Vivid Video Goes DVD Broadband
Vivid Video will launch their whole catalogue online in the next few weeks, offering DVD quality feeds fullscreen over the broadband internet to people's personal computers.
XXX: They are going to blow people away with this technology. Blockbuster is doing something similar. You'll be able to rent any movie in Blockbuster's catalogue, over the web, in full DVD quality.
The costs of this new technology still have to be brought under control. Just showing a demonstration to about ten webmasters for about ten minutes each at a recent trade show, cost one exhibitor about $15,000.

Why would anyone think that telling a woman her job as a nude performer was contingent upon a boob job would be prosecutable? Guys, you've never come to women's defense like this before! There are no legal nor criminal charges available to defend women with poor self esteem who make themselves over per the demands of men. We dye our hair, pull out our body hair bit by bit, mutilate our breasts, all with society's approval. "If you have your breasts enlarged, I will pay you more money," is not a threat. It is an option.
Just a few months ago, we were lauding Kendra Jade's decision to endure rigorous and unnecessary plastic surgery, and we were insulting me because I choose not to maintain a bikini poodle cut, even though I am not performing and have forsaken casual sex.
For Cheyenne, and for so many women, the sweet concern shown by "Someone" is too little, too late. Women begin to destroy their bodies in junior high school in hopes of pleasing men. They adopt unrealistic body images, believing that unless they look like supermodels, men won't find them attractive.
Think of how it must feel to be a fourteen-year-old girl, taking into account the pressures of a society which encourages women to cripple themselves in poorly fitting high heels, to hunch over to hide their breasts from unwanted commentary, to hate themselves for not looking like freaks (Do men flagellate themselves for not looking like basketball players, and then stuff themselves full of chocolate cake in self hatred? I think not!) and to generally waste their time and money "improving themselves" to live up to the aesthetic standards of strangers!
Cheyenne's poor ruined breasts play right into my next adventure, though, as I have decided that becoming a veterinarian assistant is not for me. Not the grades, as I'm still holding a GPA of 3.8; and not the animals, which I love.

Whether I ever meet another man who can appreciate me or not, I work very hard on keeping my butt small, firm and delicious. I do this for myself, as an act of pride and self-esteem. I cannot imagine fitting in amongst the fat butt tribe -- they will hate me from the beginning. I cringe when I see an organization run by overweight women, because, even though they don't realize it, "I have low self esteem" circles their heads like the cartoon birdies in a Roger Rabbit cartoon. Therefore I have changed my major to Fitness Technology.
I am getting to like the athletic crowd more and more. They don't complain about me wanting to increase my ability to its maximum potential, to take on a challenge, to be self-disciplined. They have small butts, or at least are working on decreasing their butt size. They understand setting one's personal goals and trying to achieve or best them.... I plan to focus my coursework and research for the three term program on improving women's body image and self esteem through a holistic program of exercise, nutrition and applied psychology. Brothel Fires Labeled As Arson Attacks
(IsraelWire-8/16) Four women lost their lives on Tuesday morning when a predawn blaze erupted in a two-story structure on southern Tel Aviv's Golomb Street. I blame SexTracker [webmaster stats program] for child pornography because he gave them tools. He gave them a search tool. You can put in 'child porn' and bang, you've got a listing.
It's no longer functional. Because he was called on the carpet about it. SexTracker had a search feature so that the surfer could narrow it down to preferences. And it was easy to use SexTracker through this search tool to get a listing of the Lolita sites and others that suggest child pornography. Edmond eventually admitted to this, and said that this search function is now a backdoor for the feds only.
If you're such a brilliant botanist, why did you mismanage SexTracker from the beginning? Why not just dump the SexTracker database and start over? And bring it up clean and controlled and filtered. The answer is clear. For him to rebuild SexTracker, that would be an enormous financial loss.
Now Andy has been held accountable. Unfortunately it took the public eye and the Cybernet Expo but he's tightening things up. But I still think, you are not my Messiah. DVD Censorship
LetsDiscuss writes on RAME: I am interested in purchasing "Cellar Dweller" and "Week & 1/2 in the Life of a Prostitute". I have seen clips posted on Usenet, and the action is intense (especially Tricia's scenes). And Rob Black is one of my favorite directors.
However, I am hestitant because my previous experience with Elegant Angel DVDs wasn't good. Gangbang Angel #1 was censored without any warning to the consumer. The slapping & spitting scene was cut entirely, the riming scene was shortened, and someone else had reported that other bits were missing as well. I ended up returning it to my vendor for a non-EA title.
I boycott Vivid DVDs because of their arrogant attitude of repeatedly censoring without informing, and I have been avoiding EA as much as possible ... however, I really do like these 2 titles. Has anyone seen these 2 DVDs, are they completely intact?

2001: A Sex Odyssey

Porn offers a unique, anomalous, and very well defined way of looking at human sexuality, so I'm very serious about: 1)providing an evolutionary tale to explain the development of today's sex industry and 2)defining the motivations behind it. Let me finish the idea of lesbian breeding as an alternative to heterosexual monogamy. I theorize, as part of my prehistory of X, that heterosexual monogamy eventually won out over lesbian breeding as a family unit because it enabled a male-dominated, patriarchal society to develop, whereas lesbian breeding did not. Since males had the power, they were able to lead the family unit in creating modern societies. I would further like to speculate that, as venereal disease is a major cause of sterility, VD itself effectively limited the success of lesbian breeding(the women's chances of spreading VD to other lesbian breeders as a result of infection were essentially doubled, causing massive sterility among the lesbian breeders, so the heterosexuals eventually won out).
I'd also like your audience to consider the adaptive advantage lesbians would have if their tribe were captured by wild males. I believe they would be far better able to adapt to the anonymous group sex that would normally be a part of their initiation into their new tribes. I'd also like to go a bit further in defining lesbian breeders as the modern day equivalent of what are known in lesbian culture as "ultrafemmes" with the additional qualification that many of these women, namely those in the sex industry, are bi/lesbians. I like to call them femme-femmes because they are typically highly attractive, highly exhibitionistic couples, choosing other highly feminine femmes rather than butch dykes. As a side note, ultrafemmes are mysteriously marginalized and even considered a curiosity and oddity within their own modern day lesbian culture. Lesbians are actually afraid of them(perhaps this suggests an additional evolutionary adaptation, as these ultrafemmes say they enjoy the fear they induce in their fellow lesbians with their exhibitionistic displays. Let me also point out for the readers of l-keford.com that ANY heterosexual women in the sex industry(on this site, namely Brandy and Lynne) will always have a marginalized role in the sex industry, and be constantly fighting for legitimacy, since they are unable to partake of the support network of bisexual and lesbian women which IS the sex industry, and they are thus forever doomed to be illegitimate, outsiders, and ultimately irrelevant to the sex industry. This must always occur precisely because they are heterosexual women. You might even brand such women heterosexual "outlaws" or "imposters". Also, reader, when will porn actresses be strong enough as individuals to come out publicly as lesbians within the sex industry? Probably never, since they would therey lose their male audiences.
Finally, a final critical point to make regarding lesbian breeding in the modern day. Not only are the women of the sex industry overwhelmingly bisexual and lesbian(even though the males and heterosexuals of the sex industry are willingly and dysfunctionally blind to this obvious reality), but BI/LESBIANISM ITSELF IS A REGRESSIVE CONDITION PRODUCED, EVEN TODAY, BY CONDITIONS OF "CAPTIVE SEX", NAMELY IMPRISONMENT(note the regression to lesbianism that naturally occurs, as an evolutionary adaptation, within the prison population), AND ALSO IN SITUATIONS OF INCEST, which is simply a modern day form of sexual slavery, as many of these girls ultimately escape into the sex industry to "come out" as lesbians, working alongside other bi/lesbians in a support network of sorts, loosely speaking. My theory would also predict that a similar REGRESSION TO LESBIANISM occurs within the modern day sex slavery trade, and gives these bi/lesbians an adaptive advantage over any hetero women in successfully adapting to slavery, and possibly even flourishing, in relation to their heterosexual counterparts. As Roger points out, the choice of what one finds sexually arousing is intensely personal, and there has got to be a wide variety of flavors to suit all different tastes, in porn as in soda pop. But this is a classic civil liberties argument: your enjoyment of your own private sexual fantasies ends when it infringes on my right to lead a safe, sane life.
Pornography is sexually-oriented, non-criminal, non-obscene speech. Prurient material is sexually oriented speech which is obscene because it is unhealthy. Sleaze is distasteful, but not obscene. Sleaze is fishnet stockings, cigarettes drooping from the lips, casual sex in back alleys.... No pain, no blood, no more prurience than a flirtation with the wild side. Goofy perhaps for those of us who live real lives, but understandable excess for others who are bound up in their own morality and goodness. Good Girl wearing white vs.. Bad Girl wearing red and black. Not dead girl lying in her own excretion and vomit....
It may be true that "nothing Vivid, Zen or Blake puts out is erotic." I personally don't find this type of pornography erotic, but that porn SHOULD therefore be rough, brutal, degrading, kinky, perverse etc doesn't necessarily follow.
When Discrete says that the only difference (between Vivid porn and Paul "Max Hardcore" Little's porn) is that "if the guy talks dirty and the girl isnt smiling as large dicks and objects get shoved up their asses, then its somehow borders on criminal," he actually approaches truth.
According to the Miller Test for obscenity, with which I suggest you familiarize yourself really quickly, Discrete, this is CRIMINAL. It is prurient. It is sick. Healthy sexuality does not find the degradation of one's partner arousing. Only sick sexuality enjoys seeing people hurt in the name of sex. And sick sexuality is way prosecutable, friends.

To admit to preferring to see the degradation of women over an erotic portrayal of sexuality is to admit prurience. We need to eradicate it before it tarnishes our right to speak freely about sexual issues, because if the porn community, which supposedly is more enlightened about such things and can more easily distinguish between different types of sexually-oriented material, cannot tell the difference between what is legal and what is not, others will make that choice for us. And they are not going to pick and choose -- they will ban all of it!
Slut...whore...prostitute....porn performer.... are the words interchangeable? Do they mean the same thing? And do men and women who earn money from any facet of sex work deserve to be treated badly or with less respect than men and women who do not? Are men and women who have sex for money "opportunistic sluts?" If so, why treat them badly for doing a job? They need to be hurt? American women need to be hurt?
This is not about sexuality, folks, it is about hatred, vengeance and prurience. Sex work may well be a valid source of income, especially for women when men and women make such disparate amounts of money in most other occupations. The pay is good, the hours are reasonable, the risks...the risks are the trade off for the pay. Like boxing. I fail to understand why selling one's soul, body and brain for $7 an hour to a carwash is acceptable whereas selling one's self for anal sex for $500 an hour to Ed Powers is not. Surely the former employee is far more exploited than the latter!

If porn is really "depraved filth," it is illegal, and should be prosecuted. Max scares us because he takes one very scary, very sordid and very prosecutable element of sexuality, polishes it off and holds it up to the light as the status quo. It is ugly. It is evil. It tarnishes the rest of the industry who, to their own discredit, are more concerned with kissing ass over at Adult Video News and, with turds still hanging from their mouths, paying some strange, perverted lip service to the concept of free speech.
Unfortunately there are enough men who hate women to create a market for the type of material exemplified by "Max Hardcore." Serial killers, for example. These men are not healthy. Material which jacks their jollies is not healthy, but prurient and therefore illegal.
Even if porn IS sleaze, should women be raped in the process of making it? No, because then we are committing two crimes, that of making obscene material, and that of rape. An intoxicated woman cannot give consent, which is why reputable directors shy away from having drugs and alcohol on the set. Videotaping consensual sex is legal; videotaping rape is not.
Roger, you ask if women should be forced to make body changes? No woman in the history of porn has ever been forced to make a body change. These are personal choices, like choosing to take or quit a job, wear a uniform, cut your hair for a job.

We could debate all day (and I have too often with a couple of folks on RAME), what constitutes "forced", but we're getting into semantics there. The fact is there are different types of "forced". There have been some astonishing tactics pulled by porn low-lifes to squeeze a woman who either wants to do porn or financially feels she has no immediate alternatives. Your comparison is woefully misguided and doesn't apply, though I can agree to a point these are "personal choices". However, if these choices are forced by someone else's hand...how can they be called a "personal choice"? Lynne: If you join the Marine Corps you will have to have your hair cut, and you know that going in. But you need not be expected to suffer permanent injury during boot camp, even though it could happen. Should it happen, the military will compensate you. Women with unattractive breasts can make the decision to have them "improved" or to find another career where breast attractiveness is not so vital an employment qualification.

More importantly, what about allowing women (or men) to work at a job if they are interested in it? Vital qualification my ass. Fake tits were practically non-existent in porn (and most other entertainment and life) a decade ago, so what (or more like who) changed the requirement? Performing sex on camera and dancing don't require someone to have fake breasts. And you know as well as I that many of the women shepherded into the office of the latest ENT to hang up a shingle as a "cosmetic surgeon" had very attractive natural breasts. Sometimes perfect C or even D cups. So why should these women, with attractive natural breasts, be pressured to get breast implants if they want to work in the industry? You make it sound like every woman either had "unattractive breasts" or was influenced not by the porn business, but by the cultural. When so many of them would not have gotten implants had it not been for them being in porn, this simply isn't true.
And does this mean porn is compensating women who have suffered damage from breast implant surgery? Or are you trying to say they pay them off? I don't see much outreach. More like "shut up if you know what's good for you (bitch)". Not that different than the Max treatment and it comes from far more powerful people in the industry. Agents, directors, producers.
Coming from a woman who seems to be a deep thinker and have a very analytical mind, you continually surprise me with your lack of analysis in this area. It constantly comes off defensive of the porn industry and like you are rationalizing and exusing the whole thing. You certainly misplace the blame and come off sounding just like your friends at AVN (yes, I know your feeling about them and agree with you there too). I could give you many examples of horror stories involving this.
Lynne: Most women have really poor body images, and are easily swayed into believing that they can be improved upon, and young women are especially prone to such bulls---. It is culturally pervasive, starting long before a woman makes the decision to get involved with porn. Every women's magazine now contains ads for breast "enhancement." Non-porn women have made breast augmentation plastic surgery one of the most popular elective surgeries in the country. Roger, dear, perhaps you are simply out of touch with real women.

Most men who submerge themselves in the adult industry don't have the self esteem to voice their own opinions. I feel I made a damn good trade off -- the porn business for Luke F-rd's respect. Stop equivocating, Roger. Either he scares you or he doesn't. Personally, he terrifies me. He appeals to the prurient interest and his work is likely not only to be confused with all sexually oriented entertainment, but is validating prurient, unhealthy sexuality by its continued existence. I've met Paul Little, aka Max Hardcore, and he is a very personable guy, but he is not heterosexual, does not love women, finds it easy to abuse them and will escalate his abuse until he is stopped.

Perhaps my comments on women being 'forced' into body changes needed a bit of framing. There is an ongoing debate that perhaps some people in the business have pressured/forced/fill in your own word, women to have implants. No, I'm not out of touch with real women. I married one.
I don't discount you because you're a woman Lynne. The fact is, I don't read a lot of the long rambling discussions on sites any more. I asked Discrete these questions because he represents one faction of porn fans. A very vocal faction, but one that should speak up. Women are not property and if you think I am in the 'they get what they deserve' faction, then you haven't been paying attention to anything I've said. I'm not afraid to challenge Discrete or anyone Lynne. I just don't see the point in it. I could argue with you or with him until I'm blue in the face, but I'm not going to budge either of you.
Finally, I'm still not afraid of Max. Why should I be? Would I send a friend of mine to work for him? Hell no. Do I think what he does to women on screen is good? No. But, until someone can prove he has done something off screen, there is nothing anyone can do. You've made some great points, but to come after me for being polite, or moderate on issues of choice and preference is a kinder way of calling me a "fairy."

Then, take that 1500 uniques and say that AT LEAST 50% of them are the SAME people reading the OTHER boards also....which maybe makes up about 750 individuals or "uniques" that are being recycled to these boards. Not a very large audience which is why all the sponosors and advertisers are not getting much of a return. Then add in the fact that almost all of these same people already know about the top programs like MaxCash, CE, CEN, PMB and the like and you see something wrong?? At least I do..... ;) then I hear people saying we're targetting the "newbie" market.......hehehe......what newbie market?? Pretty soon there won't be much of a newbie market to talk about as far as i'm concerned........

Look at table 15, which breaks down incarceration by type of crime for state prisons (only 10% of our prison population is in Federal prison). Contrary to what Reverend Jessie Jackson says and what gullible people believe, only about one fourth (134,800) of the black prison population (531,000) is there for drug offenses of any kind. Far more (257,700) are there for violent offenses, including murder (67,000), rape or other sexual assault (27,000), robbery (96,700) and other violent attacks (57,000). So when you read that about a third of young black men are in prison, awaiting trial, or on parole, or that "an estimated 9% of black males in their late twenties were in prison in 1999" (p. 9 of this report), you need to realize that they generally have not been sent there for drug offenses. Interestingly enough, when you consider that these totals are greater than the numbers for whites - even though whites outnumber blacks by about 7 or 8 to one in this country - you begin to see the enormity of the crime problem's racial component.
Yes, we could set every non-violent drug offender free, but this likely would infuriate the very communities that Lynne purports to be in sympathy with, leaving them naked to the drug trade, and still leave the vast majority of black (and white) prisoners in place.
PS I am willing to consider supporting the legalization of most drugs, provided those of us who do not use them could be assured that we would not have to clean up after those of us who do (whose numbers likely would grow).
