There was a yahoo poll online asking this question. What’s The Best Thing About The SuperBowl? The choices were- the game, the food, the commercials. The results were that 52% of people said commercials, 32% the game & 16% the food! I’m going to add a couple more choices- The half time show, the friends/family you watch with, and ask for your answer. Tell us about how your spend the superbowl, I’d also like to know what your favorite commercial is… And of COURSE, who do you want to win?
The halftime show – because with the beauty of live TV and even WITH the 7 second delay, one NEVER KNOWS what may happen.
Well the commercials are innovative and the game is a tribute to physical freaks who get big money to miss class in college. Really as a nation I think we have more important things to address than the silly sports and such. The media is focused on crap while inflation is super high at the market, mall, gas pump and airports. The idiots in society care more about Linsey Lohan than the governments assault on the Constitution and liberty.
Really Sandy? Don’t blame the media, they only cover what the public demands and makes the most money from through advertising. If you haven’t realized yet, this society is driven by money. In addition, sports and other forms of entertainment (including porn) is escapism from the harsh realities of the current economic situation for millions of people.
We focus on trivial shit while being bamboozled out of our constitution, rights, livelyhood, and futures not to mention we in our lifetimes have changed the atmosphere of the planet that has been here unchanged for tens of thousands of years.
Since I live in Germany and the game is on at 12pm until 4am, my friends rarely watch the superbowl.
So it´s usually the game for me and (unless I have to work) tweeting with Twitter friends from the US.
But actually I love watching the commercials afterwars on You Tube.
Betting $1,000 on the Giants with 3 1/2 pts. to boot. Then hitting on 3 quarters on the 100 square pool board. Lots of Michelob Ultra, cocktail weiners in the crock pot with Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce, and getting laid all day Monday with the day off from work. NL- NICE Kal!
