Free Speech Coalition (FSC), as administrators of the Adult Production Health & Safety Services Program (APHSS.org), would like to address recent reports that an active performer may have tested positive for HIV.
FSC was made aware of the purported incident on Saturday by a reliable industry source. Most importantly, FSC would like to make clear that these reports were not involving APHSS.org testing facilities. This fact has limited the information gathered by FSC/APHSS.org and we can neither deny nor confirm specific facts about this incident. Due to legal issues concerning patient privacy, FSC/APHSS.org, as of yet, is unable to implement exposure protocols and procedures.
It is the recommendation of FSC/APHSS.org that an industry-wide moratorium on production be instituted immediately and continued for a time period until the primary reports are confirmed, and possible first- and second-generation exposures have been identified. The quarantine can be extended after that point, if necessary.
According to the information that is available, the performer in question may have tested positive for HIV at a testing facility that does not appear to have protocols or procedures in place for medical follow-up (including generational testing).
However, FSC/APPSS.org cannot act on the behalf of any testing facilities outside the APHSS.org system until we are requested to do so by the performer or any medical advisor authorized by the performer. Again, we have been in contact with concerned parties and have offered to assist them in anyway possible, while still remaining compliant with the performer’s wishes for assistance, in respect to legal constraints that require that the performer’s privacy be protected, as well as other compliance issues.
In addition to the moratorium on production, FSC/APHSS.org also recommends that active performers who are concerned about possible exposure (or who would like to take extra precautions to confirm their own well-being) consider being tested as soon as possible.
FSC/APHSS.org also recommends that industry members avoid spreading unverified information until the involved parties are able to confirm developments, or until information is received from an appropriate medical authority.

Whoever tested postive needs to research and re-test in different places which have different standards because the same “+” results in one lab will be “-” in another lab because of different standards. There is no gold standard and no HIV test claims it’s test proves HIV “infection”.

the test doesn’t look for the actual virus its self. The test looks for the antibodies that the virus creates. Which most test can pick up faster than the actual virus. Most rapid test is 95. percent after 30 days and after 90 days its 99.7 percent. When I was working in the clinic we never had a false positive.
Protocol is if you get a rapid test positive, you do a blood draw for a western blk.

Does it not strike anyone as odd that, although the 2009 case (which took place in Nevada) and the 2010 Derrick Burts case (Florida) were not California-based productions, AHF’s response has been to demand mandatory condoms in California — along with a Los Angeles-based ballot initiative?
Even if enacted, these measures would have done NOTHING to prevent these cases of HIV exposures within the adult industry.
If anything, AHF’s relentless attacks on the California adult production industry will lead to MORE risk for performers, because someone, somewhere will always be willing to take risks that California workers would be prevented from taking.
These are the people who DESTROYED the health clinic for adult industry performers, helped drive adult production out of state, and, in the process, fractured adult industry health and safety protocols designed to prevent and mitigate such incidents. Why? So that condom Nazi Michael Weinstein could assert that now that the industry’s protocols have been compromised, “the responsible thing for the industry to do” is require condom use on all adult film sets.
Certainly there had been porn production outside of California prior to AHF’s attacks — but we can now see the tragic consequences of driving adult production away from the San Fernando Valley (and/or underground). Make no mistake, because of Weinstein’s agenda there will be more and greater risk to performers, not less.

They either have to trade or start Montero, because if they keep him in AAA again, it’s going to hurt his value, and the development of the other catchers in the system. Big hitting catcher is a commodity, big hitting first baseman/DH is a dime a dozen. If he’s not the starting catcher or DH next year, he’s gone for pitching. Stick him in the DH spot (#8) and he’ll be coming to bat w/ men on base alot w/ all the walks ARod and Swisher will get. Nice low impact way to get him RBI’s and experience. And over the next few years float him between dh/1b and catcher, as Roid and Tex need more time at DH. Shit, we got like 8 more years of looking at ARod’s sorry ass tainting the pinstripes, he aint gonna be at third much longer, 50 game transition a year, 3 years until he is full time there.
Yankees need to start drafting for the day when Jeter retires and Arod is full time DH. 3b is a hard one to find quality at. And the Yanks have a hard time w/SS. There were a shit ton of forgettable names between Rizzuto and Jeter.

The problem with Cano in front of Curtis is that Cano can’t run as much and, would clog up the bases a little more. And as you alluded, a lower OBP. Jeter is not as fast as Gardner or Grandy, of course, but he’s a good and smart base-runner, and batting 2nd is a good utility placement for him there.
Swisher actually has the highest OBP, but he can’t run and has occassional dingers. Right behind, OBP-wise is Granderson with the most HRs (as well as the highest number of strikeouts). Right behind OBP-wise is ARoid.
If Nunez could raise his OBP and take some walks he’d be very dangerous.
It should be a fun next three games with Boston.
