David Steinberg Photos Focus on Pleasure and Joy at Upcoming San Francisco Erotic Art Exhibition

Dear Cindi,

I’m happy to announce that I will be showing 15 of my couples photographs, focusing on the themes of pleasure, joy and surprise, at the 2012 San Francisco Erotic Art Exhibition this coming weekend (Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23). The group show will take place at Gallery 4N5 (formerly Artists Alley), 863 Mission Street, between 4th and 5th Streets in downtown San Francisco.

I will be showing a selection of the photographs I have taken of over 160 couples in the last 12 years. The particular images I have chosen are a celebration of the joy, wonder, and humor that often accompanies enthusaistic sexual connection.

The 2012 San Francisco Erotic Art Exhibition, the fourth collection of erotic art curated by Peter Keresztury, includes erotic painting, drawing and sculpture, as well as erotic photography. A total of 25 artists are represented in the show, including Eugene Frankel, Edson Yamakazi, Nancy Peach, TomFoolery, Chi Lum, and Vlad Kenner. Over 400 works of erotic and sexual art will be exhibited.

I will be at the opening reception, Friday night, September 21, from 4:00 to 10:00, and throughout the weekend (schedule below). Many of the other artists will be present as well. A number of peformance events are scheduled during the weekend (also listed below). My books of erotic photography will be on sale at discounted prices all three days. Admission is $5 on Friday and Saturday, and free on Sunday. You must be at least 21 to attend.

Gallery 4N5 is located at 863 Mission Street (between 4th and 5th Streets). The gallery is directly below the parking garage across the street from Bloomingdale’s and the Westfield San Francisco Centre, a few doors down from Good Vibrations.

Friday, September 23
Opening and reception, 4-10 pm

Tie Me Up," rope bondage demonstration by TomFoolery.
Live erotic performance by Coralee Lynn Rose and Patrick Andraste.

Saturday, September 24
Exhibition, 1-10 pm
Adult toy demonstration by Good Vibrations, 6:00 pm.
Erotic fashion show by Felicity’s Fetiche, 7:30 pm.
Tie Me Up," rope bondage demonstration by TomFoolery.
Live erotic performance by Coralee Lynn Rose and Patrick Andraste.

Sunday, September 25
Exhibition, 12-5 pm
