Why should Talent adjust their rates when it was the production companies that flooded the market, lowering the value of each scene? You guys need to keep in mind..the ONLY people that make a permanent sacrifice to their personal lives are the performers. I’m sure you’d like to see their rates drop, that would make YOUR lives eaiser…but again, you can leave the “biz” and go on to just about any field of work you want….talent is scarred for live. that doesn’t matter to you though…keep shooting more and more…keep putting them out there as much as possible and then bitch because the value has dropped and rates are too high.
It’s simple, the current rates are the lowest threshold of pain tolerable for people who wish to commit the irrevocable act of having sex on video and having that act follow them the rest of their lives. Otherwise, the incentive is to simply sell their bodies doing “privates” for people willing to part with such cash…the overall state of the industry is revolving around this incredibly inelastic aspect of the business, the rates of performers. Profit goals are also a shadow of what they once were, many studios hope to make a mere fraction of what they were making 2-3 years ago…besides. where else can the industry go from here now that it has done every conceivable debauched act, natural or unnatural, and the ONLY thing keeping addicted fans coming back is to see the next semi-beautiful girl perform the SAME debauched acts as all the others before her. It would NOT be logical that the “Next Big Female Star” should receive any LESS money compared to all the ones before her…ergo, rates remain high, even sharking up occasionally for a truly special girl.
