NL-I’d like to hear from people who have a store at Clips 4 Sale, Have your sales gone way down as the person below states? I’d like to hear from Neil at Clips 4 Sale to let me know his point of view on the below email. I’d also like to hear from other current or previous workers at C4S. Op/Ed by a former employee at Clips 4 Sale-
"I used to be the lead programmer for C4S on the video side just before the company changed, they were paying me to install a "skip pay" function on all the stores meaning that there would be sales but it wouldn’t show up in the owners store if the number in the php file was set from a 0 to say a 9 (9) meaning that there would be 9 sales and it would show up as 1 in your account. The number changes depending on how many clips you sell within 30 days.
Here is how it worked:
If you just signed up as a new store your "skip sale" number was set at 0 which means for every sale that came in, it would record to your account.
If your store was selling 10 or more videos per day, your "skip sale" number was set at 1 which means for every 2 sales 1 sale would show up in your account and so on.
This number was based on the number of clips you sold within a month.
This is why people are no longer seeing sales in their stores. Stores that were 3 years old that were making 10k a day in sales are now making a fraction of that.
Ever since Neil brought in other people to take over his company, his programmers and his site has gone down the drain. I told him that and he didn’t wanna listen. He also didn’t pay me in full for all my work.
Here is what this guy does.. He brings in programmers to write small code, then fires them and bring in other programmers to put the code together for him.
This company sucks, and because of the saturation in stores, I wouldn’t bother selling on this site.
His list also is programmed to drop his fav or friends off the top list either. It’s all rigged and fixed.
TO TEST:
I’ve often wondered how a clip store owner could actually know they weren’t being cheated by clips4sale not reporting sales. I think a producer should test this and buy 10-20 of one of his own clips in 1 day and see if they all show up as sales for that day."
Outstanding insider information. I bet clips4sale isn’t the only one doing this sneaky shit. Another reason why you can’t trust anyone. Anyone at all.
my c4s stores have declined in sales over the last year or so but I chalked it up mostly to the economy, it wouldn’t surprise me if this turned out to be true though because I suspect that what he says about Neil’s buddies always being the top stores is true.
But id say dont buy your own clips instead have someone else do it with a credit card that has a different name and billing address Id like to see how that turns out.
But what I dont get is why Neil would do that he makes bank on that site without doing so.
Neil read my comment here and felt I was less than fair with him and I suspect he may be right, let me elaborate.
I have had a store with c4s for several years and I have dealt with Neil personally during that time.
I put lindsey lovehands in his booth at Exotica Miami for instance and we were treated VERY well by Neil and Abe.
When I have had issues about content that I owned being in someone elses store he was on it immediately…I mean not days but hours.
Like I said in my last sentence on the post my issue is why would he do it if this is true, he certainly doesn’t need to, he has a business model that has made him a LOT of money even before the alleged reprogramming.
The poster would gain a lot more credibility if he/she identified him/herself.
When I actually looked at my revenue from c4s and compared it to the revenue of my sites that have the same content the percentage of decrease over the last two years is pretty much the same, pointing more to economic downturn in my mind.

Shaving has become so common place anymore it makes me sick. I actually caught a MAJOR (one of the top 3) studios shaving sales on their affiliate and they are even using nats. I never realized it was even possible to do it using nats but turns out what they did is hard code in their own “type-in” links on certain aspects of their page so if your referred person clicked the join from 2 or so of the maybe 10 or so different “join” links on any given page they would get the credit for the sale and not you.
If the major major big boys are willing to screw you, why not these guys too? Seriously nothing surprises me anymore, nothing.
I believe it. I have also heard stories about AEBN Theater sales suddenly taking a nosedive over the past year. Everyone is shaving hard these days, there will not be any affiliates left soon.
Kelli, which affiliate program is it? I think it is Vivid’s because I send them pure SEO traffic and haven’t gotten a sale in over a year. I am in the process of pulling all their links.
There is a moral to this story but the key thing for anyone out there reading this is DO NOT trust ANYONE via this business model!
I also imagine since most everyone is shaving nowadays a new business model will replace this low down, sneaky one.

Just an update I have many many friends with C4S stores and we are doing a methodical testing of the system including single sales and multiple sales at different times during the day. We will finish tomorrow and have the results wed.
I will say this so far we have made about 15 purchases and every single one was properly credited.
None involved any of my stores, that would have been to easy to see coming.

This is the type of shit that is partially why folks share porn instead of buying it. If I buy ET or Star Wars from Amazon.com or Bestbuy.com the DVD will arrive as ordered and you get charged for the amt you expect to pay. Its rare you will get fucked over. However when you order anything in the porn industry you fear for your wallet because the industry is full of people fucking everyone over for a $$$.
Over the years I have been double billed on my credit card for stuff I ordered from porn sites, been charged reoccuring monthly fees that aren’t mentioned when you sign up, ordered movies that show the box cover of the porn and when it shows up its a recorded on blank VHS or DVD with the movie’s name on a sticker that was mass produced and the movie is there but its a reproduction with no fancy box cover like some guy was making them in his garage or back room. Also ordered a Lisa Deleeuw movie one time only to find she wasn’t even in the movie even tho she the star on the box cover and listed in the credits as the main star. Ordered movies with Karma Rosenberg and Friday in them (respectively) and months later bought a different DVD with Karma and a different DVD with Friday (2 instances) and both times it was the same scene I already paid for on another earlier DVD.
So folks don’t mind sharring porn for free instead of buying it because everyone and anything in the porn industry is just fucking everyone else over and fans figure they got it coming.
I can say I know Neil and his Father Abe and his Mother Lyla. I went to New Zealand with them for a week last year.
You will not meet more genuinely good people in this business…and remember, I have been doing this since 1998 so I have been around a bit and earned the place to speak.
Clips4sale.com is a tremendously successful and innovative business that allows people with all tastes and fetishes to not only buy the clips they have a hard time finding elsewhere but to also turn their fetish into a business.
if someone uploads the same clip more than once and renames it how is that Neil’s fault? Seriously? I did a content shoot with another girl and when I uploaded my version of the video that she had edited and sent me the C4S script wouldn’t let me add it because it was being sold by another C4S vendor so there are steps in place to avoid this but if someone wants to beat the system it can’t be stopped.
I’m telling you, these are good people and there’s a reason that their success is unmatched in the clips business. If you met them as I did you wouldn’t doubt them for a second.
Likability is not an indication of honesty. Clips4Sale won’t be the last to be caught shaving in this rotten economy.

I agree…however when you know someone and know their parents and see how they conduct themselves and treat not only their clients but their employees and people they have little use for…you get a pretty idea of what kind of people they are. I saw how Neil and his father and mother treated EVERYONE, not just the “important” people.
I’m telling you as someone who has been a pretty judge of character these are bullshit accusations. I think the fact that Neil is asking to confront this person face to face and have this aired openly says a lot for his behalf.
The next thing Mariah will be saying is that blow-hard Bill Margold is just a sweet teddy bear, not the defrauding use of a supposed non for profit charity dirtbag that he most certainly is.

It was my intent to ignore the accusation directed at Clips4Sale.com that has no merit, but by request of many of my producers that have been with Clips4Sale from the beginning this is my response.
Neither myself or Clips4Sale.com conduct business in such a way that has been stipulated in this allegation and I would like to call upon the person who has unlawfully made these accusations to come forward and reveal him or herself.
You the accuser have one of two (2) options on how to rectify this public display of harmful information against Clips4Sale.
Option 1 – Come out with a public announcement admitting that the information you have released is fraudulent and your accusations were simply a malicious attempt to tarnish the Clips4Sale.com reputation for your own personal satisfaction and provide your true identity to Clips4Sale.com directly to ensure that we NEVER encounter such occurrences with you again.
If you publicly apologize there will be no further legal action against you.
Option 2 – Come forth to us directly and agree to have an in person meeting in Las Vegas during AEE 2011 with a reporter/interviewer of your choice to record the meeting and bring your claimed evidence of the accusations to the meeting so that the truth can be revealed.
Consequences – The following consequences will be immediately implemented if you fail to comply with either of our above requests within 7 days of this announcement. The Clips4Sale legal team will be involved where we will seek you out and you will be brought to justice in the court of law. If this is the route that we have to take we will not hesitate to do so and we will spare no expense in getting justice.
To rectify this situation simply come forth with a written public apology or face the consequences of your allegations.

We purchased 30 clips across 6 stores in varying amoumts over the course of 3 days.
All sales were properly credited.
Until someone provides hard evidence to the contrary, I’m calling bullshit on this one. Just another anonymous hack with an axe to grind because he was shut down for selling stolen content or something.

my sales are low this is why i decided to do some research just to see if others are affected, I don’t think Neil would rip us off he doesn’t need to he has a good business model here and its not worth the bad reputation, perhaps some of his workers are though without his knowledge?
