NL-Yes, but just to cover my ass, I have to say this is a rumor. BUT i am personally convinced and believe I have confirmed this to be true. There is a HIV positive test done at AIM. They are trying to get all the info together and will be putting out a statement about it soon. At this time I can’t confirm that it is a porn star who tested positive. But since it was mentioned that the statement they do write up was for AVN, I can surmise that it is. The other rumor is that it is from a Male. I don’t know sexual orientation.
That’s all i got. i am sure there will be lots more to come. But I am not making any guesses, or putting out anything floating around on Twitter. This is enough for everyone to be EXTRA CAREFUL!

It pisses me off even as someone who is gay when a male performer does both, your not protecting your self and/or your co workers. selfish pricks.. I would also say I don’t think the industry should be condom mandatory either..

I do not agree with your first sentence. HIV positive performers are EVERYWHERE in the gay industry, performing every day.
But I do agree that these ‘crossover’ performers, who are without any doubt at a higher risk than the average stright industryperformers, are selfish prick,,,and so are the procucers who knowing ly hire them,,,lets not forget,,,theri are enough selfish pricks in this industry togo around.

This is a tragedy. A fatalistic one, but a tragedy none the less.
I’m not a performer but I feel more precautions and safety contingencies need to be undertaken. I’m not sure a condom-only policy would a prudent approach nor I am convinced that it is the only viable solution.
Condoms during sex should be a personal choice–and frankly there are more troubling things in the industry to protest–like the rampant escorting and the fact that an 18 year old girl can get gangbanged by five 40-yr old guys while still not able to have a legal drink.

Condoms should not be a personal choice. The “BOSS” or employer, if you will, shold make that decision for what happens in HIS workplace. And he should be financially responsible for what happens when HE, the employer, makes the choice to paythird parties to take risks. Just like performers are not forced to perform,,,,producers are not forced to produce porn….Producers are the one who set all these wheels in motion, and they should be resonsible for where those wheel s take them And I dont think that anybody is going to argue that without the PRODUCERS there would not be a product. Performers dont do this by themselves.
