We all need a little culture- How about Porn & Poetry!

From Frank Andrick- hello poetry and lit. people – next sunday 8.16.09 the written/spoken word takes to the air from 6 to 8pm on the Pomo Literati. we start the program off with James Joyce from a recording in 1929 and segue into a track from Text Of Light ( sonic youth’s lee ranaldo project ) interpolating their brand of unique noise/music & a choir mouthing Joyce cantos. And that’s just the start ! A big request yearly event with David Houston and Strings live in the studio. This is my 10th year doing the Pomo lit. at KUSF so we continue to celebrate and this is also my B-day program and we celebrate all things  " LEO " with works by, about, and for Lee Ranaldo, Audrey Bitoni, Cindi Loftus, and others of Leo~nic persuasion. If you’ve heard us before you know to expect the unexpected. but please read below to get an idea. Thanks alot !! We’re on world wide but space aliens like us too.  ; )

Poet Tom Wilson w/ poems and prose. Bill Gainer asks questions and reads too. Patti Smith reads and performs Blake, Artaud, Milton, Marvell and Smith. Plus a selection of works by S.F. Poet Laureate Diane di Prima recorded at Poetry Unplugged @ Luna‘s a few years back. Also works by James Joyce, Text of Light (performing james joyce poetry w/choir), Philip Lamantia, Antonin Artaud, Jim Morrison, Tom Verlaine (spoken word), Chris Fairman, Chi Cheng, Josh Fernandez and Ross Hammond, and mixed medium word and sound collaborative efforts by DJ Fari, Jim ‘the germ’ Smith, and myself.
