Elexis Monroe “Benefit” DVD in Question

UPDATE- So the talent donated half of their earnings and GFF matched that making another donation? I’m still not exactly sure what the deal was here…

NL-This was posted on the Forum of Girlfriends Films concerning a movie made to benefit Elexis Monroe. My understanding is the talent who performed in the movie were paid half their usual rate and Elexis received the other half of their pay. So the talent is who really made the donation, not the movie company.

Well, Sinn Sage finally broke the information yesterday evening on twitter. For those who don’t follow her, this is what she said.

So now we know, Elexis will get none of the proceeds from the sale of the "benefit" DVD.

The only question I have for GFF is this – why did they think this cynical manipulation of a woman who is the face of their company, someone who was literally fighting for her life, the models who supported her and of her fans, wouldn’t get out?

Much as I like Sinn Sage, she really does have this wrong—though in fairness, it may not have been explained to her as it was stated in the GFF press release posted January 3, which can be found here: http://business.avn.com/company-news/Principal-Photography-Wraps-on-Elexis-Monroe-Benefit-Movie-499156.html. Basically, it says that half of each performer’s salary was to be donated to Elexis’ “health fund,” and that GFF would match that total amount in a separate donation, plus Elexis got December’s $1,000 monthly GFF charitable donation. Nothing was said about her receiving any proceeds from the movie itself. That said, I hope people will continue to donate to Elexis, since as everyone knows, operations are incredibly expensive, and those without health insurance (like Elexis) can really get screwed. Wonder if Obamacare could be any help?

girlfriends films MATCHED every donation dollar for dollar including the half of their rate that performers donated, they gave elexis over 10K in December when she needed it.

Why is it these porn chicks who spend their money on anything but health insurance think its everyone elses responsibility to bail them out when they are irresponsible?

I would like to point out that the PR that came out about the movie mentions nothing about the profits or proceeds from the movie going to Elexis. It says that the talent was donating half their pay and GFF was going to match that plus any other donations the talent made I believe

I am pretty sure Dan and Moose have put their money where their mouths and PR is and will continue to do so. They are very upstanding guys in my opinion and I doubt they would ever mislead the public for corporate gain especially at the expense of someone in need.
