Smash Picks Lead Actors…

LOS ANGELES — Smash Pictures announced today that it has tapped Allie Haze and Ryan Driller to topline their upcoming adult parody of E.L. James’ "Fifty Shades Darker," the second book in the British author’s best selling BDSM trilogy.

"Fifty Shades Darker XXX" will re-imagine the story of Anastasia Steele (Haze), a 22-year-old college virgin who willingly gives up all sexual and emotional control to a 27-year-old billionaire named Christian Grey (Driller).

The books, dubbed "mommy porn" by the New York Times for their appeal to women over 30, are enjoying the same phenomenal success experienced by Dan Brown’s "The Da Vinci Code" and Stieg Larsson’s “Millennium” trilogy. A feature film is currently in production at Universal/Focus.

"Fifty Shades Darker XXX" is slated to shoot in June. Jim Powers is attached to direct.
