Please be advised that JRL has received the link in which your web site posted a slanderous article by Tina Kim who was scheduled to perform at the 1st Annual JRL Gay Film Awards show last Sunday September 19, 2010.

1st off, please be advised that Tina Kim was to do a 10 Minute stand up routine at the show.  She was also email 1 month in advance the official program of the show which is attached for your review.

2nd, you will note in the programming material that all performers of the show are to be at all sound checks and rehearsals.  THIS WAS MANDATORY.

Tina Kima did not attend any of the sound checks including the final one on Saturday September 18th, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.  Further more, emails were sent to all talent of the show reminding them of the final sound check on Saturday between 5:30 and no later than 6:30 p.m via email at 10:30 a.m..  The email indicating this is also attached for posting.

Tina Kim stated to our President Christopher Thais that she didn’t receive any email and then retracted that statement by stating that she didn’t receivee the email until 4:00 p.m. Saturday September 18th, 2010.  Please note the date and time stamp of the email attached.

Further, she shows up at the show at 6:30 p.m. while everyone is racing around to get things in order since we opened our doors at 7:00 p.m. for guests.  She comes in complaining to staff members, stating where is my red carpet and dressing room, etc.  Completely ubnoxious to the point where a staff member had to call myself and our Christopher Thais via our cell phones to complain about her behavior.

We had her on speaker phone and could here her in the background…When Christopher Thais instructed our staff member to pass her the phone, her entire attitude changed.  Then she went on to state that she did not receive any emails.

When myself and Christopher arrived at the venue, she was sitting in a room with her guest. (Tickets provided to her at no charge).  Christopher walked up to her and asked her where have you been and why haven’t you attended any of the rehearsals, especially the final soundcheck on Saturday September 19th, 2010.

She further went on to state that she didn’t know about the soundcheck while drinking alcohol.

Christopher told her if the sound man has the time to do a sound check with you that’s fine but he is busy getting things ready for the show.  Christopher was completely through with her unprofessional behavior.

She was told that if there was a slot still open for her that the host would cue her.  At no time did she make an attempt to speak with our host of the show.  She sat in the audience and bought drinks during the entire episode.

After the show concluded, she then asked for Christopher Thais requesting to be paid!

Christophe Thais told her, you did not show up for rehearsals, you did not show up for soundcheck and you show up 30 minutes before doors open and expect to be paid for doing nothing but sitting in the audience and getting drunk.  He told her that he would not pay her anything for doing nothing.

She then went on to say that she would sue Christopher Thais in small claims court for her $ 200.00 fee.  He stated do what you feel is best.  Then she sends over an email which is also attached stating that she is giving JRL 1 week to pay her or she was going to rip our name all over the internet.

It’s funny how she states she is giving a company a week to pay her by threatening to slander their company name and then proceeds to go on to your website on Wednesday Septembe 22nd, 2010 and attempts to slander JRL through your website. I will be contacting our attorney regarding her posting and will see if legal action is required in this matter to be taken against Tina Kim.

She stated that she had an email confirming her fee from Christopher Thais.  If this is so, please forward that document to me because we have a simple verbal agreement which was done via telephone.  All correspondence to all participants of the show are well documented.

I would hope that Lukeisback.com thoroughly checks their stories out before posting because that can cause harm to you from business outlets.

She then started shouting in the venue to the point where security guards had to escort her and her companion out of the facility.
