All the characters do good imitations of the original but I gotta say that James Deen as Gerry & Eric John as Crammer are good enough to be on TV, with clothes on.
Great story line surrounding an adult video store and Crammer deciding to make his OWN porn movie. He thought he would just be the director, but he ended up with a starring role. And the lucky guy gets to make it with Sasha Grey & Sadie West, who both play themselves. ( And they played themselves very well! lol)
I don’t know how Eric John stays in character as Crammer and has sex at the same time. Now that takes some concentration. Not that it would be hard to get a double blow job from Sadie West and Sasha Grey. Or that it’s really hard to fuck Sasha & Sadie either. Just that it would be hard to act like Crammer while you were doing it, but Eric kept it cool and managed to shoot a load and sound like Crammer at the same time.

I have to say that The Girlfriend Experience was the worst movie I’ve seen all year, I will never get that time back and the acting was horendous!
Please…give me a break. James Deen was hardly good enough he could be on TV (so keep your day job buddy). Likewise, Eric John’s wig upstaged whatever he was trying to do (along with being a first class distraction in his pointless sex scene).
Kristina Rose was the only decent facsimile of the original cast; as she not only looks like ‘Elaine’, but didn’t try to ‘act’ like Elaine (which if she had, she’d end up looking as foolish as the rest of the cast).
As for The Girlfriend Experience, Sasha is another one who shouldn’t think about quitting her day job. Even the blind can see she can’t act her way out of a condom wrapper. I’m sure in her tiny delusional mind she’s already won the Oscar, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards…ugh. Moron.
I”m no fan of these rip-offs of these old tv shows or films. They’re strictly for the non-goer that normally doesn’t buy this stuff.
It’s only purpose is to attempt to be funny and satire. It’s neither sexy nor worth the money, but since mainstream folk apparently eat this stuff up it will continue w/ a marketplace.
Point is, there is nothing provocative or sexy about any of these at least the ones I’ve seen. Maybe it’s just me but when a porn film plays music in the backgroud during a scene is a deal-breaker for me.
And that goes for any type of porn. I want to here the people not some dumb ass jingle while in the act.
To be fair, not all of them are as dopy as this particular one. In fact, I actually enjoyed The Office XXX, as they had managed to get the camera style used on the actual show down to a tee. Likewise, the porn talent wisely DIDN’T try to imitate the mainstream counterparts.
For me at least, the parodies that are the most successful, are the ones that focus mainly on the ‘look’ of what they’re imitating — minus trying so hard that they come off like a bad high school production of said mainstream entity.
Also as far as music over the sex, just as long as it isn’t intrusive or shitty, it’s not a problem. What has killed the possibilities of integrating music into porn, was all of those dreadful Leisure Time and other bottom-feeding companies (along with big boys like Anabolic/Diabolic for a brief time) who would slap on a nerve-wracking guitar filtered through a Casio keyboard.
Then not able to leave enough alone, they’d crank the soundtrack so high, you couldn’t heard any of the fucking! So we can thank those losers for turning off consumers like GQtaste (as many directors/production companies have turned out truly amazing product that uses music to heighten the sexual content).
I agree w/ you w/ regard to the music during a scene. I dont’ want to hear that bullshit i what to hear human beings making noise by f’ing one another.
Don’t give up on music in porn yet GQtaste! Check out what directors like Jules Jordan, Ivan, Ricky D, and Mason are doing to successfully integrate the two.
