Narcisism Costs Ford Chance at TV

Lynne writes: Luke F-rd, the bad boy chronicler of porn, lost his opportunity to host a TV talk show aimed at adult cable networks when his legendary narcissistic personality disorder caused conflict with adult video producer Lynne L-patin last weekend.

Ford, who "operates a one-man star chamber rummaging through the private lives of porn personalities" (Bob Armstrong, www.xmag.com), is unable to cooperate in any kind of team effort, according to L-patin, who says she'd rather clean kennels at minimum wage than waste any more time on a self-centered prima donna who obviously prefers an audience of himself in the mirror than a national television audience.

A "shaggy-haired, acid-washed Brad Pitt [who] serves as the industry's Matt Drudge" (The Weekly Standard,) Luke F-rd's first book, A History of X (Prometheus Books, 1999) received unfavorable reviews primarily due to Ford's lack of continuity and editing. Ford had asked L-patin to ghost-write his next few books for him, based on the vast amount of unorganized half-truths to be found on his website, but, after last weekend's broadcast business fiasco, she vehemently declined the possibility of any mutual projects in the future.

"He has real trouble working with other people," said L-patin. "Everything has to be 'my way or the highway' with Luke. I was planning to call the program "The Luke F-rd Show" and cut him in for fifty percent of the profit, but that wasn't enough for Luke. He wants to make 100% of the decisions. He wants to tell me when and where to work with him. He wants to tell me when to eat and when to take a piss, and it has to be convenient for him. Luke expects me to obtain all the funding and do all the work based on my track history of creating innovative, mature adult programming, but he thinks he can tell me how to go about it. And, when I disagree, I'm the crazy one. "'The Luke F-rd Show' wasn't even a good enough title for him -- he wanted to call the show "Me, Me, Me, Me and More of Me."

Ford recently underwent an extensive battery of psychological testing in Australia, paid for by his family who are concerned that Luke will never reach his full potential. He was diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, sufferers from which show a complete inability to place proper value on others' needs and desires. The mental health experts who diagnosed Ford believe it will take at least eight years of intensive psychotherapy to bring him to a normal state of functioning.

"I don't have eight years to wait for Luke to learn how to interact as a normal person," L-patin said. "Even if he does look like a young Warren Beatty. I have things to do, places to go, biology tests to take and a Labrador who didn't eat the entire time I was in Sacramento waiting for an hour of Luke's attention. I thought having a television show was what he wanted, and I only want to see Luke happy. But asking him to cooperate in even the simplest fashion is like asking a quadriplegic to run a marathon."

"There are two people in this supposed 50/50 relationship. One of them is a warm, loving, caring person who wants to see Ford succeed. The other is a narcissistic, self-centered Aussie who only wants to hear the sound of his own charming, eloquent voice. Someday Luke may be able to tear himself away from the mirror and listen to me, especially since I've already demonstrated that I do have his best interests at heart, but for now, he expects to have his own way 100% of the time and believes he's right to punish me should I ask for anything," L-patin sighed. "Obviously Luke F-rd thinks that because he's so pretty, TV shows will fall from the sky and land at his perfect feet. I wish him luck."

Over a dozen messages were left with Ford in an attempt to get his comments on the situation, but apparently he was too busy impressing himself with the depth of his witty, intelligent self-adoration to bother returning calls.

Riddle of the Day What common L.A. tree is named after Luke F-rd's hands? Date palms.

Brandy Alexandre replies: I think it's Lynne who is suffering a bit from the "me, me, me" syndrome. You said you drove 70mph to Sacramento. Wasn't that fast enough? Did you actually tell her you'd be there waiting with the same singular obsession for her that she has for you? Did she really believe that you were there more to hang out with her than to cover the events for l-keford.com--your job? And, when I was producing and directing movies, I had a couple of crew-type people come to me asking me to hire them based on their many years of great success in film and television, but that only leaves me with the question, "Yes, but where are you now?" While I gave some of them greater consideration for the jobs they were seeking, I wouldn't pay the exorbitant amounts they wanted for a day's work in porn. People who have years of experience and a track record of success wouldn't ordinarily be anywhere near a porn set unless there was something terribly amiss in their alleged fantastic career. You can't live in the past. She may say she'd rather clean kennels, but you cannot turn your back on the fact that she *is* cleaning kennels.

No, I'm not in love with Luke, as Lynne has hinted on occasion. Luke has his faults... a great big bushel of faults... massive all-consuming faults... but Lynne has a number of completely unrealistic expectations of Luke. He had a lot to do and a lot to cover in Sacramento. And, I think bringing the pining labrador into the discussion was laughable as a last ditch effort to generate sympathy, if not for Lynne, for the dog she left behind to be with "her man." :::snicker:::

MikeSouth.com writes: Luke, Luke, Luke.... Excuse me when, exactly has Lynne done any work in mainstream television? Don't you see a pattern here? First it was Dave Hardman, now its you. I mean the woman actually says Dave Hardman can act...granted he was probably acting like he was enjoying it while he was banging away on her, aside from that his thespian skills are on a level somewhere between a Mexican with a leaf blower and chinese laundry worker.

Goddess writes: Don't know, don't care who's at fault with this Lynne thing, Luke, but that bit about leaving messages for yourself was very funny. Why aren't you in Canne?? BTW, "Amused" ranked on Gene two days in a row now. I'm DEFINATELY suspicious of you, Luke F-rd.

Lynne writes: The disease issue, as it pertains to HIV and Hepatitis C transmission in the adult industry, IS primarily a hoax. The cases of HIV transmission in the porn industry involved females having unprotected anal sex with male IV drug users, specifically one irresponsible individual. We avoid talking about drug use in a responsible fashion. Everyone who participates in porn as performers is tested far more conscientiously than the guys one meets in civilian life. The woman who wrote is at more risk of contracting diseases from her trusted boyfriend than in the industry, especially if she doesn't use a condom with her boyfriend. Look at the CDC statistics and compare the number of sex acts in the business and the rate of HIV transmission with that in the general population. Comparatively few women contract AIDS through sex as opposed to those who are themselves IV drug users. Those that do are having sex with IV drug users, rather than through promiscuity with non-IV drug users. Other diseases, especially gonorrhea and chlamydia, are rampant in the porn industry as well as in the general population. Chlamydia is unfortunately a real problem, because males are frequently asymptomatic. Condom use is still the best available protection for those who prefer not to practice abstinence.

Steven, you are right -- we need to tell our sex partners who we are having sex with, whether we're in porn or just sluts of either sex. I guess I assumed that the woman who wrote in was not yet having sex with her "boyfriend" and wanted to discuss the issue of her involvement in porn before the relationship went further. If a person is promiscuous, they need to use condoms and receive regular testing.

Lynne's daughter writes Luke: First of all i am almost 17 and I have not spoken to my mother for almost 2 years. My mother never showed me porn, but also never tried to hide it from me either. I was molested by my step-brother and one of them even tried to force me to have sex with him. I did not tell Bruce of this because I loved him very much. My father never hurt my mother, it was the other way around. She hit him and cheated on him with a married man with children. My mother also use to abuse me. Me and my father and step-mother moved to seattle to get me away from LA and my mother. I now have a brother and a sister, something my mother could or would never give me. She also only wanted to be a mother when she wanted to. She didn't care about me or my father, just herself. She didn't send me to my fathers to give me a better life, I wanted to go live with my father because there i got toys and nice clothes and my own room. When my mothers boyfriends would come over I slept in the kitchen, also when she started dating Bruce she wanted me to spend more time with my father because she said I was an embarrassment to her and she didn't want me around. She only cares ! ! for herself. Maybe at one time she cared for me, but that is long in the past. Also if she has anything to say to me like I'm just going to hurt her, she needs to say it to my face. She is 4'11 102 and I'm 5'3 132, so I could take her on and win.

Porn Web Regulates Self

SEATTLE, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Flying Crocodile, Inc. today unveiled a free quality-assurance program that allows providers of adult content on the Internet to identify their web sites as the work of responsible web publishers who conduct their activities ethically and within existing legal guidelines.

Called iQcheck(TM) short for Internet Quality Check(TM) the new service provides an iQcheck(TM) seal to be displayed on participating web sites. The seal links to an automated system that tracks reports Flying Crocodile receives from the web-browsing public of abuse issues such as copyright infringement, unsolicited bulk email (spam) and exploitation of minors.

Scott Byhre, President of Flying Crocodile says, "We receive numerous emails every day questioning the content on the web sites we host. Queries can range from concerns about the age of the models portrayed on the sites to questions about copyrights on specific images."

"Unethical webmasters reflect negatively on everyone in this industry. They also hamper the efforts of responsible publishers in the adult Internet community," says Andrew Edmond, CEO of Flying Crocodile. "It is in our own interest, and in the interests of the adult content community at large, to provide this service free of charge."

Also free of charge, iQcheck(TM) offers Free Content so that anyone can run legal adult websites. "This is a great aid for any adult webmaster to take advantage of. We will now provide them with thousands of legal photos to add to their site for free," Edmond added.

Recent high-profile indictments of citizens who were involved in surfing underage pornography on line have heightened adult web users' fears of unwittingly being caught viewing sites that present such material without labeling it as such. iQcheck(TM) gives these viewers a means to identify sites that specifically warrant that the content within them is legal. A visitor to an adult site who questions the content of a site, or who believes they have been spammed by a site that carries the iQcheck(TM) seal, can simply click on the seal itself to go directly to Flying Crocodile's iQcheck(TM) home page, where they may report the perceived abuse. The user will then be notified of any action taken as a result of their complaint. Users may also revisit the iQcheck(TM) home page to track the status of their reports.

Flying Crocodile also commonly receives queries from attorneys questioning the source of published materials on hosted web sites when they feel they've encountered a copyrighted image or other intellectual property that may belong to a client. The iQcheck(TM) home page provides an automated system for these sorts of complaints as well. "The iQcheck(TM) system is a clear statement that Flying Crocodile takes abuse issues seriously and is dedicated to resolving those issues reported," said iQcheck(TM) product manager Robert Amodeo. "The system we have put in place is very clear and thorough in its processes. This is especially useful to the legal community which needs to be assured that its concerns are not being neglected." Web surfers may view Flying Crocodile's complete policy on abuse at the iQcheck(TM) home page, www.InternetQualityCheck.com. The iQcheck(TM) site also contains links to other abuse reporting agencies.

Flying Crocodile Inc. is the managing company of SexTracker(TM), located in Seattle, Washington. SexTracker(TM) is a leader in the online adult industry. The company's flagship product, SexTracker Statistics(TM), is an extremely accurate and detailed web traffic analysis tool that is provided free of charge to adult webmasters. Additionally they provide custom web hosting and design services, as well as advertising, web traffic and statistics consulting for e-commerce and other commercial sites. The company maintains hundreds of servers capable of pushing over 2.378 Gb/s of bandwidth in downtown Seattle's Westin Building. Impeccable programming, innovative design and superb customer service are all synonymous with Flying Crocodile's products and services.

Kid Vegas vs Metro

Kid Vegas writes: Is it true, Metro has attempted to get a wannabe Gen-X follower to try & attempt to copy the roasting style, & loud mouth of Kid Vegas? Is Quasar-Man of the age & spirit to get into the groove with getting bent over for a round of talk that will cause him a seizure? This is the Kid with upcoming news flash of Quasar-Man. He attempted to join the Kid Vegas elite group of Porn, "The Kid Vegas Learning Annex," I had to reject his application for 3 reasons. One he called bugging for work as my P.A.. Two, he checked the box that asked if you were Gay. Three, he used a fag name, I mean fake name, "Manama Urinal," that was his first & last name on the application. So REJECTION is what will be coming back, but I am sure all the girls you meet, give you the same, right? I just want to say talking about Legend is going to make me take out the belt on your bare assy. Look at the list of buried victims on the Internet, lets see we start, Kid Sparkle, Mad JackAss, Scotty Swartz, Jim Gunn, Moffit & Farell, DK, Jim South, Matt Zane, the list is never-ending, shall I say more, Bitch? So stay at home, quit Metro's PR Dept., & continue to be under The King of Gen-X Porn, & stay away from the Legend Posse.....Kid Vegas over & out for now, got score some green....You know who Daddy is Quasar-Man?

Quasarman, son of Kid Vegas responds: Yes Kid Vegas, I know who my daddy is. His name is Bill. I also know who my cousin's heroin dealer is. His name is Kid Vegas. Sorry I don't have more time to chat but I have to go shoot a movie that will receive more than 1 A in AVN.

John writes: I read your website and yet I constantly see Kid Vegas talk mad s---. NOw he mentions one of my friends in his BITCH tirade on May 11. Isnt this the kind of talking that got his ass kicked and his ribs broken. Some people know what I am talkin about and so does that Bitch the KID. To the person who whipped his ass once, you should do it again and ask me to throw you a benefit to raise your lawyer fees to defend yourself after he runs with his tail between his legs to his Daddy's lawyer.

Responsa on Hillary Rodham Clinton

Chaim Amalek writes: There have been a lot of snide comments over the years regarding my future Senator's sexual orientation. Frankly, as a liberal New York Jew, it does not matter to me, and not just because I watch television and read the New York Times. No, it does not bother me because my moral code is defined by the Torah, the Talmud, and the teachings of our Sages. Nowhere in any of these sources is there any condemnation of what the goyim call lesbianism, muff-diving, etc. Therefore, speaking as a Jew, she could be wearing strap-on tools with Janet Reno and Donna Shalela, and it would not make one quantum of difference.

In fact, the Torah does not even recognize the existence of lesbianism. (Let's face it - the modern lesbian is simply a woman with needs who cannot get a suitable man, whereas the homosexual is a man who has rejected all manner of women. Ever notice how gay men often hang out with great looking women, but lesbians do not associate much with men? That's why. The Torah takes pity on them, and for that reason is silent.)

By the way, because Torah defines natural law, it naturally follows that lesbianism is more palatable to the average person than is homosexuality. If sodomites were smarter, they would have used the public's greater tolerance of dykes as a means of paving the way for greater acceptance of sodomy, instead of charging ahead under the banner of anal sex amongst men.

Free Speech Coalition Does Sacramento

Curious writes: Jeez! Porners assemble on the steps of the state capital, Luke F-rd is there and ... no photos? Please tell me the harlots ..er.. starlets were tarted up in the finest, undersized, sparkly stripper clothes or did they go for a boring formal business look? Did any pols receive the Free Speechers or were they politely rebuffed? If received, did any of the porners slip and try to start hustling the Representatives for $15 Polaroid's? Did Juli Ashton gift any legislators with a complimentary artificial anus and vagina from her signature line? Did any freshman senators accidentally call Dave Cummings "Newt"? Did Nina Hartley and her bulbous buttocks arrive in the same taxi? Dammit Luke! Inquiring minds need to know!

    Where Luke and the porners
    should've spent their Tuesday

Amused writes: Gene Ross's site labeled the Free Speech Coalition's capitol visit an "unqualified success." Unqualified success? All that money and what did the FSC produce? A sign one-fifth the size of the immigrant rally's sign. No local TV coverage. No local newspaper coverage. Is this a stealth campaign? If by success Gene means the porners' bus found the capitol building then I would agree, but that was the limit of their "success."

Rumdar writes: Luke.. Self proclaimed Old Liberal Westside Jew Chaim Amaluk is at it again. He dumps on the male homos for their activities while defending warlord Hillary Clinton's right to bang Janet Reno and Donna Shalela in their respective orifices with a strap on. The thought of Reno, Shalela and Hillary going at it is enough to have your VCR malfunction. However, Hillary laying latex to President Bill, Mayor Rudy or even Mr. Amaluk himself might be worth the rental price. Is the Old Jew liberal enough to bend over and take it like a Democrat?

But Luke the real issue here is your trip to Sacramento. Some fine imagines came out of that journey. The feisty immigrants full of hope and promise. Yearning not for a "Pig In The Poke" but their fair share of the Pork. And how about those young Soccer Mom's and their little cherub soccer brats? Those pictures treated your fans to a sense of youth, vitality and energy.

But then the let down. A click or two on the porners and one was ready to reach for the Prozac. How depressing. Witness the hard, lined exhausted faces on those old hags. Just what the hell are they demonstrating for? Free proctology treatments from the government. And those guy's....They looked like the F.B.I.s list of the 10 least wanted. What a crew. The group shot was an image of inmates from some medieval insane asylum. And why were they all dressed in black robes? Was there some sort of porno graduation ceremony? Did they all get their GEDs on the same day? Jesus Christ Luke, think twice before you do that to your fans again. On second thought a latex laced fourway with Hillary,Chaim, Donna and Janet might not be such a bad idea after all.

Hank writes: Luke, you write it was an uneventful day...was there any press conference?. Or was the only event just a photo op by the FSC?. If there was, did no one ask any questions?, or did the "Free Speech Coalition" not allow them to?. Did they carefully control who had access?. They are truly in need of being asked questions about all the false claims and misrepresentations in the industry "White Paper". And why not only those negatives continue to exist, but why they've flourished. What action(s) has the FSC taken against any of those areas? (oh, that's right...they already explained they DON'T exist). Good list of questions and good advice by Chaim.

Luke: I asked my qestions and they gave predictable responses, such as referring me to its white paper at www.freespeechcoalition.com.

LT writes: Luke, you mention the FSC press conference and asking your questions. You said you received a reply to check the White Paper. This is where you needed to be more assertive and reply with "I've looked at the White Paper and these questions I bring up contradict the info in your White Paper and have worsened since the White Paper was first issued". Again, following with the Rough Sex tapes coming out in late 1999 when the White Paper ("Wipe Paper") is from years earlier. Did *anyone* ask *any* tough questions or were they all softballs? (or were they just there to gawk at fake tits?). Who all was at the press conference and what media organziations did they represent?.

Luke: The three major Sacramento TV stations were there along with a couple of radio stations. The questions were soft, except for mine.

Brandy Alexandre writes: The "Wipe" Paper I found on the FSC web site was different from the one that was published in 1996 that I am using in my manuscript, but I didn't want to take the time (be bothered with) figuring out how much different it was from my last copy for this response. I can only assume that it's updated to reflect the industry as it is today, versus 5 years ago, except for their statistic data which is mostly from 1995. However, basic information was the same when I went for the salient points. I call them "The White Lies."

Surely, since they direct people to the Paper they expect it to be quoted, so I'm sure they don't mine my doing this or Luke printing it.Before I get to the lies, here is one of the truths. :::giggle::: The list of jobs omits "writers." How true! The industry does not employ writers. My other points can be made simply by reprinting their exact words without commentary.

"Mainstream sex acts means intercourse, oral sex, anal sex, group sex, etc. Adult movies do not contain nay [sic] depiction's [sic], let alone actual performances, of rape, sex with coercion, animals, urination, defecation, violence, incest, or child pornography."

"To this date, there has not been one recorded case of an active performer in the heterosexual industry testing HIV positive in the contemporary era."

"Even with proper testing, the use of condoms by actors is commonplace in the production of adult video, and is solely the option of the actor. Also, it should be noted that the actors in the adult entertainment industry are a tightly-knit group of individuals who tend to socialize both on and off the set. They know each other intimately, and are often aware of who among them, if any, have contracted a STD, and accordingly self-police their own ranks. Since many actors in the adult entertainment industry know each other on a personal level, they often pick their partners for scenes, thus furthering the protection and prevention of HIV and STD's."

"In communicating with [health] organizations, it has been made clear that the specific practices associates [sic] with the making of adult films are thought to be substantially responsible for the absence of HIV within this community." "No credible report of coercion has been made in over 20 years.... There is not one actress in the contemporary adult entertainment industry who has been made to perform an act against her will."

"THE FREE SPEECH COALITION has put hundreds of hours and the majority of its financial resources into talent support services." "Actors who are known to be drug abusers-I.V or otherwise-and who refuse treatment are subsequently banned from performing."

Luke: I arrived at the state capitol around 8:30 AM and walked around. It's "Kids Day at the Capitol."

At 9AM, I'd spot the porners disembarking from a bus and walking towards the capitol building. I snap pictures. Much of the group smile for me. Many of them greet me.

Wicked PR gal Joy King says that Jenna Jameson's future with Wicked has yet to be determined.

Kat Sunlove, the FSC lobbyist in Sacramento, gave a brief talk to the ten or so media gathered on the steps of the legislature.

Kat: "Our event is called "Celebrate Free Speech" lobbying day. And that is what we're here to do... Our visual today [a sign which supports strip clubs] refers to the recent PAPS vs City of Erie US Supreme Court decision. The Court decided for no reason that they can regulate small businesses and content and entertainment arbitrarily. They suggest that by the addition of pasties and G-strings some unproven secondary effects will be reduced...

"These women and gentlemen up here today have...made a living... removing their clothing for the entertainment of the customer. They are appalled, offended and insulted by this decision.

"We are a $12 billion a year industry and we employ thousands of people across the country. We pay our taxes and we are good citizens.

"We are expanding the Free Speech Coalition. We started here...to tell these legislators that we have a point of view that needs to be listened to..."

William Lyon, the new FSX executive director, ambled to the podium, with a cherry genial aura. He appears comfortable around the hallways of power.

Lyon: "We're expanding the Free Speech Coalition to hopefully every state. We have 12 states lined up and we will be opening chapters there in the next 90 days... Our program will be modeled after our program in California..."

Reporter: "Can you talk specifically about some of the successes you feel you've had in the capitol?"

Kat: "I am a product of late '60s and early '70s politics in Los Angeles. Coalition politics. And I believe that is a large reason for our success here... We've aligned ourselves with other industries and lobbyists who have reason to be concerned about First Amendment protection - the motion picture association, the recording industry, the librarians, Planned Parenthood and groups of that sort...who want to maintain their right to freedom of expression.... We're then able to tell the legislature, this isn't just the porn industry. This is an issue which affects many of us.

"A couple of years ago there was the porn tax bill... And it was in part through some enormous pressure from our constituents... We had an enormous letter writing effort. We brought in an extraordingary speaker, Candida Royalle, who's been on both sides of the [porno] camera. Senator Alford chaired the Revenue and Tax Committee. She said she would never support a tax on speech. And it is just that kind of understanding that it is just that clear... Senator Burton, Vasconcellos are as close to First Amendment purists that anybody can afford to be..."

Luke: "How many legislators are you guys meeting with today?"

Kat: "We have appointments with virtually everybody (about 100 of the 120)..."

Reporter: "What's the relationship between this industry and the Motion Picture Association?"

Kat: "Very friendly. I'm well associated with Terry Thomas, their lobbyist. We help one another. We've testified against the same bills... I work closely with the ACLU and the recording industry..."

Sunlove lists off various lobbyists by name that she works with.

Luke: "Kat, what do you think of the Rough Sex videos from Anabolic Video. The Rough Sex series where women are getting punched, choked and kicked."

Kat: "I feel very concerned if there's ever a situation where a person...is coerced...into any behavior. And we have laws against that. And I believe firmly that if somebody feels they've been violated in that way, they need to report it and we need to prosecute that. As far as the content of Rough Sex, or S-M sex or any of that kind of fantasy material, I have no problem with it at all. It's fantasy. That's what we make these things for. That's what mainstream Hollywood is all about. Just because we have a Rambo movie or [Natural Born Killers]...just because I don't care for these movies, doesn't mean they shouldn't exist..."

Luke: "In Max Hardcore's movies, he frequently urinates in women's mouths. Do you think this is a legitimate form of free expression?

Kat laughs. "I'd have to talk to the woman to see how she felt about it. But yes, that is a legitimate form of expression. There are lines to be drawn and that line is a moving target. The obscenity definition is a three-pronged argument... We have a jury system.... If a community thinks these videos are over the line, that's what these laws are for."

Luke: "I've been on sets where some of the actresses appeared under the influence of drugs before performing on camera. Are there any plans to institute drug testing?"

Kat: "Certainly. I would refer you to our white paper Luke because we have that covered quite thoroughly. Drug use in our society is a great problem and causes a loss of revenues for a lot of businesses... Our industry is no different... We have a couple of organizations associated with the Free Speech Coalition, who have either been spun off or have been funded by Free Speech... PAW (Protecting Adult Welfare)...AIM (Adult Industry Medical). Does somebody else have a question?"

Nobody did.

I stood next to Bill Lyon as he was interviewed by an FM radio reporter. I got in a few questions of my own.

Bill: "...Kat Sunlove has done a great job in presenting this industry in an authentic light rather than the kind of light that is constantly portrayed by the religious right... We're very proud of what we do and the societal values that we contribute.

"We're interested [in promoting] legislation that would prevent the holding of records from any business. So that within eight to ten days [of seizing the records] the business owner could come in and make copies of the records, so they are not stopped dead in their tracks."

Reporter: "So you're going to pay courtesy visits?"

Bill: "Yes, to put a human face on our industry... To show that our folks are people with families and children and have the same needs and desires as everybody else. It just happens that the industry they're involved in are under attack constantly by very conservative elements.

"The moral decline of America is in that conservative's eyes, it is not a fact. There's no moral decline in America..."

Reporter: "Jack Valenti [from the MPAA] comes here every year and I always ask him this question. The relationship between his organization and the X-rated industry in the San Fernando Valley. And he always says there is no relationship. What is the truth?"

Bill laughs. "We are all in the entertainment business and it is just a question of degree. Quite often I see films that Mr. Valenti rates that are far worse in terms of violence and bloodshed than anything we do."

Luke: "What do you think of Max Hardcore's psuedo-child porn where he dresses up performers who are 18 years of age or older, to make them look about 12 years of age?"

Bill: "I have never seen this and I have no idea what you're talking about.

"...We're opposed to child porn but we're not opposed to simulation..."

Luke: "How well do you know the industry and how well did you know it when you took the job?"

Bill: "I did not know the industry as such before I took the job. I have a great deal of experience working with legislators and the federal government... I have since had the opportunity to meet many people in the industry and I am frankly impressed. Like a lot of other people, I had some stereotypes that were incorrect. There are a lot of intelligent enthusiastic people in the industry. I see no indications of people forced to do anything..."

Luke: "I heard a report that there were performers in an Elegant Angel release shot in Budapest who'd been sold into sexual slavery."

Bill: "I know nothing about it."

Luke: "What about the role of organized crime in the industry? For instance, in January of 1997, Metro Home Video was convicted of working with the Gambino crime family. Is there anything the FSC is concerned about to deter the infiltration of organized crime into this industry?"

Bill: "I have met a number of people in this industry and I can assure you that none of the people I have met are involved in organized crime in any way. Obviously I have not met everyone and I can't comment any further than that."

Luke: "Are you guys doing anything to deter organized crime? It is generally regarded as an industry susceptible to organized crime."

Bill: "Any industry is susceptible to organized crime. Look at the garment industry... But no, there's nothing going on because as far as we are aware, it does not exist."

Luke: "Did you see the Rough Sex videos or the controversy surrounding them?"

Bill: "I have not seen them and so I have no comment on them."

Luke: "Would it bother you that the industry is releasing videos where women consensually are getting kicked, beaten, punched and choked?"

Bill: "Would it bother? If someone is consensually involved in something, it is none of my business. So no, it would not bother me because I have no right to be bothered. It would definitely bother me if someone was forced to do this against their will. But that obviously is not the case. And these are portrayals, they are theater. It is not reality. I don't think there is any reason that actresses can not portray what they want to portray."

After the predictable news conference, I briefly followed Kat Sunlove and company as they made their rounds. Then I followed Nina Hartley and Annie Sprinkle. Nina told me that I could not follow her around all day. I asked instead to follow her for a few minutes and then I went away.

I spent most of my Tuesday morning in the cafeteria on the sixth floor talking with Nina Hartley's wife Bobby Lilly.

At noon I follow the porners into the restaurant in the basement, and chatted with Will Jarvis, Kat Sunlove, Dave Cummings and James Weiser (Shayla LaVeaux's husband).

Standing in line for the salad bar, I'm just behind Jarvis and Sunlove as they discuss the day. Will turns to me and says, "Are you getting all that Luke?"

Luke: "Yeah, I'm big brother."

Will: "No, you're the little brother we're always trying to get rid of."

I'm regarded as an unwanted snoop by some of the porners, like Kernes.

James: "This has been the most successful lobbying days yet. Because there are no bills pending against the industry. Prior to five years ago [when Mike Ross started the lobbying days], there was nobody up here letting them know about the needs of our business. In the last five years of coming up here, we've gained an understanding of one another. In the past we've been regulated without being consulted.

"The legislators asked if there were any specific issues we wanted to address, and we said we just wanted to keep the relationship going and complimented them on the relationships we've built. And the fact that they have regulated us as the industry we deserve to be regulated as."

I phone a happy Mike Ross. He's just returned from lobbying the Sacramento City Council who've postponed for two months discussion of a bill that would ban strip clubs.

After that I drove to Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley, where I spent many of the happiest months of my life.

I walk around the campus and for two hours recognized nobody.

Wednesday morning, I look after a dozen two and three-year old kids. One spunky girl was the daughter of a friend of mine from the PUC Elementary school. Most of my classmates from the school, however, have been slow to marry and reproduce.

Fred writes: Ms. Sunlove's answer to one of your questions was astounding: "If a community thinks these videos are over the line, that's what laws are for." Conservative communities think that this is why porn should be banned in the first place.

I believe the question you asked that elicited that response related to Mr. Hardcore urinating in someone's mouth. I suppose one could take any of several attitudes.

1) Ban any depiction of sex, normal or otherwise.

2) Ban only depictions of forms of sex that are not "normal" (whatever that means).

3) Ban depictions of forms of sex that the majority would consider gross, politically incorrect, or otherwise unacceptable.

4) Ban depiction of those forms of sex that are in and of themselves illegal (e.g. actors/actresses acting like they are under the age of 18).

5) Ban depictions of filming of illegal sex (e.g. the actors/actresses actually are under 18, or actually are coerced).

6) Establish a list of acts, the depiction of which are banned (e.g. urination, wearing mis-matched socks or a polyester suit, defecation, S&M, Ron Jeremy, etc.)

I suppose that what Ms. Sunlove appears to advocate is category 3 above. However, this is not a standard at all. I imagine that in some states, oral sex would fall into that category. In the Castro district of San Francisco, I don't think anything falls into that category.

Should a Los Angeles film maker like Mr. Hardcore be dragged into state court in Tennessee or Mississippi to defend his form of cinema verite?

Should Vivid be forced to defend themselves in criminal court in Tennessee or Mississippi for showing oral sex, considered by some in that state to be "over the line"?

Standard 3 (apparently advocated by Ms. Sunlove) appears to permit Vivid to be pulled into court for a depiction of oral sex in a video rented in a conservative state. What kind of "free speech" is that?

Doubtless, Max Hardcore depicts situations that are, in and of themselves illegal (i.e. the actresses portraying under-age characters). One could say the same thing of countless main stream movies. For Ms. Sunlove to say that a local jury can decide what is over the line is to surrender her entire cause. This remark is astounding.

On another note, In one of your earlier posts, you rhetorically asked what Juli Ashton would have to say about porn actresses being prostitutes. Why did you single out Ms. Ashton for this question?

Luke: Because Ashton is known as "classy" and beyond prostitution. So what does she think about her peers who work as hookers? I never asked her the question however.

Mark Kernes, AVN writer and FSC board member, writes on GeneRoss.com that the lobbying days were an unqualified success.

"Also for the first time this year, the fledgling lobbyists took part in two separate learning tracks, the brainchild (as was the entire three-day session) of FSC lobbyist Kat Sunlove and N-ACT head Bobby Lilly; one for the several beginners, including FSC Chairman Scott Tucker (Topco Sales) and Executive Director Bill Lyon, Tucker's assistant and FSC Board liaison Francia Hinricks, actor/directorTaliesin, actress/director/performance artist/etc. Annie Sprinkle, actress Devinn Lane, writer/production assistant Liza Van Dohrn, Lynn Swanson (M&M Sales), authors Dr. Carol Queen (Good Vibrations) and Robert Lawrence, and several others; and one for "advanced" veterans such as Lilly, Joy King (VP of Wicked Pictures), actress/producer Juli Ashton, actor Dave Cummings, actress/director Nina Hartley, Mara Epstein (iCandy Entertainment and FSC Board member), actress/director XXX, photog YYY, plus FSC Board members/attorneys Jeffrey Douglas and Al Gelbard.

"The opening session on Sunday afternoon consisted of a "celebrity reception" and a panel discussion involving Hartley; Lilly; Queen; Terry Francke, General Counsel to the California First Amendment Coalition; journalist Stephen Levine; and Dana Mitchell, a consultant to the California Senate's Judiciary Committee."

Concerned writes: Did Bill Lyon actually state: "There is no moral decline in America." or "There is no more room to morally decline in America."? Good Christ! Where has he been?

MikeSouth.com writes: Greg NAME one thing...I was an FSC member and all I got for my duesn was ignored, no phone calls, no notification of meetings, no proxy offers nada. Greg I like you just fine but respectfully I defy you to name ONE...just ONE thing the FSC has done in it's entire pathetic existence, that has benefited this industry as a whole or its performers.

Sande Weinstein, strip club manager, writes from Arizona: Hi Luke: I hope you are having fun in Sacramento with the Porn Lobby from FSC. I just thought I would comment on Greg Z’s, Mike South and Brandy Alexander’s comments on the FSC. I feel that Mike, Greg and Brandy are correct in their respective comments and all have valid points. My turn!

The FSC is actually not that old in respect to time but is definitely the mother of all porn organizations since it began as the Adult Video Association or something like that (I don't remember the exact name) and grew into the Free Speech Coalition. It must be given some credit for surviving in a society that really doesn't appreciate its reasons for being here. The organization, from my research, has actually done some fine work in the past but in my opinion, has definitely neither recognized its purpose or goals nor has it served its entire membership through its history.

The FSC has maintained that it represents the entire adult entertainment industry; video production, talent, clubs/cabarets, manufacturers, distributors, adult retail establishments, etc. First of all, the FSC is not in a position to represent the entire adult entertainment industry, since, and I've recently found this out myself, no organization can represent all facets of an industry. It’s impossible. Video production companies, talent, clubs/cabarets, manufacturers, distributors, adult retail establishments all have different priorities and those priorities sometimes, more often than not, are not in alignment with all the other types of member groups of the industry. There is bound to be some conflict between these types of businesses. They all have different priorities. You will, of course, notice that the cabaret/clubowners of CA and several other states, Arizona included, have organized themselves into separate associations because they have common goals that the FSC, somewhat uneasily, have admitted that they are unable to represent successfully. Do any of these groups feel that they are getting all they can out of the Free Speech Coalition when it comes to representation?

However, the FSC is an organization IN CALIFORNIA and based in CA and has not branched out the way it should have years ago. The adult entertainment industry has, as far as I have seen, been a reactive industry. It reacts after something bad has occurred. What does the individual business owners do when the government or some organization has done them wrong? They just reach over for their legal counsel. The same things occur to all of these businesses all the time; more restrictive regulations from Congress to state and municipal governments, more local law enforcement operations and harassment. What do the owners do? They just reach for their trusty legal teams.

I have great respect for the legal profession because they are necessary to keeping business owners open and the majority of the time, they are successful. However, they are not the answer to our problems with the government and right-wing organizations that are trying to put us out of business. The answer, (and of course now everyone knows this) is to become pro-active, change the atmosphere of the game, change out the players; ours and theirs!!! Find candidates who agree with our philosophy, are at least somewhat favorable to our very existence and will meet with us first before sending us, figuratively, to the guillotines. By organizing and getting political we can make a difference in elections from the national to local elections. Everyone knows this by now. This is nothing new. As it is, if Bush becomes President, and at this time, my unfortunate bet is this will happen, things are not going to go very smoothly for us.

The problem with the FSC is that they were and still are wrapped up in CA and that happens to be the hub of the business. They just don't understand yet that the market for the industry, basically it’s nerve center in the San Fernando Valley, is everything east of Blythe. Mike Ross and the National Cabaret Association and the Adult Entertainment Industry Education Fund met the challenge and became national over a 3-month period. Mike and his associations showed action, while the FSC showed $100 tickets to a one-nite affair, Night of the Stars or whatever and a 3 day lobbying day seminar in CA!!!! That is why it was decided that Arizona's cabaret/clubowner's organization would be affiliated with Mike Ross and the NCA. It just made sense to go with someone who was positive and active within the political spectrum and not stagnant and concentrated in CA.

Also, and I think most importantly, Mike Ross makes sure his membership and everyone remotely connected to this industry is informed as to what is going on locally and nationally with regards to legislation, litigation, and most importantly, what actions the NCA is taking to represent it’s membership and earn its membership fees and, in my opinion, it’s membership’s loyalty. Michael Ross is a nationally registered lobbyist and the NCA is a nationally registered industry association registered with Congress in Washington, DC. Can Bill Lyon and the FSC equal that kind of representation? Is the FSC a national organization?

Now the FSC has had some success in litigation recently but again, that is litigation. I know that they do have people in a couple of states that they are working with maybe beginning some national push. I firmly believe that the FSC does not have the complete support of its membership, whoever they are, and that it is a cabal of few, run, in past years, by a secretive board of directors. They run things by committee, which I believe causes the board to become lethargic when it comes to certain actions, and/or expects the unknown membership to just agree and fall into lockstep or maybe not to even care.

I remember when I attended their lobbying days in Sacramento last year, I suggested to forget lobbying the state legislature where, at the time, there were no bills to lobby on anyway, but to lobby their own membership and make sure that their membership felt the FSC was doing an effective job. Most thought it deserved some discussion but was discarded by board members. Does anyone even know what the FSC membership really thinks? I know that everytime someone tries to pierce that invisible veil surrounding the FSC's management and membership information, there is usually an incredibly terse verbal response from a member of the board.

I know this because it usually is aimed at me everytime I write something about the FSC. Apparently the organization bruises easily. I believe that the FSC should be a viable organization and maybe they have elected a positive Board of Directors. The jury is still out on its new Executive Director but Mike, the fault really extends beyond their lobbyist, Kat Sunlove. It’s not her fault she doesn't go national and I certainly don't begrudge her her salary. She really has been the voice of the organization even though I doubt she can unilaterally act. She could do more but not without an okay from the inner sanctum of the Board of Directors.

In short, shyeah....right....I believe like Greg, that the FSC is viable, and could accomplish much but like Mike South says, its not doing enough to represent their membership and they are really not working in the open so everyone knows what is going on. I'll go so far as to agree with Gloria Leonard that if you are not involved you are part of the problem....or something that sounds like that. I say....it’s like the lottery....you gotta be in it to win it! Have fun up there Luke....

Are Porno Chicks Normal People?

Lysa from Astral Ocean writes on RAME: The time has come, after many years in the business, to wonder why the champions of pornography insist on portraying porno chicks as "normal people".

I refer to www.geneross.com of 5/9/00. As the Stacy Valentine documentary comes out this week in LA, there was an interesting recap on the site. An excerpt: "Simply by showing the life of one of its biggest stars, Fugate paints an arresting portrait of the maladies of the adult film industry. Interestingly, however, Fugate doesn't seem to argue that the industry is exploitative per se. Rather, the industry seems to be more like an otherwise surprisingly normal group of people, both men and women, who encourage and feed off each other's dysfunctions...."

This is where I'm currently having the moral dilemma. It's not exploitative yet women are treated like objects (not always a bad thing) and the majority of the porno women I know have zero self-worth no matter how many people tell them how beautiful they are. 'A surprisingly "normal" group of people?' How many people in the world do you know send their wives out to have sex with other men for money? There are rare exceptions to the rule that women that have acted in porno leave the business with an ok psyche. These women have problems!

Liking sex is one thing but to actually lay yourself out there and telling yourself that it's not prostitution is another. Now what is normal? I'm going to try to figure that out some more, but I can tell you, the people in porno are unlike any other societal group. And most are completely delusional. Including, regretfully, myself at times... Don't even get me started on the porno acting vs. prostitution thing. I welcome agreeable and opposing viewpoints of course.

JBee writes on RAME: As a student of psychiatry, I feel that most people who go into porn certainly have some mental health issues to deal with. majority of the porno women I know have zero self-worth no matter how many people tell them how beautiful they are. I am sure you're right about this because(in my opinion) most female porn stars feel that their sexuality or beauty is their only powerful attribute(a reason for this is that many of them were sexually molested as children) and they are seeking adulation and acceptance in the same way some musicians go into the business because they do not love themselves so they want their public to love and admire them.

David: In my book, when you take money for sex, that constitutes prostitution. Why would it not be? Making an adult film might be a bit more glamorous--but not much--but when you come right down to it it's still having sex for money.

Pezboy writes: LYSA , They are trying to concvince themselves that they are "artists". Which we know is bulls---. I hardly call a JM Productions video where a "Gaping Asshole Inside" sticker(-that is much like the Good Housekeeping seal of approval) appears on every box to let us know that excessive numbers of cocks will be crammed into the asshole of a woman for maybe a couple of hundred (or thousand) dollars in hopes that they will travel the road and be a feature dancer. Yeah- thats ART.

Lenscap1 writes: You raise philosophical questions by asking "what is normal" when referring to the people that perform in XXX films. Are the people that watch these films any more "normal" than the people that make them? Example: a man is covered in sweat, pulling on his erect penis like a piston, all the while his total essence, total being, all his senses, are transfixed on gazing at a screen where images of other human beings engage in some sexual act...he then attains an orgasm that is equal too, or supercedes at times, an orgasm he would experience doing the same sex act he has just viewed with a "real" person...is this "normal"..? Example: a middle-aged man, married, with children, community-minded, responsible, etc...yet once or twice a week he enters a dark, small booth...pungent odor surrounds him, the floor and sometimes walls are sticky and slimey...he drops coins into a machine and watches images of people having sex....he longs to be the "male" he is watching f---ing the girl on screen that is old enough to HIS daughter...or he fantasizes it is HIM having his face sprayed with the sperm from 3 humungous dicks....is this "normal"..? the psychology of human sexuality is so complex, I don't think any parameters of normalacy can really be defined.

Jim Gunn: There's a lot of people with unconventional lifestyles in the porn business. But you could say the same thing about cops being different than "normal" people or blue-blood politicians or welfare recipients or Korean immigrants or whatever group you want to obsess on and analyze. As for delusional, go talk to some semingly "normal" group like the check out cashier yentas at the local grocery store or some stockbrokers on Wall Street and shrink back in horror when you realize that what is in their head is as scary as anything in the porn biz.

Even you who work in the business are caught up in the underlying deep-seated assumption of western society- an assumption that most people don't and possibly cannot even consciously fathom- and that assumption is that SEX=BAD. All discussion, analysis and "weirdness" about porn people and the business originally stems from this factor. Take this silly but omnipresent idea away and we don't even have a discussion here.

I for one think that is is preposterous that prostitution is considered bad and is illegal so it's no big deal about porn vs. prostitution for my viewpoint. But of course I alone am not going to change society in my lifetime so that's what we have to deal with.

Earl writes Luke: Mr Ford! You were recently sent a political essay explaining the dangers of vegetables to our racial health. The essay demonstrated through incontrovertible facts that the consumption of vegetables has lead to the infestation of our land by millions of third-worlders, who when the time comes, will throw down their leaf blowers and act on their primitive emotions. And yet despite this knowledge, you persist in the vegetarian "lifestyle!" Has it not ever occured to you that the reason for your physical and mental weakness over the years (the former self-admitted, the latter evident from your current occupation) is that very lifestyle? Real men, white men, need to eat meat. The need for this food is clear to anyone who has ever studied the human digestive tract, from the presence of canine teeth down to the length of our intestines. Only the weak or degenerate adopt the unnatural "vegetarian" lifestyle. I assure you that very soon after you begin eating steak and lobster that you will recover your previous vitality and again be a credit to your race. (And if the thought of eating beef offends you, at least have a can or two of sardines. The sardine is a friend to the White Race. Do NOT eat chicken!)

Porn Critic Pat Riley

Pat Riley writes on RAME: In her first appearances with Ed, Mariah Kane made all the right moves. No "I've a husband waiting off camera", nor "I really love by boyfriend but I'll go through the motions with you", nor "I really only like girls but I need money; here, stick your dick in"...you get the idea. She went on to TT Boy and even here I could still accept that she was having a little fling with him...and then there was a scene with Mr. Marcus where it looked like she actually chose him--one of the Booty Talk away at a ski lodge series. Even today she can still get a rise because she hasn't killed the plausibility although I must admit she's getting a little long in the tooth (in porn performer years). Has anyone noticed that her tits are shrinking?

Now we have Gunn saying that the raincoaters are all turning out little raincoaters and you saying that no one at all is reproducing!

Without wanting to delve too deeply here (fear of the moderator ) I think your idea of nature and overpopulation has some merit but not quite as you see it. The question is fitness--the ability to succeed in the environment where success means you pass on your genes. The more the better for you but not necessarily for the rest of us. Normally two aspects control fitness: the ability to survive and for one's descendants to survive and the ability to outbreed the competition (that's me if we're talking about you). The control by survival has been rendered moot by technology although some horrors still reside in Pandora's box; the second is where we're still makingheadway.

I suspect you move in yuppie circles and for various reasons they're not breeding at even replacement level. I also know plenty of moneyed yuppies who are childless so I would agree with your comment aboutthem.

Nor are the raincoater males breeding (contrary to Gunn) because for them to breed they would have to attract a nubile and willing female and spending every night with remote in hand drooling over Gina Bigtits is not exactly the way to attract the appropriate girl.

And to answer Ultra's question, no there's not a gene or set of genes that produce a raincoater, however there are sets of genes that produce a person who has characteristics that make him likely to become a raincoater. Just have a look at the guys at the industry trade shows and listen to some of the posts here to discover what sort of person might become a raincoater. From there it's probably a question of childhood development although the reaction to their experience as a teenager may have merit.

The people who are breeding in excess and who will eventually take over are the ethnic (Orthodox Jews, immigrants, Hispanics, blacks, Orientals, etc) which of course brings up the arguments about whether evolution is purely random or is it directional.

The problem with most pregnancy tapes are that the girls are beasties. Out of shape and far too much weight gain. Pregnancy is a period where the female should not be coddled, something most Americans are guilty of. (During her last pregnancy I had my wife install a new sewer. Lugging around those four inch cast iron pipes can be a bitch even when not pregnant .) However there have been some recent cutie pies in the pregnancy tapes. Jade Lorraine in Ready To Drop #27 and #28 and Claire Brodie in #30 are pretty good but unfortunately you have to put up with either a g/g scene with an old uglie like Saki or Cumisha or one of the Bogas Brothers. Still Will Ravage screwing Claire is well worth watching. Earlier tapes had Sunset Thomas (from the back it was hard to tell she was pregnant) and Crystal Knight, both of whom were erotic. I wonder if Gwen Summers did a pregnancy tape? She's the type that wouldn't stand any nonsense.

I suppose it's something to do with the ultimate demonstration of their femininity and heterosexuality but I really can't explain the desire for a pregnant (and in these cases REALLY pregnant) female.

Isabelle Huppert in...um... the one where she picks up a gigolo lover...refers to and provides a condom. In Trainspotting the schoolgirl provides a condom. There are references in the stories (maybe I just note them more) to condom use and one I read the other day had a fantasy future where there were vaccines against pregnancy and AIDS and no condoms were necessary. The general's harem about a month ago referred to the general's disgust at women getting pregnant--I seem to remember he had them executed-- so they had to be on the pill and there's one about Indian girls trained to be B&D submissives from pre-puberty where they had their tubes tied as a matter of course.

...most of porn is made by dysfunctional raincoaters and new age touchie-feelies.

Just as pregnancy is proof of the femininity of a female--a validation of her femaleness--the impregnation of a female is proof of your manhood. Let's face it, it takes lots of work and effort to sequester a female and have her agree to bear a child.

Further [donning raincoater garb] what you all seem to miss is that impregnating the female is about the most control you will ever have over a girl. By doing so you have sentenced her to a minimum of nine months in which she won't be able to dress in anything nice, dance, flirt with other males, etc. She'll probably be sick at least some of the time, feel tired, have difficulty moving around, feel ugly, and be ultra-dependent on you. On top she can look forward to 20 years of raising some ungrateful little brat. You OTOH can always change your name and move to another town and leave her holding the baby (literally).

Luke Gets Mail

Rumdar writes: Luke: Old Pinko Chaim Amaluk suggests that people who write to you might have better ways of spending their time. I wonder what the Old Yiddle has in mind? Could it be attending some long winded, sleep inducing lecture at Columbia University? Come on Amaluk your brain is becoming as stale as last week's motsa. He even wants to be nominated for some sort of journalism award. For what? Spending hour upon hour E mailing you on suggestions on How To Live My "Luke's" Life? It is obvious The Old Lefty has been mentally stranded on a small Island (Manhattan) too long. Hopefully when his hero, Lesbo Warlord Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign rolls into low gear Amaluk will find something better to do and stop squandering lines in your column.

Incidentally Luke. In the early seventies yours truly was a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi, Central Africa. Although it was officially discouraged I took several trips to Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) It was a magical place if your skin was the right color. A land where a plumber or a pipe fitter could afford a luxury home with a couple of servants. The whites in control were a hardy lot. The women were long, blond and beautiful. The men rugged. White men and women were rutting like weasels. Politically, they were deluding themselves by thinking they were fighting against Communism and that the guerilla war which was being waged from neighboring Zambia and Mozambique was winnable. It of course was lost due to international pressure and overwhelming odds. That the country would go right down the crapper after the whites lost control was a given. May I suggest the book or movie "White Mischief" (set in Colonial Kenya) as an example of what life was like back then.

Amused responds: "Goddess" is correct. Sheer jealousy prompted my rude email. I'm sure a bull-stud such as Gene craps bigger things than puny old me. sigh. I guess it's the same feeling when a frumpy old house frau sees a young, platinum blonde porn starlet with huge implants. Pure unadulterated envy. Forgive me Gene. And if we ever should ever meet at Venice beach sometime please don't kick sand in my face. Please.

Julio asked him typical questions like how'd he get into the business etc etc. one question he asked was, "what work would you most like to be remembered for"..and mr marcus replied that he wanted to be remembered for his work in the ever popular "ROUGH SEX" series. he said he wanted to be remembered for this series because he feels that it best reflects "how girls like it". i dunno. i guess it's better then being remembered as "that bi guy who everyone used to think was cool". luke by the way, i know youve got some pull. is kendra jade into 6 foot 5 good looking italian guys at all? Could this correspondent be one of Lukes many personna's ? I detect a lot of conflict in Luke when discussing large muscular men. He seems to think such a condition is evil and unnatural and has said that the time he spent in athletic pursuits (mostly running) in his younger years he considers to have been wasted and regrets it. I think he has that ancient Judaeo Christian hangup of denying your existence from the neck down."

GeneRoss.com responds:...Iin the days when I did have whipcord thighs, front squats as espoused by the late Steve Reeves and gallons of milk were all it took. By the way, know where I can score some Triatricol?"

Steven writes: Recently Lynne answered a readers query regarding the best approach to take in an Industry, "civilian",talent menage-a-f----up. Im surprised at you Lynne your advice is usually not this shallow. Your usage of the term "civilian" is accurate though, since to continue in a relationship without telling your partner while you "look for other work" puts their life at risk. Or have the dozens of AIDS cases and or scares in recent times been a hoax? To Lynne, if this woman wrote and said that her partner found out that she regularly plays russian roulette in bed...with the gun pointed across the pillow towards him, would you have characterized his "ranting and raving" as some type of control issue? Thats seriously irresponsible advice. To the originator of the letter (since she invited all responses) I would like to say simply this. This is 2000 not 1975. AIDS , HEP C, and god knows what else are facts of life. It dosent matter whether you "take precautions" or not, there is still a risk, and nobody has the right to decide what is an acceptable risk when it comes to another human beings life. I cant advise you what to do, only suggest you consider this when making a decision.

Mike South (www.mikesouth.com) in case you forget, writes: Luke am I the only constant on your site...I mean with Chiam claiming to be himself, and me, and you and God knows who else. Now you have Goddess and Georgia...hell Goddess even wrote me a nasty email for exposing her. Don't they know they dont have to use psuedonyms, you will still publish them, or do they just need emotional support from themselves? Or I dunno maybe they have MPD, I dated a big breasted redhead in this biz for a while that would have made Sybill loook like an only child.

AIM Newsletter

AIM's Newsletter
Spring/Summer, 2000

The new millennium marches on and so does HIV and AIDS work in the world. Due to a growing client base, AIM HealthCare Foundation is expanding our services and broadening our horizons. Which means we are bringing in more doctors on site, expanding our mobile phlebotomy and prevention education programs. As you know, we are a non-profit agency and it is now time to contribute to an incredible community based organization that is AIM HealthCare. We provide an invaluable and necessary service that the industry depends on. We urge you to participate by sending donations now. Look on our web site at URL http://AIM-Med.org/wishlist.html for a list of proposals you can fund or volunteer you time helping us out in our office a day or two. And don’t forget to let us know how we can continue to bring you the very best in service.

First up on our agenda is a growing need for STD testing and treatment. We now offer some tests free and more are on the way in June, so call in and see what’s available. Also, now playing at AIM HealthCare is the “Silicone Condom,” said to be heat-conducting and as thin and appealing as the Avanti brand. We will be bringing back our Support Group of the Month in June – you guessed it – PORNO 101! Join myself, Hershal Savage and Nina Hartley as we encourage, educate and provide esteemable advice at our facility on June 29th at 3:00 pm.

Let me once again remind you how fortunate we are to have HIV monitoring and testing available in the US. We have all seen and heard too much depressing news about Africa. Our brothers and sisters and dying at an alarming rate. 65% of the population are infected with full-blown AIDS with no medication available. In most cases, due to the negative stigma attached to AIDS in Africa, many doctors do not let their patients know their true diagnosis. Icing on the cake – rape is rampant. Statistics in the news report 75% of all females will be raped at one time in their life in Africa. I do not share these statements to shock you, but to motivate you to take responsibility for your actions. Get tested. Find out how HIV is spread. Volunteer to help folks stricken with AIDS – only you can take the shame out of the game of HIV. And yes, be thankful for the services that we have available in the US. Now is not the time to point a finger (there are always three more pointing back at you.) Whether you are positive or negative, man or woman, there are many things you have to offer the world, so get busy!

Letters, E-Mails, Correspondence

Dear Mitchie, I am relatively new in the biz and I’ve followed many of the guidelines suggested in “Porn 101.” I’ve made 16 movies and I would say I’m a “B” girl. I’m known for my specialty, anal and double penetration scenes. Now it is time for me to go on the road dancing. I have some concerns. 1 – my hips are big and my thighs are meaty – I have a nice ass though. 2 – my dancing skills are not up to par – I don’t do pole work. How much preparation does a gal like me need? Signed, Pointers Please

Dear Pointers, Having been on the road myself for 18 years of my career, several months at a time, I can help at some of your concerns, but for a lot of what’s coming, I called Miss Nude Canada, Kasha, and she gave me the following up-to-date expertease!

1. Make sure you have a good agent that will write a contract for you. If you don’t like table dancing or booth work, make sure that it will be excluded from your contract. Many clubs sneak it in and you’ll be stuck sticking it out while forcing a smile – not necessary and not a requirement.

2. Make sure your costumes and promo items are set. Although many features have 20 costumes and up, remember, they’ve been doing this awhile. You should have a choice of five different shows. Themes are always popular: Bubble Bath, Cowgirl, Dominant Goddess, etc. Choose music appropriately: Basic rock and R&B are crowd pleasers. Stay away from eclectic, obscure tunes that can turn off the audience. Go easy on yourself. It’s a 20-25 minute show. Pace your strip accordingly. Remember they’ve seen you getting it in the ass, so believe me, they’ll be pleased to see you in the flesh. Obtain copies of your videos, make t-shirts, key chains, and/or 8x10’s. They will sell like hotcakes after the show. Regarding your body concerns: don’t knock that full rounded figure. That’s your attraction – always wear a smile and dance in the mirror until you like what you see. That’s how you’ll find your best moves. I’m sure you’ll be a hit, but if you must diet, don’t use pills. Kasha suggests the Atkins diet, lowering your carbohydrate intake, you can lean out in about four weeks. BREAK A LEG!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` I am a 29-year-old male who has had one testicle removed two months ago from cancer. The cancer has not spread, but the treatments and the surgery has rendered me near impotent. Any suggestions? What about Viagra? Anonymous
My friend, how brave you are to talk about your special situation. I’ve spoken to Dr. Steven York, our Medical Director, about your case and we concur – eights weeks is too soon to diagnoses any erectile dysfunction. You’ve been through a lot and although I’m sure you’re anxious to “get back into the swing of things”, go slow. Start with a sensitive partner and some prostate stimulation. Remember, the most important sex organ is in between your ears. So relax and go with what turns you on. Yes, if this condition persists, you can ask your physician about Viagra or an implant if you so choose. May I encourage you to be an outspoken role model for others in your situation. Thanks, Mitchie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Hey Mitch! I’m a reporter and I “covered” a porn set during sweeps and I’ve been around many sets in my day, but the lingo they used was beyond me. I was too shy to ask, so maybe you can help define words like FIP, STRINGER, CHEAT, SOFT? Love you, Signed, Six O’Clock News

Dear Six, CHEAT is the same on any set. It means open your legs (body part) to the camera to see the hardcore. FIP = Fake Internal Pop, which is a shot of your face reacting to the pop (cum shot.) Many times, we shoot this shot after the fact and our partner is usually off the set washing up – now that’s acting! SOFT = No it does not mean soft penis. It means block the hard core. Many flicks are so low budget that they shoot the hard core (video) and the soft core (Playboy Channel) at the same time. Often times, when performing fellatio, for example, this requires putting your head between the camera and the cock. STRINGER = My favorite – a nice sloppy string of saliva that pulls away like taffy from the cock to the mouth!
