Adultdex in Las Vegas appears low key. RJB is meeting with webmasters there from 1-6PM this afternoon.

Adult Revenue Service Scam

Shap writes: Hi Luke. The Problem with our Industry is that Low Lifes like Adult Revenue Service, are (in my opinion) commiting FRAUD to their customers and getting the credit card companies and the government after our industry.

How is Adult Revenue Service commiting fraud? Well everybody knows that Oct 27th was the $100 day right? Well I joined to see and canceled within an hour of joining. I got the Cancel Confirmation. Never will be billed again. Now today I get my Visa Statement and look at the Adult Revenue Service or BEG Inc. billed me $39.95 for what?

For the ARS Site that Ibill is telling me I never canceled. Well seems to me that BEG Inc is pulling a scam on its customers that try to cancel. What happens when you call Ibill? Nothing they tell you "Ok Sir we will credit your account". That is bulls---. Beg Inc. Is commiting fraud and there is no place in this industry for that bulls---. It takes from each and every one of our pockets in the long run.

Marc you bitched and moaned that you lost alot of money on Oct 27th, Nice to see how you are making up for it now by screwing innocent surfers and in the long run SCREWING each and every one of the webmasters on this board. Nice Job!

Everytime you consider a new sponsor it is wise to look into how they bill. How they process and what forms of transactions they perform. I subscribe to every site that I have ever re-sold (Though made most of the sites that I sell) and look for quality value in a site. Look at the upsell factor... Is a subscriber to this site gonna end up signing up for another "Awesome" site inside? Will you be commisioned for this action or not? Look for excess in upsell's. I personally check to see how a sites technical stance is on Adult screening. Dialers?? f--- no! They do not verify age. Which has the potential to be most devastating to our networks in the future. I personally judge the site sometimes shoot a nut to it, but only if it's really good. Test the bitch out ya know? Then unsubscribe.

See what happens next. If unsubscribing is odd or obscure, bridged with technicalities this is not a good site to re-sell obviously. Besides don't ya want them to convert then unsubscribe to return to your site for another subscribe to make another commission? If the customer you sent to a site has a f---ed experienced you will have a f---ed return visitor unlikely to subscribe who may have called his creditor.

Consider everything, I personally do not recommend running with 1 sponsor who has 10 or sometimes more cookie cut sites then brand them as niche Asian, Hardcore, Black, Eurotrash what ever sites. The sites are usually the same and if s--- hits the fan with that sponsor your gonna be to dependent on them.

I personnally do not trust Ibill, Epoch's bulls--- they been around to long and are fat targets in the future just because they both do so many transactions, and lack proper method's of customer service. It will be hard for them to remain unscathed in the future. But many sites depend on them soo... Thats just a risk most of you webmasters have to take and await. Fraudulant or unusuall billing practices are gonna be the end of this whole mother f---er.

Most of you here are not dumbs---s, infact most of ya are more likely in the higher percentage of intelligent talents alive today. With this intelligence be it a curse or gift we must always consider the future and bigger picture aspect. If your in this business to make a quick buck please leave the building cause that's gonna sink us, and if you been around a while check out the newbie's that come to you, are they an advantage? Are they gonna hurt our industry? Find out.

Porn PR - The Good, The Bad & The Aggressive

A mainstream producer had a great idea for using adult girls in his next project. So he called Vivid PR guy Brian Gross who was most helpful. Then two weeks later he called back and found that Brian was gone and that Vivid had a PR agency in New York now representing them. So he called the PR agency and got this obnoxious woman on the line.

So the producer has decided to stay away from using Vivid.

Condom Dilemma

Gresham's Porno Law - Bad Drives Out Good

Pat Riley writes on RAME: 1) Gresham's law applies here too. While raincoaters might love Max, they'd watch PT if there were nothing else (not that I'm advocating watching PT's movies).
