appear.
