Jezebel Yum, who has previously been known as Ruby or Jenna on a number of websites, including Shemale Yum, Franks Tgirlworld, Bob’s Tgirls, Shemale Strokers and Shemale Pornstar took her own life, on the evening of Monday 18th October at approx. 9.45pm.
Jezebel was a colourful character and often could be found at various Tgirl nights around the Hollywood and Los Angeles area and with her assertive personality, voracious sense of humour and a few drinks, she was hard to miss. My first encounter with her, she mistook me for somebody else and threatened to slap Bob and I! When the mistake had been rectified she was funny and vivacious and I was lucky enough to meet her a few times outside the realms of the club scene.
As a model, she wasn’t always the easiest to work with but once on set, ready to shoot she delivered some of the best scenes of recent years. Her debut was in 2006 on Shemale Yum at the age of 21 but it was her work on Shemale Pornstar that produced two particularly good sets, one as a “Genie Jezebel” and the other a military style, desert shoot were very well received. Jezebel had a fairly unique look, or so we thought until she changed it up to peroxide blonde for a while in 2009, which went down very well!
I don’t think it’s unfair to say that Jezebel was a fairly troubled girl and had a volatile temperment. Whatever decision she made to take her own life on the night of 18th October, judging by comments left, she left a lot of family and friends behind who cared very much for her.
Jezebel Yum was 24 when she died by suicide.
The tgirl party at Blue Moon Nights, on Thurs 18th Oct, is donating it’s door money to Jezebel’s family to help with the funeral dancers and some of the dancers will be donating their dancer money to the same cause. Updated news on this will be on HungDevils.com

Truly sad when we loose anyone to suicide. From all accounts she was such a bright and funny person to be around and sad I never had the pleasure to meet her in person.
This is a tragedy. Many TS’s are depressed because they are targeted by both gays and straights, men and other women. I’m so sorry that this girl felt so down she took her own life.
Damn, so many transgender women have been killed in the past 5 years (the average is like 3 publicized cases a year). How come Shelley doesn’t highlight their deaths?

Life must be difficult for most of them except for the very small few transexuals who truly resemble women. Trannys always try harder than women to be women and some men like them because they’re simply more accessible. Some tranny hos used to live and do business across the street I used to live at and I saw from my balcony a lot of little Mexican guys going up the stairs, then coming out again say 10-20 minutes later. They probably prefer them to their fat wives. I had a stupid ex roommate who “hates faggots” but thought a tranny was hot and couldn’t tell she was a he.
The National suicide rate is 3 per 100,000.
With transgenders, however, it’s hard to get a hard number. I’ve read rates ranging from 21% to 31% to between 30-50% having attempted suicide. A lot of them abuse drugs and harm themselves daily either by cutting or self mutilation.
The only female-to-male transsexuals suicide attempt rate I’ve come across is 5%, so having a addadicktamy operation is not as typically common or troublesome as a lopitoffamy operation or just transexualism in general. I suppose the peckers must work, too!

How does this go down in Shelley’s twisted porn body count, is it due to being in porn or is it due to the depression surrounding being transgendered? I know her body count includes people who have died of cancer, old age, car accidents and other non-porn related causes.
I wasn’t being funny, not in the way you think, O. It’s not what you say or who says it but how you say it, you know what I’m saying? Maybe not.
This is truly a sad story, but I have one question:
If donations are being accepted to pay the ‘funeral dancers’ and some of the dancers are donating their fee to the same cause, have we not just created an infinitely recursive feedback loop?
I suppose it would be a memorable occasion if time-travel or interstellar travel results from this tragic turn of events…

anytime anyone is so depressed the only way to escape is suicide is beyond sad, t/s or whatever they may be on the outside, inside they are still a person with emotions and feelings.

Btw, does anyone know if Jezebelle was doing meth? It’s a fixture supposedly in a large percentage of the tranny sub-culture. Meth will definitely make you suicidal and other things, which doesn’t help someone already living on the margins of society.
Jeremy I dont know where you got that information from but its NOT true. I have lived in the community and as a transsexual for MANY years and know 100’s of ts women and “meth” is not the drug that stands out in my mind. In fact in all these years know of only 2 that were rumored to have done anything like that and both were civilian not in the Industry.

Thanks Wendy. I never suggested “meth trannies”, as Mr. Clark has mentioned, dominate the landscape or the percentages. The vast majority of gays have never been designated HIV+, either. I have no idea what the percentages are, but trannies supposedly have quite a higher suicide/suicide attempt rate, as well. It sounds like you’ve never hung out with too many “meth trannies”, the likes who have always been good poster-children for the AIDS industry.
So now Jezebelle is in Tranny Heaven. Some believe God is a Tranny; a yin/yang blend of the male and female energies, without any necessary surgeries.
Thinking of you today, Jezebel, I knew you before the transition. I miss when you would randomly call me and we would catch up over the phone for hours. I still remember that night in WEHO together dressed up. I Miss You and still waiting on those random calls mamas.
