L.A. Daily News Launches Its Six-Part Series On Porn

Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five Part Six

In part three, the Daily News says San Fernando Valley Adult companies rake in about a billion dollar annually, paying just $1.4 million in taxes to the city of Los Angeles.

I don’t trust the Daily News economic numbers because they show no discrimination with their sources. For one thing, they accept AVN’s numbers at face value.

Here’s the most ludicrous sentence I found in their series: "Worldwide revenues for the pornography industry in 2006: at least $97 billion led by China at $27.4 billion, South Korea at $25.7 billion and Japan at $20 billion."
