My Body, My Choice

I find it hard to believe that it’s 2012 and I find myself, amongst others, fighting for our rights. Now I’m not talking about the longest American war in Afghanistan, North and South Korea’s constant struggle, or even the “War on Drugs”. Sadly to me, some of those wars will never end because there’s just too much money in it for too many people. What I’m talking about is something much more obscure, but in all honesty, just as outrageous. In June my fellow voters could be voting on if I should have the choice to choose what I think is acceptable for my own body by forcing me to use condoms while performing in movies.
But not only condoms, we would literally have to have a porn set Operation Room sterile. Gloves, dental dams (female condom), goggles, biohazard waste receptacles, sharps containers, hospital scrubs, haz-mat suits, and so on. Although all of these things are already on most sets and would also make great props for a movie, they would actually be staple items on a set and would have to be used accordingly. As some of you may know from other blog posts, on other sites I’ve been involved with this issue a little bit. I’ve attended one of the Cal/OSHA meetings where I was told about the goggles during an oral sex scene and nearly lost it. Seriously, I had to leave the meeting because I was so outraged.
What happen to having a choice? Last time I checked I lived in America and that is what our Country is based on, freedom of choice. They’re trying to take away our Constitutional rights because of Michael Wienstein’s “agenda” to scam more money. Why? Well, why is the AIDS Heathcare Foundation so against the FDA approving the new prevention drug? There’s so much more and it’s too much of a “conspiracy theory” for me.
I recently did an interview for Russia TV on the issue of condoms being forced upon the City of LA and possibly LA County porn performers. Here is the a quote from the segment. “I am completely flabbergasted that the City of Los Angeles allowed Michael Wienstein of the AIDS HealthCare Foundation and his army to basically bully them with false statistics, misleading statements and extremely false pretenses,” says Alia Janine. “What bothers me the most about all of this is that there’s no choice. I am a legal, consenting adult and I should have the choice. The city is being played by one man’s grueling agenda and it needs to stop. Hopefully, the voters of Los Angeles County will vote against this measure in June. Right now, it only affects the City of Los Angeles. So, if you’re against condoms in porn or just feel the government shouldn’t be making decisions for us, make sure to vote.”
Things have gotten pretty stupid. Hopefully California’s madness does not spread to other states.

Alia is right, it is up to the performers. They have to test, but rubbers, that is an individual choice. I think 100% rubbers for Anal, at least double anal would be a good choice. Florida should have a condom law if any place does. Alia has some of the best real tits in the business. At the same time I know Mae Victoria came out in support of rubbers, I see her point and she is far from a dumbass. It should be up to the performers and not Michael Weinstein. Maybe one should consider the maturity level of male performers, not age.
I don’t know, Larry — anal might be a situation where you’d want less risk of friction burns/tears to increase the risk of transmission. Condoms leak and break, at an observed on-set rate of about 15%. Talk about a false sense of security. Add in all the condom changing that becomes necessary as the scene progresses, and they’re not only unfeasible in many circumstances, they can also be potentially ineffective or more dangerous than going bare.
All the arguments I’ve seen supporting mandatory condoms rest on the premise that there is a good reason to deny adults — the same class of people who can join the army, or become police officers, or drive automobiles, or go rock-climbing, or get an abortion — the right to use their bodies to have sex in a way that some nanny-fascist disapproves of. Consenting adults have the right to make choices with their own bodies, even dangerous choices, of which you or I do not approve.
