Shyla’s “Lawyer” Threatens me…

I received this from Shyla’s  "lawyer" tonight. I find it hard to believe that someone that went to law school would spell this many words wrong… and you know what? I started off ***starring*** the name the "lawyer" called her thinking it’s her real name. But since i don’t know if this is a real lawyer, and the name he is using for her is not one that I know as her real name, I gave  up on  it.  I don’t know if her real name is H****. Do you? I also hate when someone tries to scare me off a story. If they really had a problem with what i said, they could tell me their side and convince me. When I get emails from fake lawyers who give me more information than i had in the first place, (i mean did i say anything about needle marks or heroin? ) they would have been better off just SHUTTING THE FUCK UP! …

Ms. Loftus:

I am an attorney representing *********, aka “Shyla Stylez”. It has come to Ms. ******s attention that you plan to publish an article (the “Article”) making false and misleading statements about Ms. Hardy, namely, that she abuses illegal narcotics such as heroin.

This claim is a malicious and vile attempt to subject Ms*****y to reputational harm in a manner that will undoubtedly damage her social standing and career prospects, and serves no redeemable or newsworthy purpose whatsoever. The claim of narcotics use by Ms. H****, along with supposed claims that she performed negligently during a recent professional appearance and was intoxicatd during a booking, are categorically and demonstrably false, and as such constitute defamation of character. Marks on Ms. ********s arm which you apparently intend to claim are due to heroin needles are in fact marks from a legitimate illness and its treatment. Let me emphasize the severity of your false claims and the ease with which Ms.******* can disprove them.

Please be aware that under California Civil Code sections 44 and 45, intentional publication of a false fact which has natural tendency to cause “special damages” is grounds for a defamation claim against you and whatever publication you intend to distribute the Article through. Statements which damage a person’s reputation in business and impact their ability to make a living are “per se” defamatory as are statements which suggest that someone has committed a crime (such as, in this case, abuse of illegal narcotics) and special damages are presumed. To clarify, you have made malicious and verifiably false statements about Ms. Hardy which directly impact her ability to secure employment and make a living, and are defamatory on their face. As such, there is a presumption of liability leveled against you in this matter.

Accordingly, we hereby demand that you refrain from posting the Article or publishing these false and misleading claims in any medium. If you ignore these warnings and this notice of the falsity of your claims, Ms. H****** will immediately take legal action against you and any faciliating publication(s) (including the “Luke Is Back” website), including filing suit against you for libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress. These are claims that carry severe penalties.
This message is not, and is not intended to be, a complete or exhaustive statement of all of Ms.******’s rights or claims. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed a waiver of any of Ms. H******’s rights or remedies, all of which are hereby expressly reserved.

Sincerely,

Matthew Bilinsky, Esq.

  1. The girl needs to put more effort into getting cleaned up and her head on straight rather then immediately have some vocabulary challenged lawyer threatening folks. If the porn life is too much for her then walk away and start over.

She should have some money salted away from all her years in porn/stripping/escorting. That is if she didn’t put all her money in a needle or up her nose. She is still a very beautiful woman and can get this under control.

First of all, that sounds pretty fishy to me.

If I remember right, Shyla first entered adult, and actually became a Playboy Playmate, using the name Amanda Freidland…so wouldn’t that be the official name? Of course, she could have changed it officially or trademarked “Shyla Stylez” as her own.

Secondly, any lawyer worthy of his/her name would proofread their legal threats before they post them.

And yeah…if this is indeed true about Shyla melting down, then that “lawyer” would be better suited intervening and getting Shyla to detox ASAP. That is too much talent to be wasted or destroyed by drug abuse or alcohol.

But…it does explain a lot of why Shyla hasn’t been active of late.

Pretty damn distressing to me, to..since she was always one of my favs.

You are mistaken on one point, Anthony. Friedland was Amanda’a married name — after she married Bob Friedland of Jill Kelly Productions.

I’m not sure she ever used it legally, though. To the best of my knowledge, her divorce was not yet final when she appeared in my movie “Call Girl Wives”, and I believe that when we paid her, the check was made payable to her under her maiden name.

Regardless, her name is no longer Amanda Friedland, and her maiden name does indeed begin with an “H”.

  4. Cindy- If you Google Map the address and then go to street view, you will see that it is the “Beverly Hills Postal Place”, a mail box drop. If you google the “lawyer’s” name, it brings up a Huffington Post account of a law student. Nothing to worry about, ignore it. NL- THank you babe!

    “reputational”, “intoxicatd”, “verifiably” & “faciliating”

The American education system at its best!

  6. I wish Shyla all the best. Shyla Stylez stars in the 2010 AVN Best Comedy Flight Attendants. She actually was really great to work with and was a lot of fun on the set and never complained about the long shooting days. Check her out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_DWJ3rlXM0

I wish her all the best as she is a very cool lady and my hopes are that she is well and not all messed up or if she is then I hope she is on the road to getting help.

    Michael:

I stand corrected, as it were.

Only reason why I asked that is that on her first MySpace fan page, she used the ID “Amanda Friedland” as well as “Shyla Stylez”. Was that the name she used when she became a Playmate, though??

Anyways, whatever happens, I’m rooting for Shyla to get things together.

    Anthony

  8. Michael Whiteacre says:

I don’t know that she was ever a “Playmate.”

In my movies, she used the screen name Amanda Auclair — which was her grandmother’s maiden name, if I’m not mistaken.

I’m trying to get in touch with her now. She’s a very special young lady, and I’d move heaven and hell to help her.

  9. Well according to the California Bar Association, the name is right but the address and contact info is all wrong:

    http://members.calbar.ca.gov/fal/Member/Detail/248411

This site (which I trust for accuracy as far as I could throw it if it was tied to a truck) has the contact info the same as the email:

This site also has a different address and phone #

Sorru for my English, I hope you understand what I mean. I am shocked by number of comments I read in various forums and twitter about the sorry affair of Shyla.
It would seem that many people are happy about this whole unfortunate situation.
Maybe all this disregard is one of the reasons that Shyla is in trouble. Most of the fans “love” to your favorite pornstar but destroy at the earliest opportunity. I do not know. Maybe I’m too “old” (42) to understand but if I am a fan of one pornstar I’m not glad these situations. Maybe i m very stupid and the majority is right, I don t think so
i m always criticize Shyla for the little contact she had with her fans, but I think we all need to understand that addiction is a disease, they all want to stop using and few can.
Finally I give all my support to Shyla, i can t explain why, but for me, “Shyla is a porno”

  11. I have a regular customer that always makes the same jokes about Shyla. Something about how if she fell out of a plane, she would safely bounce and come out if it unharmed due to the extreme plastic surgery going on there.

I then go on to wane nostalgic of her rookie days when she was petite and had the looks of a high-school crush, not a muscular, plastic, beastwoman.
