Living In Sin

Christian evangelist Heather Veitch blogs: "One of the first questions I am asked when I tell others about the ministry is "can a stripper still go to church and strip?" I have a standard answer that is something like this… " can a glutton go to church and still over eat?" But lately I have really been thinking. Who exactly is "living in sin"? I know I am .. but who else is? Is the sneaky lawyer "living in sin"?, is the mean and jealous pastors wife "living in sin"? Are the ministers that gossip and wish bad on other ministries "living in sin"? Most of these people wake up ever day without any thought of changing. I would think that most people would consider anyone who has no intention to change a sin to be the people who are "living in sin". I think we All are "living in sin". And All of us need to ask God to look into our hearts and show us where we are wrong and in need of change."

  1. Hmmmm, interesting. Well, with that logic then I presume that a child molester can still molest, a murderer can still, on occasion murder. Look, I’m no saint, but I’m not stupid either, the whole premise of christianity is CHANGE! That’s the whole point of the whole Christ on the cross thing you know? Didn’t a woman caught in adultery find herself before Christ, expecting him as well to condemn her and then die, but Christ said I don’t comdemn you, BUT, go and sin no more??? What was he saying? He was aying he forgave her but she still had a duty to no longer do that which got her into trouble in the first place. Again, sometimes its best blondes don’t speak and just look pretty.

  2. Well, Casper might have a point but is also true that change in doesnt always come in the spectacular Paulian way. Is not as easy as “stop being a whore”. Many girls are unhappy being whores (or sex workers if you are PC) but don¬¥t have the guts, self confidence, work skills to support herself and have substance abuse and mental problems. For them going to a church or even posting in a christian web site is a huge step. And relapses into sex work are very common. As much as I like their “work” specially the personal one on one type, if a girl want to quit all the power to her. Dead whores are no good. Many girls often search quietly for help years before taking the jump. I do not agree with all of Heather thoughts or beliefs but at least she is helping women in trouble.
